Coral Sea Resort & Casino in Honiara

Best resort style accommodation in Airlie Beach. Similar style as the Reef View Hotel on Hamilton Island but with both hotel rooms and spacious apartments. Much more modern and cleaner than the Reef View, where bathrooms dont have proper fans or ventilation. The rooms and balcony were immaculate - this is usually a deal breaker for any future visits so I was very pleased. The Pool and QR ordering were amazing! The staff throughout the resort were lovely and helpful. And more importantly, management seem to have got the guest to staff ratio right. I did not feel the resort staff were scrambling, so that was a good sign. Not cheap to stay, but worth the money for our first proper holiday in a few years!

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. We stayed in a spa suite. The views are wonderful. The pool area is clean and again has an impeccable view. Staff are friendly and attentive. Blush spa is well worth a visit too. A much needed massage for us both, would highly recommend.

The service at the Coral Sea Resort was exceptional. Every single staff member we encountered went out of their way to be helpful, and did so with a smile. Outside of being the best location in Airlie, the food and facilities were excellent. I would highly recommend the Coral Sea Resort to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Tired rooms, poor service and a disappointing breakfast.I stayed in room 107 which was a rather tired affair. A large room but the space was wasted by having two double beds no chairs or a lounge to sit on and a bathroom with an old bath with the shower over the bath. A fridge with a single bottle of water and no mini bar. A nice balcony with a table and three chairs. I would have taken a sea view room but this was all that was available at the time.Breakfast was included but with a very limited buffet and no egg station with scrambled eggs the only egg option. There was a menu which was extra although I had to approach staff after waiting patiently for twenty minutes for table service.The pool area was nice and the hotel has good views across the bay. The pool itself was mediocre.At the price I expect a lot better and I would suggest you can do a lot better for less elsewhere.

Positive- awesome view from room and restaurant.Not so positive-For the price I expected concierge to swoop in on our taxi and help us with all our luggage. However at no stage were we offered any assistance. We were how ever fortunate enough to have the trolley free to cart our own stuff.Secondly at $450 per room and having to share one bed with my son I’m not sure if I found value for money. Would I stay at again 🤔 probably not. this was also based on the fact that my 9 year old son had 2 pieces of bacon and 2 croissants for breakfast and asked for takeaway cakes. The young lady said “of course” which put a big smile on his face and made his day…until we walked out and the manager looked us up and staring at our takeaway .. he tried to put on a smile and say have a nice day only to tell his staff whilst we were in ear shot not to allow takeaway and wanting to find out where we got the container. I feel sorry for the young lass (she’ll be getting a fat tip if we see her tomorrow morningShe made the right decision as I was actually very pleased that I didn’t pay for a buffet breakfast for my son that hardly eats a thing. I can understand they can’t afford for everyone to walk out like that but obviously the manager has no consideration or expertise in dealing with such matters. We did specifically tell him that Rylan ate near on nothing (because we could see his disappointment written all over his faceso perhaps that’s something he could have considered.

What an Oasis with great views this is our second visit and will be back...I wedding was on one night and was quite noisy but understandable...

Beautiful resort, gives everything you need for dream holiday, five star service, location and view. Only thing not perfect is the bathroom, it needs to be renovated.

Location great i.e. water views, right on water, close to marina & restaurants and town.Rooms clean & spacious.Pity about no gym.Second visit in 2 years and very disappointed to see that resort is open to general public on weekends making it a youthful loud party scene. Tacky! At $400+ per night paying guest we couldn’t find seats by pool and found pool bar service slow.Frequent weddings also taking place by the pool so guest are asked to leave that area (about 30% of foot printsqueezing resort guests into other areas. Not enough lounges for guests to relax and noisy. Whole ate becoming crowded & very noisy.

We loved this resort & we only got to spend the afternoon! Enjoyed our cocktails & oysters overlooking the harbour. Probably one of the best harbours in QLD. Its away from the hustle and bustle of Airlie...staff were excellent!

We didn’t stay here but we visited a couple of times and the staff were great, pool was lovely and they had a great view. Dinner was absolutely delicious and we would definitely recommend eating here!

Lunch poolside, saw a wedding, great entertainment from lovely young singer. Didnt even notice the rain. Did was delicious and such generous serves. Wine choices fabulous.

