Copper Branch - Vegan restaurant in Mississauga, Canada
The 4 smoothies they offer on their menu are delicious. Highly recommend any of them. Especially love Einstein & Revolution.
Great place! Great menu! Can’t go wrong here!
Ample options for vegan and vegetarians..a little pricy but overall great taste. Will visit again :)
Nice staff and vibe but food is not good at all. Tried the burgers, wraps, and smoothies and all were very poor.
My new favorite restaurant. Highly recommend anything with the general tao shitake as long as they keep cooking it Ill keep coming.
Overpriced. Avocado toast was smaller than a coaster. One person doing till and food prep, and card payment machine was down so had to pay cash. Avoid this place. I am giving it two stars as the single service staff onsite was cordial and doing her very best to keep the place afloat. Be prepared for slow service.
Expensive ! Some par food and prices continue to rise there weekly - monthly. Often empty and cashier use a calculator and can barely get the total correct without support. Food isnt delicious as the price their asking.
Small portions, lacking taste and sauces. The other copper branch locations are way better, will not be visiting this location again.
Dont go there if youre Black!!!I went there for the first time yesterday. Did not have a chance to taste the food. I was the only patron in the restaurant. However, the Chinese attendant just stood and stared at me. I tried to start a conversation but he completely ignored me as if I wasnt there.I finally walked out feeling very disappointed. I have never experienced this kind of behavior before from someone in the service sector...unbelievable!
It was fresh and delicious the staff was polite and professional we loved the Aztec power bowl and the soy bean sandwich the French fry’s were seasoning really well.
Quality food. Great location with lots of parking. Lots of options available.
I went here with my wife and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very calming. We ordered a falafel wrap and poutine fries. The food was really interesting and above all else it was healthy. Its hard to find a healthy and tasty diner. I would highly recommend coming here and bringing someone you love.
This is the second time I try copper branch. I had the cauliflower flat bread (pestoit was a really good - the bread was thin which I loved but a little too much oil added (personally), thus the 4 star.To drink I had the berry smoothie. All their smoothies are delicious.
The burger and carrots balls (forgot the namewere fantastic!! The cookies and coffee cake were delicious, very moist and flavourful. My poutine was disgusting. All fries burnt as you can see, sauce and cheese gross....maybe cause all I could taste is char....so expensive too as I love poutine and ordered this as a separate meal. 3 stars cause the other food was good enough to compensate for how terrible the poutine is.
Nice and clean place, good service and lots of healthy options plus great coffee. Will visit again and try more stuff.
Just ordered keto bowl with added shitake mushrooms. Got home to only find no shitake. Absolutely hate when this happens especially when getting whats supposed to be a better product. Typically have loved copper branch but now skeptic. Maybe just an issue with this location. Might try them again..but for now not happy.
First time at this location..got my order but the cashier guy was not friendly and I wasnt able to customize my bowl the way I wanted.I offered to pay the difference instead I got what he think I should get see pics. Will not be visiting again Ill go to another branch in Brampton.Update: Ive provided all of the answers, location and all communication stopped..way to go copper branch heartland.
Weve been vegan for 6 months and we were running out of ideas of what to eat as far as takeout. THIS PLACE IS OUTSTANDING. The ingredients are so fresh. This is the best meal Ive had in a long time. I had the tacos and my husband had tao fusion bowl.We will definitely be returning.Thank you @copper branch for caring about your food and feeding your community healthy ingredients.
This was our first time trying Copper Branch.Everything on the menu looked like a great option. The food tasted great, everything was cooked perfectly. There was a bit of wait to get our order though and the portions were surprisingly small too.We would definitely be back and try different items on the menu. Its great for a lunch or picnic!
I went there for the first time in hopes of a having a patio lunch... Well their patio is a bit of a disappointment so it wasnt exactly the experience I was hoping for... But luckily their food and service wasnt. As many people here have noted they have a wide array of vegan choices available. Pick anything and you wont be disappointed, although I wouldnt recommend the coffee there to anyone. All in all, good food and service. I hope to visit again but only when indoor service reopens.
