Coffee Island - Coffee shop in Kunri, Pakistan
Had an excellent cup of flatwhite here. Service was professional and its actually not a tiny place so you can sit and relax.
It used to be one of my favourite coffee shops in London. However, it has changed its distribution making it less personal and authentic. All drinks are served in non reusable cups independently of staying in or not and there are less options regarding the sale of organic coffee. Quite disappointing..
Just a quick coffee takeaway with friend. The weather is warm enough to enjoy a cold americano 😉. It’s nice but yet impressive!!!And the staff is also quite friendly when U ask some questions on coffee bean types used
It was an effort to get a smile from the staff. I gave up. Bit miserable !Coffee was delicious, but no way a large.Ordered salmon bagels. Very dry with some of the salmon dried at the edge.Suggestion buy a coffee, take it away and enjoy life elsewhere.
This has been one of my favourite places, but lately the experience has deteriorated. Staff are indifferent and need better training. I understand that some preparation methods need more time, but I had to wait for 15-20 mins for a V60, which was served almost cold; and the place was not even busy at that time.
Nice place, good coffee and attentive staff!
If youre looking for a place to relax with a cup of coffee and a book, this is the place for you. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is delicious. However, the internet connection is quite slow, so its not the ideal place to get work done.
Very nice coffee. They provide excellent cold and hot drinks. There are indoor and outdoor tables. Great location for having a rest after a long walk.
Really nice coffee in central London. Try the single origin
The fact that there’s only one Coffee Island in London gives the impression it’s an independent - but it’s not, it’s a Greek chain, with hundreds of branches in Greece and a handful outside it. Coffee and service are a little unreliable but mostly quite good, without ever being amazing - true both here and in its Greek branches. Impressively refurbished in the past few weeks, although it probably doesn’t need to be as brightly lit as an operating theatre, something I predict will change once this year’s electricity bills start to mount.
I was so excited to come based on reviews but this takeaway cup for drinking in full to the top for £3.20 is absolute disappointment. Very nice and clean place overall but Im not coming back for this.
I always like trying out independent roasters, especially when they look amazing like this one!I loved the variety of coffee beans and brewing methods, thought I’d start with an americano to enjoy with a croissant and would order more. However observed some red flags during this:1espresso pour was not right, it tasted burnt2coffee was served in a take-away cup for sit-in3When I asked for coffee bean options and bakery items, the baristas seemed uninterested, even though I was the only one there4They didn’t have a toilet there, when I asked for where they direct their customers, the lady was again uninterested and said she didn’t knowWell at this point I cancelled my plans having more coffee there and just moved to somewhere else.
Paid £4.50 to have a V60 served in a paper cup. Nuff said
From the outside, looked like one of the cleanest and most corporate of the coffee cafes in the area. Went in and immediately enjoyed the back and forth banter between a young college coed who sounded like Adele (the Nicki Minaj descriptionand a semi flaming barista. She was clearly a regular or at least they treated her like one and it was a great start for the morning. I ordered the same as her but my American accent got in the way and he left out the croissant. As I left, the other lady working there gave me one for free.Coffee was a pour over hot black and a little burnt and not £3 worth. With that, probably wouldn’t return or recommend because there’s 4-5 other shops within 10 steps.
Vibey cafe in the central London.Baristas are super friendly and helpful. Food and coffee were really good.Lovely place to sit and work. WiFi is pretty good as well!Unfortunately their toilet was out of order and was a massive inconvenience to myself and other customers.
I ordered two flat white but it was prepared as a cappuccino. Also the temperature was too hot as well which disappointed me since the place was highly rated for its coffee.
I have ordered two coffees and a brownie to share to drink in. The cups came in plastic and the brownie was just ok. It would be good if the shop had normal cups rather than plastic ones. The coffee was ok. Staff was not very pleasant. One of the ladies was not very nice and did not really seem to be too bothered. I had to use the toilet and went downstairs, only to be told that it is closed. There was no sign and one of the ladies then went upstairs and put a sing that the toilet is closed. Not sure why it has been closed, but it is not the first time it happens. not sure if I will return again.