Oh Coral Sea, what happened?!?!? Weve stayed many times and actually had our wedding here two years ago. It was one of my favourite places in the world! But somethings gone very wrong. It took an hour and a half to send up our room service, and it was the wrong wine. Then as we drank the correct one another 15 mins later on our balcony, normally a serene experience, we were forced to listen to one of the worst (and loudestDJs Ive heard and watch the pool fill with drunk, rowdy early 20 year olds (Im only in my 30s before you start thinking Im a prude). It was genuinely uncomfortable and there was no way I was letting my 8 year old daughter down there for a swim. This once magical place is now trying to mimic a nasty pool bar Id fly to Bali for if thats what I wanted. Bit heartbreaking actually. Dont come here with the family for a relaxing, stunning vacation. However if you want to get hammered and throw up in the pool, you might really enjoy it.

Was unable to stay at the hotel due to full bookings however was fortunate enough to have dinner at the restaurant and highly recommend it. Great cuisine and friendly service.

Jack at the bar was FANTASTIC ! He have great service and you could tell he has had a decent experience in hospitality because he was great! The room was fantastic, however there was a few broken tiles around the spa. Would be nice to have them fixed due to the price we are paying. The chicken sliders were also AMAZING.. cheers to the chef for these ♥️ All round great experience, close to everything… but also enough distance to have your own privacy. Can’t fault the location !

Visited the restaurant for my birthday dinner with visiting family and was blown away by every aspect. The sunset views from our table were spectacular and the staff were flawless throughout.Our food was sensational from start to finish. We had the chef special entree and pumpkin raviolo - both were excellent. Our mains of eye fillet, lamb backstrap and snapper were all delicious. Desert was the perfect finish.We will be returning soon to try more of the wonderful menu. Thank you to the entire team who made our visit so memorable.

Didnt stay here but 5 of us spent the day around the pool as we had appointments in the day spa "Blush". We ate, drank cocktails and got pampered. It was amazing!

Thought I would treat myself to some comfort after working away ahead of a 14 hour drive back to Brisbane. Has a cockroach crawl over me during the night whilst in bed, accidentally squashed it on the bed, took about an hour to get the sheets changed over - security wanted me to change the linen. Left a message on checkout for the manager to contact me - still waiting. Drove home very tired and about $400 out of pocket. Whole place needs a good renovation

Beautiful pool, outdoor area, drinks and amazing sunset view , staff all very polite and cheerful .

Food was really nice, drinks were great, location was good but customer service was lacking, they are very busy and waitresses have clearly have no more patiences.

Spent the afternoon at the beach club after a tour with Redcat. Lunch was fresh and a wide assortment available. Entry to the day club is $25.

We didn’t stay at the resort but spent the day by the pool. Staff were all so lovely, service was amazing and plenty of yummy cocktails to choose from! 10/10 recommend!

Disappointed in the actions from this establishment. They have national flags from around the world, but cannot represent the traditional owners of the land. When asking the groundskeeper where the Aboriginal flag is, he laughed and said that “it’s slim pickings up here”. As if they didn’t have 30 other flags. Will definitely not recommend this place as it clearly does not acknowledge and embrace rightful custodians of this country.

This is the perfect place to escape!! The location is absolutely perfect with ocean views all around, a cute jetty to relax and watch the fish, as well as an excellent restaurant to enjoy by the pool side. We loved our spa room and watching the sunrise from our balcony. Highly recommend!!

Best Kingfish Cerviche in Airlie Beach, plus wonderful Oysters. Great Staff, Excellent facilities. Very Happy.

Very impressed with this place. Everywhere was clean and well maintained, staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and the buffet breakfast was delish

Only visited pool area and had lunch but nice pool with sunbeds great view and Coral Sea has a nice spar . If you just want to enter around pool use facilities, be aware hey charge you I think it was $25 per to get in and spend money there . But looks nice if came to irley again may stay here . Probably only 5-8 mins walk from shops bars etc.

4.5 star 🌟 this is one of the most amazing resorts we have stayed in on Australia!! Really felt like we were far away on a magical holiday.Everything about this resort is just perfect. The view, the private jetty with so many fish you could see below, the pool, the bar, the bedrooms, its proximity to town. The only reason i couldnt give a 5 star was only due to being slightly disappointed with the buffet breakfast it just lacked and needed things like pancakes or waffles and some better desserts, also each morning they had ran out of raisin toast and or other bakery items and they certainly need to to get some staff to work the pool area, would have loved if they had come around to take meal and drink orders as i would have brought so much more, even just a self order option. If you stay here you will not be disappointed, do your self a favour and order a cocktail. Cant wait to go back.

