Cool Blue Hole in Montego Bay

Was great when I visited years ago. Now it appears to have become overrun by hordes of tourists. Much of the rough beauty has been changed to accommodate visitors. Sad to see. Would give it one star today. Never going back.

One of our favorite stops on our cruise trip. Highly recommend if you like a little rush and refreshing water!

We had a wonderful experience here! It was our first time in Jamaica so we wanted to experience more than just the resort, and this was definitely worth it. The water is crystal clear and even though it’s cold, it feels amazing! I will advise that this is a very PHYSICAL activity, we didn’t know that going into it so it caught us off guard, if you’re not usually physically active it’s best to work out a few months before going. If you’re a good swimmer, but not a professional, I would recommend a life jacket. I can swim but your brain panics in the rapids and the life jackets would have been helpful, we were a little too new to this experience and did it without them. Also, DO NOT WEAR FAKE NAILS WHEN HANGING OFF THE ROPE! My dip nail broke off lol I probably wasn’t holding on correctly but just a warning for anyone who gets their nails done.This is a MUST for your trip to Jamaica!! Make sure you bring water shoes, get a lil more physically active, and you’ll have the best time! You’ll feel amazing afterwards and be grateful you got to experience something so beautiful. I hope I get the chance to visit again!

Dont worry if you cant swim, theres a lot of life guard plus a life jacket. I cant swim and I jumped in the deep end n the life jacket brought me up. "Hello! just relax." Thats what the lifeguard will tell u.

This is the best Blue Hole in Jamaica! The staff are wonderful & welcoming. They have experienced swimmers for those that need assistance, and even had a guy who dove in the water and found a ladies iPhone that she dropped in the water🤯😮 Ask for Trinii, she has the best sale items & brownies😉. Trinii is located by the jump platform (see 1st photoon the river.

Blue is one of the best maintain river attractions in Jamaica. I loved it there .Easy trailing and walking. A place for a beautiful mini adventure. Ask for tour guide TJ, he was very awesome and took pics and videos for us while we were enjoying ourselves. Great conversation and good people. Get yourself a clay massage while at it, will leave your skin glowing. Google maps does not have the exact location pin , but the people were very friendly. Highly recommended. Do it as a separate tour, more to enjoy the ambience, serenity to relax than an excursion.

I wish I could give no starts , the place is beautiful but my issue was with the employee that works the ticket booth he over charge me on 3 different occasions . Charged me 8k to get in the park 3 times the 4th time the owner only charge me 2k and kids enter free . Please be mindful of jamaica the people arent honest .Ps this is coming from a jamaican .

If I could give this place 0 star I would… If you are a local do not go to blue hole because apparently only tourists can get life jackets and life guard….. They said that locals will thief the life jackets so that’s why they don’t give it to locals…. So from my point of view they are saying that the locals should die

If your not brown or white you will be discriminated against. Very colorist business. Locals should not support them. Literally saying locals lives dont matter when they asked for proper life vest.

Went to Blue Hole for the first time with my family & it was an amazing experience! I went twice as I was in Jamaica. We had the best tour guide ever. Ask for Coco when you get there. 🙌🏾🙌🏾He was very attentive to my families needs throughout the entire time & made us feel calm even though most of us were scared to jump from the falls. Also provided clear instructions on what to do to ensure safety. He gave my sister and I a limestone bath which makes your skin nice and soft! If you don’t want to do something, he doesn’t force you.Make sure to bring cash with you, as there are small shops throughout the falls, wear swim shoes and at the end, tip your tour guide well for their great service!It was definitely a nice experience and a nice time to cool off in the hot Jamaica sun! Remember to ask for Coco the tour guide!

We had a fantastic experience at this place! Not only was it beautiful and refreshing, but the tour guides and life guards were amazing. They carried my two young kids most of the way to keep them safe. I don’t even think I could have done that. Highly recommend!

The Cool Blue Hole was really “cool”! Family and I loved it. Did the tube float and zip line as well. Lots of fun. We purchased our excursion through Beaches. Chukka was the tour operator. The worst part of the tour was the meal served at Jimmy Buffett’s, I would have rathered go back to the resort than wasting an hour there.

This was a fun, albeit short, excursion. The experience was tarnished by the fact we messaged in advance to book and were quoted a local rate of JMD$1000 but when we arrived we were refused this rate because we were not born in Jamaica, despite having proof of residency and a Jamaican work permit/ID. For US$25 pp (and the hefty tip you are obligated to give the guidethis is a pricey and short activity but it did get the adrenaline flowing briefly !