I’m going to start off by saying I’m not vegan but this place hits the spot when you’re craving something healthy for breakfast! It’s a bit pricy but worth it. I usually get the ultimate bagel sandwich and I add avocado.
Came here for a quick lunch. Service was good and place was nice and clean. I got the Aztec bowl (smaller sizeand it was pretty tasty. The falafel was a bit dry, but otherwise pretty good salad. Only downside was that I felt it was overpriced in terms of the amount of food you get. Overall, I would come back to try a different menu item given the quality and freshness (for the most partof their food.
I tried Copper Branch once again after dining there when they first opened. I was happy to find a very extensive menu with a variety of dishes, from tacos to bowls and pizza style flatbreads. Ultimately, I opted for the General Copper Bowl which consists of General Tao ‘chicken,’ broccoli, fresh avocado and sticks coleslaw on a bread of brown rice. You can also substitute the rice for konjac keto noodles if you’d like.I was pretty impressed with the quality and the taste of the chicken. As a meat eater, I’m usually skeptical of meat substitutes as they tend to be a hit or a miss. However, the General Tao was delicious, not too chewy and neither was it hard like other chicken substitutes. I did not enjoy the broccoli as it was very lightly cooked and tasted almost raw. I was excited about the Sriracha coleslaw at first but when I tried it, it was not neither spicy nor creamy. However, the avocados were a great addition, they were fresh and paired well with the chicken. The prices I felt are a little more expensive considering there is no real meat but you can taste that the ingredients really are fresh.Ultimately, this dish is far better than the bowl I tried last time and is sure to be a hit amongst vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. If it’s your first time at Copper Branch, do try this.
Copper Branch has changed my point of view on vegan food🥦. The General Copper Bowl is my favourite and so are the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings. The vegan smores cookies are also amazing (dont know about the calories though!)Ive now visited this local Heartland Copper Branch over 5 times now and have always ordered the same items. Food in my experience has been consistent, location has always been clean and staff have always been friendly. I hope Covid-19 gets eliminated with a vaccine in the near future so we can all get back to dining in at local joints. Support local! 🇨🇦
Surprisingly filling. Ordered the mushroom burger and some sort of Southwest burger; it was flavorful, hearty and we had to have a container for the fries.
Tried it for the first time today. I felt that it was too pricey for what it is. The Asian Fusion did taste good but it was one of those dishes where you feel like you can probably make at home better and cheaper. So the cost of this for its size too feels like a hefty convenience fee. Also didnt think mini would be as mini as it was. The price was more than half of the regular size. I wonder if the regular size is more than twice as large? The spicy black bean burger was pretty good and almost competitively priced with Boon Burger. The fries I like a little more here because they are not loaded with sesame seeds. The downside was that there were quite a number of burnt fries lurking in each bite if you werent careful. If you are vegan/vegetarian (Im notand dont feel like cooking, sure this place is convenient. But if you were looking for a place to indulge, I have been to other vegan/vegetarian places much better for similar price.
It was nice to be back here. Tried their Indian Curry bowl which was okay but service is really good. Their Iced Chai Almond Latte is nice too.
I was recommended by my aunt to try this vegan place. Im not a vegan however I dont mind indulging in good eats. I ordered the General Copper meal which I chose quinoa as a base instead of their organic brown rice. I didnt know what to expect after the first bite but once I had it, it was great! I didnt even notice the lack of meat in the dish. Portions were pretty big but I did feel it was more on the pricey side. I would definitely recommend this spot for vegan eats! Cant wait to go back and try some other dishes!
