Friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Tasty food and perfectly paired with their Indian beer -King Fisher..!!Most of t food we order was delicious! The flavors are greatly empowered with the level of spices. Highly recommend Coromandel!!

Definitely Coromandel is one of the Classy Indian restaurant in New Haven!!I would highly recommend trying it out if your around the area and your hungry and looking for good quality food. The staff was also very good they looked after us very well I will be back soon for sure.
The lunch Special at Coromandel is excellent value for $15-$20. Gentle, non-pushy service, a smart understated dining room, and a wine list with a fair variety of price points. Staff were understanding about our timing and keen to be helpful. Really good experience all round. We will recommend Coromandel for Lunch or Dinner.
We had the private dining room for a work social event. Every dish we ordered were delicious. Good selection of fabulous alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. We were very well looked after throughout the meal. Thanks to Coromandel team !!
Delicious foods and generous portions. Excellent service!! Amazing Single Malt and Bourbon selection. We found it hard to finish the entire main course. We were a table of 3 celebrating an event and the staff offered a free dessert which was a surprise and totally made our day.Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Money well spent.Hats off to COROMANDEL!!
Food was fantastic, great attention to the flavor and preparation. I did take out , but they did a great job by preparing the food on time..New go to Indian spot!Take out portions are huge ( even though you spend money, you can get a leftover for next day:High quality food!!
Nice place, first time here. Excellent first impression and great lunch specials ( Right portion for one person)You can adjust spicy levels from 1 to 10. King fisher beer paired great with my meal, chicken Tikka masala (spice level 6could have gone higher but still enjoyed. Bathroom was very clean, well maintained restaurant.
Very good food! I have never liked Indian Food, but decided to give Coromandel a try. It was actually very good. Not too overly spiced. The atmosphere was lovely, cozy, and the staff friendly and helpful.Great selection Of Alcoholic and Non alcoholic drinks!!
Wonderful bucket list dining experience. We had the pleasure of celebrating my sisters birthday at Coromandel last night. Excellent staff. Vemkat was our exceptionally patient and friendly waiter who helped our first time trying Indian cuisine. Reasonably priced! Elegant atmosphere! Friendly staff! Most importantly, delicious food! Thank you for making our birthday girl very happy!
This place was wonderful. Delicious Indian food with a huge menu (all diets labeled!), very attentive service with recommendations, and they unexpectedly treated me to a GF dessert for my birthday!
One of the best Indian dinners I’ve had in a long time. Excellent food and service. Great wine list. Often I have a hard time finding things that are vegan and vegetarian but it was a perfect experience.Definitely will be back!
The service is impeccable. Rather than providing an overwhelming menu with average cooking, the quality of the food certainly meets top standards like the service. Decor is beautiful with good vibe!!Good Indian themed music, cute Bar, extremely creative cocktails!!Can’t wait to go and try other menu items at Coromandel!!

My wife and I were in from out of town. Visited here, very nice and great food! It’s up scale without being over the top, food is amazing quality and for the quantity we got price wasn’t as high as I was anticipating! Friendly service.I’d definitely recommend.
Packed on a Wednesday. Everything was amazing. We got the Ginger Martini, so great. All food was more than great. Rogan Josh, Tiki Masala, and I forget the other.. so bomb!!
A good spot for dinner! Variety of Indian cuisine, including vegetarian alternatives (which was especially important to us). The staff is kind and caring. Thank you, especially to the management. We tried everything he suggested, and everything turned out to be delicious!
This restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the service was quite attentive. The dinner was really amazing... we ordered main courses and were delighted we did. The flavors in each of our meals were diverse, and the rice was delicious.
My wife and I visited COROMANDEL CUSINE OF INDIA and were amazed at the quality of food and service. Food was served hot and excellent taste. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. I can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Restaurant was really busy for a Sunday evening. We noticed that Owner/ Manager was attending every table to ensure everything is perfect in each table.I heard one of their regular customer congratulating the Owner that Coromandel team does fantastic job for years.. and keep up the good job.!! Highly recommend this place..GOOD LUCK

The food at Coromandel in Orange is simply delicious! As soon as you enter the restaurant you will get a clean good vibe with a tantalizing aroma of the spices, relaxing music and beautiful decor including a new long mural. The place is immaculate with spacious classy fine dining set up.The Manager and waiters are hard working individuals super humble and hospitable. They always manage to make us feel home when we visit. Coromandel is my to go restaurant when I want to impress a friend from overseas or when I am craving comfort food. I love the food so much that I asked them to cater my husband’s birthday party and all my guests were delighted and impressed.I highly recommend Coromandel !!
Wow wow, properly impressed by the food - such authentic flavors - the quality is just on another level, yet the price is still affordable when you consider quality of food and generous portion. The restaurant itself is beautiful too. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Connecticut!!
This restaurants cuisine is delicious. The service is fantastic. The manager and the rest of the crew are doing an excellent job of looking after their consumers. Thank you very much for having such a wonderful restaurant in the heart of the city.
