Corbin Local Wildlife - Nature reserve in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
Very informative.
Excellent Morning, Roy was very interesting and engaging, it was great what hear what he is aiming to achieve. Also great taxi ride up with Rubin and Shirley
Great job protecting and educating the public on the local wildlife. The animals are well kept. The environment is just amazing, wildlife all around. This is perfect location for bird π¦ watching. Best call and make an appointment before going. But they do accept walk-ins.
A must see while in Tobago! Fascinating tour, so much information about local wildlife and the rescue efforts. And a beautiful area to walk.
Friendly staff and such a site to see all the local wildlife in one location.
Very informative learn so much, I recommend to take a visit
Very nice place, they explain a lot of things about the animals of Tobago!
Amazing job that these guys are doing I give my full support
A really excellent day out, great for adults and kids alike. Anyone who thought Tobago was just about the birds will be surprised by the variety of wildlife brought to Corbins. The man himself is extraordinary in his dedication to the animals and visitors to this centre: he took my wife, son and I on a personal guided tour and told us the history of animals he was helping to recover and reintroduce. A must when in Tobago.
Brilliant day, thank you Michael for giving us all such a memorable day. Highlights of the day were the boa constrictors, the ocelot, the camens and the quenks.
Brilliant. Our guide was so friendly and engaging. Seriously interesting and educational and a lot of animals I had never seen before. One hundred percent would recommend.
great stuff.this man really knows his wild life
Awesome experience, we loved it and the kids had fun.. Will visit again soon βΊ
Really knowledgeable and informative guide. This is a worthy experience. Theyre trying to preserve our wildlife in a captive breeding project. It is small but the effort should not go unnoticed nor unrewarded. It is a very relaxing space. A true nature retreat!
I had a GREAT experience!!!!!!! It is worth another visit. Mr. Michael and Mr. Corbin are very knowledgeable. Keep it up, guys! You can learn a lot.π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―
This place is beyond what youd expect. A good of Tobagos wildlife presented by very engaging, knowledgable, interesting tour guides. Very good value for money.
An educational and fun visit. Excellent eco initiative.
Nice project to introduce people how important nature and wildlife is. This reserve is worth to be seen and worth to be supported. Keep it up!
The reserve is simply beautiful. A full immersion in the wildlife!
A very nice place, really recommend. I would say the best attraction in Tobago, but also initiative to preserve and revive disappearing species. The host Ian is very lovely and dedicated to the cause. Really enjoyed the experience
Amazing 2 hour tour with our very knowledgeable, passionate guide Ian, who told us all about the animals in their care, often rescued from terrible conditions while being kept as pets, and their goal to breed them and reintroduce extinct native species back into Tobagos forests and to educate, excite and inspire visiting school children who will hopefully then go home and tell their parents to stop eating bush meat which is why its become so necessary to do this. Best wildlife experience in Tobago and weve been visiting for 15 years. They deserve our support. Thank you very much and the very best of luck!
Good opportunity how to support local efforts in wildlife preservation. Corbins place does a great job in informing the public about Tobagos environmental issues. You can see lot of local animals from very close and learn all about their life.
Amazing place. A great representation of wildlife in Tobago, and a very noble cause by Corbin.
The owner Roy Corbin is extremely knowledgeable regarding all the wildlife which he looks after. He and his family are foster family for all types of wildlife and when they are fighting fit they release them back in to the wild, but like most animals when they are shown kindness they on occasion return to say hello.
Corbin is quite amazing
Mr Corbin is an excellent host. He is a living encyclopedia on local animals. He loves what he does and he is a natural at teaching students.
If you are on vacation Tobago Drive by and leave Dome Money for animals
Very nice, worth to visit, Ian is such a good guide, real enthusiast and nature lover.
This guy has a passion for what he does, and it makes the world of a difference. Keep it up sir
Give this place your support. Roy and Ian are genuinely protecting the local habitat with little support from the government. Its off Belmont Rd in Mason Hall- a little tricky to find but well worth the effort
Will surely visit again. Very informative. Friendly tour guide.
Everyone should experience this and be educated on how we can help the wildlife to thrive again!
