Corner Cafe - Restaurant in Marrakech, Morocco
Food was cooked well but lacked spice.
Amazing food and even better service! This cafe is located in the busy souk but it feels like a small peaceful island in the chaos! The service was amazing with the gentlemen being very friendly and enthusiastic about their cafe! The food was delicious! We had the falafel and the mixed kebab wrap. Would highly recommend both. The mint tea was delicious as was the corner juice (note the delicious large portions of fruit!A great experience in Marrakesh.
Nice restaurant and quality food. We ordered Kafta Kebap and Mixed Kebap both were really good. I recommend it.
We just came back again to this really nice place not too far from thé square.Last Time was two days ago and here we go again from some delicious fois. The service as thé food was so nice. Our waiter had Always a large smile to welcome us or other guests. Its my little New gym where i Can Always eat good. Thanks to Yassin.See you soon.Travel blog.
Great staff & cozy interiorWe ate a vege burger here and it was really good! With lots of vegetables. Ask for a local variation of virgin mojito ;Will come back for sure!
Excellent food and service! We went for chicken and mixed kebabs and they both were amazing. Fries and salads that came with dishes were fresh and lovely. Looks like we found our place where will be eating when around the area. Definitely recommend this place!
We had to wait 50’ and they didn’t apologize at all, neither compensated us with any appetizer or something. Another table arrived and ordered later and they were served much sooner than us. The food was good and prize was okey, but it wasn’t worth the waiting, there are many good restaurants around.
The food here is very delicious and comes with large quantity. Yazzsse is nice also.
Came here twice in two days for dinner! That’s how good it was. We had Beef Tajine, Chicken Pastilla & a Mix Kebab for our first night, then the Chicken Tajine, Chicken Pastilla and then Kefta Kebab second night. Our favorite Beef Tajine we had & my partner loved the Pastilla. Great prices, lovely atmosphere and brilliant server/staff. The one guy we had serving us both nights was so lovely. It’s also a street or two away from the main souks so it’s nice for a little break away from all of the craziness. We’d come back here again (and nearly did for a third time in a rowif we were ever in Marrakech again! Thank you Corner Café!
Little bit expensive for Morocco but very nice. I orderded the chicken tagine and it came with enough bread.
Best restaurant we went in Marrakesh! Almost the same price as the market but the presentation, the quality of food and the portions are outstanding. We went back to have our farewell lunch here and we didnt regret. I highly recommend this place.
This little restaurant is a joy to visit and to have dinner. The ladies in the small kitchen managed to make a great Chicken Pastilla which I can strongly recommend! The sweet and savory flavours are really surprising! And don’t forget to add the fresh mint which comes with it to every bite you eat. It just isn’t the same without it! The other dishes also are prepared with care by the great kitchen staff. Since the owner loves experimenting with new dishes and flavours you can expect Moroccan food here ‘with a twist’.My strong advice is to stay away from the (tourist traprestaurants around the main square and look for restaurants like ‘The Corner Café’ (at only 5min walk from the squarewhere they really put effort into the dishes they serve.
Veggie Hamburger is big and delicious. Especially the pan was very good. The waiters are also very friendly.
Very nice little restaurant just off the market. The food is very good. The mixt meat kebab is very large and delicious. You can easily share it between two people. Service was also very fast and they do speak English which makes ordering even easier.
Of you are after something different than couscous or tajine (despite being delicious, after a few days its enough), this is the place to be. Great burgers (meat and veggie style), european music, very friendly staff. Everything in a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed my food&stay!
Not much space, but its really good! Maybe its not the cheapest but also not the most expensive one. Food was good! Staff was really friendly and fast. Please itself was cool and clean. We really liked it and enjoyed the meal, also atmosphere was great.I would recommend to sit inside instead of sitting outside, because the street is small and it can be crowded. And also when you sit inside, no one comes and asks you for a money.
Very cozy and nice cafe at a corner of the busy souk. Not big but good place for hanging out with friends. The fruit salad was good. Would be good for taking a break from shopping or to grab a bite.
