Copper Branch - Vegan restaurant in Kingston, Canada
Tried various items on the menu and they were all delicious!
Veggie burger (black bean I thinkand oven roasted fries. Simple and tasty.
So good! General Copper Bowl was amazing. The smoothie was great too :)
Great prices, food, and service.
LOVE this place - including Marco, my new favourite person. I had a Keto Bowl with some other things added and it was delicious. The Shiitake Teriyaki was incredible. I cant wait to go back......
Fantastic food, good menu. A top vegan restaurant, recommend!
Delicious food! Theyre very knowledgeable and very accommodating of dietary restrictions. Prices are pretty reasonable too. My gf and I loved it here.
I love Copper Branch! We stopped in to this location on our way by Kingston on the 401! Copper Branch is always worth the extra drive. Staff were friendly, service was relatively quick and the food was great!
I am not vegan, but like to eat vegan sometimes. This place was the BEST vegan food that I have ever tried yet!
Excellent selection of tasty vegan food, with many gluten-free options as well. Recommended!
We ate here for 3 days straight. We enjoyed the breakfast!the person running the store was amazing and very niceWe tried the ultimate sandwich and the bagel with creamcheeze , avocado toast/wings and it was really good. Its very nice to see copperbranch in a lot of locations , very good option to eat out while on holidays.●●I was only sad about the cinnamon buns, I ordered some to eat for dessert,it was cold and dry.I was expecting it to be warm cause they just told us they have cinnamon buns ready
Great plant-based menu. Service was fast, eat in or take out. I got the Asian Fusion bowl with smoked tofu, the sauce was great and a generous portion of veggies and protein. Will go back.
I had the tempeh sandwich and the revolution smoothie. I little pricey but worth it. Delicious and healthy 💯
Fantastic menu items, delivers with Uber Eats and it travels well. The power smoothies are so delicious and the desserts are the best. 100% plant based menu, the best restaurant in the city for vegans by far! If you get a chance to dine in, its a small little cafe with a great atmosphere and we had a great breakfast date there.(Photo from early 2019, I believe the waffle item has been discontinued but, they still have all day breakfast!)
Had some good experiences in the past but this time was quite disappointed to say the least. Both of us had Chewy and soggy fries, the burger buns were chewy and soggy as well. The one small piece of lettuce I got for my burger was chewy and soggy. Instead of crispy kettle cooked chips I got 3-5 sad little soggy chips. Also the hot chocolates we got tasted burnt. Also they didnt ask what type of bun we wanted and just started making the burgers, and my girlfriend is celiac and needs the gluten free bun. Definitely not worth the price for the severe lack in quality.
Quite pricey, specifically if ordering online, but my girlfriend and I are vegetarian and the vegan options dont sacrifice any flavor to honor the plant based approach. But every time we order we have something new and it never disappoints. Maybe the poutine gets a bit soggy, but small complaint.
Some dishes were stellar, some not so much. Husband liked the Nashville chicken sandwich and the smores cookie was one of the best cookies Ive ever had.
staff here are literally all emotionless/quite petty and the prices are decently high (19$ for 6 chickn wings/lumps of soy ?! 😭😭). anyways the food here is always amazing tho and ive never regretted going.
Vegan cafe.Love the zucchini chocolate brownie, specially when warmed. The Ghandhi juice was refreshing and interesting combo of spinach ginger fresh turmeric pineapple banana. The carrot kabab wasn’t worth the price as very small 4 pieces and seemed underdone. The Aztec bowl was a mix of cold things tossed together. The pumpkin spice soup was warm and comforting for a cold winter day.I give 4 Stars as it’s lovely to find full Vegan restaurants.
Fantastic food, some of the best vegan food I have ever had in a quick service place. Will return many time in the future.
Very good food. Environmentally friendly and sustainable and tastes good too!
I think two stars might be overly generous. We ordered the new crab cake burger with fries and coleslaw. It was all really… really bad. The burger looks nothing like the photo. The “crab” look like mushy pucks that were taken out of the freezer and thrown onto a bun… they tasted okay, but but by no means good. The fries were black, burnt and very dry. Inedible. They were thrown out. The coleslaw was watery and tasteless. It was also thrown out. To top it off, something from my order was missing, but at that point I didn’t care anymore because I probably would have thrown that out, too :-/ Sad I wasted money there, but glad at least I know to never go back because I had been eager to try this place for a while.
This is a small restaurant/cafe with only a few tables inside. The food is fresh and delicious! Great for take out. All made fresh while you wait (which is sometimes 5 to 15 minutes depending on how busy they are and how many staff are working. The cashier is helpful if you arent a regular and have lots of questions, which I did. The salad bowls are really big, I had dinner and then lunch the next day from one bowl. The are a little price but when you consider the ingredients they arent over priced.
