THIS WAS AN AMAZING PLACE TO BE !!, I will def be back here. The owner Diana is extremely professional and very kind. The pool and the tub were amazing, very clean with a great view. My BF and I loved it👏
Like this plase, they got pool, spa, restaurant, nice , big clean rooms, staff is friendly..
It is actually the Phoenix Inn now..so fun
Awesome opportunity to use the pool for a small fee
Great Service Beautiful Place.
Should mention that the name of this place has been changed to Phoenix Inn Resort.. Gorgeous resort with so many little touches. A jacuzzi bathtub, a sitting area in the deluxe room, very quiet even though its on the main street. We could smell the sanitizer when we came in the room, and the young lady at the front desk explained about their COVID-19 policies. This gem is smack in the middle of the hills of Gore Mountain, and the fall colors are a spiritual experience.
Its rooms are nice , jacuzzi in bathroom amazing (executive room).just not perfectly spotless otherwise I would have rated it 5star
Great stay at this hotel after whitewater rafting all day. The hotel at the time is in the midst of upgrading. The actual name of the hotel is Phoenix Inn Resort as of August 2020. Rooms are a bit dated but this may be taken care of in the upgrade. Rooms are clean. There is a supermarket up the street so that made it easy for our teens to grab snacks for the evening. Reasonably priced for a group of 3 families.
They changed over , really bad service , stood there at the desk for ten min , finally track someone down to help us , room not ready it was 2pm had to be somewhere so left with the keys , got back late 930pm keys didnt have room number on them had to wait again to find out what Room we were in . Room , bed had no blankets on them , ceiling had water stains , towels were the size for a child , no coffee in the morning down stairs , room only had one cup no creamer, big disappointment !! Room over price ! Dont waste your money !
Ate at trappers with the family. Food was very good and priced decently. Doing a nice job of social distancing and using face coverings and offering hand sanitizer. Doing well to comply with difficult mandates to be open. Their under new management and I think their headed in the right direction.
Nice place, close to Gore mountain
The new owner is fantastic and has great plans to add upgrades over the next year. Highly recommended.
We went to the restaurant here when Basil & Wicks was too crowded. We were informed the Copperfield Inn didnt have their liquor license yet, but we thought that was ok and it might be a good opportunity to try the restaurant, which just opened under new management. Where to start? The drafty dining room was mostly empty. There was one family huddled around their table wearing their jackets. My dad ordered the $20 steak medium rare. It came out medium covered in a tasteless brown sauce. It was unclear how it was cooked - it definitely wasnt charred on a grill or cooked on a hot skillet. It was flavorless and grey throughout. The accompanying brussel sprouts were unseasoned, oddly mushy, and tasted like something microwaved from a frozen bag. They were the first inedible brussel sprouts Ive ever encountered. My hamburger was dry and tasteless and I couldnt eat it. The fries were the kind that come in a frozen bag. felt bad for the earnest waiter who was was stuck serving this soul-crushing fare from the kitchen. Adding insult to injury, paying the $45 bill was a bit of an ordeal. The one person authorized to operate the cell phone credit card app was the owner who had disappeared for ten minutes because there was a problem elsewhere in the hotel. The Copperfield Inn is a beautiful building in the tiny North Creek downtown and its sad to see what its become. I hope this meal isnt a portend of the future.
Under new ownership And they are more than halfway done with their renovations. The place is looking better than it did when new. The owner Diane is a sweetheart and made us feel really comfortable. I would definitely come back again!
I went there to go to my favorite restaurant, why is Trappers closed ? :-(
Nice and comfortable large quit rooms, great swimming pool and the gym looked real goodWe were disappointed that the restaurant & lounge were closed, that should be updated on website. The town really rolls up the sidewalks at 5pm so outside of 1 place open for dinner you will have to drive a little distance. Also be aware there is WiFi at the hotel , but if you have Verizon we found out there is no cell phone coverage in that, area.
Showed up and the two restaurants advertised were closed with no reason why. Room was clean but dated
had a nice hot tub and dry sauna
Its an understandably dated facility, but they need to put in a bit more effort. There was a dead insect on our carpet, and our sink didnt drain. I might have overlooked these issues, but not at the room rate we paid.
Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff
Been there after Christmas, and I was happy with the decision. Spacious room, bathroom very clean. The front desk was very kind and helpful
Great service, great food, and a nice setting, regular restaurant prices
My husband and I used the Copperfield for a room block for our wedding. Though neither of us actually stayed there, it took two months to get our room block deposit back (our contract stated it would be two weeksdespite multiple calls and emails, and the responsiveness was dismal on all fronts. If youre looking for accommodations for a large group, look elsewhere.
