Have always loved Combos. So sad to hear it is closing.

Definitely the place to whenever you want some fresh seafood out the fryer and a good vibe

Dec. 2021 - Delicious fried egg plant for our appetizer, followed by blue fish .FEB. 2022- Another great blue fish and fried egg plant lunch! Combos is a quaint small neighborhood fish take out place. take out only. I suggest to call ahead too, as Phil gets very busy once they open + Always quick service , very clean and friendly employees. Best Fish Fry in the 518 & many ppl don’t know about it!The owners & the staff are always friendly & welcoming. The place is always clean & even when busy they never make you feel RUSHED or HURRIED to order!They have literally been the most CONSISTENT of all the Fish Fry’s in Schenectady as long as I’ve been around (about 2decades), staff, food & environment wise!

Thank you for continuing to provide excellent service and excellent food. I enjoyed my coconut shrimp and Haddock sandwich immensely! Havent been home in years and Combos was 1st on the list. Never disappointed! Thanks guys!

The building and its location leave a lot to be desired but you cant beat how delicious the fish is.

On friday we bought dinner for our family on saturday about 3 am I and my family got sick I reported it this am on mon day.and I spent my whole weekend sick from the fish the cole staw was nothing like the past and I am really disappointment but it will be our lastthankyou 3.15 21

Order two clam rolls. Can anybody tell me what this is because it clearly isn’t clams. Stay away

At combo fish fry I always like to indulge myself so I tend to go when my appetite has hit a peak. I got 3 orders of haddock which are always great prices for the size. They come with the delicious homemade tarter sauce which I really enjoy. I also got 2 orders of fried eggplant and was allowed to eat a few pieces while I waited for the rest of my order with my mother and we chatted away about the amazing looking cheesecake and looked over the menu items. I noticed the coconut shrimp and decided to order some and I have to admit I am glad I did. They were amazing. The pineapple dipping sauce paired perfectly with the coconut shrimp. I am a lover of sweet and savory so if that is your thing I would give this item a try. Plus you get to feel like youre in the tropics for a little bit. Next we ordered 3 orders of scallops, chicken tenders for my nephew and large fries.The order took awhile to make as Im sure you could tell. The staff there is always really friendly and chats with my mother and I everything we go there. The neighborhood isnt the best but once you get inside you completely forget about all of that.They make great food and have always been a staple of the Mont Plesant, Schenectady community.

Friendly family fish fry joint on crane st ! Fish is usually fresh and not fishy smelling very reasonably priced and portions are great!

Clean and pleasant staff. Following the guidelines for this Pandemic, only four(4people are allowed in the store at a time, wears mask & gloves, & removes gloves when doing money transactions. Thank you Combos Fish Fry for CARING!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Also, prices are reasonable.

Combos is a great place for seafood ,fries,appetizers and other fried foods .I go get fresh fish fried to perfection at least 2 times a month. Highly recommended .

I love this place. Im just sad that it only delivers to businesses for lunch. If it delivered, i would probly order.... Some people cant get out or around that area....

The fish fry and chips , yum the coleslaw the food is good , and since the place has been rebuilt renovated there is outdoor seating and accommodates a lot of people

Fish was good, although I have to admit not in the best street, but noone bothered me. The owner knew I was running behind and was gracious enough to wait for me.

I knew this place for more than 20 years, very good service and people, but today I bought 2 pounds of Haddock fish from them, when I took it home nobody can eat it, it taste nasty and I can smell the old oil,when I called the manager complaining about that it seems to be that he don´t care

First time at Combos Fish, and thought the fish on a roll with coleslaw was excellent. Will definitely be back to sample more of their choices, especially their New England clam chowder.

This is my favorite seafood spot, the seafood is always fresh and delicious. I would eat here everyday and it still would not get old to me. Been coming for years!

My father in law ordered it for dinner last week. Im thinking to myself yeah were having fish fryou for dinner. Not.... Im not a big fish fry fan, however the fish was great not oily like you get from most fish fry places, and I was also thinking store bought saladsome. The coleslaw the best Ive ever tasted, the macaroni salad, and the potato salad were also very good. I had seconds on the macaroni & potato salad, and lost count on how many servings of coleslaw I had it was that good. I hardly ever finish the coleslaw from other restaurants. Wish they had a store in Florida.

Best sea food ever anytime u can see though the oil from behind the counter u know your fish going to be tasty I live cross town and come to the other side to get the best sea food plus other food plus they clean.

Combos is the best fish fry around. We come all the way from Rhode Island for their fresh and great tasting food. I love everything there. Best service around. I always feel at home by staff and owners. They are very friendly and everytime we come back they remember me by name. A must when visiting Schenectady, NY.