I have eaten here twice and each time was beyond fantastic. They are one of the best vegan places I have ever eaten, and I lived in downtown Toronto for 6 years. The staff are really friendly, helpful, and patient, they have a great variety of food (from comfort food to health food to snacks), and their new street patio completes the experience. I recommend this place for a quick takeaway or a dine-in meal with friends anytime and any day.
Found this place when we decided to detour off the highway. Was not expecting too much but was amazingly surprised. Had the General Tao bowl and it was awesome. Great amount of heat from the spices, good amount of "meat" and veggies with the brown rice made it a very filling and satisfying dish.
As a vegan, I always appreciate these 100% plant-based food places. And I have had nothing but positive experiences with this Copper Branch branch. Both the food and staff are exceptional. And I always try to tip on all my orders here, even if it is a takeout order.I hope the staff get the money and recognition that they deserve, for making this branch have the bark that it does. ;)Thanks again, to all of you. You are all much appreciated.
The ambiance was A1 of this place. Staff is courteous, vibes were too good, food was good and healthy. Services were quick. They don’t have pop, May be because it isn’t healthy 😋All VEGAN!Good spot to have lunch or brunch or supper when driving from Ottawa to Toronto or vice versa.
Love this place! Great food great staff and all vegan what’s not to love!!
I waited far too long to try here. I admit I am really picky with my vegan food but I got the Copper Beet Burger and the Siracha Coleslaw and they were amazing. The best meal I have had in Kingston in a very long time. and I cant wait to try more. The staff are also absolutely lovely and really helped me and my daughter navigate the menu. The rare people complaining in these reviews seem to be annoyed about "wait " times ( In major cities if you are going for homemade, healthy, fresh food you should be prepared to wait over 30 minutes and the Copper Branch is much faster so that complaint is ridiculousseem like Kingstonians who are just too used to fast, premade food. Really glad to finally have a restaurant in Kingston with fresh and interesting food.
General copper bowl was amazing! My friend had the portobello burger and she loved it! The smoothies were so delicious. Definitely a “you gotta eat here” spot in Kingston.
Cant tell you how great this place is. Lets start with the location; Im local and the placement in the downtown centre is pretty ideal...not too far away, but far enough that you dont get as many (peskytourists...especially around COVID time. Food: unreal...enough said. My personal favourites include the bean burger (would eat for lunch daily if I had the money and free time), and the poutine, but only with the mushroom topping added. Drinks are lackluster, but they are licensed to serve alcohol (beer and cider on tap). The bottled drinks dont taste great and theyre extreeemely overpriced for a restaurant of its calibre. Overall, the place is a must-try. Its my favourite restaurant right now, and I go often.
Enjoyed a meal here as a party of two last summer, and was very happy to see a nice vegan restaurant with a diverse menu right in the heart of Kingston. The inside of the restaurant was clean, pleasant, and spacious and the location was convenient around Kingstons pretty downtown. Our food was prepared in a timely manner and was very tasty, though portions were smaller than expected. Would definitely get the bean burger next time, not the mushroom burger, to enjoy a better value.
I previously visited The Copper Branch in Kingston when traveling here on vacation, and really enjoyed it! The food was great, and I always love to visit The Copper Branch for their extensive healthy vegan / vegetarian menu. Hope to have the chance to visit again soon!
Stopped in this evening our on trip from Ottawa to Toronto. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We had the General Copper bowl and the Copper Deluxe burger. Both were so tasty and colourful. We really enjoyed our meal and will stop in again next time we are in town
So happy that I can get both vegan and GF options downtown! Love that I can bring my meat-loving friends here and not have to compromise on taste or options despite dietary restrictions. So much choice, spicy bean burger, poutine, flat breads were all excellent. Will definitely be going back 🙌
I usually love this place - the General Copper power bowl is my favourite - but after my experience there last night, Im not sure that Ill be back for awhile. Perhaps there are new owners, new staff or both, but typically it takes about 10 minutes for your food to be ready. And its fresh, delicious and super healthy. However, last night, I waited about 35 minutes total for my bowl and cauliflower flatbread. After several other people had come in after me and gone with their orders, I walked up and asked the staff if my order was almost ready. They both gave me a blank look and then the one guy ran to the back room and I saw him grab the flatbread and quickly start making it and the young woman started making the power bowl. They hadnt even started my order yet and Id easily been standing there 20 minutes! I told them that I had to go as I was meeting someone at my house for dinner and was assured that it would be ready in a couple of minutes. At least 10 more minutes passed by. A man named Mike had been sitting there who is probably the manager or owner commented that hed noticed that Id been waiting quite awhile and shouldnt have to wait that long, and offered me a free slice of cheesecake, which was nice. Finally got my order and when I arrived at home, starving and eager to eat my favourite power bowl that Id been craving, I realized that it wasnt even the bowl Id ordered!! It was completely different and not even on the menu - was similar to the Aztec but with ingredients like white rice. It was like they had just thrown stuff together and created a new bowl. Was not even aesthetically pleasing like their bowls typically are. I do not tolerate black beans or corn which were both in it, but ate half of it because I was so hungry and what do you know...this morning, I woke up with a pounding headache and vomited. I called the Copper Branch last night as soon as Id realized the error theyd made and spoke to Mike, who has given me a $15 gift card as compensation, so at least thats something. But I am really not eager to return which is too bad, as the food is delicious and the service usually much quicker. Chalking it up to new ownership and/or new staff and hopefully just an off night for the restaurant.
