Çoko Bistro & Bar - Bistro in Elbasan, Albania
Çoko Bistro & Bar in Elbasan
Description
Tasty food, bit on the pricey side compared to other restaurants in the area. Friendly staff
MoreAlways ask for the receipt, they tell you the price without the receipt and then if you ask for it youll see a different price after all. Good thing we realized it otherwise the waitress would have stolen from us. Horrible service
MoreOne of the best brunch places in Tirana! On Saturday and Sunday you can brunch till 3pm. Staff speaks proper English and is really friendly! Prices are normal prices for in the area.Would definitely come back here
Moreamazing breakfast! great staff.
Great place with wonderful coffee and cozy vibesAlao comfy chair for remote work
The restaurant is beautifully designed, but my croque madam was odd with a hollandaise rather than béchamel the classics are classic for a reason leave them alone.
MoreI have been a regular costumer here a long time. I’m giving this place a bad review for the poor service, and that for a regular costumer.I set there at exactly 12:30 on September 2nd 22’, and really wanted some breakfast. I was told breakfast could not be served because it ended at 12:30. I get it, but I also want to add that it could have not been that entirely impossible to make it happen, especially for someone that has brought so many people to this place. For someone that’s been loyal and supportive for so long.I ended up ordering a soup instead. Set there for 45 minutes waiting for a soup that never arrived.Got up, paid for the overly priced water and left at 1:30 very hungry and unhappy. Will likely never return.
MoreVery cute bar next to Tiranas city center. Food and coffee are excellent. The WiFi is fast and reliable if you need to work from there
MoreThe best place for breakfast in Tirana! A big variety of breakfast dishes, I recommend trying the Albanian breakfast. We sat on the cozy upper floor, the sides are open and you are surrounded by trees and the neighboring houses. A very good price - performance ratio with kind staff.
MoreThey only brought one person’s food and didn’t mention they didn’t have the rest of what we ordered until we followed up after about an hour. There were no other customers and the waitress didn’t come back to our table when we asked if we could order something else. The only dish they served us was tasty though.
Morethe service is good, but the food was average, maybe a bit below average - we ordered Madame Croque toast and eggs Benedict - toast was ok, but nothing special, a bun in eggs Benedict was far from fresh, looks like it was few days old - I had hard time trying to cut it with a knife, and overall it wasn’t tasty
MoreI had the eggs benedict with salmon, it was cold by the time it got to me. I also had a fresh juice which was warm 🤔 tasty but not the refreshing liquid I was after on a hot day. There was 1 waitress who seemed run off her feet. She handled it well but service was extremely slow, hence the cold food. I tried to send the cold eggs back but couldnt get service to do so.Had much better food and service elsewhere. Pretty pricey for a disappointing experience.
Morevery bad experience. The waitress didnt know which bill was ours and she tried to get us to pay another tables. Small and ridiculous quantity and it took an hour to serve having the restaurant half empty
MoreThe worst place where we have eaten in Albania. At least they have a supermarket close to them so you can go to buy your dinner after staying there.
MoreReally good breakfast with a lot of options! We had albanian breakfast and eggs benedict royale with truffles. Both delicious!
MoreWe were able to sit on the patio with our dogs and have a wonderful dinner! The avocado chicken, salad, and risotto were all amazing! We also had a couple glasses of wine! Very relaxing environment. Would definitely going!
MoreEgg Benedict very poor, overcooked, almost 3 of 5 *. Armenian brekfast nice but olives without taste. Recommend for coffee.
MoreWe’ve had eggs Benedict at probably 100 different restaurants, and this was amongst the best we’ve ever had- spinach, salmon, and truffle! There is seriously no better combo. The coffee was amazing, and atmosphere was also perfect. Not only that but the waitress Hejda was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. And finally, the place is beautiful inside and out. The only thing we could say negative is that they don’t give tap water, only bottled. Other than that the place is a 10/10.
MoreNice interiors and quiet courtyard. Ordered salmon which was pretty tasty, despite the salmon being a bit overcooked.
MoreWent here because we read it was super nice. It was NOT! Very overpriced and the eggs Benedict were not that good. They forgot my order so my partner got his and then I had to wait for about 20 more minutes before I got mine. And they dont have good coffee, only cups from a machine.
MoreWe got attracted by the lovely duo on the guitar and the percussions. The drinks were fantastic, the food was delicious and the service was extraordinary. Highly recommend !
MoreEnglish travelling. first time visiting Albania and Tirana City. Went to Coko, greeted with friendly staff, cool vibes, chill background music with an eclectic crowd with a great ambiance. Food and service great! Super tasty food, drinks and at a very good price. Portions aren’t as big as a full westerner is used to but definitely didn’t leave you hungry. Would recommend fully when travelling through or in that part of the city.
MoreFood was good, staff seemed nice, but they charge an insane amount for their bottles of whine. We ate & drank with 3 people, we asked for a standard bottle of white whine and when we received the bill we found out that that bottle of whine was 3800 LEK (compared to 850 LEK for a main dish).
MorePerfect breakfast. 5/5.
The place looks great. Food and beverages are good but overpriced. You definitely pay the fancy place in the middle of hipster Blloku.
MoreFood is delicious and the staff are nice prices are reasonable
I was expecting much more. Overrated place. Brunch had no salt, tasted like nothing and full of grease. Bitter prices for 1 slice of bread and an egg. Do better guysThe place is nice though, colorful and nice music.
