Rue Cornwall, Port Vila, Vanuatu, Port-Vila
Between Vila Bay and Erakor Lagoon, this laid-back tropical resort is 2 km from Port Vila Market and 9 km from Erakor Beach.Relaxed rooms have free Wi-Fi and satellite TV, and some offer bunk beds or balconies. They also have wall or ceiling fans and shared bathrooms. Upgraded rooms and apartments add tea and coffeemakers, air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Some also feature verandas, pull-out couches and kitchenettes with dining tables.Free parking is available, as well as an outdoor pool. There's a poolside cafe and an airy restaurant with seafood, Italian cuisine and Melanesian tapas. A vibrant bar has live music and fire shows.
Room had poor lighting. Bed mattresses were thin and hard. Quilt provided was very rough. Staff simply didnt cared.
Could have been better, not quite a resort style!!
Very nice great burgers my fav was Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road a simple resort. No wheel chair access and if you can book the 100 series of room since they are on the ground floor.
Simple hotel nice pool food ok.. Stag friendly.. Be aware food etc same or more than aussi or nz
Lovely staff and great vibe. Easy and safe walking distance to main areas.
Very budget accommodation, apartments are comfortable enough but rooms are very average. Some staff were helpful, others not so much. No body was that keen on getting drinks for you and when you did order, they took for ever to come. Breakfast was a nice touch but always a bit cold and bland. Main meal looked delicious and 70% of it was, pepper sauce on my steak was the best Ive ever had, but the steak was awful. If youre after cheap accommodation with no frills, this is your place. Did have a nice pool.
Not a bad place to stay
Nice to stay, but we have a problem with the shower. The curtain was too small, so when you take a shower, it is not very convenaient, because there is too much water on the floor. There is also air conditionning. But I enjoying my stay here. People are nice and welcoming. There is good music, a nice pool. The buffet breakfast is really good, and so does the dinner.I stayed there with a friend for one week. This hotel has a great position too. Not too far from the town. You just can walk for 10 minutes.
Lovely laidback resort . Good value for monet
I stayed here as I worked for the ministry of health and Vila Central Hospital (Coconut Palms is right in between), but had coffee many times during our stint living in Vanuatu. Staff are very friendly and while not always forthcoming (the Ni-vanuatu waythey are very accommodating and will do their best to resolve any issues that may arise. Is highly recommend as a relatively low cost, central and ready place to stay on Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The wild pig bar is awesome. Staff super happy and helpful! Rooms got really hot with no air-con and couldnt leave the windows open because of no screens. Good for price point.
A great place for the price. The staff were all very friendly, our favourite a very joyful woman named Rachel. Rachel was very enthusiastic to share her knowledge about her culture and language. Recommending places where we can find Tuluk and Laplap, the tuluk was delicious. The food and beverages at the resort are very reasonably priced. Do not hesitate when booking here.
Great place to stay
Nice little place well maintained, not too expensive...
Clean enough. Friendly staff. Air con. Drink prices reasonable but supermarkets half the price.
I stayed there for 6 nights last week. Loved it. The staff were beautiful helpful. My bed was comfortable to sleep in every night after a big day. The pool was great. No clocks which I found great no rushing. Cruised along with whatever. Kava story telling was interesting. Close to town . would stay again.thanks jacquie.
A good budget hotel in Port Vila. Has a bar, a pool, and a restaurant with a variety of food choices. Only a short walk to town, and close to the national museum.
Went here for lunch as my wife has celiac disease and port vila isnt great for gluten free. The menu on their website showed lots of gf options but the menu we actually got was very different, and they were out of all the gluten free options, pasta, pizza, or bread. The resort itself was dark, dingy and run down. No lights were on even though it was heavily overcast, adding to the sense of gloom. Seems like they have not maintained it well. The toilets were dirty and I noted opened cable conduits along the wall.
A great budget resort! The staff are amazing, food was delicious.10 min walk into heart of PV.
Poor service overwall
Excellent. ...n peaceful. ....
