Constantinople Restaurant - Turkish restaurant in Thala, Tunisia
Great value authentic Turkish cuisine in a lovely atmosphere
Lovely food and staff will definitely visit again next time we stay in Brighton had the set menu very good value for money recommend 100%
Amazing place.Nice decor, great service. We were made feel welcome from the minute we walked in.Great food! Absolutely delicious! The place has its charm and I would defo eat there again!
Had spotted this place from the bus and decided I must visit, especially as a frequent visitor to Istanbul. Didn’t disappoint- Turkish wine was fabulous and extremely good value , as was the food. Will definitely be returning with more friends - great staff too, very attentive and friendly.
It was overcrowded and busier than what the staff could handle. The waitress left us in the middle of taking our order and seated another couple, taking their order first. Then one of the waiters took the rest of the order but he forgot a few things. They didnt clear the starter plates before bringing the mains, so it was a mess. The waitress took photos of the guests without asking for permission. The food was great though. Just not a place for an intimate, relaxing dinner.
Visiting friends in Brighton this weekend and they have been raving about this place. Now I know why, amazing food, atmosphere and fantastic service.
Got to love this restaurant, so busy gave us an order pad to write up our order, then had the food out in 5 mins - every staff member was brilliant- food and value on point
What a gem this place is! Authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Every dish we ordered was exceptional. Very happy and highly recommend.
Delicious food. Intimate atmosphere. Family vibes. Great spot brothaaaaa
Superb food, good menu choices, great atmosphere attentive and friendly staff.
First visit and we were impressed with the food, service and the ambience . Great choice of options as well
Absolutely fantastic food, amazing value. We had the 3 course menu and a couple of beers and it came to under £53 pp. Even though it was busy the owner took time to explain each course and the options. Great service. Put it on your list of restaurants to visit.
Food and service here is excellent!I highly recommend this place to dine in.I was delighted with menu choices. My friend and I shared our starters, I recommend the no.7 with the Paçanga Borek & Arnult Cigen just delicious. The Tilipia fish stew & Fish Kokorech are incredible also. I look forward to when I can return and try more of the menu. Big Thank you to the staff for a lovely experience 🙏
Great meal at Constantinople! Lovely good, good service, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced - we’ll be back!
Lovely food, chilled atmosphere, excellent service. Went for a mid week meal and it was busy so book in advance if possible.
Great food, great service. Very accommodating to birthdays
Lovely atmosphere and vibe, cute sized restaurant, but the mezzes are really underwhelming - overpowering flavours everywhere, and the large dishes are super greasy. I thought it was going to be my new favourite place, but unfortunately one time was more than enough. Good luck in the future, I hope you can make some major changes.
This restaurant we found and passed by when we came from Brighton 360 degrees tower. The meals are tapas style and they also have a limited choice of main courses, however choices for anybody. The day we ate here (on a Thursday), they offered a two deal menu, two mezzes (tapasand a main course for a very reasonable price. The mezzes and main courses were very delicious! Tasty food with delicious ingredients.
Considering the place wasnt busy, I thought it was slow service. Still 5 stars, cause the food blew my mind. Had the x factor. Ive eaten lots of Turkish food. This didnt taste good. It tasted amazing, and its been a while since I have had amazing, but this was definitely it.The flavours were perfect, and it tasted like it was both due to it being done well, but also using proper fresh ingredients, even where it may not be expected.Even the side salad was super flavorful, which signals to me that they truly care about the quality of their products.Id recommend this place for sure.
Every time I come here I enjoy quality tasty food . Highly recommended.
Lovely and amazing food! Went there as part of a wedding celebration and it was such a good experience! Highly recommend it to everyone.
Wonderful romantic dinner last Saturday evening, fantastic friendly staff, delicious food, lovely wine too. Absolutely 1st class experience. The mixed grill was so tasty. Will be back
A friendly welcome and atmosphere. Highly recommended choosing several options off the tapas/ mezze menu. They have a discount offer if you make 4 selections. Each one was different and delightful in its own way. The mains were also very tasty.
