An good coffee shop located in Cinnamon Grand hotel. Which is in the heart of Colombo City.The food, snacks and drinks were fairly priced but they too have raised prices recently.They use to serve Sushi, which was excellent and at par with any Japanese restaurant in Colombo. However for the last several months this too is out of stock.The service is a tad slow and the quality of food has dropped considerably. Forcing me to reduce the rating from 5 stars to just 3 stars.Overall a good place if they dont continue dropping the quality of food and service.Update. 3rd Nov. 2022. Food and service remains consistent. Which is good.

The savouries are nice but the cakes are sub-standard. The coffee, for the price charged, is absolutely disgusting. Avoid if possible - there are better alternatives with great quality food and at competitive prices - try Fab or the Sponge.

Nice place with a good atmosphere. Has many options of coffee, cakes and other bakery products. One of the few coffee shops open till midnight around Colombo.

I had bought a white chocolate cake to give as a birthday gift. It was awesome. Surprisingly it had a base with biscuits and there was cashew nuts in the cake. Everyone enjoyed the cake!

Always enjoy the food and service at coffee stop. Always consistent despite the time of day.

On the day of the Peoples Struggle (9/9/22we wanted to come and refresh ourselves at our favourite point which we patronise usually weekly. When called the coffee stop directly the restaurant manager said it is open. However the hotel staff at the entrance vehemently stopped us from entering despite getting the manager to speak to them via phone. When other hotels including Galadari were open to public it is very disappointing that Cinnamon Grand closed doors for those who usually patronise.

Very chilled out, nice food and coffee.

They have increased price fairly over time but the quality has not reduced. Their curry mutton sandwich is a must try. Also ask them to add fresh veges. Its so worth for the price.

Buy their regular cakes just don’t custom made them.I’ve ordered a 2Kg cake for my daughter’s birthday from coffee stop and it turned out to be a horrible experience. The cake was not fluffy at all, it was mushy and too sweet. Their regular cakes are really good but this shows a fraction of that quality with four times the money. When I complained about it, the chef simply replied me that she’ll get back to me ‘tomorrow’, and obviously didn’t call me back.

Food was as usually great. ambience was great with an excellent service and helpful staff.

Cakes were dry and too sweet. They still make rocking beverages and I love their iced coffee and hot chocolates. I took three types of cakes and disappointed by the overly sweet taste of all three!Their mutton roll is also really good and so famous!!

They have nice collection of cakes, itclares and macroons for reasonable prices. The quality is also good. The ppace is a bit too crowded therefore staff takes a little bit of more time to attend to your request. Just next to the main entrance of cinnamon grand so can be easily reached.

Colourful furniture, friendly staff. Large car park. However, the ambience required to be improved for relaxation. Food menu if added with popular favourites particularly sandwiches would add spice to the spot.

I went to let it to find that they had a pastry that wasn’t just bread but instead was a croissant filled with something other than chocolate. It was so good! They have a bunch of cake on display and that’s not appropriate for breakfast at least not to an American. The atmosphere is very severe like the Ritz Carlton. It’s not very SL at all but it’s cool if you’re OK with that. Except that they have mutton buns that are spicy and sweet rolls that are not sweet at all: That’s pretty SL I guess!

One of the best coffee places in town. Prices are pretty reasonable. ( LKR 350 for a espresso macchiato, LKR 525 for a piece of blue berry cheese cake, LKR 450 for caramel macchiato... They have removed the beverages menu and now you have to scan the QR code to get the menu. I think it may be a bit of a hassle to someone.Since not everyone comfortable with scanning QR codes.The staff is friendly and did give us some info about their coffee when ordering. In a Sunday evening, with only around two service providers I would say the service is not bad at all.

Best of all thr coffee shops in SL. Always love their food and service. You should try their chocolate chip cake if you are a first timer. And they have home made ice creams too ❤

Had a short family gathering in the evening a few weeks back.Rameesha and Atheesh were very helpful with getting our orders sorted.Lovely atmosphere. The Mocha drinks were great and at a surprisingly reasonable priceOne area where they can improve is to actually have menu cards they can share with the customers. I understand there are QR codes on every table, but not everyone is tech savy and it was a real nuisance getting the menu around, especially for the less tech savy of the group.

Dissaponted with the experience we had yesterday. When I asked for the menu , the guy at the counter asked to scan the QR code to get the menu. When i wanted assistance for that he was giving me the coldest look and it was so dissapointing . It could be because it was 11.30pm and they are getting ready to close. This had been one of my favourite coffee spots in Colombo and never expected this.