Its pretty good. The coffee itself is delicious and the price isnt too bad for London. Takeaway cups for people sitting in is pretty average Id say, bit if you want nice coffee with lots of options then this is great.
Have not had a worse tasting coffee than this before, absolutely no taste or aroma of coffee…and super expensive£5.20 for 200g !
Great tasting coffee, with a new country and bean regularly.Staff are always friendly and its well worth the price!
Quick service, tidy, but no plates, no fork, semi-tasteful muffin, toilet out of order, and chairs too low. Table clean and smart but wobbly. Good ambience.
Amazing customer service. I didn’t know what to take so I asked the counter guy and he gave the most amazing recommendations. Great coffee and tasty pastries! 10/10 would recommend.
Good coffee selection and beans are ground fresh. Unfortunately the baristas didnt know much about the coffee and restroom was out of service. I was looking forward to working there for a few hours but it didnt pan out
Coffee was nice enough, but the experience was not.Drinks served in takeaway cups even if drinking in is strange for a speciality coffee shop.Service was unfriendly, I asked for a v60 brew, but instead I was a given a batch brew because it was the same coffee I asked for. I got the feeling the staff couldn’t be bothered making the manual brew.Toilets are out order, and looking at other reviews, they have been for a few weeks.
Great potential. I was excited to see the different coffee beans they have and their brew styles. But the staff was the most unfriendly. And I have to agree with another reviewer who said: "what I disliked is that it was served in a takeaway cup, even though I stayed in the cafe. It felt like it degraded the experience, especially as it cost over £4.". Agree.I need to add that the toastie was served cold.To the owner: brilliant idea. Wrong staff and experience offered to customers.
A nice place, so,what industrial inside. I had a chemex, which was well made and flavourful. I was able to choose which beans I wanted, which is a nice touch. What I really disliked is that it was served in a takeaway cup, even though I stayed in the cafe. It felt like it degraded the experience, especially as it cost over £4.
I always enjoy visiting this cafe when Im in the Covent Garden area. Usually not that busy so there is space to sit down and do a bit of work, while enjoying a nice coffee and pastry.Good selection of drinks available, and you can even buy a variety of coffee beans to take home with you. The food options have changed recently - I used to enjoy a ham and cheese croissant, but this is no longer sold. The cafe is a little pricey compared to others in the area, but the coffee is more specialist. Staff are friendly, and there is complimentary flavored water to enjoy too.
Great place if you love coffee a lot of variety you can select your beans and brew your drink!
Great choice of coffee and great service. The staff is really friendly and helpful.Cosy place, we spent an hour or so here and it was very enjoyable. Will defo return again!
An excellent place to have coffee. They have different sorts of coffee beans.
Wonderful artisanal coffee. The latte was delicious and came in a big takeaway cup and worth the price. The pastries were nice too! I liked the Spinach and Feta one.
First: they are open! (For takeaway). Friendly staff, centrally located, and spacious (for when they can reopen). Delicious flat white (food available but I didn’t try yet).
Excellent coffee, love the vibe of the cafe throughout both floors - just a shame that staff arent very cheerful or friendly. A lovely space to stop at or work in, would recommend.
I went to the cafe in Christmas time :)Good music, good vibe and great coffee. They have two floor. So was busy but was fine.I ordered HUGE cream coffee. That wasn’t my type. But my friend was enjoying.Next time I will bring laptop for work!
Great laptop cafe with two floors and multiple outlets. Let’s be real. Coffee is great and so is the service. WiFi is listed on the checkout line and they roast in house. Loving the Central American and African origins of the beans! Not too packed at lunch somehow
Coffee island is a popular chain from Greece making it all the way to London. They serve a great variety of coffee blends from all around the world which all can be made with soy or oat milk. The coffee is amazing and delicious. They also offer a range of cakes and snacks perfect for a quick and light bite. The place has a nice ambience and atmosphere with Free WiFi.
