Cormier Haiti Beach Resort - in Cap-Haitien, Haiti
Ideal location, friendly staff. Place need updated and some Renovation.
Its one of the most beautiful beach out there for sure. The beach view is mesmerizing. The staff is made of amazing people, the rates for food are a bit high tho but we can partly attribute that to how the inflations been crazy lately.
Beautiful white sand beaches and strong rum sours
The beach is gorgeous, the bar staff makes good drinks
One of the best place to stay in Northern Haiti. Located at Cormier, the place has a free parking, restaurant.
If you are looking for a beach resort its not bad. One of a few places that take credit card in North West Haiti. There is even reasonable rates for massages and outings
Amazing place for beach in Cap Haitian. Come enjoy yourself with friends and family. Come enjoy the view. Cormier is very great.
$5 to use the beach technically but I just walked through and went right to the beach avoiding the hotel completely. There are other public ways to access the beach as well.
Great vibe💆🏽 awesome view and beach in front of you🙌🏾🙌🏾 we find everything we need there😍😍 food 💯
My stay here at Cormier was a great experience! The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accomodating. The food was amazing, fresh and full of flavor. The bar had great drinks right on the beach! The grounds were very clean and kept well every day.Airport shuttle service was provided at a small cost and was always on time which was very helpful and reliable. The room which I stayed in was spacious and had a great view of the beach with a nice balcony. The air conditioning worked great at night. Huge plus is that the room had a small refrigerator. The only downside was the shower didnt have solid water pressure. If you are looking for a great beach resort, I highly suggest Cormier as your destination. Hopefully youll enjoy as much as I did!Special thanks to J.B. and Samenta!
Oh wow – what can we say?We were thrilled with our 4 night stay at Cormier in Room #24 from 3rd February to the 7th February… we didn’t want to leave! We came as a boisterous bunch of 8, and we definitely made a mark on all that we met, that’s what happens when you have go anywhere with four outgoing children. It was our own private getaway, as for half of our stay we had the resort all to ourselves. There was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff, from the birthday decorations we asked to have put in place on our arrival, to gifting us an extra room just because and all the other little and big impacts made. The staff were incredible, warm and welcoming, they definitely made their impression on us all, but especially on our 5 year old, Marlie, who questioned me as we were driving home how she would be able to communicate with her Dickson and Junior now and why I hadn’t got their numbers? (If we could get their numbers, I would have one very happy girl here as EVERY day since she has been asking me about them). We can’t wait til our next mini vacation… we can’t wait to go back again…
Do not miss this spot if yo go to Cap Haitien. Beach is good but a lot of rocks.... Food is good but can be pricey. But you can spend some good time with family 👍👍
Loved, loved, loved coming to the beach here! I did not stay at the resort itself, but the beach is public with a $5 USD per person fee and you have access to their bar and restaurant. Service was quick and their menu was expansive. The beach was beautiful and clean and the chairs were comfortable!
Let me begin my saying - Staff provides excellent service, hands down. My critique is for owner: he knew our group was coming; no treatment for mosquitos - my legs & arms look like I contracted measles. He cuts off WiFi service at 8am along with shower, toilets don’t work, water was metallic and had a sulphuric smell that turned my stomach - are they cooking with this water?? I noticed his family didn’t suffer. Haiti is beautiful & home of revolution. Go somewhere else and make sure it’s Black Haitian owned.
Amazing everything.Hospitality, food, full bar, great prices! The beach was clean and wonderful. Hammocks to nap in. Crabs walking around... Everything you could want
Food and drinks were good, friendly service and quiet secluded beach. Did not stay overnight, just did the $5 beach access.
We just had lunch here, the food was good (of course limited options for vegetarians but thats Haitithe location was incredible, right on the beach, gorgeous views and comfortable under the open air roof. Good service even if the food takes forever to come out.
Its a simple place for simple people, free WiFi, Haitian musique, cocktail bar, hammock ( even if your not in the hoteland a hotel, but if your capricious dont come. Its for people who want to relax
The beach accessibility was great! The food was really good as well. However, the rooms were extremely dated and unexceptable!! The bathroom window did not have a lever to open and close. The bathroom sink was separating from the wall. The door to the room was so loose you could actually kick it slightly and gain access in seconds. I’m huge on safety especially being a female traveling without my husband. I was traveling with a group of 15 women and at least half of the group was totally disappointed with their rooms. The entire room needed a lot of attention and serious updating. I would never return to the property under no circumstances and would certainly discourage others to book this resort!! To JB, owner do the work and bring your property up to standards and stop making excuses!!
