Comptoir - Restaurant in San Marino, San Marino
Good food, service a bit patchy. First guy great, other two girls playing on their phones
Unfair for only 2 staff to serve such a big restaurant at peak times. For no fault of their own, service suffered. Good food and poor service.
it was a rly cool place and the staffs were rly nice.
Great food and service 🤸🏿♀️
Nice desserts
Amazing food and service! A little gem on the 4th floor. It worth trying.
My wife and I went to Comptoir Libanais on 13th March for lunch having been there a few times before. The food is good but I bit into something hard in my falafel which broke my tooth and caused a lot of pain. I couldnt find the stone/substance and didnt realise my tooth was broken until I got home.I reported the incident to the manager, Pontus, that evening. He had been sitting in the next table to us at the time we were there and said he remembered serving us. Pontus was polite, appeared to show some concern and said he would call me tomorrow to see how I was as I was still in some pain from the broken tooth. He said their independent food hygiene company, Food Alert would be in touch to help me with my complaint and help with the treatment/investigate what happened later that day or the next.I heard nothing over the next couple of days and called the restaurant at least 4 times but each time, the line rang and then gave an engaged tone and cut out. The following week, I went to the dentist for treatment and was told it would cost over £500 for the repair/cap.Exasperated I lodged a complaint through Comptoirs website.Their CEOs assistant called and assured me Food Alert would be in touch that day.No one contacted me. I chased the CEOs assistant. She didnt reply. I eventually heard from Food Alert 2 weeks later on the evening of 28th March.I contacted the CEOs PA again who finally replied last night to say the CEO was "out of the office" and tried to fob me off with a suggestion Food Alert were tasked with dealing with my complaint.Food Alert say their brief is to simply investigate the health and safety practices at the restaurant and were surprised Comptoir had suggested otherwise and even more so that Comptoir made no effort to help me. the Food Alert officer said she would take it up with Comptoir.I havent even asked for a refund of the costs of the meal or any other compensation just confirmation theyll cover the cost of the treatment.Today the CEOs assistant passed my complaint to their insurers which I found out about by email from their solicitors DWF who have told me not to contact Comptoir again and deal only with them/their insurers.I find it hard to believe Comptoir and their CEO care so little about taking responsibility for the injury Ive suffered and have been hoping I would just go away. I think their behaviour is disgusting and will be taking the claim further.I sincerely hope no one else has such a bad experience and would warn you to be careful as clearly they dont take enough care in preparing food at the John Lewis Store or follow through o their promises.I question where this company is going if their CEO doesnt even care about this type of incident. Perhaps Joh Lewis ought to investigate this as it does little to enhance their store if their customers risk injury at one of the restaurants they promote.
Have posted in the past but seems to have been deleted by mistake. A really great find that has become our family restaurant of choice. The childrens menu and the quality of the food are the best imaginable. My earlier posts named the managers and staff by name but each and every one of them is welcoming and does everything they can to make the experience the best there is. A special than to Marina and Manager Pontas for making every visit so special
Was looking forward tho the mixed grill and the chicken was incredibly dry.
Great way to see near and far.
Absolutely amazing service, fantastic cocktails and great food
Good selection of food, good veggie choices, it was a bit slow on service but it was a few days after Christmas and super busy. Good atmosphere and setting, you’ll forget you are inside John Lewis.
Great for tea and quick meal
Very enjoyable lunch in lovely surroundings with great views
That’s not a tabbouleh! The service was super slow
Great food, amazing style. Great service. I highly recommend you come here.
Tasteless not really more to say. Marinated chicken Taouk in water sauce?! Mainly I guess, each pressures of my fourk were reveling it as the absence of taste. Salad without sauce. Rice swimming in water, I did not aked for the water pot it was cooked in. Hommos with no aromas, basic waitrose one is better. You do expect plenty of taste in Liabnaise food. Here I got less than a pre-cooked meal microwaved at home, so whats the point?
BluewaterExcellent service. Fresh Med diet food with killer coffee.
Small or large portions you choose they make it fresh. Wonderful evocative flavours. Special treat for Ox St wandering.
Food tasty enough but service was slow, forgetful and inattentive.
Reliably good middle Eastern food at this Comptoi, based in John Lewis. Lovely rose lemonade. Wasnt too impressed with the house white.
Great food, good service
Amazing food. Great ambience. Loved it.
Normally enjoy this chain of restaurant however service wasn’t too good at this one
Excelent team, excelent food and excelent vibe. We Will back, again, again...
Decent food, although service can be iffy sometimes.
Platos muy ricos,buen precio
I am giving this 4 stars for three reasons:1. In the context of a department store I have never encountered a nicer setting (views over trees, spacious dining feeling).2. Everything was tasty and freshly prepared - again this is in the context of a department store - you cannot really ask for more.3. Service was again top notch considering we are in a chain and in John Lewis. You were not able to tell. Both the manager and our waiter came to check if we were happy with our food.Next time you are shopping in Oxford street and get the late midday hunger pangs - take thee to the fourth floor at John Lewis
Kids and grandma all loved it
Standard Lebanese fare, lovely décor. Good for vegetarians and makes a nice break from shopping.
Miejsce zdecydowanie warte zobaczenia;Ale przyda się mapa, strasznie łatwo się tam zgubić
The decorations and employees treatment was good. But the food wasn’t fresh which all the dishes had taken from the freezer to microwave as it is, I won’t visit it again
Food ok, surly staff, long wait, mixed up order. Recommend eat elsewhere. Reported to food safety for poor hygiene. At least one in three plates/cups had not been washed fully
Really good service in terms of recommendations. Quick service and good vegan options
very expensive
Great place & experience!
very nice
Delicious food, excellent service. The tap water is flavoured with mint & lemon. Have been here a few times and never been disappointed.
Great
Food tastes good, a bit pricey though. But I LOVE the theme and the interior design of the restaurants, makes you feel you are in a totally different world. The service is good too
Food was very nice, service was very slow.
Good
This has to be one of the worst experiences i have had in a while. We spent £25.88 and for this we got two small bottles of sparkling water and two falafel wraps. First of all the the wraps was terrible. The wraps was ridiculously small and the bread was dry. In fact the bread made up most of the wrap. It reminded of me of when you buy a wrap for lunch from the supermarket, it looks big and them you take it out the packaging and realize its just salad and bread. The falafel its self was dry and tasteless and extremely disappointing. For me £10 for a wrap is just over priced, but the fact that its not fresh, this is a disgrace. I mean come on its just chickpeas fried, it would take two minutes to cook it fresh. Then to top it off they microwaved it to heat it up which sucked that last bits of moisture out of the meal. Cut a long story short. After working a long day to earn money and them go and spend £25 on something which really was snack is a disgrace and would advise anyone to stay clear of such establishments over charging for this mediocre food.
It was a terrible experience. We had a champagne which is £55. I didn’t bother to check such a place could have such a price which was really a very cheap champagne. Service was really low class. Terrible seating and paid £146 for 4. Guys these price we can go 5* restaurant not in a shopping complex. It’s ruinbirthday with 3 others. Turkish Street food is better than them.
Good food
