Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan

Going to start with the cons- be mindful of where your room is. There is a protest in the morning (we woke up at 5am and it wasn’t there, seems like maybe after 8amit’s a giant rat and very loud music. We didn’t hear it on the ocean side but I’m sure you hear it elsewhere. Also when I’m the room lock your doors and hit the privacy button. On our last day room service just walked right into our room when we were on the balcony. Toilets aren’t powerful either so be mindful. “Beach access” isn’t really a beach very small and rocky. Food is very pricey (we ate around locally instead).Pros- we really loved our ocean view room and the amenities of the hotel. The pools were beautiful and so were all the views from the hotel to the ocean. Eunice was absolutely amazing at the concierge desk and helped us set up our trip! You can Uber anywhere for cheap. We had a really great time!

We live on the eastern coast of Puerto Rico and decided to head into Condado for a short getaway. The hospitality at the Vanderbilt was refreshing. Walking into the resort you felt like a piece of history was left throughout the facility. Built in 1919 and restored in 2012 leaving that element of the 20’s throughout the lobby and main lounges and parlors.The staff was there for whatever you needed from the lobby to the pool and room services.Dining at 1919 was another experience worth the evening. Their 4 course menu has something for everyone tasteful and delicately plated along with wine pairing options is great choice while staying.The day spa was accommodating and very tranquil. We had massages and finished our trip poolside looking out at the Atlantic Ocean.We look forward to returning to this historic gem soon.

The definition of excellence and quality service. Clearly the staff was trained to smile and greet all guests regularly. Fantastic spa and fitness center - top notch. The pool service was really good, Manuel & David treated us like royalty. Seeing other people leave 1 star reviews on the same days we are staying here is a bit of a head scratcher. We have not had the negative experience of these other folks. Will surely revisit this property.

The staff was all amazing! I didn’t even have to open a door for our week stay! The room cleaning service was the best I’ve ever experienced they even organized and folded our clothes! The pools were heated. Everything was really clean! A wonderful place if you want to feel like royalty. Loved it, worth every penny.

This place is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it Im sure!Superb service! We only stayed for one night, but it was worth it. From the bellhops to the Ola bartenders, we were treated so well. Room was luxurious and a real treat after a trip into the mountains. Hope to come back!

The hotel is amazing! You’ll never get bored. There is plenty of activities/spaces to hang out, and different restaurants with drinks. The vibe is awesome, guests are having fun, hotel personal are always ready to serve and help.The one thing that I didn’t like was that we paid for a water front bedroom and it was a city view bedroom but it had some lake view very far away so they were considering that a water front view. We paid almost 200 dollars more per night for a water front, so be aware of that. BUT the hotel manager was extremely nice and helpful. He ended up giving us a ocean front suite, which was absolutely amazing!!! (Photos attached).Overall; we had a really good experience and I highly recommend!

Dear Condado Vanderbilt Hotel,Where to begin? A very warm welcome through the check in process by a polite young gentleman (Franciscoflowed to the arrival to our room which seemed perfect at the onset.A small problem with our room was noted in the bathroom, but didn’t take long to rectify. The very courteous staff was kind and understanding throughout the ordeal and promptly made things not just right, but AMAZING!My wife and I are humbled and incredibly grateful for the upgrade gesture and a cherry on top when who but Francisco shows up on night two with a complementary bottle of champagne to celebrate our belated 10 anniversary which was previously foiled by COVID. I barely remembered having mentioned it in passing as we arrived and ever so attentive he picked up on it and kept it close.I know hospitality teams are often trained to keep an eye out for those things, but the warmth with which this team executes their craft is wonderful and I can’t help but share the experience.We were so pleased we HAD to book an extra night! I can say with great certainty, this will be our go to hotel whenever we’re visiting our island home!Thanks to all the Condado Vanderbilt staff for a truly memorable experience!

The hotel is very luxurious with great amenities with the exception of Microwave. A luxury hotel should have a Microwave, definitely a must! The staffs were very polite and willing to provide recommendations to enhance your stay. During my stay, lot of celebrities were on the property and I am very shocked as to how people just minded their business without disturbing celebrities.

First time in PR and love this hotel! The service was impeccable. Make sure to take some time and visit the pool deck with the heated infinity pool. Theres also an adults only pool section but the few kids that were at the main pool, didnt bother us.Our stay was for 4 nights and 5 days. We arrived earlier than the check in time so we had lunch at tacos & tequila while we waited. Our suite was a city view on the second floor. If youre a light or early sleeper, then ask for a higher floor away from STK. The noise didnt bother us.All service requests were answered promptly and the staff were very courteous. Will definitely stay here next trip!

Our room is very comfortable with a large screen TV, beautiful view and large bathtub. Theres plenty of closet space and room service is excellent.The amenities are quite something also with several pools (including a beach view infinity pool as pictured), a beautiful hot tub with waterfall walls, a beach with hotel umbrellas and loungers. The entire place is stunning. We feel very lucky to have stayed here and look forward to our return in the future.

Not really 5 stars, to be honest. Probably worse than most of the 2-star motels Ive visited in terms of delivering services. They are great at sounding nice, but dont really deliver in terms of taking care of you.Air conditioner went out 3 out of 8 nights. No room change. Super frustrating to pay $600-700 per night for a suite and then not have privacy while people do maintenance work in your unit. Seriously, maintain your rooms on your own time.Always have to wait in line for breakfast despite prepaying for it since they double book their restaurant with other customers. They should just copy a budget motel and have customers seat themselves.Valet often ignored me in order to serve... More important people? They also didnt help me with my bags when I left.At check out the concierge took my money ASAP and didnt bother asking how was my stay or if they can offer a discount for their mistakes.Not going to come back based on this experience. The hotel itself is pretty nice, so its a shame.

This is a decent 3-4 star hotel. It’s most certainly not a 5 star one. The service is acceptable for a 3 star hotel, not a 5 star one. The coffee station needed to be refilled and we had to ask for that to be done. The breakfast had a 25 minute wait. The room has a sewer drainage sound and metal clapping noise throughout the night. The swimming pools were too cold and our request to warm them more was denied. The interesting switch-light to indicate room cleaning is needed went unheeded. Move onto another hotel if you’re looking for top notch services.

My stay at the Condado was absolutely amazing. The staff were kind, the place is well maintained and I enjoyed the amenities as well. My only issue was one of the employees tried to add stuff to my final bill which I caught and am hoping to be reimbursed. Other than that my experience was amazing and would highly recommend it to anyone going to PR