Nice place! Priced quite well, whilst in a busy part of the Medina. Lovely people serving tea thats a little bit on the touristy side of strong. Would recommend for a quick stop and a bite, look further if you want strong and proper Moroccan tea.
Fresh tasting food, but took a while to come and service was a bit slower than you would expect for such a small place (only one person serving at midday on a Sunday)We ordered spring rolls, a coke and water... The spring rolls took around 35mins and the water never arrived! We also liked aubergine dip and bread which was given free once we placed our order. We havent eaten in many places in the old town, but would recommend this place based on quality of food.Visited in Feb 2019.
Wonderful service and a delicious dinner! You may pay a little more compared to some other restaurants in the area but the quality of the food is worth it. I highly recommend for a relaxing tasty meal!
A really great vegetarian meal. The staff were very accommodating of our requests and couldnt have been nicer. A much better experience than some of the better known establishments.
Lovely food with delicious vegetarian options. Well presented and served with a big smile. Tiny place with just a few tables but possibility to seat outside in the street (busy). Recommended.
Brilliant food at a good price, decent portion sizes. The service was a little slow as the place was booming but there was ome guy doing all the serving and he was absolutely swept off his feet doing his absolute best to sort everyone out. The chairs are a little small ans the music could do with being just a little quieter but would definitely go back. Would recommend more for a lunch spot than tea but you could definitely do both, its just the menu offers no starters
Terrible service, mediocre food. We waited for 45 minute to get our food and server did not seem cared about our concern of food being too late. Food itself was below ok. Nothing special. You can get that type of food in any mediocre cafe at New York City, meaning nothing special to amazing cuisine of Morocco. And Mojito they served had more sugar than lemon and mint. Basically it was sugar syrup.
Bad experience in Medina of Maracesh. The staff was friendly, however food was really bad - chicken tagine was the chicken only and not cooked well. At least near by cat was happy :)
The portion size was large and great value for money. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. The music was a little loud and strange, but the air conditioning was on and it was very cool. We ordered falafal wrap with fries, chicken wrap with fries and spring rolls. We thought the spring rolls was a side but was actually its own main course. All of the food was good, just too much salad. I would recommend
This place is just amazing. Very warm and welcoming staff. The food is made with love and such is the taste of it. I really recommend this small Cafe. Dont be angry if you have to wait a little bit, its really worth it. 😁
We basically left this place about 5 minutes ago, and the warm welcome we’ve received was overwhelming. The food was great, refreshing, well presented, and well priced. The restaurant is also pretty cosy! We had a bit of wait before a table was free, but it was worth every minute of waiting.I would return there any time!
This restaurant positively surprised us. Although from outside it doesn’t look much fancy it’s actually really cool. They’ve tasty food and awesome staff. I can recommend vegetarian spring rolls, falafel and also mixed fruit juice. I also have to warn you, the portions are huge! :)
Very good food (vegetarian option). We had falafel, spring rolls and Mojito.
Lovely little cafe, only seats around 20 or so people over two floors so can get queues out the door as its so popular. The menu didnt look like much but dont let that fool you, the food was presented beautifully. It took a while to arrive but you can tell it was all cooked fresh and it did not dissappoint. Good portion sizes and value for money among the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Mains are around 55-75dh and delish mocktails at 35dh
I can highly recommend the Corner Café. The food is very delicious, the prices are reasonable and the owner is very kind and caring! We tried the Mixed Kebab and Falafel. Those were great and the Bora Bora Smoothie exquisite!
Amazing food and huge portions! The falafel and mixed kebab was delicious and so were the drinks. The owner is such a genuinely nice man and you can tell that the food is prepared with lots of love. Its a very popular cafe so there might be some waiting time, but its definitely worth it! Will definitely go back there when in Marrakech.
Tiny little place with great food, nice coffee and huge portions. They don’t take reservations, so you might have to wait some time.
Definitely the best place to eatWe enjoyed a warm welcome, the food was perfectly cooked and we had a lot of food. And the all this with a jazzy atmosphere. And finally the prices are really attractiveThanks again !!!!