Absolutely awesome group great team of people catered anything that you need with a smile which is always good would highly recommended for families and young couples overlooking the beautiful Harbour and looking towards the mountains of the East and to the West

Giving the check-in staff 5 stars!Booking.com messed up and overbooked this hotel, meaning we arrived with no room available. The reception manager Micheal and his associate Andrew were awesome, went above and beyond and worked out an amazing alternative solution, for which we are very grateful.Im really enjoying the hotel and the penthouse room is awesome with a wrap around balcony, sea views and a hot tub.The Rocks bar and pool area is an Instagrammers dream, so glad we chose this hotel.

Wonderful resort, absolute beachfront location. The restaurant is excellent too. Highly recommended for the quality of the food and service by the staff.

Great location, wonderful view from our balcony. The spa on the deck is quite small, only suitable for 1 person. Too many day visitors on the weekend and very busy due to wedding bookings. This impacts on the availability of space around the pool. Very difficult to find a deck chair. Great cocktails, limited food menu. Breakfast was included but very basic.

We stayed in an ocean view room which gave us gorgeous views. The room was clean and convenient, and the service was good. Highly recommended.

Recommend this resort for those who enjoy their holiday staying indoors in the resort premises. The rooms have balcony with breathtaking views and they have a 25mtr pool with a deck looking into the sea. They dont have a beach front where you can swim. Nearest swim spot is about 500mtrs away. Buffet breakfast was average- english bfast with fruits. The service is just average, nothing to call out. Rooms have basic facilities. It has fridge but no microwave. They have a safe, kettle, iron box and blow dryer. They provide basic toileteries - soap, shampoo.  They dont provide dental care kit, shaving kit etc. they dont have a weighing scale if you need to weigh luggage.Personally for us this place was not worth it. We were outdoor all the time doing activities and went to the room just to crash. We chose this resort as its centrally located but realised after getting there that all tours you sign up with would have a pick-up and drop to nearest place of stay. Airlie is a small place so it would be max 5-10mins walk from drop point. The most common drop points are north point, south point, lagoon and the sea coral resort. Check with the tours for closest drop points. For swimming pool I must say airlie has an amazing public pool called the lagoon. In summary recommend this resort for those who enjoy hanging out in a resort with great views. Otherwise its overpriced for the service, facilities, food and overall experience.

Amazing location! Staff were amazing , in particular the check in staff who were more than accommodating with everything I asked. The housekeeping team did an amazing job and the food and beverage team kept us well fed and the drinks are sooooo good. The pool area is beautiful. We were in the King spa deluxe room which was awesome. However for the price there should be more cooking options if you want to cook one night. The furniture was a bit dated but again, you are paying for location and view. We will definitely stay again.

The only place to stay at when in Airlie/Whitsundays. This place never disappoints. Great work on the renovations in the room. This time we had a jacuzzi and a hammock on our balcony which we enjoyed very much. The staff were lovely and very helpful when we needed some guidance to what activities to do. The pool, bar and restaurant downstairs were amazing as always. Again, the only place to stay when in Airlie/Whitsundays. Dont go looking for any other place. This resort is right on the water so you get to wake up with the best view ever, uninterrupted!

Where do we start. It’s ran by 20 year olds! We had a wedding party of approximately 50 people, Staying there for 10 days. Service is terrible, you could see how the staff were constantly fighting between each other. The restaurant is terrible, the cooks are no way on point for a resort! The breakfast was not fresh in any way, the dinners (mealsare very under done. Seafood should be delivered in a refrigerated van not in the back of the cooks car! The staff are incredibly undertrained, rude and without any guidance at all. The food and beverage manager (Stevenis a ghost and when on site is only concerned about talking to his female staff like a little school boy! This man should be embarrassed to be in the hospitality industry! No problem was dealt with by this individual, he has no maturity and no ownership of himself or his team’s accountability! I would so much love to meet the owners of this establishment to consult them with this major problem they have in this ‘resort’. The dissatisfaction between not just our guests but others that we met during our stay was staggering! We are a very well traveled group of friends we were with and all were shocked with what was transpiring.We can not recommend this resort while at Airlie Beach there are so many more nicer options as we seen while enjoying the surrounding areas.

