Cocobana in San Juan

Locals told me they’ve been closed since COVID (about a year). Such a shame- they looked great! Berlinger is next door though and everything was stellar!

This place has really good healthy foods and drinks. I love their cocoginjibre.. sooo goood. The staff... everyone... was really so nice, friendly, welcoming... full of good vibes. Gracias!

Delicious food and very fresh! I would recommend the black bean burger with pumpkin bun and homemade hummus. The papaya and coconut milk smoothie was to die for, ordered it two days in a row!

It’s a great place with amazing food and service. We had breakfast here (see the pic), we also tried the lunch menu which is tasty and reasonably priced and we ate early dinner too - they have a menu with burger, sandwich, salad options what you can order instead of the lunch menu too. Loved it!

Food is so yummy and fresh. And the staff is so helpful and knowledge about the food.Try the tropical papaya smoothie was delicious as was the black bean burger and the soup of the day (pumpkin and breadfruit). Definitely try this place out. Oh and don’t forget to try the carrot cake.

This place was very cool, fast, easy and delicious! I recomend the daily specials, vegan entrees that come with 2 sides and a drink, 11$!

The food was amazing. I was coming off a fast and wanted several things from the menu, but ordered only two. Both the eggplant pizza with a really nice spicy sauce and the veggie burger were soooooooo good! Then I had a slice of their carrot cake with pineapple topping. I really enjoyed the carrot cake because it was not that sweet. Needless to say I halved everything to have two meals! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and just very tasty!

My wife and I were a bit skeptical first, but absolutely loved the food here ... definitely would recommend for anyone looking for vegetarian/vegan options.

Savory vegetarian food, home-made coconut milk is amazong in smoothies or coffee...LOVE this place. Oh...and very kids friendly priceless

The pea soup is delicious. Warm hearty and not to runny. The eggplant parmesan was ok. It was nice to have all vegan options however, even down to the cheese.

My husband and I came here after a run at the beach while we were on vacation. The food and service was great. We were allowed to sample both pastas before choosing which one we wanted for our meal. My husband loves meat, but he enjoyed the food too!! I had two types of wheat pasta, one with onions and one with turmeric (sorry I do not remember what was in it), beans, soup with plantains and peas, and a strawberry juice. OMG, that soup was delicious!!!! I want more now as I write this review. Thanks again for great food and service. I plan on returning to try a smoothie or some pancakes for breakfast. :-)

The pancakes are delicious and filling. I am used to a smoothie having lots of ingredients and didnt know what to think of the ones here. I learned that you dont need tons of different fruits to make a good smoothie. The pistachio smoothie is AMAZING! Best coffee I had in San Juan.

Great vegan breakfast... but the amount of salt on the tofu scramble and potatoes— overkill. Ease up please. Just ask them to be mindful.

Food was delicious ..they take long but food is fresh....no kind of meat completely vegan

Fabulous vegetarian. For $12 we picked out three items (any combo of casseroles, salad, soup, rice). Also it came with mixed berry juice. All amazing.

Always great vegan/vegetarian food. No one is in a hurry so not a good place for a quick bite of you order of the menu but they do have a hot plate cafeteria type thing if you want that. Smoothies are great

Healthful vegetarian options made from scratch. Excellent shakes (the horchata coco and the choco coco were great!and lovely customer service. We arrived 20 minutes before closing (eek!and ended up taking our food to go, but while we were there, killing some fabulous nachos (so good!we got to experience this super chill spot without feeling like we needed to rush out.

Food was delicious. Awesome vegan options and their shakes are amazing. Definitely recommend them.

Smoothies are amazing here! Been 3+ times. Made with fresh coconuts, fruit, and nuts. Why is the pistachio smoothie so delicious?? I want to eat here for lunch. Ive heard only high praise from friends about their meals. I will be back

Great vegan breakfast - we had scrambled tofu, potatoes, and a pancake, along with a carob shake. Too bad we never got there for lunch!

Best smoothies in town! Cool space excellent menu for the vegan crowd. Different take on traditional dishes like baba ganoush and falafels. Not bad just different. Great sweets with not too much sugar.Priced yes perfect..

We were so happy to find this vegetarian restaurant a couple of blocks from our Airbnb! The set up was a little confusing at first but everyone was very polite and helpful. We ordered from the extensive menu as well as getting daily specials from the hot bar and desserts at the counter. Everything was delicious, especially the juices!

Good friends and great food!

Super yummy vegetarian/vegan place. They do breakfast, lunch, espresso drinks, smoothies, and juices. They also make their coconut milk in house which they use instead of almond or soy. Hours are some of the best Ive encountered for vegetarian restaurants in the area too.

Soul food.wish they were open always. Maybe in the future they’ll have chains of their deliciously crafted vegan, local and exotic recipes.Bless guys! LOVE YOUR RESTAURANT!