Went for a late night coffee on a busy Friday night. Ordered a Cappuccino while some of my friends got themselves a chocolate milkshake. Unfortunately both orders took almost 30 min to arrive and after that the taste was really awful with both the coffee and the chocolate milkshake being far too watery and lacking any flavor. Expected much better from a 5-star hotel in the peak of the Christmas season...but alas that was not to be.

WELCOME TO CINNAMON TEA KADE.JoYet a nother typical low quality bizzar join, j have been waiting for quite a long time for some to attend to my table , but no did but instead ade of that i had to walk to the counter and oder , when ordering the food the cashier has thrown fits to mr and demanded me to be seated . Some how i manage to get my cup of tea but no cutlery been provided . Even though so many staffs working behind the counter there were only two who are actively taking orders . I have been to this hotel ver often and this was the only time i had the worse service . If you see these ppl in the snaps please dont even bother you will have the worse service ever . Count my word on it .

Good options, and friendly staff. Excellent coffee and cakes. The lounge could do with amenities like a portable device charging station, COVID19 sanitizer kits etc, as is expected of a 5 star hotel lobby.

They also offered a large variety of coffee drinks. We ordered cappuccinos which were excellent. For food, we ordered the Omelet and a few customized versions of their Breakfast. Food quality was very good in general but I found my Pudding (sausageextremely dry, even crumbly. Overall a good, solid choice for a quick, quality breakfast while on the run.

Nice stop while wandering around. Mouth-watering ice cream selection for everyone. Recommended!

Famous coffee shop at the cinnamon grand. Great place to hangout.. Spend time chatting and enjoying the good coffee pastries sandwiches desserts and cakes. They also have waffles and range of juices and shakes. The staff is very friendly and supportive. Cinnamon parking is available so its hassle free. Adheres strictly to the covid safety guidelines. Highly recommended.

Their cakes and bakes are rich in flavor. Went for high tea and the price is around 2000 for 1 platter which is enough for 2. You have a choice of tea or coffee.

Cozy and Affordable coffee shop conveniently located in Cinnamon grand Colombo. Love the ambiance and the service. Staff is friendly and generous in helping out the customers. Barista was really nice and let us try some new flavors they had. They serve really good coffee. Loved their chocolates too but they were not exceptional as we expected from a 5 star place.Cakes are of good quality too. Love the piece of jaggery cake which had totally captured the sri lankan taste. Cheesecakes were okay. They have a breath taking collection of macaroons for macaroon lovers. However Some Ice creams were not so upto standards and when served it was almost watery.

Kind attention to Mr.Shankar manager on duty on 24/9/2019 . Too many flies inside please advice ur team to get rid of it since it’s a coffee shop .(we actually paid for new guest “flies” as well )

Coffee Stop @ Cinnamon Grand is always that place where many enjoyed coming not just to have a coffee n pastry, but it has always been the place to sit n relax, have a meeting, come with family & friends. The place, the ambiance very different to any other star hotel coffee shop to any other coffee houses in Colombo- always been THAT place to come more often to chill.Even though it never served great coffee its prices has always been VFM, one time pastry stop served great pastries, cake, desserts, with good service n always cleaned tables n arranged chairs. But now since of late everything have fallen off the standards. Taste, quality, look n size all have really come down big time , even not so great coffee has got worse with cleanliness n service standards deteriorated . Its sad because still that place holds a special place in many peoples hearts, still willing to come n enjoy the peace n relaxation that brings to one. Listening to live music, observing the huzzle n buzzle of the hotel lobby, chatting with your friends munching into a savoury pastry n slipping a coffee latte is something that people enjoy. Its that PLACE that makes one go again n again, that unique, happening place. Hope the management looks into this to improve the service standards it once had, quality of food n cleanliness of the place. Coffee Stop I suppose is still THAT PLACE to many who are used to it... that is WHY people keep on coming. .....

Waffle was not done properly and the pistachio ice cream had an almond aftertaste?But price is decent and coffee was standard. Service was so-so...

Cheap coffee compare to other shops (Rs300.00), considering its inside Cinnamon Grand. They have good selection of macarons to choose from. Very friendly staff, always willing to help you choose and patient enough to make your decision unlike other places in colombo. Very clean place. There are quite a few restaurants inside cinnamon Grand as well if you are looking to grab lunch or dinner.

Sweet!!! If you love desserts, you just come to Cinnamon Grand, Colombo. Here has a plenty of cakes and ice creams. You can have desserts with a cup of coffee. Its really delicious. The place is also nice. You can enjoy your favorite desserts and listen to the live piano music.