Excellent meal quality with authentic Indian flavour they also deliver for business parties and are reasonably priced. Their personnel provides excellent service. Definitely recommend this restaurant
This restaurant has some of the most outstanding Indian cuisines Ive ever had. The cuisine tasted so good that it brought me back to my own country India. If you enjoy Indian fusion cuisine, this is the place to go.
Excellent real Desi cuisineExcellent, genuine service. Theres also an excellent beer variety. Excellent meal quality with authentic Indian flavour; they also deliver for business parties and are reasonably priced. Their personnel provides excellent service.
We brought some colleagues here for dinner. The meal was delicious. The advice was ideal for our pallets and the correct pick. The quantity was plenty. Its our favorite restaurant in Orange, Ct! Special appreciation to the employees for their excellent service.
Dinner for a mother and daughterThe most delicious Indian cuisine Ive ever tasted. Tandoori chicken and shrimp were delicious! Fine dining with beautiful decor and excellent service. I highly suggest it!
I enjoy Indian food and was expecting a regular Indian dinner, but this was excellent. The restaurant is elegantly designed and furnished. A diverse menu ensures that everyone will find something to their liking. The food is delicious
Delicious birthday dinner! My buddies and I are going out to dinner to celebrate my birthday. The décor is wonderful and personal without being too near to the other customers. The service was excellent, and the meal was fantastic. The lunch was well presented. I highly suggest it!
I wanted to tell you about our incredible evening at Coromandel. The chef and his colleagues made an unforgettable meal experience for me. All five dishes were excellent and well-executed. They appeared to be works of art. The food and experience were created with a lot of love and consideration. The service was excellent.
What an extraordinary gem of a restaurant and catering business. We have been enjoying Mathews servings for well over a decade now, and the place has never, not once, disappointed. Portions are generous, and the prices are very good for the gourmet food they offer. My friends from India are fans of Coromandel, too, proving the authenticity of the cooking.Mathew also does an incredible job as a caterer, thinking of details even an experienced event planner might miss. They are prompt, very reasonably priced, and willing to work with you on a special menu and within a budget. This is one of the best restaurants in Connecticut, easily, and the catering side of it is equally good.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in this area. I spent one hour, being treated royally with fantastic food and impeccable service. Certainly I will be back and I will take Friend’s simply to impress them with my fine taste of Indian food!!Highly recommend Coromandel for a Lunch or Dinner. Very reasonable cost for the High quality food !!
Looking for Indian cuisine? This Coromandel restaurant provides exceptional service and delicious cuisine. One of my favorite eateries in town. A long time ago I visited this place, and now again I visited this place, the taste of the food is still the same. They provide the greatest Dosa in the New Haven area, and I am confident you will like it. It comes highly recommended.
The food at Coromandel is quite unique, and I had a fantastic experience there. Dishes that are unique and of the highest quality. Ive been here several times, and each time is an incredible experience all around. I always bring my out-of-town guests here since the meal is always excellent. Definitely a repeat client!
Three days ago me and my family went to Coromandel for dinner. The food is delicious, and they provide a variety of Indian cuisines. The Ginger Martini and Mango Mojito are two of their most popular cocktails. Thank you for the lovely dinner, Coromandel. I adore this area and will return.
The waiter handled our big party with much patience. Lol. I took his food suggestion and it was delicious, a vegetarian dish called panir hara pyaza. Food was high quality and well presented. Great place for special occasions. 2nd pic is the same dish 2 months later and was excellent again.
Height of cost cutting. No papad served with all that price hike. Kerala fish curry was awful. This place is loosing its charm. Will end up like Bharat Bazar soon. Look at the size of dinner biryani.
This is a must go to place. Food is extraordinary. The food is very authentic, like home cooked food. The service is great. Has seatings outside and we enjoyed it during nice weather. The owner him self greets every customer who comes to the restaurant. His is place I will visit again.
One of the best service, food and ambiance. Santana welcome with smile and same care after finished lunch. Great pleasure to have Indian cuisine in orange Connecticut. I ordered fix vegetarian lunch.
A while ago my brother and I went here to eat and asked for the popper chips that are usually served with or before the meal. I asked the waiter for them the first time and he seemed to have forgotten or was too focused tending to other guests, when I requested them the second time he brought me a batch that was left from another customer’s table who had left. The customer service and attentiveness that given to us by our waiter was extremely poor in comparison to that which we observed him giving to people who didn’t look like us.
Visited Milford connecticut after 10 years for our 10th wedding Anniversary . Thats the place where me n my wife met and back then Coromandel was a regular eat out Indian restaurant for us n friends and We used to love food there. So we decided to to visit this place for Dinner again. The moment we entered , it triggered the memory lane and nothing has changed.. The ambience is pretty neat and well maintained..the food was amazing.. and the taste hasn’t changed changed at all. We tried our favorite Lasuni Gobi , Malai kofta and it was just perfect. The food quality , presentation and quantity standards are still maintained, which is really rare to find these days. The Manager Mathew and his staff where nice, polite, welcoming, very professional. The service standards are still maintained too. We were so happy to stop and it did feel nostalgic.Thank you! Definitely recommend this place to enjoy good Indian food !