The facility is very out dated and the bathroom could use some exit mould due to the huge growth spreading in the shower, but the staff are gracious especially when Id lost my phone. The Traditional dancing and the Kava ceremony/tasting are fantastic.
I will return to the resort as soon as I can. The staff and service are better than I expected and I had slept in the most comfortable bed also, nice and quiet at night.
Good. But hot
Neat place.
Great people had a fantastic time ... 😁
BP heaven...good party
Hi I found the staff very friendly and helpful and Jenny who went out of her way to help me and my cousin who had some dramas. We were very grateful and releived and thankful for her help. Very much appreciated just shows the spirit and kindness of the Ni-van people. Thank you.Hopefully the string band Will be playing when we come back. We felt safe being a long way from home.
Relaxing
Brilliant resort, really close to port villa and amazing staff
It was really an amazing experience in Coconut Palms Resort, beautiful scene, clear swimming pool and the most important is that the boss Elliot is very nice!
Pool looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a long time.We arrived at 11am and wanted to check in and were forced to wait till the checkin at 2pm, but were allowed to leave the luggage in storage. But considering the low occupancy, Im pretty sure our room wasnt in use, so I dont understand the big deal if we could go in a little early.I know Vanuatu is overall pricey, but an ~$80 per night is expensive for a room with a shared bathroom, and the bathroom needed to be cleaned more.
Luxury without being fancy. Nice short walk to town and close to Australian High Commission. Beautiful big rooms and bathrooms and a lovely pool.Excellent friendly staff and delicious meals at reasonable prices compared to Australia. Perfect for a young family like us.Nice hot breakfast too. Definitely recommend for those on a budget and not looking for fancy prices and hotel.
Price, location, breakfast and staff are good. But looks like owner is now trying to make too much profit at the expense of hygiene in rooms.
It was ok because the rooms arent what the pictures show but they are good if your staying for a few days. And the WiFi is really slow to takes awhile to even load Google. But besides that it was good. 3 stars
A must visit when in vanuatu
Rooms are dated, a toilet did not work, (our room was quickly changed), refrigerator door did not close properly. However the staff were great, always ready to help. Great pool, good food and a short walk to town. Also they stored a suitcase for us while we were in Tanna. The staff make this place.
The fire show is unbelievable....Please tip them well because they deserve it.The food was great.
free breakfast
Great lottle resort only a short distance to the main street of town. Staff are super friendly!
Arrogant, unfriendly, sneaky management - motel is in the middle of slum, between hospital and jail and on unsafe road which needs to be walked to town. Our room was old, with rusting metal beds and bugs crawling all over kitchen sink. Shower a shocker.
What a great hotel for the affordability and location near the heart of Port Villa. The staff were just amazing and very friendly during my entire visit. I was very impressed by the customer service the staff brings to this hotel. Anytime I needed anything I could always count on a friendly staff member to help me out. Thanks!
friendly staff
Sundays are great for the family with 1000VT Pizzas and "Happy Hour ALL DAY!"
Friday nights is always happening, cheap drinks, great food and awesome live band!!!!
Great Pizzas on Sunday and lots of fun Friday nights with live band !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome FRIDAY NIGHTS!!!!
This "resort" not only does not provide what it advertises but when a complaint is made to reception there was a denial that I had ever made one.I stayed in a Queen Superior room which clearly stated access to a private balcony, microwave, sitting area, one queen and one twin bed. NONE of these were provided and when I asked why I did not have a balcony I was told "I did not request one!"Website says American Express credit cards incur a 5% surcharge where in fact this also includes Visa and Mastercard.Perhaps this place was once a reasonable place to stay in Port Vila but the standards have dropped to the current situation.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Possibly the cheapest resort out of vila township. The service is excellent and the rooms are great with toilet and shower facilites, etc, and a balcony for a great view outside. Breakfast and wi-fi and pay tv included. And great entertainment with reggae nuts band and the fireworks dance show on saturday nights.
