New Orleans-based chain offering a lengthy menu of Cajun-Creole classics, plus signature drinks.
The Seafood Platter and Shrimp Po-Boy hasnt changed in over 10 years of deliciousness. The best part was seeing waitress A. whom visited my table, this amazing lady remembered me after not seeing her in 9 years. Thank you A. for remembering me as one of your best customers at Copelands. I will come back to Copelands for the food and to visit you. 4-Stars were given because renovation work was in progress. Thank you for not changing the design, decorations, colors, and furniture from Mr. Als original design. Sorry, Google Visitors, the food was tasty, delicious, hot, well seasoned, fresh, and was eaten fast before pictures could be taken.
Rude staff.Walked in on a catering order around 10:30 am as it was the time agreed on and was greeted by “you’re not supposed to be here” while aggressively typing in my order, and speaking rudely when I asked for extra utensils I had paid for. Furthermore, I had to ask for help to bag my meals since they seemed like they wanted to do it myself and no one offered to help at least load it in my car (not a problem but this order was at least for 25 people.)
Awsome food service just really bizzy
Best food and cheesecake Ive had in my whole life. Amazing service, everything was perfect. Would drive the 5 hour trip from home just to eat here!
The rib-eye was terrible, way over cooked and very little flavor. It kind of tasted like one of those frozen dinner Salisbury steaks. The sides were good and the service was good overall. When I brought up how bad the steak was the server she said that corporate had just come in and changed a bunch of things. She was apologetic but it did seem a bit disingenuous. Definitely not worth $37, pick a different menu item, save some money, and have a good time.
Where to begin the Jazz wings was under cooked chicken 🐔. No Management came out we had to fir dome to come out. No Im sorry for service rare meat.. Nothing taking off the bill. The food not the same. Baby Copeland is not the same but one here has not so good service
Extremely dissatisfied! Spent $60 plus a tip on soggy food! Fries, burger, and crawfish ravioli was all soggy. Last time I order from here.
The staff that worked our event were so friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding.
Great food and great service. They have extensive options with good portions and prices. The crab claws are always a good choice for an appetizer and I haven’t been let down by any of the pastas. The only thing I did not love was the tortilla soup because I was expecting a broth based soup. All in all very consistent and good. The pizza bowl is literally a cheese pizza on the bottom of the dish (share it! It’s huge)
The food was good but mostly seafood and chicken. I personally rather pork or beef. Nice environment. Wine was on point.
Food was excellent. Cheesecake was amazing. Server was friendly and courteous.
Absolutely poorest experience dining since I don’t know when. Wait staff were inattentive, promises items but never deliver. Gave many excuses as to why dinner took so long, but never bothered to address needs during wait. Wrong appetizers were delivered. Our party waited from 6:30 until 8:20 before first entree arrived. Food was cold when it arrived. At the prices they charge I would expect much more. I will not be spending anymore of my money at Copeland’s
Great place for a family friendly meal or a quiet dinner for 2... Staff is amazing & very accommodating!
Absolutely horrible food,my server was great the Manger lizi talked to was rude as could possibly be and come to find out its hot as hell because whoever hasnt had installationin the ceiling since the storm ,this use to be a decent establishment to eat at,now its gone totally downhill
Food was bland, but dessert was amazing, if you love bread pudding!!
It appears the cooks the evening I went did not know much about Cajun or Creole food so they threw something awful together. Our shrimp dish was terrible and ruined good LA shrimp. Both of us felt sick afterwards
Excellent service and food, very happy I found this place while passing through Houma.
What I love most about Copelands is that they guarantee their food.Once, I got corn and crab Bisque and it was just too spicy…. I eat it all the time but this particular time someone in the kitchen got aggressive with the red pepper.BUT the manager got on the phone and said she would put me in the IOU book to get my soup replaced.I JUST GOT MY “replaced” SOUP AND IT IS DELICIOUS.Most businesses today do not care about their Customers But Copelands is a great business that I eat at about once per week. They are NOT normal !!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COPELANDS and my favorite waitress is FEATHER !WAY TO GEAUX COPELANDS !!!
Picked up a couple orders of spinach dip for an outing and the curbside service was quick and it was delicious!
One of our top 5 favorite go to date night spots.💕We like to go during the not so busy hours of the day. We have tried most of the menu by now and have not had anything we didnt like yet.
celebrated my girls(Monisa)birthday tonight, everything was delicious as usual,i had the catfish acadiana, red hot potatoes and steamed broccoli florets, drank some Mardi Gras punch, the celebration was wonderful and our server Stephanie M was very accommodating and the bartender Gwen is the absolute best.
The menu horrible to see, no,one I was with can tell me the price even, so we did a guest in game .Highly expensive, tips way to high, much as my meal. So I wont be eating there for years again, maybe never.
We always have a great experience here
Look... for years we avoided the Copelands. We always had terrrrrrrrrrrriiiiibbbblllllleeeee service, so we just stopped going. However, my friends made a reservation there to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time. Our server was amazing and our food came out so quickly. We drank all the wine. Everything was delish! So, theyre back on the restaurant rotation... for now.*UPDATE* The Copelands is OFF the restaurant rotation. We came with our kids for dinner and for some reason they sat us at the only table in the restaurant without a white table cloth. The table was sticky. The service was terrrrrrrrrrrriiiiibbbblllllleeeee. We just want to eat your food and give you our money! For the love of God do better!
Slow kitchen times in a restaurant that wasnt busy. Lack luster service.. and food quality wasnt up to Copelands standards. Stick to Copelands in Kenner. Wouldnt recommend Houma location to anyone.
