Great coffee & great people. Really enjoying the high quality coffee beans delivered right to my house.

Soooo first time trying it. I kept seeing photos of their breakfast sandwich on social media. The staff was super nice, the sandwich SO WORTH IT. Best breakfast sandwich ever. Great way to start the day

Love this quaint cafe. The lattes are made to my liking - smooth and aromatic. Their selection of pastries are not extensive but what they have are delicious. I had a Galette today - went perfectly with my latte. People are super friendly and real.Definitely will revisit often.

Wow! I do not give 5 stars lightly. Never have I been so sad to be full before my plate was finished. Best breakfast I have had in a long time. I didnt love the americano, but I didnt even care.

Great and innovative brunch items at this place, where chef Raphael is cleverly marrying old ingredients and modern flair for delicious vegetarian delights. We had the buckwheat crêpes and the brioche sando, both awesome. Highly recommend.

I think this is a pretty nice cafe, the dishes and the cups are very cute and the shop pays a lot of attention to the details; however, the coffee is just passable. Their pour over is good enough (not at Nemesis level imo), but the espresso was bad (slightly better than Nemesis actually).If you want a place to bring a book and chill with some coffee with milk, sure, but dont come here looking for amazing coffee.

We stopped by for a quick afternoon coffee. The decor and interior is nicely designed. There is seating inside for a quick bite. My husband and i ordered an americano and an espresso on ice. Unfortunately they got the espresso order wrong - but it was still good. We ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches which was pretty tasty, how ever we did ask to add a sausage, and that was miscommunicated as well. Overall experience was pleasant.

Great pour over and pour over options. Pretty good chocolate chip cookie. Relaxed vibe, clean and modern decor. Only downside is the view through the window is Broadway and bland storefronts. Nice place to meet a friend for a chat or for a solo stop.

Exceptional coffee. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. They have a large varietal of beans to try. Currently they have handful from Brazil and Rwanda.I highly recommend ordering their pour over it as you can get the most of nuianced flavours of their beans.

cute little coffee spot with limited food items just to pair with your coffee fix. Prices reasonable. Espresso blend is fragrant but lighter in profile. Latte was very milky, so couldnt really get the notes from the espresso as much, but milk was smooth and well tempered. Also good light pour over.Avocado toast was nice. Sourdough used as very soft, yuzu bits made the dish refreshing. Paired nicely with coffee.

Coming from Portland, which has arguably the biggest coffee culture of any US city, I have to say that this is one of the best coffee roasters/cafes I’ve ever been to. Incredible coffee, incredible handmade food, and just an overall fantastic experience coming here.

I absolutely love the toasts they do here. so what if Ill never be able to afford a detached home, with these toasts I DONT WANT ONE!also one of the most interesting rosters in Vancouver, they are putting out some truly excellent and unique beans. if you like weird and wonderful coffee beans, and youre a nerd like I am, come here and get some.

I visited them for breakfast today, i got a latte and it was okay it wasn’t bad but i also got a butter croissant and let me tell you it was really dry, my gf didn’t want it so we threw it away. Not bad coffee but unfortunately i won’t be coming back.

It was my first time here & it’s now one of my favourite coffee shops in Vancouver. 😍 it’s not a huge place, but if you can, grab a seat and enjoy it. Their coffee is next level & the food is delicious too. Highly recommend.

Of course I haven’t tried all the coffee shops in Vancouver, but I was planning on checking one different everyday… well, I came twice at Modus! Amazing coffee, delicious pastries, cozy and small, fair price…

My go-to coffee place now. Glad to have found one once again that’s consistent to my taste. Love the americano. It’s the more fruity type of coffee—not the burnt bitter variety. Purchased their beans to grind at home but they are on the pricier side. Their hours are not too convenient for me but there’s always the decent alternative across the street with slightly longer hours.I would pass on their cookies as I suspect it definitely isn’t made fresh daily and/or the ingredients like the oats for the cookie have been aired a bit too much/long. The chocolate chip cookie is alright especially if you enjoy the very soft type, however, that may be because those just tend to keep longer and/or better turnover. I may be wrong but I’ll just keep to actual bakeries for baked items unless I’m desperately hungry...Also, bring your own thermos/mug to save $0.25.