Such a cool spot! A lot of local fruits, also so many vegan and vegetation options.Me and my bf had Tofu scramble with pancakes and latte with their homemade coconut milk! They also add it in their smoothies. Thank you guys for delicious food!

Easily the best real VEGAN food I could find in San Juan. The staff were attentive and are more than willing to cater to any food allergies or preferences you have. Our waitress even picked up on the fact me and my buddy were vegan and used maple syrup rather than honey in our turmeric shots, that blew our minds! The food is of course amazing as well!! So good we visited twice! The BLT and eggplant sandwich are too die for and the salads/bowls feel healthy and refreshing. Don’t hesitate to give Cocobana a try, you won’t be disappointed

The Veggie Burger is an excellent alternative!! Extremely delicious!!!!! 20 out of 10 stars.

A great find. Wonderfully fresh vegetarian food with fish in a simple but trendy environment with superb staff and great buffet plates with such delights as fresh organic strawberry juice at an unbelievably low price given the quality and quantity.

Amazing vegan place. Really tasteful and healthy. You wont believe that youre eating so much healthy food. They are a little expensive, but its worthy. Also they have vegan desserts.

Great place, great staff, great food. This was my first time eating here. I got a seat with my girlfriend, and the waitress quickly attended us, with great diligence and attitude. The nacho appetizer is amazing, very tasty, and the two sandwiches we had, were very good as well. Great vegetarian and some vegan options. Ive heard good things about the smoothies. Those are for a next time, since they were out of coconut milk at the time we arrived. They prepare their coconut milk fresh, every morning, so I believe we were actually late for them, hehe.This is an awesome place, with very nice and friendly employees, clean, welcoming, and good books but the door. Also, the staff is fully bilingual, so dont hesitate to try out. Totally recommend. 100%

Love this place! Had breakfast twice here. Owner is so sweet and friendly. I told her about my special dietary needs and she explained it to the cook. He made me a spectacular egg dish both times. Had the best coffee there as well. And we drank it about 3x a day in various places. If I lived locally, this would be "my place"

When you first walk in there is a community bookshelf and a fun variety to select from. The layout is open, but the lighting was dim.We stopped in for a healthy vegan dinner and dessert. The staff is very friendly, the food was delicious, and they even made a custom smoothie.

Nice vegan location with friendly staff. The lunch buffet was delicious. I also tried the vegan blt, carrot cake and chocolate as a togo order. The carrot cake was the best I ever had and cookie was ok; however, I didnt like the Vegan BLT as it was too salty with an unpleasant taste. The "B" is actually mushroom that was overcooked and oversalted and there was no L or T... it was really like a Reuben as it had coleslaw. Overall, I would definitely return to this restaurant

The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. We had pancakes,papas,and scrambled tofu- it was all absolutely fantastic. And the book shelves at the entrance had some awesome finds. The small table with toys and books made it super family friendly.

I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures. But omg this place is soooooo soooo good. If you want some vegan food with sabor, this is the place to go. The daily special was very filling and delicious (pastelon, arroz y habichuelas, and a patty of some sort). We also ordered a BLT, and yet again we were delighted to savor the flavor. We brought our 11 month old, and it was super kid friendly --high chairs and toys were available. Stop by this gem you wont be disappointed. It was so good, we got food to go.

Vegan and vegetarian options. Beans from a can, can improve. They have meat in the restaurant. Not creative cuisine, not 50% local.

I stumbled upon this restaurant right before heading to the airport to return home from a two week trip. This was by far the best food Ive had on the whole trip. They have vegetarian food and fish as well as fresh smoothies. My lunch was $13 for a very large plate. You can select from several prepared options--like a buffet but they serve the food. I knew I couldnt take extras with me and had to ask for small portions but it was still more than I could eat. Each thing I tasted was wonderful. I got the impression that there are different specials each day. If I were traveling and staying in San Juan, I would come here multiple times on my trip. I am not a vegetarian but appreciated the large variety of fresh, delicious food! I also got a smoothie and it was also great.

This is a cozy and quiet place with tasty vegan food. I had the pizza verde (pictured belowand loved every bite. The bean burger was great as well. Servers are attentive and speak English well. Highly recommend.

This place was so beautiful on the inside and outside. The staff was extremely pleasant and it seemed like a family oriented place. Customers interacted with staff, children played with each other; there were smiles all around. The food was great, I was going to get the special but didnt want anything to large and filling so I opted for a pita chickpea burger instead and a coffee smoothie - both were delicious! Note, the picture is of the special they were serving..

Im from puertorico. So I live here, I can say this vegan restaurant is an excelente to feed out hungry! Only because is taste good! I love it and if for me I go every to cocobana! Thanks cocobana!

Awesome!! Fantastic!! Insane!! This place is one the best vegetarian restaurants, the service is just great!! People are kind and pro-active. The food is wonderful, low on calories and at a great price!! If your around the area or in the mood for a day out in San Juan its the best place period.