Gorgeous beach front resort. We had lunch and coffee. The grounds are impeccably manicured. 😊😎🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
It has been since I have been to Cormier... It is still the beautiful Cormier plage! Very cozy. The restaurant is very nice. Friendly staff! The food was delicious. Check out the pictures. One thing I noticed the changing room and washroom by the beach need some work. Beside that it is a very nice place to go to for a great time with family, friends or colleagues!
We didnt stay here but did use their very reasonable day pass to use the beach (clean and clear waterand have a really nice seafood pasta lunch. We met several people who were guests and they raved about the accommodations.
Awesome hotel! They can arrange pick up for you if you email them. When youre there they have a driver who can take you anywhere, just tip him. They lose a star because they tried charging me $150 USD for a trip to Citadelle Laferrière for 2 people. Thats outrageous. We got there on our own for much less. Not even close to 40 total. Also they lose a star because the food always took so long. We would sit there for 45 minutes to an hour for spaghetti. To avoid this you can order ahead of time and tell them what time to have it ready. Thats what we did towards the end. They also turn off the electricity in your room from 0900 to 1700 every day! You can ask them to turn it back on but it didnt bother us as long as the wifi stayed on. Wifi was great BTW.Staff is amazing and so friendly. They are the nicest and cutest Haitians. Love them.Mosquitoes are everywhere so prepare for that. Bring big spray and hydrocortisone cream for bug bites. No one asking you to buy bracelets and knickknacks on the beach because its a private resort.Free breakfast!
Breathtaking, beautiful natural area, beach is beautiful, food are great, but it a long wait to get our food, I believe that can be fixed easily if all who experienced it address the issue. The only reason I didnt visit more than one day, is because the road got blocked off during the July 6,7 and 8 uprising on our way home from the first visit and my kids were afraid to go again, besides I just love the place.
Very rustic and back to basic. At one with nature if it is your thing. The beach is rocky but the food is delicious.
Very beautiful beach, the menu is very diverse and the food is very good too, only problem we wait for 2 hours for our food
Amazing beach, food, cocktails. We didnt book and the resort was full because of a TV show hosted there that night. But we were able to get rooms that still needed to be renovated for a big discount so that was really nice!
If youre staying in northern Haiti, this is definitely a place to consider! The included breakfast and dinner is very convenient and tastes pretty good (depending on the dish, of course). The grounds are beautiful and the water is very clear! The rooms arent the best based on an American standard. Theyre fairly spacious, but some of the windows crank shut and dont seel well, so keep an eye on that when you first turn on the AC. Like most hotels in the area, the power cuts out periodically, but that can be expected. Be sure to bring bug spray! Likewise, there are sea urchants in the water. They do periodic sweeps, but sometimes they miss some, so keep an eye out for that. So long as you go expecting a hotel that provides a lot rather than an all Inclusive resort, you will be fine! This place is much, much better than any of the places we stayed in Cap Haitien! Stay a little out of the way and just request a driver to take you where you want to go.
Visited May 10-13th it was amazing me in my cousin both American hotel totally safe security always around helping out bar tender is great food is great beach and the rooms look much better in person 🙌🏾🤗 everyone super nice but they don’t provide bath wash cloth so bring your own every time I visit I will stay at this hotel I’ll just bring my own wash cloth and towel other than that everything perfect plus the hotel will take you anywhere you like to go and wait for you no matter how long 🤗 I love it
I love the decor in this place, the food is always good and they have the rhum sours in Haiti!
I just left the Cormier beach hotel in Okap Haiti. I am glad I didnt listen to the reviews. My room was large with a king size bed and two twins could sleep four, but we enjoyed it my roommate and I .The room was clean, the food delicious. the only thing I wish they had more of an Haitian selection for breakfast. The beach great and the service superb. If you go, make sure you walk the grounds beautiful!
Nice clean beach 🏖. Wonder to see this place very close to dirty cap Haitian city and sea.Foods, Drinks and Relax.
The lumpy bed made me sore for a week. Springs coming through to the topping. Bathrooms need a lot of work; wet floor daily, sink lopsided causing puddling of water in one corner. Bar and Restaurant good. Food became boring and unvaried. Employees friendly and helpful.