Small and casual, quite an aesthetic interior. The drink menu is small but they offer lots of food options for lunch and brunch.The Kouign I had was delicious. Crispy and right amount of sweetness. Hefty price for the little one though, 5 bucks or more. I think baked goods are made on the spot. My friend adores her aromatic and strong coffee taste of Macchiato.

The Modus coffee offers a lot more than just coffee, and its conveniently located on Broadway St. and Manitoba St. It gets pretty crowded during rush hours. Had their Chermoula Benny this morning and it was delicious. The service was fast, and staff are friendly and kind. Highly recommended.

Sleek, contemporary cafe with decadent pastries and a hot beverage for everyone. I had a perfect green tea with frothed milk. They take their coffee seriously too!

Had an oat latte and cookie. Both very good. Cute store although not too big. Everyone was masked up and had lots of barriers. Thank you!

This is a sleek little shop tucked in along this throughway. The coffee is hand crafted and with tremendous care. A lovely atmosphere.

I come to drink their pour overs which are superb! However, they also bake fresh pastries on the spot. Nice interior too. One of my fav cafes in Vancouver for sure.

Amazing coffee, super friendly owners, a great light food menu, brunch options in the week and a chilled venue. Modus roast their own coffee and as such have one of the best lineups of beans catering to every kind of coffee drinker. Im a huge fan of LATIF but BARE is my goto bean for people getting into the coffee scene.

Literally walked here straight from another nearby coffee shop to compare, and the taste of the Gibraltar/Cortado here was far superior. From the first sip the espresso flavour was strong, but pleasant. Their roaster clearly knows what they are doing. And first rate ambience too!

I asked the barista what to have he recommended a fruity flavoured coffee which I tend to not like compared to a profile with more earthy flavours, but I didn’t mind this one. It’s small and has limited seating but I managed to find a chair and seat and enjoyed my time there. It was also snowing outside which made it more peaceful.

I come here, now semi-regularly, for a macchiato here. One of the best around in my opinion. Dark and smooth espresso with well balanced aroma, the milk is always well prepped with perfect micro-bubbles. The ambience is nice and staff is courteous. Plus i never have to wait long!

Expertly done coffee, top notch pastries and always a fantastic playlist playing. My favourite spot to write in or just pop in with a friend for a cup of always-perfect coffee. And the staff is always welcoming and lovely

Neighborhood hidden gem! I love this place, the people that work there have a genuine good spirit and love for coffee. If youve been more than a couple times, they will remember your name. I always get the Dom, but they have many other varieties for pour over coffee. The baked goods are pretty amazing too featuring a local baker regularly, and Dipped Doughnuts on Tuesdays (hopefully that trend keeps going :)Go in, ask questions, get good coffee!

Solid coffee, delicious treats, super nice people running this place and they take Square! Sometimes it’s nice to skip the larger coffee chains.

Lovely place I stumbled on by accident. They have a charming simple syrup(called magicthats, I think, saffron and cardamom? Even though I usually take my coffee without sweetener, it added a lovely flavour to the Gibraltar I ordered.

Beautiful space, lots of natural light. Sharif (owneris a man in pursuit of excellence in all that he does. Modus beans are perfectly roasted by the man himself. Come check out this gem of a cafe!

Great coffee. Really friendly staff. Loved the personal attention. Serving the coffee they roast with passion. The pastry was awesome as well. Sharif (the roaster/owneris a great guy and was knowledgeable on all things coffee.

Excellence. Perfection. Coffee how it should be! Pure and simple. Guatemalan drip coffee (Domand Peruvian hot chocolate. So smooth yet robust. Cant wait to come back. The owners are super friendly too and make great conversation.