Honestly deserves 10 stars out of 5. Excellent vegetarian options, well priced food with great offers and tonnes of selection. The staff were all so lovely and the complementary dessert just hit the spot!! You need to visit Constantinople if youre visiting Brighton. And you need to keep going again and again! :))))
Quite simply the best value for money. Great food, excellent service and a good location near Brighton seafront.
Best Mediterranean meal ever!3 of us went for dinner and both the dinner and the service was exceptional. Pastry rolls with feta cheese, baba ghanoush and Lamb shank was the best we’ve had. Service was excellent regardless of the busy environment. Definitely will be returning very soon.
Fantastic, affordable restaurant with a million delicious options, each better than the last. Ended up sharing some small plates with my friend and loved everything we tried. Highly recommend!
Some things in life are overrated, but the Constantinople Restaurant is certainly not one of those things. We had an incredible meal, from the wonderful drinks to the delicious mezze dishes and main portions. The decor is lovely and the service is fantastic as well. For a wonderful evening in Brighton, definitely come to Constantinople Restaurant!
What a warm family restaurant with brilliant food! We booked a table and were very warmly welcomed. I had the vegetarian and vegan platter but we also had meatballs and chips for the kids, and a meat main. Lovely experience.
Honestly one of the best Turkish/Med restaurants I’ve been to in the UK!The whole vibe of the place is lovely, with artwork and prints up on the wall. The staff are so welcoming, attentive, and professional, and the food… The food is delicious!! There are so many interesting and complimentary mezze and entrée choices to pick from, and the meat from the grill is some of the best I’ve tasted. You won’t be disappointed eating here. Be sure to book to make sure you get a table. When we arrived at 7pm having booked ourselves it was nearly empty but quickly filled up with people that had booked. Clearly the continental way of eating dinner later is making its way to the UK, or at least Brighton.
Excellent Turkish/Kurdish food - probably the best I’ve had outside of Turkey: extremely good value if you opt for one of their deals in particular (we ordered far too much food but did our best!and the waiter who served us was super friendly, knowledgable about the food and a great laugh. Will definitely be back!
Popped in for an evening meal with colleagues. It was excellent. Food was delicious. Service was great.
We were running very late for our booking, although they pushed us along a little they were very polite about it. Food and wine was excellent and very cheap. Would definitely return.
Visited last night, fantastic food, attentive service and special in so many ways. There is a reason why this place is voted for the best Turkish restaurant in Brighton. In fact, it was much more than a Turkish restaurant that we had been before. Mixed mezze platter to share, then we both had lamb shish with amazing rice and tzatziki. Both were very tasty. Gorgeous home-made pita bread and very welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely little cafe type place. Originally stopped here for a coffee break, but were so taken with it, we circled back for dinner. Cosy, friendly atmosphere with delicious food.
I had a fantastic birthday meal with my friends at Constantinople. The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive. I was offered homemade dessert with a candle in the end which was a very sweet surprise. Such a thoughtful act indeed! I was very happy to be able to book on a very busy evening. The booking via their website was very straightforward. After a few minutes of the booking, I had a confirmation text. Picked this place based on amazing reviews on both Google and here, it did not disappoint at all. We cook forward to visiting Constantinople again very soon.
What a great find, very authentic. Lovely staff, great food & reasonable prices. Recommend booking it was busy by the time we left.
This place is fantastic. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Prices are very reasonable and loads of choices if you are vegan or vegetarian. Wine is very good. The food is just fantastic, really very well done. Honestly one of the best Turkish restaurants Ive ever been to outside of Turkey! Also recommend booking through their own website as they respond so quickly and are very accomodating. 10/10.
One of the best restaurants in Brighton!Ive had lunch there yesterday with my partner and his mum. The service was absolutely impeccable, the brother and sister (I think?who helped us where really lovely and they never pressured us, even if we stayed there until almost 5pm.The food was absolutely amazing, every single plate was filled with colours, paired with tasty flavours and beautiful textures. Every single plate, from starters to the mains, were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the fired halloumi with sesame seeds. The bread and the water with mint leafs were an amazing touch too.Lastly, the atmosphere (incredibly important for mewas impeccable, the music was lovely, the light was right and the place smelled amazingly. The owners were so lovely to write down the name of a song after I tried to Shazam it and couldnt find it.At the end, one of the owners was so incredibly kind to offer us some small desserts on the house, these as well were absolutely brilliant.Honestly one of the best food experiences Ive had in Brighton, highly recommended and I will 100% go back.