This is the best Indian food I have ever had. It is not too salty, not too sweet and the spices are amazing. It has tons of vegan options and the staff are really knowledgeable about different dietary restrictions. There is even a great vegan dessert! They are also very good about level of hotness/spiciness so I think our kids would do well here too. We are definitely coming back.
Me and my family have went to Coromandel recently In Orange, CT. It was my first time going to the restaurant, and his location had greatly exceeded my expectations. The waiters were fast and very friendly, And the food was fantastic. They offered a vast selections of many foods, alcohol, and sauces, which when paired with the food were fantastic. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back soon!
This place truly does authentic Indian cuisine. The flavor and spices were blended very well. The meals tasted fresh and our party ate every last bite. The portions were big, so an entree can definitely be split between two or even three people. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite. All in all the experience, ambiance, and food were 5 stars! Definitely recommend anyone looking to try Indian food, give this place a shot! Buen Provecho!
Follow for more: @MaybeFrgual/Insta⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The highlight was virgin #Lychee #Mojito with edible straw 😘 and the service.Bill: $103.99Card Used: Amex Blue Cash Back Preferred ( halfway through the drive, I realized I did not take my wallet; luckily, this backup card was in my jacket pocket)Today, our random adventure took us to Coromandel Cuisine of India, Orange, CT. I have been craving crunchy #dosa for the longest and wanted to take a long drive as well, so we ended up here.Usually, desi restaurants have slow or subpar service. However, that was not the case here. The manager and the waiters were some of the nicest folks.Appetizers: Masala Dosa, PuriMain course: Hyderabadi Biryani and Shrimp Tandoori.Masala Dosa was tasty, and I enjoyed the coconut chutney that came with it.Biryani came with raita, and Shrimp Tandoori came with peanut sauce. I was not a big fan of the peanut sauce. Watch out for the generous amount of black pepper they put in the Biryani. I ended up enjoying my wifes Shrimp Tandoori than my Biryani.Overall, you will enjoy it if this is the first time you are trying out South Indian food.
My wife loves Indian food, and we stumbled upon this place and we were so glad we went in. The food was exceptional well prepared very authentic ! The drinks were out of this world I am not a martini guy and I had 3 ginger martinis! Our server Santana was very friendly made great suggestions and was personable which is rare in the food industry …. The last thing I want to point out is you usually do not see people of the same country/culture eating in restaurant the boasts of authenticity. I was pleased to see so many people from the same culture dining and enjoying the food which to me is just confirmation this place is 5 stars! We will 100% be back all our entrees we’re really good! I do not have one negative thing to say…. Which is rare for me lol!
We went for dine-in yesterday and we came back home hungry. After going to dine-in after a long time because of pandemic we wanted to have some nice tasty meals but it was not a positive experience at all. Something like simple aloo paratha was not paratha but a thick naan and not at all good to eat. Ragda Patties chat that we ordered was a mass of boiled potatoes with the choley served on top as opposed to the crispy grilled patties mentioned in the menu. On the top, service was worst and manager doesnt care of your feedback. We were thinking of coming at Coromandel for long time, but i am glad that we didnt make it. Wouldnt recommend the place at all. Totally disappointing.
We unfortunately did not have a great experience here. We had to wait almost an hour for anything to arrive even though we’d asked for an update on our food (or at least our cocktailsmultiple times. After an hour, our server told us that our ticket got lost and that he had to put in our order again. Our order came out a bit weird too (we got two out of four drinks and had to re-order the other two again, our breads and main dishes arrived together but we had to wait a while for our chutney and raita to arrive). Our servers were really nice and kind, but there was some kind of organizational issue.Luckily the food was tasty; we all enjoyed our meals!
So I had gone to the Darien location in 2014 when I first went vegan and I am not exaggerating when I say I have not stopped thinking about their food since. This location was on my way home from MA to NY so I had to stop in. I am Indian and eat Indian food often. I’d say this is the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had (don’t tell my mom🤣). I eat oil free and they were so accommodating (this also applies 7 years ago at the Darien location).I ordered: Kaikari Kuruma, Chole masala, brown rice (the white rice is not vegan), and aloo roti - all vegan & oil free. It was amazing. The kaikari kuruma especially. My friend (also Indianordered chicken biriyani and she loved her dish as well!! She kept thanking me for sharing the experience with her lol
My family and I have loved coming to Coromandel for years. Service is fantastic, and the staff are very professional (especially Mr. Matthew J., the manager). Today, I took a friend there for the first time, and he enjoyed the food, too. We shared a Sham Savera (spinach and cottage cheese with tomato sauce), and we each had naans and curry -- I had the Peshawari naan & malai kofta, and he had a standard naan & bindi do pyaza. He took some of it home, and his mother also enjoyed it. Truly, if you like Indian food, you have to go there. There are plenty of options that are vegetarian (which, as a vegetarian, I find to be of stupendous quality), vegan, and also with meat (although I cant vouch for their quality). This is truly the best Indian restaurant around the Orange/Milford area, and quite possibly throughout lower CT.