Of course the beach is spectacular as most are on this island. But hotel need some major renovation specially charging all that money per night.. but overall its quite , beautiful landscaping .. the road vue to get to it is priceless ..for relaxing stay its a good place
Gorgeous beach, adequate kitchen, rooms in bad need of improvement. Breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate, making this a hard bargain to beat.
Amazing service! the food is great. Breakfast and Dinner included. It was paradise! Im happy I spent my vacation there!
It was amazing. The service is good, the view is 👌, the food is ok. It deserve the price they ask for. Sleeping there was a great experience. It was a good trip. Highly recommended!
Ive stayed at Cormier Plage Hotel for the first time a couple of months ago. It was an awesome experience. The food, the cleanliness, everything was amazing. But my second time was even better. The staff (Gregory, Vania, Junior, Guillaume Hude, the cleaning crew...was once again awesome. True pros that made my stay unforgettable.
Clean beach, friendly personnell, good prise for food and drinks. Beautiful territory. Possible to rent kayak or diving equipment.
30 minutes from the middle of Cap Haitian. A quiet beach with sun and shade. Great restaurant. Massage therapist. Never overcrowded.
Beach is nice. The famous punch was good. I did not stay in the hotel, but rather came for a day on the beach. Staff was nice, but seemed annoyed that I wanted to pay with my credit card. They have a cool turtle pond, and a bird sanctuary which was neat to see. I would go back.
Its a peaceful place, you got, the sea, the bar, the restaurant and the hotel. Their seafood taste really good. And u got to try on their "cormier punch" dont go over 3 😉
Great beach, great food, great service, could use some softer beds in the rooms but I will be back.
Rooms were nice and big. The beds werent extremely comfortable but they were okay. The beach was beautiful and the food was very good!
The value for the money spent just does not exist. This is a no frills hotel that is located directly on the beach, and nothing here resembles anything like a resort. The rooms are okay, comparable to a substandard Motel 6 type hotel in the USA, except with harder and less comfortable beds.Be away that when you order food from the restaurant, especially for dinner, youre in for await. I ordered a simole hamburger, and it took well over an hour to receive it. There was never any communication or follow up with the server who took the order, and I ended up having to go back in the kitchen myself to find my food and expedite the order. They advertise WiFi, but its basically non-existent. Image sending a text message on WhatsApp or Hangouts and waiting 5+ minutes for the message to be sent? It would be better if they did not even advertise WiFi, then you would not have those expectations. The owner is a bitter I think I know it all French man, with an attitude to match. He had an argument with me regarding WiFi, and was insistent that it was working when it was not. When I challenged him to check the internet using his phone or the receptionist computer his response was extremely condescending and rude. Turns out there was no Internet available, and he proceeded to go back in his office and hide, trying to save face and avoid contact with me. Leaving his employees in an awkward situation where they needed to agree with me, that the owner has an ego the size of Mars, and treats customers the same way he treats his employees. The next night I changed hotels to one that was 400% cheaper, had better service, better WiFi, and better food. I would avoid this place at all costs.
Cormier is without a doubt the place in Cap-Haïtien with the best service in the most beautiful settings. The owners and the staff is genuinely nice, with a very welcoming and positive attitude and extremely service-minded. Very good food. Will definitely be back!
I spent the whole week of Thanksgiving in Haiti 2015. It was my first time in Haiti and I felt right at home. The staff was very professional and warm. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. They are probably one of the only hotels that include breakfast and dinner in their package.Transportation was also included in the package. The view was breath taking. I give Cormier Plage Resort a 5 star.
People are nice.Food is OK but not really native.Internet sucks. Not reliable at all. Could not get any work done while here.Rooms needs paint and smells funny.Shower doesnt work well. Water all over the bathroom floor every time. For the price youd be better off spending your money elsewhere. Try Mexico or any city in the US.
My wife and I were very fortunate to have arranged a tour to the Citadel through Cormier on our recent cruise. All of the people we worked with through the resort were amazing and every detail was professionally managed. The tour arranged for us by Thoris, Hude, and our guide Dely provided us with a real highlight to our trip!We were also treated to an amazing lunch afterwards at the resort. The resorts setting is beautiful and serene and the food was absolutely delicious.
Really nice and spacious rooms. Beach is great and 10 feet away. Food is delicious and included , however it is not a buffet.