Food and service was excellent as always. My favorite place to eat..
Great experience. The waitress was very kind to my girlfriend and I.Food was delicious and the drinks were great.
Very unprofessional staff . Upon arriving , no greeting was given, after a few minutes she asked how many and went to seat us . After requesting a booth , she then sat us and just walked away . We waited about 10-15 mins for someone to come to our table , and even then my husband had to call someone over only for them to say someone would be there shortly , with 4 staff members just standing talking up front . When no waters were offered , then finally the bartender came to take our table when by that time we decided to dine else where . Out of all the Copelands I have dined at , this one always seems to leave a bad taste in my mouth . Whether it’s the service or the food. Being a native , I would love to see this establish take true pride in their restaurant and guest . Also, the website states brunch is Saturday and Sunday , yet we were told it is not on Saturday after waiting for the menus to be given to us, so that should probably be updated Disappointed to say the least .
The food is always really excellent, the staff are always so sweet we usually get Ellen and shes just the BEST! She always remembers my childrens meal and knows we put their order in before anything else so they arent waiting so I appreciate her always remembering us and taking good care of my family when we eat there. Were usually here once a week! Highly recommend.
I always enjoy eating here. It was my first time ordering a burger and it was good. The burger was a nice size, I could only eat half. I also shared spinach artichoke dip with my friend and it was good. I had the Mardi Gras Punch which tasted like it was just juice and not a mixed drink to me. We had a good and friendly waitress so it was a good experience for me.
Updated 2/26/22.. The place has been freshend up! No more worn out carpet!!! Yayyy! And the food is as good as ever! The Bananas Foster on praline crust is to die for! As always food is rich and delicious! Got to try the crawfish toast appetizer!
Mu wife and I ordered the crawfish bread appetizer - it took them 20 minutes to it to us and the inside was very cold - not cooked. I ordered the jambalaya pasta. Not only was it basically chef boy r d with bland meat and bland everything - it was the worst Jambalaya Ive ever had. I wont go back.
Absolutely delicious, as always! Even had a slice of cheesecake (white chocolate strawberrythat was fabulous!
We always have enjoyed this establishment. Its always clean and food is always delicious! Plus we got dessert and it did not disappoint! Our server was very friendly.
The fried bow tie appetizer was DELISH!The only thing is that I like my food hot. It only took me about 20mins to pick it up after ordering online. I still had to put it in the microwave. Thats all. Everything else was great though.
The food was pretty good, but this no longer feels like a really nice restaurant. Our server looked sloppy, and even though the restaurant was less than 50% full, she rarely visited our table. She asked us 3x how the food tasted, but we had to wait and flag her down to get silverware (after our food cameand drink refills. Not once did she ask “can I get you anything?” We ordered an appetizer which never arrived. My food was good, but I don’t think it’s worth the price anymore.
My wife enjoyed her birthday lunch here. Our server, Janelle, was nice and attentive. The food was flavorful. I only wish the potato soup I ordered was a little hotter. Other than that, it was a nice dining experience.
Great service and ambiance; you’ll be glad you went here instead of the big chain restaurants. The food was amazing! From the appetizers to the prompt, crisp refills and the delicious entrees you’re definitely going to like it here. You’ll probably enjoy your leftovers too because their servings are generous! A GREAT place to enjoy family, friends and some fantastic cajun cuisine.
I was very happy with the customer service here. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure my food was prepared properly because of my many food allergies. I was really thankful for that. Hopefully, one day they will have more options for people with food allergies.
We had the spinach artichoke dip, fried pork, and this is the chicken parmesan. Everything was super tasty and the portions were huge! Definitely looking forward to these leftovers.
Copelands is delicious! We always get the spinach & artichoke dip and chicken parmesan. It is the best!
Prime Rib Was Delicious. Always Welcome A Good Loaded Baked Potato. Amberjack was Awesome! Kids BBQ Chicken w/ Mac N Cheese disappeared very quickly out of there plates. The Cheesecake w/ Blueberries topped it all off for dessert. Great Family Supper For 4th Of July Weekend!!
I had a decent time. The crab stuffed shrimp were fried. I was hoping something more presentation like, but it tastes good enough. the mushrooms I liked the most . They were very tasty. Red beans are usually good new orleans style. Needed some coffee afterwards. I used the lagniappe card lastly. Not bad
Always a good time and good food! Love the happy hour and those crab stuffed beignets..OMG!!!😋😋 Also tried a "chocolate covered cherry" drink today, 1st time...Delicious!!!!!🍫🍒👌🏽
Love the hot crab claws appetizer! We had to ask for me sauce but the waitress was nice about it. We shared the steak labouchere and it was delicious but upsettingly not as pictured on the menu. The mixed drinks and desserts were on point. Overall great experience.
The food was excellent. The staff was pleasant also. We were celebrating a birthday and the area we were seated in was perfect.
I loved the deviled eggs but they changed them now they are super nasty. I kinda like the new menu however my food came out cold.
The crawfish bread is out of this world good! It was my 1st time eating there. The fried chicken was moist even the breast! I am definitely going to come back and try other dishes.
Great dinner with outstanding food and fun service. The atmosphere is really New Orleans and very clean. Drinks had a nice touch to them and reasonably priced. The spinach dip was very enjoyable along with many plate specials to choose from.
Food and Service is top notch! Our waitress Adrien was awesome! Elizabeth was awesome as well. Great Fried Chicken!