I love that copper branch is 100% vegan. You wouldnt think it was by looking at the menu either because they serve more than just fancy bowls. I had ordered a portabello mushroom sandwich as a combo and it was great value because the burger itself is 9.99 but for a combo its 10.99 and the bowl of fries is massive, I was able to share it with my table (there were 3 of us). The burger was delicious and had a cheese like sauce oozing out of it. The oven baked fries were great too. The restaurant is well decorated and has lots of seats inside, can maybe fit 20-30 people
Sat Jan 18th 2020 experience at 6pm.TAKEOUTPoorly trained staff. South Asian girl dumped my Nachos in the box doing a terrible job. I saw it happen from a distance. The Asian Guy working at that time scolded her and then packed my food.I asked if the order was fine and he replied yes.Got home and saw this . See photo . Poorly trained staff and location compared to other Copper Branch locations .I never trust any takeout without inspection but I failed to do so hereAll the toppings are sitting at the bottom of the box.
A vegan place pretty close to my office, so come to try their dishes. I really enjoy trying different vegan restaurants even I am not a vegan. But this time, high hope ended with disappointment. From what their posters are showing, they certainly try to be more creative. Originally, I ordered coconut masala curry bowl, but they run out of some ingredients. Thats ok, so I ordered their general copper bowl. It was very very salty. Also the texture of the boiled broccoli, avocado cubes, pickled carrots and purple cabbage and overly salted tofu just do not go together well. Usually power bowls are hard to make them really wrong, but the cook today managed to make a very bad taste power bowl. To be fair, I will come back to try other dishes. Hope this is just one off. Lets see.
Excellent plant-based food with quality/healthy ingredients. The General Copper is super tasty, and the new beet-based Copper burger is sweet and delicious.
We had a bowl and the mushroom burger. Both were delicious! Its pricey but comparable to other veg food joints at Heartland. Cost about 32$ for both meals, no drinks. I think its worth it! The only thing I would suggest is to have ingredients listed on the main menu. I found myself asking many questions and watched other patrons do the same.
Cafe style, flavourful food. Staff super friendly. Good food, good experience.
Delicious and healthy vegan food 😀 I will definitely go there again with my family.
Im not vegan, but we should always be open to trying new things and thinking more ethically. Came here for the first time in June 2019. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and filling. I had a "crab cake" burger with carrot keftedes. So good! A bit pricey, but this type of food takes a lot of time and ingredients, so it will be a bit pricey. If I had lots of extra time and money every week, this is the type of food Id like to prepare and eat. But Im lazy and anyway I dont have that kind of time and money so I will just visit Copper Branch once in a while and enjoy their amazing creations.
At first glance, it seems like a fast food counter, but SO much better. Eating great food, that makes you feel good.Has baby high-chairs.Enjoyed the platter and burger. The seasoning and sauces really make you forget how healthy everything is!
The food itself tastes fantastic. Im not vegan or even vegetarian, but that did not detract from the quality of the food. I enjoyed every bite of the burger and sandwich. However, there werent many bites, especially with the sandwich. For the price, which is around $11 with taxes, it is quite expensive for a small portion. Straight up quality though, it is very good I would recommend to try it at least once.
I went here a long time ago and was not impressed with the food or service. Decided to try it again yesterday and it was so much better! Glad I gave it a second chance because I love to see and support vegan restaurants. The service was much better too - the cashier helped me and was super friendly.I got the spicy black bean burger and it was delicious. Will definitely be returning.
Probably one of the most expensive lunches Ive ever had. But worth every penny! The shiitake terriyaki on a collard green wrap was a burst of flavour in my mouth. Im not a vegan but Ill definetly go back for another healthy organic meal. I was also impressed with the service. This location is clean and the staff are very welcoming.
I was impressed with their rice bowl and wings. They really tasted like meat! Their portobello mushroom burger was tasty too! Only downside is their nachos... it was bland and unappealing. For such a simple dish, I expected more. The ambience is good, place is clean and staff are friendly. Price is reasonable too.
