Copper Chimney - Indian restaurant in Manama, Bahrain
Copper chimney has never been disappointing.Quality of food was very good and delicious.Visiting on Wednesday (less people then on weekendsstill made us waiting to get our food for approx 20 Min.Staff are very friendly. Must visit.Overall price with 4 dish average cost will ne 20-22 BHD.
I thought the food was average and wished it was better. Considering the quality of the meals, the costs are little on the excessive side! The atmosphere is lovely that has an Indian feel, and the staffs are excellent and polite. Unexpectedly, there is no parking of its own.
Delicious food big portion
We have dined at Copper Chimney for years. The Indian food is outstanding and the service is as good as the food. Mr. Praveen (serverdoes excellent work. The curries, nans, biriyani and grills are all top notch. Additionally, the prices are moderate for westerners in Bahrain. The only drawbacks consist of the following.1. Parking: In Um Al Hassam, it is never easy to find parking. You may have to park in the open dirt/sand lot 150 meters away from the building.2. Accessibility: While there is an elevator, if someone has mobility issues, it may difficult to get to the building as there really isn’t a sidewalk. The elevator is cramped, and one must still climb a number of stairs.3. The area can be considered by some to be “ghetto” yet the service and food offered by Copper Chimney is far from ghetto.Definitely worth and try, ever with the obstacles.
One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever triedThe masala was fabulousThe chicken quality was so goodThe only negative thing was the nan
Went there for lunch. Food didnt live upto expectations and for the price. Kebab was too dry and kabab roll was below average. No parking nearby. Staff was considerate and nice was the only plus. So wont be returning unfortunately.
Ac was not working...that too in this hot season...Food quality is not as expected.Very average...but the prices have gone up... too expensive
Authentic Indian Mughlai Restaurant. Wonderful flavors across all the dishes weve tried. hara bara Kabab must try.Liked: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Value
Good Ambient, Tasty food(not allbut very expensive
One stop destination for great Indian food and alcohol. Parking can be a problem during rush hours. The food is top notch and they customize it accordingly to your needs. The ambience is fine and the service is well done. For great Indian food , this is the place !
Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. VERY rich curries. Consider splitting a main and ordering a few appetisers to share
The food was good except for the vegetable dish, we ordered. Felt like using frozen vegetables. Suggest getting fresh ones. The staff was very friendly. Mr Praveen especially..No ends were kept loose.Good job
Beautiful place, excellent and quiet location, suitable for study, meetings and family gatherings, and the taste of the açaí is delicious and fresh.I recommend everyone who is looking for calm and undisturbed to go to this cafe 🧡
One of the most beautiful Indian restaurants in the Kingdom of Bahrain for me, as it serves the most delicious Indian dishes such as biryani, makani and naan
Starters were not up to the expectations.Main course was good.
Copper Chimney is my favourite dinner joint. The food is simply super tasty and one will be tempted to visit the restaurant again and again.
Delicious Food, Friendly Staff and Great Service.
Best Indian food in Bahrain and not overpriced. Rogan gosht is the best curry with naan bread saffron rice and raita. Chicken makhani also amazing, and lamb or prawn biryani. Reshmi kabab is nice and chicken is super soft. They always have discounts on takeaway and delivery too
Absolutely disappointed! Just ordered hamur biryani and Chicken Biryani! The taste was something but it was never a biryani! Below average food standard! In chicken biryani there was no chicken! Insanely overpriced compared to quality of food! At least I do not recommend anyone!
Excellent food and lots of choice and Value for money
Best indian restaurant in Bahrain! You have to try there beef rogan ghosht, biryani and yellow dhaal
Food was very good. Service is excellent thankq all staff
It is one of the old Indian restaurant in Bahrain. If youre looking for good food and ambience is not your priority. Then it is a good place to try Indian authentic food, we had Daal Makhani, Jira Rice and vegetable kabab which were all good and roti was really nice as well.
The restaurant hasn’t changed a bit since the 80s , but in a good way. The food is authentic and the service is great 👍🏻 I recommend calling before going as the seating is limited and the parking is bad . But the food is goodWe ordered the mixed grill, lamb Makani , cucumber rita , cheese nan and the black lentil curry. The prawns were fishy and the meat was chewy and tough but the rest yummy. Also, try the fruit cocktail it’s good 👍🏻
We are not giving 1 star for food, it’s for the service.Let’s start with our initial disappointment.1. During pandemic, we all know that business outlets needs to control their costs but not by discrimination. When we went for dine, we were given use and throw cutleries but out next table was served with standard cutleries. When we asked, staff replied this is management decision that if guest request for normal cutlery, we will serve them accordingly and they gave an excuse that dishwashing machine is under repair fromLong time and spare parts are coming from different part of the world. We accepted this excuse and we came back again as we liked the food.2. Since we complained about cutlery, we are served with normal cutleries on our next visit, so we started to visit your restaurants often as I mentioned again only for taste of food. But today we really disappointed the way your service staffs getting away with an excuse saying management decisions thisneeds to stop as this may harm restaurant reputations. When ever we want to experience and want to have nice time, our expectations always get hammered by your team members excuse of flaws in service/ service design. Today we ordered vegetable biryani and we found no accompaniment( raithaplaced on the table, when we checked with service staff, their standard reply that it’s management decisions that our menu do not offer raitha as an accompaniment with Any biryani and staff stressing on that it’s management decisions and they said if you want raitha, it will on additional charges which 1.5 BHD . If guests want to raise their feedbacks to next level, we don’t find any senior member available to share our feedbacks . We have dinned in many A class restaurants but never come across that biryani do not come with any accompaniment, which we fail to convince. We are writing this feedback, so that some one senior in organization will get to read this and take necessary steps to address these issues so that guests do not spoil their movement where they come with certain expectations. We would be happy to share our detailed experience if any one from management wouldLike to know more on our feedback. Thanks
Good restaurant , delivery service available ,
I went to Cooper Chimney restaurant with wife and kids. I must say it’s an amazing place and very tasty food. I tried their Dal Makhni, Chicken tikka masala and Saffron rice.