Had an amazing mocha here! It was soo creamy and silky and chocolate-y without being too heavy or too sweet, and a good sized cup as well. The cafe had a mezzanine floor where most people are working away at their computers. So great conducive space for work as well as for meetups on the bottoms floor.
Lovely cafe, great location. Came on a busy Saturday afternoon but we were lucky enough to get a table. Very good coffee, food good too, tried the jam and cheese croissant, and piece of carrot cake.
A solid third wave coffee shop, with ample seating, and a nice selection of quick food options. We tried two roasts brewed with an aeropress. The Indonesian might have been slightly over extracted, but the Rwandan was very nice. This shop is a great find for those wanting a good cup of coffee.
Nice third wave coffee shop, selection of different blends of coffee, prices reasonable. Seating could be a little bit more comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly.
Hello! It was so delicious :-)I ordered two iced-Americanos andMaybe, It was the greatest coffee that i drunk in London for 3 weeks. If i come here once again, i must go Coffee Island one more time.Thank you for your wonderful drinks&fantastic service.
Awesome place to have most delicious coffee in Central London! Different brewing methods on the menu also variety of beans to select from! Greek coffee available prepared in traditional way: on sand! Coffee Island: please, open more shops in London! :)x
One of the best coffee shops Ive been to in my entire life:They offer a wide range of coffee beans and coffee making methods. The beans themselves are of very good quality and have there own distinctive characteristics, which is quite rare to find in even some of the best coffee shops. In addition, the service was generally good (considering how chaotic lunch time is in Londonand every cup I ordered was consistently the same. With regards to prices, they are a little higher than standard, but then again you do get a pre-eminent product.
Very busy, friendly staff but not very accessible when inside. This seems to be a ‘go to’ place as was very busy on footfall. Its not the cheapest but again I have seen more expensive. Drinks were average and nothing special. The decor is similar a warehouse type set up with a spiral staircase.I am a wheelchair user and managed to get in and order but its quite tough to get access to a table. It was manageable but that was probably as the clientele didn’t mind keep moving for me to get access.I would say this is partly because the interior is limited in space and because of the success of the place.I cant knock it really as I have been in worse places and think a coffee lover would enjoy the specials which on our visit was an Argentinian coffee (We didn’t try).
The quality of the coffee is good but they lack the skills of making it. Both their flat white and cappuccino lacked the coffee flavour and instead were milky and light; a disgrace to the name- Coffee Island.Sandwiches are terrible with very little content- you are eating bread basically. The deserts are good.
Great and unusual little coffee place. I absolutely loved the decor and little benches. They also have a little library if you want to read while you have your coffee. They have some different coffee beans infused with things like hazlenut etc if you want to try something different. They also have milk alternatives if you cant have dairy. Oh and their chocolate and raspberry tart is divine!Really enjoyed it here!
I like the place so much I love design , music and Location . Coffee si amazing , very tasty !!! But today I wanted to buy and try some cakes but when I saw small flies on cakes( cake was coveredI changed my mind , never mind and staff ? They are only people it is very hard smiling 8 hours 5 days a week but they are polite ...I will come back again ...
I love their coffee and the atmosphere, I can sit there all afternoon, just work and read, spend sometime with myself there! ***It would be nice if they also serve water at second floor!
Despite the self-aggrandising hyperbole and an indifferent generic corporate interior, this Grecian based chain ups the ante in this its first London outlet.Grappling with a gamut of coffee-making techniques, a selection of exclusive roasts and a formidable battery of equipment; they bristle with intent.Staff primed, purposeful and on point in their matching harnessed aprons. Smiles abound, all around. On repeated visits I found the coffee here flavoursome, aromatic and reasonably priced. The lite bite selection adequate but inconsequential.A welcome addition to the high street, vastly extending the consumers choice, experience and expectations.Bound to ruffle some feathers.
Nice coffee spot with various bean selections including decaf for filter brewing which is hard to find. You can buy the beans in amounts you like.