No need to sacrifice flavour to eat plant-based. Even meat eat will feel satisfied that they can find a wide variety of options, something nourishing and delicious. Portions leave you as satisfied as the flavour. If you want to feel good about your meal out, there is no place like Copper Branch. And they just catered a benefit for an animal sanctuary. This restaurant is a breath of fresh air and a welcome addition to the community. My elderly mother even loved it!

One of the best Copper Branch in Canada, service was great and the quality is on par.
Great place for a dinner with friends. Everything was vegan, removing any question of what was safe to choose from the menu. The food for the four of us was all great and the staff were very friendly.
Food tastes great, fresh and healthy and the staff is very positive. I like to get a side salad and the roasted sweet potatoes as a lunch combo. The only thing I have to complain about is I find some menu items to be poor value when it comes to portioning. I had a side salad the other day and I could count the individual greens that were in it. It totaled to about 3 fork-fulls. (I did ask for a bit more lettuce/greens and the staff obliged).I appreciate the push to more eco-friendly options, and having quick and healthy options in the downtown area!
My new favorite for healthy meals on the go! So far everything Ive had has been super delicious. Great if you are looking for vegetarian/vegan food.
The food was delicious. I never new vegan options taste so good. Portions are of decent size.
Was quite excited to try Kingston’s vegan restraunt as my girlfriend has been a vegetarian her whole life. After ordering, I received my meal, however it took at least 30 minutes until my girlfriend received hers. Multiple people complained regarding the service, yet nothing seemed to change. Overall I’m disappointed by the service we received and would not recommend this establishment if you’re looking for a quick lunch.
Im not a vegetarian/vegan but the food was good. The mushroom burger was a lit small but I liked the sauce. I recommend the bowls as the ingredients looked so fresh. Also I loved the chocolate brownie samples!
I love this branch, first time I tried in Montreal and fell in love with their meatless chicken wings, waffles and smoothies. I came 3 times during my stay in Kingston. I gave one point less because although I gave my feedback on the waffles, they were not surprised that they were not exactly as other branches. Also I want to mention that normally I don’t like poutine, and this is the best one I have ever tried. I now love copper branch poutine!!!!
I have been to Copper Branch three times already and have loved it every time! Sampled the tofu wings (delicious), kids meal (simple and tasty), and southwest scramble wrap (best breakfast item EVER). So happy to see vegan options coming to Kingston more and more!
Wow, what an amazing place!! I have been there 4 times in the last two weeks, I can’t express how happy I am for Kingston to finally have a Vegan restaurant. The food is remarkable and the serves is some of the friendliest I have ever experienced. The manager is very knowable about the food and is more than willing to help with questions. I took my omnivore Mother and she just loved it, it’s not just for vegans. So whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or an omnivore you owe it to yourself to check this place out!!
How wonderful to walk into a bright, clean and colourful restaurant and know that I can order ANYTHING from the menu!!! This restaurant offers so many choices, it was actually hard to decide what to have! So far Ive had the "wings," the poutine, the zucchini noodles and the portobello mushroom burger, as well as a smoothie. I LOVED every single thing and I am looking forward to working (eatingmy way through the entire menu! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you for coming to Kingston Copper Branch!
Amazing plant-based restaurant with great variety! We tried two bowls: Mediterranio and Aztec. Both had bold flavors, yet very different. All ingredients are vegan and organic. Price is reasonable. Each bowl is $14. They have a very convenient online ordering system, where you can customize ingredients and make payment. I just walked in and picked up the food without even waiting in line. Its going to be our new favorite spot in Kingston!