Absolutely great north indian food. The Reshmi kebab was delicious and was my favourite as well. The Saffron rice had a subtle taste of saffron and Murgh maharaja was yummy as well. Do try their Kulfi as well, thats beyond words.Overall great service and great food, with adequate parking space.
Update March-2021Prices are unreasonably high , I do not remember that it was this pricey! Lintel and bread dishes cannot be this expensive, doubt that I’ll ever order again from here, 3 stars lost.A very lovely indian restaurant , staff are very friendly and their food is good. The place is very cozy as well.
Great food! As always, even in take away, they have maintained their quality. The grills are delicious and so are the other items.
I still havent recovered from the experience of having a cockroach sitting under my chair when entering this restaurant a couple of years ago, to the staffs amusement, or the subsequent weak explanation from the manager, playing the inevitable blame game on his staff that seems to be an inherent and congenital trait. There are basic minimum standards that have to be adhered to in any catering establishment. I have seen potato salad after mixing in a rotary stainless steel vessel being tipped on to the kitchen floor in a 5 star hotel. Why serve hot food on cold plates is a common question!Bad news always travels faster than good and it is time for long suffering clientle to voice opinions to keep restaurateurs on their toes.
Best Indian food in town. Dont miss the demonstration & tasting of the Roomali Rotis through the glass windows! Desserts need to be worked on & dont match up to the other tasty items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ALWAYS enjoy going to our favorite Indian Restaurant. Try it out. Its YUM.
Tasty Indian food, with excellent curries and a tandoor oven. Some of the best Indian food outside of India. Check it out.
Honestly I just loved it. I usually visit seef branch and their atmosphere, service, behaviour towards customer is really point taking. Food is amazinggg.
It was a very pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly. Mutton biryani was amazing
Excellent food. We had 2 different chicken dishes and they were perfect levels of spice and very tasty. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Offers the best Indian food in Manwms, and has an awesome ambiance. Very Friendly staff too. Must visit if you are in this area. Car parks are availabe near the place for free. Services are of high quality and could be better than most of restaurants in tawon! Highly recommended for singles and families at all times.
Copper Chimney is walking distance from our place in Um Al Hassam so we stroll down for an early dinner and a drink every now and then. We are always warmly welcomed by Deepak and his staff and love having him take care of us. The food is always fresh and piping hot and has never disappointed us. The only thing I can think of thats missing is some freshness on the menu. Most of the mughlai fare here, although very good, tends to be quite rich and some light vegetarian sides with some acidity/crunch/tartness to cut through the richness of the mains would be very welcome. Stir fried vegetables? Goan cabbage foogath? Overall, though, you wont be disappointed by the exceptional food and the excellent service.
Delicious dishes. Lovely and friendly waiters. We had fun and felt like home in there👍🏼💗
This is by far my family’s favorite Indian restaurant in Bahrain. The service is extremely professional and outgoing, the food is fresh and comes out hot, and the ambience is classy and suitable for a date or even a work function. We’ve been to both locations —Seef and Umm Al Hassam —and the service at both establishments has always been exceptional. From the grills to the curries to the desserts, everything is delicious and it’s served by a lovely staff.
The food was very tastytand the ingredients used in food was very diffrent and mild flavour, the ambience is good with desi bollywood music...i just loved it. Shubham is a staff of this restaurant hes very humble person. And Im writing this review because of his service wat he procipro us. I would recommend this place
Over 30 years of Indian culinary magic, located in Umm AlHassam. Never tried their grills as delicious and tasty they may seem. Always end up ordering spicy butter chicken..at Copper Chimney, spicy is spicy! And so would only recommend it if you can handle spicy food. I consider Copper Chimney as the best Indian restaurant in Bahrain, in terms of food quality and price. Its one of those places you could never get enough of. Enjoy!
4 stars is for the tasty North Indian Cuisine. However the place needs some serious updating/renovation. Good place to hang out with family and friends. They serve Alcoholic and Non alcoholic beverages.Parking is available near by.
A nice Indian restaurant with good quality and taste of food. Butter chicken and Lamb Biryani was Delicious. But Price are very high as compared to quantity and place.
Delicious Indian food.. Fast cooking no wait.
Best Indian food in Bahrain!Garlic naan is a must!Great ambiance and service! This place can be hard to find for first timers, but locate the corner hotel and take the stairs to the top. Enter and be greeted with the scent of turmeric, rich biryani, and fresh baked naan. Don’t be intimidated by the curry selection, just pick one and prepare to enjoy! They come in individual bowls so you can easily share with friends and try theirs too.So order some baskets of naan, platters of rice, and a few curry options and know that you won’t regret whatever delicious choices you make!
Good food ,it will take so late to deliver the dishes .. so late .. very very late ..
It was disappointing, gone with high expectations after checking reviews but it was very poor. We ordered mix platter ( except fish all were bakvas and their murg chuparustam ( tasteless and consistency was poor . Not recommended at all especially for those who knows How indian food taste like.
A firm favourite among Bahrainis, this classic Indian restaurant has been on the scene for a long time. Decor needs work but the food and service were really good. Glad I decided to go !
Lovely Indian cuisine with rich taste and variety of meals