Was a bit difficult to find as we went ourselves without a tour. Theyre are life jackets available and guides. Think it was about 1200 JMD to get in. Youre NOT allowed in without a guide. Theyre is a mud bath available with massage. Beautiful river and two waterfalls to jump from. The current does lead into a river so it can be strongThere is a rope to swing from, bar near by the blue hole and staff nearby.

10/10 I went today with my husband & I had a great time. The views are so beautiful!! Our tour guide was super dope, his name was Tyrone. He was def patient & cautious with us. He knew the perfect spots for us to take gorgeous pictures too. Honestly, I was terrified to jump in the water. The guide def talked me through it and jumped in the water with me. Coming from a non- swimmer, I def had a blast!!

This is a must. Ask for TJ the tour guide. He was amazing. He also gave me the mud which makes your skin so smooth and I brought it back home with me. Of course we tipped generously.

Hight Recommended!! Once youre in St. Ann or St. Mary, this is must stop its an amazing sport to destress and enjoy what nature has to offer and for all the dare devils it has extreme jumps one of which i personally had to summon the courage to do. PS. If u decided to go there make sure you ask for Odane the tour guide hes a very good one

Was the first experience we did in Jamaica—-and it was so much fun! The water is clear and cool! Lovely spot for some adventurous water fun! The guides make sure to help you get as much pictures as you’d like and make you feel safe the entire time!

We luved it! Roshawna and Ramón were the best. We all felt safe and had a history lesson!

FABULOUS experience. Not for anyone who cannot manage the climbing or swimming in rapids. The jump is a little daunting. But so much fun!

The Blue Hole was the best experience I had in Jamaica. The tour guide Brennon was very courteous, careful and informative (was recommended to me by a Trini who visited before)The place was breathtaking. The rivers, waterfalls, the Blue Hole 😍 everything wow.I even got a mud bath from mud that the tour guide got from behind the waterfalls. Also note, "I took the jump" I did it afraid 😃

My adventurous teenagers loved the blue hole jumping. Beautiful spot, safe and trustworthy guides. Take cash to buy souvenirs, beers along the trail and fresh local jerk chicken. Water shoes are a must so take them too. We had to buy some which ate up all our extra cash so go prepared.

Loved the entire excursion! Shout out to Dr. Fun for the private tour (book with him directly; Google Dr. Fun tours in Jamaica). If you book with your resort your time will be limited. A private tour will include the excursion as long as youd like, a city tour, and personalized experience.

The hike up and tour given by the A1 team was simply amazing! The ladies/men and children in our group that jumped from the cliff/waterfall did so fearlessly, the guys were onpoint to assist if needed! Just a beautiful place and a beautiful experience!

This is a must!!! My husband and I loved every minute of this experience Its beyond beautiful! Our guides were very nice! You jump in multiple areas and for the end Its the highest jump! Absolutely Amazing! We definitely want to come back!

It was an amazing experience. Great customer service..Big up my tour guide Damani he was so patient with us..Definitely going back. The swing jump off..the mud bath..the high jump off and the jacuzzi is a must try..loved it❤❤❤

Great guides to take you through. More hiking than anticipated but its not difficult. Water is refreshing and plenty of jumping spots!

The tour guide was awesome. He offered to take all our photos as well. Views were spectacular. Waterfalls, clif diving and rope swing available. This place was amazing.

The best experience of my trip. I wanted to do Dunns but, everyone is always doing that and all you do is climb the falls but, this was an experience within itself. Different water pools and falls to jump into; not too mention how beautiful it is. With an added hike through the list green forest as well. And lets not forget a limestone clay body mask that will make your skin glow

The river is very beautiful and there is a little hike through the forests which have lush greenery and flowers.The only change I would make to this place is to give the facilities a little facelift and some upgrading.

Great trip didnt get to experience it all and I couldnt swim but I can tell you anytime spent there was worth it, people are friendly the up and down the falls was a journey on its own

Beautiful place. The tours are guided which is a little annoying because it seems you cant just venture on your own and have to do what they guide says. But well worth a visit. I did the walking down a waterfall and jumping, it was fun but didnt feel very safe, so I wouldnt recommend it unless youre just that kind of person who likes risky adrenaline boosts.
