I am not going to lie, the establishment can improve their furniture but over all their service was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful to us. I really enjoyed the variety of foods for breakfast and the one night we had dinner there my picky mom was very pleased. Mr. Amusa a lovely senior super kind to us. On day one when we arrived, we were able to check in by 7am and we were told breakfast was ready after 11 hours in the air that was music to our ears, fresh Arabic coffee and the best hummus I ever eaten in my life. Im giving this family business a five start because they went above and beyond. Communication was on point, there were some small glitches but nothing that it wasnt taken care of right and then, besides the hotel is n the heart of the Mt. Olives, we know now by heart bus 275 and the Damascus Gate, Via Dolorosa, the Kotel from the Dung Gate, etc., Golgotha is right there at the bus terminal and walking distance the Garden of the Tomb, and the light train to Machne Yehuda or bus 231 to Bethlehem. We traveled Jerusalem like it was our neighborhood and I would love to visit you again.

This is not even a 1 star hotel. Very dirty. No one cleans your room- except making your bed, but using the same lingerie.People were ok at reception but I dont understand why its a 4 star hotel on booking.comIts a hostel.

DELIBERATELY DEFECTIVE AIR CONDITIONING. The Commodore has air conditioning that is programmed to turn itself off after about 20 minutes. This made the room unbearably hot and we only slept about 3 hours. Since the window in this room is sealed shut, the heat became unbearable in a short time. This would wake us up. At which point I tried to program the thermostat so it would maintain a constant temperature. Nothing worked. Finally at 1:30 AM I dressed and went down to the desk to see if they could fix it. The desk clerk came up and said he had to reset the circuit breaker in order to turn off the motion detector!! (They had deliberately linked the AC to a motion detector so that once customers fell asleep the AC would shut off to save them money. He said when customers complained they tried to override it. However, he was unable to overrride it. About 2:15 AM I went back down to tell him the override did not work. He came back up to our room and tried again but could not make the AC keep running. They never offered us another room apparently as all their rooms are also programmed this way. As a result of this constant up and down activity, I slept only about 3 hours. THis is totally unacceptable, especially because this is not a mistake but a deliberate fraud perpetrated on paying customers in order to make more money for the hotel. Parking is also a problem at this hotel, and the nearby mosque will wake you up at 5 AM with the call to prayer. Avoid this hotel

The staff was very nice and welcoming, and gave good service. the breakfast was mediocre, the bathroom didnt drain well, so it was a bit smelly after a few nights. The view was very nice. Its far from the middle of the city, and there arent any efficient ways to get there with public transportation. Only cabs.

Nice staff but they’re completely useless. The rooms have motion detectors which turn off the power after 10 minutes of no detected movement (while you’re asleepyou’ll wake up in a firey hellish inferno and your phone and laptop will be dead dead for your next holiday outing. You can call the front desk (if they’re there and not outside or somewhere elsebut you’ll most likely have to walk down and beg them to override the system. Sometimes they do it. For an hour or so, you go back to sleep and wake up again in Muslim hell. The morning call to prayer will also certainly wake you up. The WiFi is slow and iffy. You get what you pay for. You’ve been warned. And no the windows do not open. What a mistake this hotel was.

The staff is helpful, but the rooms need renovation and the internet was on-/ off during our stay. The worst: a movement detector shuts off the power in the room after ~15 minutes. Highly stressful if you try reading in your bed and the power turns off every couple minutes.

The staff were very kind and did their absolute best to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The room was very clean, spacious and had an impressive view onto the mount of olives. The breakfast was also fantastic with an array of fresh foods and drinks that were all delicious. The dining area backs onto an outdoor terrace where we could enjoy our breakfast each morning. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again soon.

If one of your visits is the BYU Center this place is great. It is literally right across the street. You can get a room that faces it and it is just beautiful. Close enough to old town and Mt. Of Olives and other sites. One of the best breakfasts in the country (with peanut butter!). Staff was just fine.
