Spacious outpost with a large beer selection serving American grill grub in a cathedrallike space.
Congregation Ale House Pasadena Chapter in Glendale
Description
Privilege
Good vibes, good drinks, and they have free parking in the lot. But, food is pricey and portions feel small. Overall, I really like this place.
MoreGreat beer selection on tap, plenty of seating. Note that from 8 am to 6 pm most of the parking stops are reserved by nearby businesses, so parking could be an issue.
MoreStopped by before headed to the Rose Bowl for UCLA game. Good food, good drinks cool atmosphere.
MoreThis is a pretty decent sized place with a neat ambience and indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend outdoor seating because the indoor was just packed and had a deafening level of noise. They have two very large menus one for food one for beers and other beverages. There are some vegan options but not a ton. Vegetarians have more options. Mostly meat eating oriented. The people behind the bar were friendly and helpful when taking our order. You see yourself and you get a number and they bring you your food. Ours came in a reasonable amount of time and it seemed pretty fresh. Typical bar fair like tater tots french fries burgers. Some really good beers to choose from of many different types. The actual folks wandering around clearing the tables and bringing things seemed pretty few and far between and very overwhelmed. I dont know if perhaps they were short-staffed that night or if something else was going on or if it was a chronic issue. Theres plenty of parking in a well parking lot. The place is also right next to the gold line so you could take public transport if youd like. Free water is available in a container you serve yourself. I would go back but its not something thats high on my must go again list
MoreGreat spot. Always love hanging out here watching baseball games.
It’s fine. Not particularly amazing if you don’t drink
Congregation Ale House was a delight! The food and drink names are very on theme and clever. The staff were all very nice. The food was delicious! The pizza crust was fluffy and flavorful, the tots were perfectly crispy, the chicken sandwich was delicious, the pretzel was salty, warm and dunking in the cheese sauce was a chefs kiss. I had the forbidden fruit beer, it was tart, fruity and crisp! Free parking in a large lot, located very conveniently! Would recommend and plan on coming back!!
MoreNice happy hour spot; good munchies. Friendly servers lafter first ordering at counter.
MoreThey have a vegan "Beyond" burger so that & a Guinness & Fries!!! Nice wait staff.
MoreThis place never disappoints. The staff here is super friendly even when theyre busy. The food here is great and I just love the vibe here.
MoreGreat selection of beers, and a good menu. Location / neighborhood is nice as well. Only downside is the parking, which is limited.
MoreLove this place. Great food and wonderful service.Trivia Night on Wednesday Nights is a blast. Bring your friends and answer fun questions to win prizes. Drink and play Trivia. What better thing to do on a Wednesday Night!!!
MoreNice selection of beer and food! Indoor and outdoor seating.
Great gastro pub in Pasadena for beer lovers. Some guest taps keep things new and interesting on a seasonal basis. Great stop after work or for some trivia night
MoreI couldnt tell u how good the food was 1. I didnt get any food because we were in a whole softball team and they saw us and they said sorry kitchen closed and when we see them making them my teammates food. So I dont recommend
MoreFood was great, need to try again the Beer selection is to vast to say I I found one I really like.
MoreChill spot to have a beer and great food. I love that they have framboise on tap. I’ve been here several times and each time tried different items from their menu. Never disappointed in the quality of their food and selection is great. I’ve tried their duck and bacon sausage and it hit the spot with a great beer. Also have tried their burgers and was really satisfied with the overall size and flavors.
MoreThe burgers are so delicious especially when you pair it with an order of rapture tots.
MoreBest time, great staff, good food and drinks,
The atmosphere is great, parking is somewhat limited, staff are friendly and provide great drink suggestions. Good selection of beer, some are staples and some are guest offerings.
MoreFun selection of beers and finger foods. I love the theme here. Love that happy hour (aka masswas all day Monday! The cheese sauce with their pretzels or fries is a must!
MoreI really enjoy eating and drinking at Congregation and the Pasadena location is no exception. Clean environment, chill vibe, good selection of beer and a few select cocktails and surprising delicious food. A perfect place for a date or hand out with friends.
MoreExcellent selection of beers that revolve. Currently has Pliny the Elder... they also serve cocktails for people that dont drink beer. Top tier bar eats are served as well. House made Pretzels, nachos, garlic parm fries. 10/10
MoreWent here later in the evening to meet up with some friends and its was great. They have a wide variety of beers and spirits, a lot of local brews on tap. Food was fantastic and very fast service. Went I went in they were not as busy with only about 10-20 people.
MoreCool spot in Pasadena for some craft beer! The stuff they brew is good stuff! You cant go wrong with a Pint of Cheer. Upscale bar food is tasty, great place to gather with friends and family. They also have a kids menu. Will definitely be back.
MoreSeveral delicious drink options. The Ritten in the Dark Stout is a must try. They have amazing appetizers. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries and the service was outstanding. Will most definitely be coming again.
MoreCute little brewhub in Pasadena with other locations in Long Beach and Azusa. Solid brewskis 👍🏽
MoreMy family and I came here for the first time to get some dinner and some beers. I decided to check it out based on the good reviews people had left and they were spot on. The food was very good and fairly priced! They had a very large selection of beers to choose from. But the best part of our night was the service we received from the staff. There werent many people working, so everyone was hustling and they were super friendly and helpful! I would definitely go back to this place!
MorePretty good food choices as bar food goes. There’s a frequently rotating beer list and I’ve tried many beers over the years and they are always great. Full bar also and they have a half dozen cocktails.
MoreGood for happy hour. Lots of beers on tap; but they’re mostly IPAs. Dog-friendly patio and outdoor seating with lots of room for my big dogs. By late afternoon even the picnic tables in the parking lot are shaded.
