Stunning view, entertaining drive
Driving from Dingle to Brandon (to walk to Sauce Creekwe came up to this stunning sight which we hadnt even planned ! Driving up I quickly gathered that it would be amazing but getting to the pass blew my mind ! The sight on both sides was astounding ! (best to have extra clothes because it can get quite windy !)An absolute stop if youre going to Sauce Creek...
If you enjoy cars and give something with a bit of oomph, then do not miss driving up this.
Awesome views, spend great evening❤
A road carved out of the edge of a cliff that leads into Dingle...
Wow, what an amazing coastal/mountain pass drive
There are breathtaking views from this point, well worth a visit.
Windy narrow roads, enroute to Dingle , beautiful panoramic view of green hills , valleys and waterfall.
As wet as ever. Nice road, be careful, inexperienced drivers are lost on single track with passing points.
Lovely pass in the area near Dingle. The views from here are amazing and there are sheep and goats roaming all over. The road is advertised as being a bit scary but don’t let that stop you. There are sections only wide enough for one vehicle but there is a wall so you needn’t be scared of falling off the cliff. You may be held up for traffic or by sheep but please take the drive it is with it.
Fantastic experience, I dont recommend in a large vehicle!!! The road is narrow and one vehicle at a time , so good will and patience is the key , but its worth every second of it , such sights youll never see again .☘️💚🇮🇪
amazing view but need to be careful driving part of it as only one car can pass
It’s a really good view from the top easy to drive or cycle to from the Dingle side. If you are thinking of driving from the Tralee side or the Dingle side it a very narrow single track road. With sheer drops if you are a nervous driver or driving a car your not sure how to reverse don’t do it. This is because vans and camper vans use and they cannot reverse so you will have to. If the mountain too looks like it’s covered in mist, again don’t drive it because visibility will be almost zero. So no view and if you meet someone you might be forced to reverse quite a long way. Trucks sometimes ignore the 2Ton weight and width limit and get stuck for hours sometimes days, causing huge tailbacks. Huge tailbacks happen even on a clear day in summer as drivers who can reverse get stuck or worse end up damaging their hire cars due to lack of experience. If your a city driver and have no experience of very narrow roads with a sheer drop on one side and a cliff face in the other, think twice or go up early or late in the day when traffic will be light.
Gorgeous view from the top.
Great drive, easy parking. Great views some single track road in parts.
Definitely a must visit place while going to dingle. The drive has the most scenic views and enjoyable. Drove in fog and rains , wow was the reaction driving cutting the fog and amazing to see clouds in touching distance.
Just Great trip :)
Its breath taking. The winding roads are adventurous and the view was just awesome. Its short but worth the drive and a small rest stop to catch your breath.
Great views. Small road in one part. Worth it. Breathtaking.
Part of the Wild Atlantic Way and a great road for motorcyclists. Its quite a short pass though.
⛰ Conor Pass Lookout. It was a great ascent from the Tralee side. The weather was scorching hot but this mountain was cool and breezy. 😎 They say if you’re cycling, the view is usually better going from Dingle to Tralee, not Tralee to Dingle. However the road could be very narrow so both vehicles and bikes need to proceed with caution.
Saw it in a heavy rain, and still the views were beautiful.
I havent been up to the Conor pass in a few years but its always a spectacular drive with views for miles around a waterfall in the middle of the road literally half way up but be advised not a place to take any tall or really long vehicles as there are tight bends with overhanging cliffs up near the waterfall
Great views, but the road is a bit treacherous. It’s very narrow in places & there are sheep 🐑 on the road in other spots. Welcome to the west of Ireland 🇮🇪
Fun drive. The south side is wide and curvy. The north side is narrow. Some of it looks precariously perched on the cliff side. It is amazing how narrow the Dingle peninsula looks from the top. Dont forget to check out the lake just a bit down the north side.
I loved it....Enjoyable drive.....
Ropey enough little road, recommended to a confident and experienced driver as it can be down to a single lane at times and may require some navigating if other cars are coming the other way. Still feels like a safe road though. Views are fantastic. If you are looking for an alternative route between Dingle and Stradbally, you can travel via Inch Beach which is also a nice scenic road and will only increase your journey from about 25 minutes to 45 minutes, if you have done Conor Pass and would like a more relaxed drive next time.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery but you are full of adrenaline getting near the top
Brilliant place. Make sure to walk up the hill along the fance for a stunning views.
Beautiful scenic drive thats well worth the time to make it. Viewing area at summit. Care needs to be taken as road extremely narrow in places. The warning signs for camper vans etc. are there for a reason.