Fantastic restaurant in the heart of the medina of Marrakech. We had a great lunch here. There was a short wait (gets very busy during peak hoursbut the food and service was absolutely worth it. The owner was very friendly. Food was top! I would highly recommend.
Excellent. Portions are very large and tasty for a low price. We paid around 200 MAD for 2, including drinks.Definitely one of the best restaurants we went to during our visit in Marrakech.I really recommend the kebabs.
Amazing food, best Falafel plate Ive ever had and really nice and funny service. I paid 70Mad (7€for this plate. Bread with dip for free.I will definetely bring friends from Europe here and eat again!
We can just let the pictures of the food and drink speak for themselves. Prices a bit higher than what was posted online.
Fantastic food and friendly owner for good value. Try the falafel!
Amazing food!!!! Worth the visit. We went to have lunch and we ordered a Falafel and a Kefta kebab. At once you might think that prices are a bit high. 70 DHM for falafel sounded kinda pricy, BUT, it was a huge portion and it came with fries. It was more than enough! after the meal, I thought that 70 DHM for all that food was too little..The flavours and the seasoning of both the Kefta and Falafel where incredible.BEST FOOD in Marrakech.even the baba ganoush we had as a small starter (provided by the cafewas amazing. We saw this place had a nr 4 place on TA and after having eaten there whe understood why.Awesome food, really really good prices and great service and atmosphere.A pleasent surprise!Highly highly recommended
We went for dinner here and had the chicken Bastilla (outstanding a meatball tanjine (goodand a falafel (nothing special). A neat international-themed concept with medium-priced fusion food
The food is delicious and good quality. Service is excellent and the restaurant is very cozy. The chicken Pastille is a must. Highly recommend this place when in Marrakech.
I am glad to recommend this gem of a Café in the Medina of Marrakesh. The Owner, the food and beautifully decorated drinks are excellent and definitely worth a visit.
Lovely food and a very friendly house
Great little oasis for tourists. The owner/Manager gentleman is genuinely nice even when hes slammed with customers. The food is also hearty and excellent. I loved their soup!
Ive been in Morocco for 3 weeks now and the Corner Cafe delivered the best meal of the trip so far. The falafel wrap was incredible, the chicken pastilla was a beautiful balance of sweet and savory and the corner juice was amazing. To top it all off, the service was quick, and super friendly and 2 meals and 2 drinks will comfortably come to less than 200MAD.What more could you ask for?
The food was good, its a small cafe so does fill up quite quickly. The only reason it lost a star is that the service was quite slow. When we go there it was fairly empty, and getting anyones attention as to if open was impossible. Even though they saw us standing there.
We didnt want to deal with the hassles and the tourist prices in main square, wanted something informal and quick, and Corner Cafe was perfect for that. I was really thirsty, so I started with a virgin mojito and a mixed fruit juice, both were good. We had the chicken kebab and vegetarian couscous. Both dishes really hit the spot for us. Chicken kebab was flavorful, paired with hot & crispy fries. The vegetarian couscous was well seasoned, fluffy, and delicious. With full stomachs, we still managed to finish with a vanilla ice cream and a chocolate banana split. Both were fantastic. I think the overall price was about half of what the main square would have charged, but the food was better than what we have tried in the main square. As for the atmosphere, this place is small and cozy. The staffs and the owner were all super friendly, and speak English fluently. They are somewhat limited in serving speed, so if you come here at a busy time, please be prepared to wait. We didnt mind the wait, it was actually fun for us-- we sat by the street to people watch, and they offer free WiFi. As a unique perk-- they are located right across from the entrance of a mosque, so if you time it correctly, you can people watch the crowds entering the mosque. I would highly recommend this place if you are in Marrakech.
Great option in Marrakesh. Friendly atmosphere, incredible food, nice music and convenient location. Vegetarian options. Its good to have some other options apart from tajin and couscous after some days in Morocco. Cash only. Go upstairs to be warm if you visit in winters.