The question is not whether you want to go to Corbin Local Wildlife, but when!!!Hopefully we get the chance to go back !!!
Awesome experience. Came here with my 3 year old son and he had a great time. Roy is very knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. Make sure to call ahead of time to see what the best time to visit is as the tours are very informative. Would highly recommend this to everyone.
One of the best experiences I had in Tobago.
Had so much fun exploring and learning about the local wildlife!
Absolutely loved it. My son and his friends thought it was the best day ever #epicadventure
Best experience ever, Mr. Corbin is a Gem thank you from the Mt. Grace Adventurers.
Nice park .. lots of info on the animals
Went to the location today, phoned the person I charge and he claimed heβd call me back and is a bit preoccupied. I parked there for hours and still havenβt received a phone call back. Just came home and still after all these hours not even the audacity to return the phone call. This is really poor and terrible customer service. Donβt waste your time going here if they canβt care enough to tend to you or be concerned about your time. Thumbs down ππ½
Wildlife Conservation at its best!!! The tour was very affordable..even the tourist that accompanied was very satisfied and learnt a lot about the animals bred in captivity which helps our ecosystem thrive greatly. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and and its evident how hard they work to maintain the reserve. Animals are happy and the lush greenery is one to due for when youre a nature lover. Steep hill to get down..BE SURE TO CALL THE GUIDE BEFORE PROCEEDING DOWN TO THE RESERVE.... WE MADE THAT MISTAKE AND STRUGGLED TO GET OUT..THANKFULLY THE GUIDE ASSISTED. THEY PROVIDE TRANSPORT SO DONT GO DOWN WITH YOUR VEHICLE UNLESS ITS A JEEP OR VAN.
An exceptional place to visit. Roy and Ian bring so much passion to this place.Highly recommended to go there!Do make an reservation, as they can not accommodate walk ins.
This was a surprisingly fabulous visit ,I recommend this place to every one
Visited here on a school trip and the place is really nice and although the animals are in enclosures, it is really big so they have a lot of room to move about. I also appreciate the concept of what Mr. Corbin is doing.
Nice place.....make sure u wear sneakers though...well informed guides too π
Very nice and experienced guide! We had a two hour trip through his park and enjoyed every minute. He gave us a lot to learn about plants and animals from the island, we were able to pet some and grab plants for the smell. He acts very naturally and was always up for a joke. Were happy to support his work and definitely recommend to visit him!
Nature Lovers Idyll...If you appreciate wildlife and conservation, Roy Corbins Wildlife Park is a must. Roy is passionate about protecting whats left of Tobagos native species and has a breeding program to re-introduce many of the species that have been hunted to the limits of their existence. He aims to change the way Tobagonians think about wildlife, starting with an educational program with the local schools. Please support this amazing and unfunded forward thinking project.
The experience is well worth it. A Two hour walk along forest pathways, interacting with the various fauna and flora along the way, narrated by Mr Ian in his lovely accent. Highly recommended to include in your Tobago tour.
It was an exciting and wonderful experience an opertunity to see and hear a varity of birds, local wildlife, flowers and butterflies and most of all hummingbirdsI loved it and would advise that you visit once in Tobago
My husband and I were in Tobago to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Because of my husbands love for nature and animals, I thought a visit to a local wildlife would be ideal. We called Mr.Corbin and his warm friendly voice led us to believe we would have a pleasant experience. We set up a tour the very next day, July. 27, 2016. The drive seemed to be out of the way to get to but it was only 20 minutes from Magdelena Grand where we stayed. We found the drive to be pleasant and worth the trip. We were greeted at the gate by goats which set the tone that we would see other animals soon enough. Mr. Corbin was as friendly in person as he was on the phone. He took his time showing us around and as the brochure states it is very much a unique chance to appreciate the weath of Tobagos biodiversity. We had the pleasure of seeing iguanas, tattoos, mani ours, silly painters, agoutis, squirrels, quenks and hummingbirds. Thankfully we did not see the caiman who was enjoying the pond and didnt want to be disturbed. We plan to tell everyone who visits Tobago to definitely go experience the wildlife and nature trail through the forest.