Definitely great food quality . Copper Burger was good even with the gluten free bun.Soup was delicious . Food is cooked professionally and you can tell the preparation is very clean .If I could pick on anything the kombucha was overpriced at 5.50 a bottle where at whole foods it ranges from 2.99 to 3.99.I dont know if this is the best location. Would of best been situated in the square one FOOD DISTRICT which recently opened. Also they use microwave convection technology to reheat food if that is bothersome to anybody .
~*Update - the email that the company gave me to express my complaints is an invalid email. I wish I could remove the one star *~My husband and I really wanted to love this place, but found it lacking. The gluten free buns were rock hard. I took a video of me knocking it against the table if you dont believe me Ill happily share. The rest of the food was mediocre. Im happy to pay a high price for good food, but unfortunately at Copper Branch the price doesnt dictate the quality. My husband has Celiac and we had issue communicating that with the cashier and ended up having to talk with the chef, after the order had been placed and paid for they mentioned something we had order had gluten in it, so it went in the trash. After all the complications we had we figured it wasnt worth trying to get it corrected. The menu isnt the clearest when it come to gluten free items and sauces. Even though Copper Branch advertizes as being gluten free friendly, it really isnt.
I purchased the Aztec Bowl pictured and it was great! Super flavourful. My friends got the shittake burger and the general (taobowl respectively and those were good as well. I am not vegan and was impressed - great meat alternative offerings!
The main USP of this place is , that its a vegetarian / vegan joint . So anything you pick from the menu is no meat. Food is good, nice atmosphere .Some may find it expensive but end of the day it depends on person to person .Overall it deserves a first visit .
We love Copper Branch, and have frequented the downtown Toronto and Markham locations in the past year. Those two chains seem to have great portions and consistency unlike this location, unfortunately. The protein portions for bowls are ridiculously small (three pieces of tiny, almost inedible smoked tofu). I also asked for sweet potatoes to be subbed in for guacamole because of an avocado allergy and they noted this but didn’t seem to carry through. Customer service at the cash could be friendlier too but that can be overlooked. Unfortunately, until I hear of improvements on portion sizes, I probably won’t be coming back.
I fully believe in supporting Vegan businesses. But I had a couple of issues with this particular restaurant. Firstly, the server at the counter, who appeared to be either the owner or manager, was less than welcoming. Not hostile, but not cheerful neither. I do not expect to be greeted by someone with the personality of Doris Day, but a smile and a "how are you" would be nice. Secondly, I found the black bean burger though tasty, small in size. The fries were definitely disappointing. Undercooked and slightly cold. I will visit again, and hopefully the experience will be better. Though I will say that the seating area is certainly clean and pleasant.
This place is great!!! More vegan options in Mississauga is so great to see! Honestly the food is so filling and tasty anyone would enjoy, vegan or not. Will continue to hit this place up on a weekly basis and get the Aristotle bowl which is my favourite!! Also reccomend the copper bowl with the general tao chickn made with shataki mushroom which you wouldnt even know!!! 10/10
Wow. I cannot believe this little gem exists right here in Heartland! Everything that touched her our lips was beyond delicious!!!We got the poutine and shitaki mushroom sandwich and the Aztec bowl. We then got the cashew key lime pie for dessert.Vegan food is usually so expensive and always the same wherever you got for fast food. This place was very reasonably priced (all above things came to $37 after tax). We also loved how the bowls were super unique and the flavours really shone through. We are definitely coming back soon.100% would recommend.
Today was my second visit to this location. Both times have been over the lunch hour. 2 people ordering a meal each. The food is incredible!!! Ive tried the burrito and the Aztec power bowl and both were delicious. Its the service that really brings this place down. On the first visit they were clearly short staffed...only 2 employees working. The wait was approx. 20 minutes total (to order and receive our food). Today was worse....5 staff yet an almost 25 minute wait for our food. Then, when we asked for it to be boxed for take-out instead of eating-in as planned (because of the slow service), it took another 15 minutes. I really hope management can figure out their service issues. I wont return any time soon.