MorePopped in here for brunch on a whim and had a really lovely time. The food was great - I had some decent eggs Benedict - and the staff were really nice. Has wi-fi and comfy seating and a great selection of dishes and drinks. Also the hot chocolate was just fab, and the little touches like the garnish of crushed hazelnuts just made everything all the more special. Definitely recommend
MoreI’ve heard a lot about this place before coming to Tirana, it’s always listed among the best cafes in the city. So probably my expectations were too high. The interior is pretty nice, especially places on the terrace. However, it was too hot to sit outside and too cold to be inside because of the AC.I’ve ordered Eggs Benedict with salmon (it was the most expensive breakfast I’ve eaten in Albaniaand the portion was very small. Coffee was good.
MoreOne of the best breakfast places i found in Tirana. Try their royal benedict eggs you will love it.
MoreUpdate: they charged more than what was in the menu, so one star less...This is a bar with a magical atmosphere. The different sets of lights illuminate the tables with white and orange tonalities. The bar has hundreds of bottles on display and the cocktail selection is rich and drowsy.Cocktails are sweet and delicious, you can taste some cinnamon in their mixes. As we say, Gazu-R
MoreThe coffee was good enough, the service was good but the food..I would say average and taking into account prices, below the balance in my opinion. So I wouldn’t go here next time and tried to search another place. However, one more good thing is that they have a baby chair!)
MoreAwful experience here. Ordered water and a couple of drinks, which they forgot and we only got them after 45 mins when we asked again. We also ordered tacos which they had run out of but failed to tell us.. so we were kept waiting again. We felt like the service was rude and paled in comparison to the great service we’ve had in Tirana so far. Felt very unwelcoming to tourists, would not recommend.
MoreBest Bistro Bar in Tirana, Albania.Known for its brunch and cosy setting for both the indoors and outdoors with multiple level layouts, Coko offers great service, a daily lunch menu or a la carte menu, pairing it with wines from France, Italy or local cantines.During the evening and night, Coko becomes a going-out destination for the young people of Tirana, who can enjoy the cocktails prepared with fresh ingredients and carefully chosen labels.
MoreBeen here few times, tried different dishes - all were tasty. Service is good, place is cozy.
MoreVery friendly staff, great location for a cosy breakfast, coffee or even to work.
MoreHad ordered orange juice but got carrot juice. Waiter insisted that that is what I ordered. Absolutely sure thats not the case.My GF did like the carrot juice though and the eggs Benedict were tasty.Hipster vibe and hipster prices
MoreGood eggs Benedict and fried dough balls. The location and ambiance are also nice.
MoreLocation is great.Vibes are cool.Staff is quick and great.Coffee is excellent.Very good for breakfast and dinner.
MoreStaff friendly, food okay but not good. Little bit overpriced for what you get. There is not a lot of breakfast locations in Tirana, so you dont have lots of options. This one is quiet okay, but dont expect much.
MoreGood and tasty food. Bit its a bit to expensive for what you get. Location is good.
MoreLocated in the middle of a block (less noisyEnglish speaking staff is friendly and attentive. Good food. Contactless menu. Clean place with soft bossso nova music.
MoreWowoow! The best egg Benedict’s 🌟 Super nice vibe and the service is on top. Been here for brunch, cocktails, dinner. Everything is amazing. Highly recommend!
MoreThis a very cute place to hang out inside or out the food was cook well made with love
MoreWe absolutely loved this beautiful café with its stylish design and love for detail. The staff are friendly and courteous and the food is absolutely wonderful with a range of delicious dishes, not only for breakfast but also for lunch and dinner. We especially liked the avocado toast and definitley recommend this Bistro.
MoreWe enjoyed brunch here. they have vegetarian options. Music was nice and staff was friendly. Food was good and came quickly.
MoreGreat place for brunch! A large menu with fresh juice, smoothie, coffees, eggs and much more! Nice vibe and good eggs benedict!
MoreThis is a hipster joint and the kind of place people come to be seen. I happened upon it the other day and felt the chips and guacamole were way disappointing (no tomatoes despite the description saying there would be). However, I had seen raves about the eggs Benedict and decided I would return for one. I’ve been travelling for a very long time, 18 months, and REALLY miss Eggs Benny. This one was near flawless. Delicious hollandaise.Yes, expensive for this city and potentially overrated on other foods, but the eggs Benny was perfect. So, for the Benny, I’d give five stars. For the chips and guacamole, two stars. I’m splitting the difference with four. I’ll be back for another Benny.
MoreBest breakfast in Tirana. Good coffee and smoothies!!! Prices are moderat and breakfast is till 12pm on weekend brunch till 3pm so perfect for party ppl. Ambiente and service are good too!
MoreIm on my second visit to Tirana and fourth visit here. Many locals recommended this place to me. While breakfast isnt that big in Tirana, Im still a breakfast person anywhere I go. Çoko opens at 8:30am and has plenty of yummy breakfast options. Im also a student and traveling on a tight budget. Im not sure about local standards, but you get way more than what you would pay for by US dollar standards.Their breakfast dishes are filling and yummy. Ive tried the scrambled eggs with salmon, vegetarian omelette, and avocado eggs Benedict and all were fantastic. If youre a vegetarian but eat eggs, you wont have a hard time here.Additionally, the smoothies are fantastic and homemade. Dont miss a chance to try one to boost your morning and energy. I forgot the name, but the morning starter one with ginger was one of my favorites.I think this place will become a tradition every time I come to Tirana. Cant recommend it enough!