A lovely, little independent/family run business. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced (definitely ask the waitress for her recommendations- the 3 course deal is unbelievable value for money! Thoroughly recommend.
Great atmosphere and an amazing selection of Middle Eastern dishes. £18,95 for a 3-course meal including 2 mezze, 1 entree and 1 main dish. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options and both familiar and more adventurous dishes. Loved it and will go again!
Gorgeous restaurant. Excellent value on the 3 course meal choice. We had a bit of everything, easy to share. Turkish white wine was recommended and we really enjoyed it.Borek with feta and spinach were a highlight, plus the lamb kofte.Lovely friendly service - thank you!
We eat out a lot, this restaurant was the best we have been to in a long time. The food was excellent and the dishes we had, couldnt be faulted. The ambiance was nice, completely unpretentious and the service was friendly and professional.Highly recommended.
Wonderful atmosphere. Very relaxed. Staff was polite and efficient. Hummus and Tzatziki were delicious. I ordered the mixed grill and it was amazing. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Highly recommended.
Great food and very lovely staff.Had mixed grill - chicken and lamb shish kebabs and meatballs. Beautiful!
Delicious authentic Turkish food with friendly and helpful staff. They have Efes but unfortunately no Turkish çay.
This isn’t a typical kebab shop! It’s so much more…. I would give them 6 starts if I could! With its unique menu, hospitality, music and warmth it’s a piece of Istanbul vibe in the middle of Brighton.Sophisticated, oriental but urban! On the menu, they are focusing on western Turkish cuisine. Homemade style meatballs, salads, meze (tapasstraight from Greek/Turkish influences that difficult to find outside of Istanbul. They are all yummy and fresh. The prices are middle range but on the cheaper side when considering the quality and service. Plus, they made menus to make it even more affordable!I tried meatballs with eggplant sauce on top! It was epic. During the dinner we’ve been pampered with treats and after dinner a dessert from the house. It was such a lovely vibe that’s hard to find!
My husband booked a date night on a Thursday, we didnt know what to expect but I have to say great food, great service loooved the Turkish wine. Very recommended
Got 5 Mezze and a Main for a takeaway and they were all amazing! Really tasty and used some less common flavours, including celeriac and pomegranate. The dishes are all Ottaman and were authentic, similar to some food Ive eaten in Serbia and Bosnia. Good portion sizes and friendly owner too! Thanks
Ok.. hands down the best food I have had in Brighton!!!! Wow!! Still am under the influence of the smell, the taste, the beauty of what I had there. We do not even have such great food in Athens! And even though I know in Istanbul you have 20.000.000 people am sure that such great quality of food would be hard to find there..The place is run by a brother and a sister of Kurdish descent. Brother, his name is Medo, is cooking in the kitchen. And Ozzie (the sisteris helping the customers to choose their food.Because I am Greek the dishes were familiar so it was easy enough to choose..We ordered about 5-6 meze and two mains..Some things I had never had before like the roasted pumpkin or the Celeriac cooked in orange juice..They were just out of this world..Another favorite was the super tiny meatballs in tomato sauce.. in general I was just blown away by the quality of the fresh products that they were using.. also the spices they were using were sooo to the point and the balance of the flavors was just there! Kudos to Medo for his work!!! The mains as well were stunning!! We had the lamb meatballs with aubergine and potatoes served with tomato sauce and thick Greek yogurt and also we had a simple chicken skewer that was served with salad and rice.. how on earth they managed to have such a tasty chicken, soft and juicy was beyond me, really it was..anyway... I have to thank Ozzie as well for taking such good care of us.. she is the sweetest and so knowledgeable about the area and her people! She is doing a lot of research in 5 different EU countries about Kurdish women there as well and so she travels a lot so maybe you will not catch her there in the restaurant at all times.Am just talking too much I know but this place is really a find.. a wonderful gem and I feel so blessed I was able to savor the wondrous tastes it had to offer.NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!