Absolutely stunning scenery at this lookout point. The landscape is spectacular! Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
Beautifully stunning view from the top of Connor Pass. You might get to see some sheep on the side or in the middle of the road.
Absolutely must see!Be careful when driving! Extremely narrow road where you must pull over for oncoming traffic can be very intimidating.
Single track climb from Tralee with the roads towards to Dingle being more wide, dont miss the small lake nearby next to the route after a small climb on foot.
Stunning views of the valleys and mountains of Kerry. Narrow roads lead you over this pass, but there is verges you can pull over into for photo shoots
Great scenic road on the way to Dingle. To enjoy the trip and unbievable views a good weather is a must. During summer time very busy, hard to drive as some parts of the road require only one line of cars 🚗 to go through
A must stop when driving from Dingle to Adare. Great view in a good day. A small section of the road after the pass is very narrow, drive with care.
Absolute brilliant. The pass is filled with surprises on your way.Breath taking views and make sure you stop by near the waterfall if you fancy some pictures.Theres ample parking space at the top and if you get lucky, you might be able to spot an ice cream truck and have a nice treat for yourself.
If you want to experience the full Dingle Peninsula I recommend staying in the Ashe Hotel in Tralee. Its 4 stars without the heavy price tag and Dingle is only 30 mins away! Head from Tralee and go straight up to Conor Pass. What a view! Words cant even describe how breath taking it is. The photos just dont do it justice! Come back Slea Head Drive and be more amazed. Take the turns handy as the roads are so narrow. Pause at the little corners so everyone can pass. Watch the weather forecast by the hour on the day you are going as the weather is so changeable. You could start out with the sun splitting the stones and end up 30 mins later looking at nothing but clouds. Worth the drive from anywhere!
The pass towards Dingle starts unspectacular. The waterfall shortly before its peak looks small but its definitely worth stopping there and climbing up the hill. There is no path or safety measures but after a 5 to 10 minute climb, you can view a plateau surrounded by walls which is amazing. The view down the valley is great. After that, the road gets very narrow and cars have to give way or reverse. The top can be extremely windy but the view down into both valleys is stunning.
When you are in Dingle you need to drive there, stunning views, absolutely beautiful pass in the mountains. Conor Pass shows real face of Irish wild nature. Be careful while driving on the narrow corners. You can meet there some sheeps walking free without any hassle. You can enjoy small waterfall in the half way down, if you are not afraid you can climb above the waterfall and enjoy the stunning view.
Incredible views when its clear. Drove up from the Tralee side when it was in cloud and was quite nerve wracking navigating the narrow climb. Came back from the Dingle side when it was clear and was awe inspiring!
Crazy drive to Dingle from Tralee. The pass is a very narrow road over the mountain. There are some beautiful view to see if you make it to the top. There are viewing points that alloww you to pull over and take great photos. The one at the top allows you views of both sides of the mountain: Dingle on one side, the valley on the other.
Lovely views of the north and south dingle peninsula from high up. Be mindful of the single lane road heading north from the pass. Other drivers are very good of giving way when its very tight.
Awesome drive through the mountains, between Tralee and Dingle. I wouldnt go any other way. No busses or large trucks aloud. Views are breathtaking views and fun roads.
High score for the scenic view. Especially thinking about reaching it in your car. 5 minutes from Dingle center. Lower score on the high traffic and lack of parking. Why do the ice cream man stand here for? With his burnin petrol? Dingle community stop this. Excellent start for hiking from the parking. No WC. Parking also along in the road.
A beautiful road to drive along, though be warned the road is narrow and during tourist season pretty busy. If youve driven to Dingle for the day, it is worth detouring in your way back to include this place. The views are 360 and can see for many miles on a clear day.
My wife and I got lucky and it was a perfectly clear day! The views were absolutely beautiful! The little waterfall is a great spot to stop but the very top is amazing. You can hike a bit up the sheeps path to get a more breathtaking view. Be sure to pay attention ahead of you when driving up the pass because it becomes so narrow that you have to wait at the slightly wider points to be able to allow cars to pass that are going the opposite direction.
Got the opportunity to experience the Conner pass with clouds and clear skies, Ive been there on both occasions. An amazing place. The views are overwhelming, well, on a clear day. And take care on the road. Theres only enough clearance for one vehicle, with some placed points to pull over if you are driving to dingle.
I was so impressed by the beauty of the landscape and lakes. The waterfall is very wonderfull even if it is not so high. We where hiking up the waterfall and was able to see a hidden glacier lake & high mountains that rise from the foggy weather.
