This simple, 2-story hotel with exterior entrances and a mountain backdrop is set off Route 395. It’s a 3-minute walk from Bishop City Park, a 6-minute walk from the Tri County Fairgrounds and 5.5 miles from the Druid trailhead.Rooms with en suite bathrooms have free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, microwaves, minifridges and coffeemakers. Suites add separate living spaces and are available with extra bedrooms, whirlpool tubs and fireplaces.Complimentary hot breakfast buffet is provided. Other amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, guest laundry facilities and free RV parking.
Clean, well run and centrally located. You can walk to all of the excellent food offerings in town and many give discounts if you show them your room key. Room was well stocked, clean and quiet. Breakfast included has lots of options. The only thing I didn’t likeWas how soft the bed was or how thick the pillows were (minor). And I don’t know who needs to hear this but the windows have 3 sets of curtains and the black out curtains are not the decorated ones that match the room. Someone before us had obviously tried to pull these over the window to no avail and damaged them a bit.
Nice hotel, directly on Main Street. Conveniently located to many shops, stores and eaterys in Bishop. Great views of the surrounding mountains.Rooms are comfortable and maintained. The staff is courteous and friendly. The only minor inconvenience is that parking is limited and not set-up for those who may be pulling a trailer. However, adjacent businesses do seem to allow parking on their properties, so this offers a suitable option which is only a slight inconvenience.Overall, I would recommend this property for its location, convenience and value. 4.5 stars.
I stayed in a room on the second floor, and the room exceeded my expectations. The bed was very comfortable (on the soft side - good for side sleepers), the air conditioning worked perfectly and was accurate, the refrigerator was small but worked fine, and the rugless floor and everything else were super clean. I really appreciated all the wonderful lighting in the room. I was able to film my Square-to-Triangle Haberdasher Puzzle video for my YouTube channel and it came out great! The location of the hotel was so close to the fairgrounds where I was working (Im a jugglerthat I was able to unicycle back and forth for all my sets instead of drive, which let me work on my videos during my breaks.
I have been to many places, but this place had the worst staff ever! Rooms were decent, but worst staff I have ever encountered.Reason: I booked a hotel via a third party and rescheduled it via comfort inn via phone. I got a confirmation receipt from comfort inn that the 2 rooms I had booked have been rescheduled. But, when I visited the hotel during the night, the receptionist said that they can see only one room booked (we had booked two rooms). She recommended to ask the morning receptionist as they would know better and be able to help me in this. So, eventually we had to book an extra room for that night.Next day early morning: we were checking out, before that we talked to the reception lady. I explained her my situation carefully. She was able to find that one room which the night staff couldn’t find, but she said that it was never rescheduled. We even showed her the comfort inn receipt. She was not accepting that, and saying talk to the third party, I can’t do anything even though we had the receipt as a proof.Eventually, in a few seconds she started being extremely disrespectful, rude, and started saying things like I can’t hear you. She didn’t have even 1% of manners or politeness in her. Not kidding but even her eyes showed disrespect and she didn’t like our presence. This conversation went on for a few minutes, and she started raising her voice even if we were politely explaining her everything. She was strongly insisting that go and talk to the third party, it’s not on us.I never had such a bad treatment in any motel so far. Sorry to use such words, but I would request the hotel senior staff/managers to teach your staff some manners, because they have none.
This place will fulfill all your needs to stay for a night. They have nice comfortable rooms. They have a decent breakfast. Also the check-in checkout is very simple and easy.
I was really surprised by how comfortable, well-equipped and spacious the rooms were at this price point. Continental breakfast was decent for omnivores, and there were basic vegan options (fruit, oatmeal), but no vegan milk.