Recently stayed there for a week. Great location. Nice atmosphere around the bar and pool. Rooms were ok. Hit and miss with staff quality. At least half of all the staff have this rude angsty teen attitude. Food was expensive for the quality. Buffet breakfast was mediocre. Room service menu was lacking in variety and had no kids meals. They also charge an $8 room service fee just to bring it up from downstairs. This is the kind of hotel where you stay there for the convenience of its proximity to Arlie beach and the lovely boardwalks along the beach but theres not much to make you want to linger there.

Ocean front rooms are very tired and need renovating. Spa on balcony is a small circular bath with jets that dont work properly and not powerful enough to massage . Very dissapointing for the price we paid per night. However the view was beautiful and bed was comfortable.Sunlounges instead of the hammock/ chairs would be much nicer.

I dont know if youll wake up to a better view in Airlie Beach. Great modern rooms with beautiful views off your private balcony. The hotel is a short walk to town and the Whitsundays marina. Great food and drinks from the pool side. Perfect for couples or families.

This is my first ever review and i just had to do it one for Coral Sea Resorto at The Rocks. The service is appalling! The staff forgot multiple orders and when we went to ask where our orders were at they didn’t do anything about our missing orders, after speaking to them multiple times, waiting over 40 minutes. The girls behind the bar showed disgusting customer service with “bitchy” replies to where the missing orders were. No apologises were given for missing orders. One of my friends had to refund his order as he never received it after 1 hour. I will not be returning to this venue which is upsetting as the venue location is beautiful!

Wow! The view from the room was fantastic. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor and had an uninterrupted 270° view of the ocean, so close to the water that when we looked down from the balcony we could see fish swimming in the water.We stayed in a spa king deluxe room. The room was very clean and the décor seemed quite modern despite some of the other reviews! (perhaps we had a newly renovated room)?The daily buffet breakfast was good too.

Beautiful place to stay. Came up for a girlfriends surprise birthday staying 2 nights then off on a boat for another 2 where the lovely staff took care of our luggage until we came back for another night.The rooms were beautifully laid out and the views amazing, air con was the best!! Pool and other facilities including the jetty were just stunning I couldn’t have been more impressed.The rocks pool bar and restaurant had world class service so thank you. Buffet breakfast was absolutely divine I always left with a fully belly, no better way to start the day. Dinner was absolutely stunning with sunset views, the staff both in the restaurant (breakfast as welland the bar were amazing thank you ladies and gents for your awesome service and making our stay one to remember.

Had a work function here in early March 2022. Stunning location and great outdoor areas to eat and drink whether that be by the pool, restaurant or jetty. Staff are friendly and food was amazing. Only downside was that the conference room toilets were located outside of the room which did not go well with the high level of humidity. Otherwise, gold stars for this place.

Was a pretty average stay. The room set up was odd, got the 2 bedroom apartment and the room with two single beds had pretty much a roller door/open bathroom situation. Floors in the room were super dusty that walking from the shower to bed you would have to wipe your feet off before getting in. For the price I honestly expected there to be water bottles in the room. Other than this the A/C in the room was great.The restaurant service was beyond terrible. Mates got the overpriced and underwhelming buffet the first day and decided we would not eat there again for breakfast. Wasnt sure if it was table service or not because we sat there for an hour waiting for someone to take a drink order, eventually went to the pool bar to be told yes it was table service. We were prepared to stay in the restaurant for lunch and drinks but couldnt get any service. Dont order the focaccia as its like eating a dry sponge. One of the waitresses was lovely enough to approach us and take it off the bill when I told her. Other than that I wouldnt recommend the restaurant because theres no service to even order food. The hot chips are good though, would recommend those.Overall a pretty underwhelming stay.

Amazing location, Rooms were nice and well laid out.Pool, bar, restaurant, jetty combo is fantastic, super fun place to spend a few hours any time of the day. Luckily there werent many children around though which could have made experience worse.

After a error with booking.com meaning we had no room, the staff managed to get us in without much hassle. Staff at the Rocks were particularly awesome. Great facilities and views. Highly recommended.

Stunning outdoor area and views. Very grateful to be able to check in early 🙏 Rooms are slightly dated and I’d think that for $485 for one night there would be cold bottled water in the room upon arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection ok (only continental available due to issue with range hood). The stand out here is absolutely the pool and bar area. A great place to spend the day.