Tennis court is in great shape. Fitness center has a much better standard typical hotel (free weights and plenty of machines). There are also excellent diners within walking distance.
I found mediocre food, and a limited beer selection. The Adirondack decor was interesting, and the service was good. The prices were fair - maybe a little high considering the quality of the food.
The hotel was very very expensive. The room so fility there was food in the night table draw. The bathroom was horrible we couldn’t take a shower, there was something on the toilet paper holder it looked like blood. The shower was moldy. The sink was dirty. If I could load pictures I would. I reported all of this to the front desk nothing was done. I spoke to the manager when we were checking out and I asked to speak to the owner and to have my room fee reduced I was told I would get a call, it never happened.
Great place friendly staff !
Dont order the penne alfredo.
I was at the Copperfield for a meeting and dinner. The food was the best its ever been, served buffet style, and the renovated bar is super.Ive never stayed at the hotel, so I cant comment on this rooms
We were part of the first be Hamlet to Hut trip and had a great stay.
Horrible customer service. Everything they had advertised most of it didnt work. Noy.much hot water. Would not ever return.
Good food, good atmosphere close to the mountain! Little uninformative food wise
Awful experience at this "resort." In room heat and air conditioning unit emitted a very irritating buzz or hum all night long...loud enough to interfere with sleep. Front desk knew of problem, but had no remedies....this was in room 210, dont know if rest of rooms share this high pitch noise which circles on and off...torture. Other than that, rooms lack coffee maker, towels are substandard, carpet spotted, lamp difficult to use, and bathroom sink very slow to drain.
Staff was nice, but the inn was very overpriced for what it had to offer. Our room was smelly (mildew), dark, and the carpet was moist and stained. Stay at Alpine Lodge or Chester Inn instead!
Do NOT book with them. We booked and had to cancel and was told there was a required 14 day cancellation notice so we would not be getting our refund. Not even major hotels require a 14 day cancellation notice. Not only did we not end up staying there, they charged our card which they said was a holding fee for incidentials. How do you charge holding for incidentals when someone never checked in???? Unless you walk in and book, I would not suggest booking with them. Any excuse to keep your money!!
Very friendly front desk. Great experience until we turned the corner. Strong odor in hallway that I thought smelled like BO; my wife thought it was more "old person". Our room was no better, strong unpleasant odor (we got used to it), damp and unclean carpeting. We stayed mainly to access and bike in Brant Lake; we could deal with the circumstances for two nights but would find another place if we return.
It was pretty quiet when we went there for dinner in late September but the food and service was excellent. Definitely get the Moose sandwich!
Very nice rooms, very spacious, luxury accommodations, no refrigerator, cute couch with the coffee table. Internet Wi-Fi slow. Very kind and hospitable staff, extremely accommodating.
The food was delicious and the room was great
Great burger
False advertisement went for our honey moon restaurants were closed spa closed landscape inept and building smells like milldew the room we stayed in was nice
Great
It was a satisfactory place
great food and great conversion with staff
Todo bien
The facility is very nicely maintained. Everything here has a vintage feel. Great place to stay if you are planning to see the Adirondack area.
Good rooms the restaurant is good as well
We recently stayed at the Copperfield Inn. We planned a little getaway to go ski at Gore for the day & check into the hotel for the night afterwards. (4pm checkin timeIt was OK, expensive for what it is! Im assuming because of the mountain being so close by - Gore is only a 2 minute drive. The front door gets locked from 9pm-7am so you have to use the back entrance if you want to get in/out. Its pretty outdated, but clean & our room was large (King executive suite with jacuzzi). Huge gym/tanning downstairs, the best thing about this place! Both restaurants were closed the entire time we were there. Would be fine if it was cheaper but its nothing special for the price!
This place is tacky and classless. The food is terrible, the rooms are smelly, and the service is even worse. Dont waste your money staying here.
My girlfriend and I wanted to take a romantic weekend in North Creek and the Copperfield seemed like a nice hotel given the photos and extravagant prices. We arrived at the Inn and it was sub-par, the rooms were out of date, and things were starting to fall apart. Our mirror in the bathroom was held together by duct tape and the towel rack fell off the wall when I removed a towel. We paid a lot of money for a "package deal that came with an $80 gift card to their two "amazing" restaurants. We were excited to go to Lorenzos which was supposed to be the higher end restaurant, but it was never open. Since Travelers was the only other place to take the gift card we had to go there, the food was pretty good but the service was absolutely horrible. There were four waitresses standing around talking the whole night while one poor waiter tried to keep up with every table. They also forgot to tell us that neither of the restaurants are open on Sunday so we were left with $30 on the gift card that could never be used. Lucky enough we got part of that gift card money refunded but it took some work. You can find a much better quality hotel for less money.