MoreI come here for the burgers. They are all artisan style with layers of delicious flavors. The tots are much better then the fries and they have several dipping sauces. They have a revolving draft beer menu and full cocktail bar so the options are great. This place is set up so you get in line to order your food and drink then you find your table. You can sit inside or outside with a cool view of the park across the street. Definitely a fun place to unwind with friends.
MoreGreat selection of beer. They used to have guest brewery appearances, which were always great.Dont know if it stopped due to covid, but hoping it comes back!Passion of the kolsch is a great house beer to start with.Very refreshing and crisp. All of their food is very delicious as well!Definitely recommend their burgers and loaded tater tots.Very chill spot to hangout at!Limited outside seating.
MoreGreat chill bar with a nice outdoor vibe helpful staff and just a nice place to grab a drink. The FIRST place Ive been to where the loaded nachos are actually loaded all the way to the bottom. Usually the toppings are just on the nachos at the top. Awesome! Recommend!
MoreCame here as a 2nd option as many of the other bars/restaurants in the area were closed by 9p. I think because of that, Congregation was pretty crowded with all tables being full. There wasnt a waiting list or hostess, so had to walk around until you saw someone leaving. It was tough as there wasnt any standing area to wait without feeling like you were standing over someones table. Even the line for the bar ended up standing next to someones table. It didnt take long to find a table though. After about 10 minutes, was able to hold a table while someone else was in line for drinks. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice selection of different beers for everyones preference on tap. Id estimate about 25-30 beers on tap. There was a good amount of foods from burgers, pizza, fries, sausage, salads, sandwiches, etc.. to share over some drinks. Cant remember the names, but tried about 3 different beers on tap, the sausage platter, and nachos. Food was pretty good and not just for pub food. Food was fresh and well-prepared.Overall, was a good experience. It would be nice if there was an area to stand without standing over someone elses table, but I understand space is always limited.
MoreCame here for drinks and appetizers...loved it!! The interior is so pretty! Loved the stain glass art and the arches. Plenty of seating. Great for groups! The food was great! Larger menu. We tried the sausage platter, the carnitas and truffle fries, and the hot wings. Everything was delicious!!There is a large drink menu with plenty of beer, wine and mixed drink options. I tried the basil gimlet and the white wine. Both were really nice!
MoreGreat atmosphere, really good but not too overwhelming selection of beers and a few craft cocktails with a simple, but functional and delicious menu of choices. Top that with reasonable prices and a great location and outdoor seating, I give it a solid 4.5 with 5 on the scale because I really had nothing bad to say. Excellent choice. Cheers
MoreThe price is acceptable for single sandwich which is about $9. Side is $6 but if you order combo you only need to pay $4. It’s still a little expensive for the side. WiFi is free. Water is free. I didn’t order bear but that’s what they are famous for. You can also watch sports here.
MoreNice chill out lively place in the corner of Del Mar and Raymond. The music is good and so is the ambience with a mixed local crowd. A variety of brews for beer lovers and have trivia nights on Wednesday’s.There is a small parking lot in front with ample parking spots but it can get really crowded.Altogether a nice place to chill out with your friends
MoreGood location. Next to the Metro station. Lots of draft beer/ale options. They brew locally in Azusa. A good selection of food. A bit on the pricey side. Tried the fish n chips. It was ok, nothing extra special.
MoreThis place is very cool and chill. Both their food and drinks are amazing! They have free parking and its in a nice area
MoreGreat sports bar that plays with the church theme. The decor plays along with the theme and creates a nice atmosphere.I was there in a Friday night and the atmosphere was good with a very attentive and friendly staff. The beer selection is large and covers the in house beers and mostly local options on tap. A beer fraisage has more special bottles available (Russian River and Cantillon were available when I was there). The food is typical sports bar fares and tastes very good.Fun place to grab a pint or two with friends.
MoreI love the music in this place. They mostly play rock and specially alternative rock. The beverages are okay, they have a wide range of craft beer, local beer and some imported beer. I did not like that the bathroom of men was quite a mess, so I hope they can keep it cleaner next time Im there. Being outside is good for taking since the music is not loud and they have heaters to keep an ideal temperature. Being inside is a good option too, but the music is a bit louder.
MoreAwesome place in Old Town Pasadena. Indoor and outdoor seating with a non-traditional service (minimum wait staff). Great selection of beer, wines and cocktails and the ribeye burger was awesome! Saturday afternoon crowd was great and the background music created a great atmosphere.
MoreGreat selection of beers, nice ambiance, and good selection of food. Not a very crowded place, especially after 10 pm. Good amount of seating available. You can seat either inside or in the patio area. Parking is not an issue. You usually find a few parking spots during peak hours.
MoreGreat staff! Awesome food. All around 5 stars 3rd time there and gets better everytime. Knowledge of beer is great and they have it!
MoreI have been to congregation a few times with different friends and it is consistently delicious. They have a decent number of ales on tap and many are very tasteful. We enjoy their burgers, chicken sandwiches and soft pretzels. We hope to try their wings next time! They have plenty of seating and the patio is great on a nice day.
MoreThis is the place in Pasadena to drink craft beer. Cool vibe. Awesome staff! Bar food at its best. Lots of available free parking. Love their A-Hazing Grace and Ritten in Black.
MoreGood selection of craft beers plus a full bar. Staff are attentive even though they seem disinterested in things overall. Got a round of the tater-tots with Sriracha ketchup and Pesto Ranch sauces. It went very well with the beers.
MoreNice vibe, good food, and - from what Ive heard from friends - a solid selection of drinks. Not to mention that the playlist that was blasting in the place my last few visits was perfect.
MoreOverall great experience. Good selection of beers which i enjoyed. We had a burger and chicken & waffles, both were delicious especially with their awesome dipping sauces. Staff was extremely friendly with food and beer selections.
