Great place hidden in the backyard, the food is very delicious. It’s right located behind the Airbnb/Hotel. The fries and the lemon capers sauce are my favorite, one of the best fries I ever had.

Ordered a lemonade with strawberries sounded good. But tasted terrible it was lemon juice, water and something red. No sugar at all who makes lemonade without sugar?. Salad good but expensive

The food here is absolutely delious. The best vegan burger I ever had, just fantastic! The staff could be a bit friendlier and more motivated though.This about the Airbnb - Room we rented here for a few days:The location is great and still pretty quiet at night. The rooms are okay, not much light from the milk window tough, since it is to the hallway. The bed was a bit too small for us two. The courtyard with the pool is very nice.

What a place! Most delicious food and drinks in a beautiful tranquile environment. You dont have to be vegan to enjoy their fantastic and creative dishes - especially recommend the fish tacos!

Best vegan food in Leon. Also very nice staff and a pool to cool down in! Perfect combo to spend the afternoon. The Kate’s you arrive, the less options they have (which gives the impression that things are in fact fresh). The only downside is that they are NOT open in the evening (they close at 6).

If youre in León, you have to check out this place ! Its like a little paradise in the city. I wish I could have tried all their dishes, but well.. everything i did try was muy muy rico !Best pancakes i ever had, uuh and the banana bread🤤 no matter what you choose it will be delicious and fresh !

Beautiful place, horrible servers - they laughed when we asked about where our food was after waiting for 45 minutes - good food. Only go here if you dont mind waiting for long and can deal with bad service.

Whenever hungry & wanting to rest, Coco Calala is offering the best: - refreshing juices, nourishing smoothies, tasty plant based salads, tacos, & yummy burger meals. People love it & we (my husband and Iloved it too, for days. It’s probably the most exotic place to be while visiting Leòn.

Its awesome to find a vegan only menu in Nicaragua! We had the breakfast burrito, the tofu scramble, a coffee and later on a rum cocktail and everything was delicious! I used the pool after breakfast and it made for a wonderful morning. They play quiet music and the place has beautiful aesthetics!

Great spot for some delicious eats. Do yourself a favor and grab a drink after the meal and take a dip in the pool!

Beautiful place with a great idea behind it. Unfortunately when I went, though I was the only guest there, the waiter didnt feel it was important enough to put his phone down. For once. Not when he asked me what I wanted, not when he served the drink, not when he served the food, not even when he went to the toilet. This is unacceptabel customer service or just call it disrespectful. Hence, no tip was given.

A hidden gem in nicaragua, the best food weve eaten in the last two months. Weve eaten here a few times and have enjoyed everything! We have had all the four veggie burgers, the tacos, and a few other things. Breakfast or lunch (or both), you have alot of variety and options all of which are delicious. The garden and environment is a very relaxing getaway from the city. The food is fresh and healthy with truly inspired flavors and combinations. Delicious health inspired drinks. Our favorite item was the Indian veggie burger for the delicious curry and chutney flavors. The owners from Holland/Nicaragua are wonderful and super helpful for food recommendations. The prices are a great value for the quanity and quality of food. Wish we had a few more days to sample the whole menu! Your tummy and body will thank you! Highest recommendations. Happy eating ❤

Absolutely my favorite place in leon. Amazing food. Everything is just so good and fresh. The garden in beautiful. The wifi works very well. I love love love this place

A group of 9 of us came for breakfast and it was delicious! Some are vegetarian and some aren’t in our group, but everyone loved it! We tried the chai, and the mango, the pitaya, and the strawberry based smoothie bowls. All so good!! The frappuccino was also very good with almond, chocolate, and a vegan brownie on top. We also tried the chocolate pancakes and the fig jam pancakes. The pancakes are so filling, and hearty, we loved them! The aesthetic is beautiful, and relaxing, and the staff was amazing. If your vegan/vegetarian definitely try this location! And if you’re a carnivore trying this for the first time you can definitely find things you’ll like.

The food was superb. Honestly, delicious... Top notch vegan food! I only wish I had found this little gem sooner. I also absolutely loved the ambiance.Truth be told, as much as I loved the food and the space, I wasn’t going to give this place 5 stars... I thought my waitress was borderline terrible. I really hate to say that, but it’s the truth. She literally barelyyy made conversation... like... at all. For example, she would come to the table, put a menu down, and walk away before we could say a word. Whenever I asked her any questions, she would turn to my boyfriend to answer them. It was extremely off putting.. Yes, my boyfriend’s Spanish is much better than mine (he’s Nicaragüense), but it just felt very rude. Finally, after our food came out, I had to waive our server down in order to ask her for salt. Instead of grabbing the salt, she turned to my boyfriend and told him what time it was and she said that we would need to be leaving soon. I was somewhat baffled and thought I misheard her, so again, I asked her for salt. Again, she turned to my boyfriend to say that we would have to finish our meal quickly since they kitchen was already closed and they would be leaving in 15 minutes. For a second, I honestly thought that she was telling us (or more so just my boyfriendthis to insinuate that she couldn’t grab the salt because the kitchen was locked up or something...? LOL So to confirm, I asked her again if I could have it, and then VOILA! Third times a charm.. she got me some salt! Yay.The whole experience though was such a turnoff :(My boyfriend and I were getting ready to leave, talking about how much we loved with the food but were disappointed with the service, when we were fortunate enough to meet the owners. Thank God we met the owners! They were fabulous! They absolutely turned everything around with just a little lighthearted conversation. They were friendly and personable, and completely changed the vibe that we were previously walking away with.I’m so thankful that they came to our table because everything about this place is five out of five stars! I would have hated for one bad experience with a server to have tainted our overall impression.I will 100% be back ASAP. The food was incredibly delicious. Yum!

If you go to a vegan restaurant in the states or Europe youd never find value like this, but you would be lucky to find food just as good. Easily deserves 5 stars after a few great meals and conversations with the owner.Came back 2 years later and stayed a few nights and the hotel has wonderful rooms.

The owner made me feel really uncomfortable. Got the feeling that she felt entitled. A few days later a friend told me that she charged him to use the pool because he only drank a fruit shake and didn’t order food. Weird.. but the place looks wonderful, pity I had to run into her.

I have been here a number of times. the vegan food is delicious..my favorites are the cauliflower tacos and the chips and dips. A great open air atmosphere to relax.

The food here is incredible and innovative, the homemade kombucha is a real treat, the garden setting with pool is so beautiful I often spend the entire day here reading and relaxing, and eating and drinking. Like all the food here, the cakes are entirely home made with the best ingredients, and love and are super delicious. My favourite is the breakfast mango bowl and the supergreen smoothie!!

GREAT SMOOTHIE!!!! Food looked great but was quite dry (burger and fries), it may have just been what I ordered (Nica Vurger), but i was hoping for something a bit yummier from reading reviews. I’d defo say to go for a smoothie and try something else on the menu though!!

Absolutely beautiful place with very healthy menu. I’m so grateful to have found Coco Calala. Highly recommend! Extra awesome next to the jungly garden feel is the pool that is available .. definitely a plus in the heat of León!

This restaurant is extremely good, with healthy and tasty food. The staff is nice and the pool is an excellent addition. Even carnivores can be surprised of how good it is.

A must for anyone visiting León. We had the baja style cauliflower tacos and the nica burger, both of which were fresh and full of flavour!The staff are also lovely :)

Some of the best food weve eaten in Nicaragua. Lovely service. Beautiful garden. Clearly perfect for vegans but that shouldnt put you off as a meat eater... especially given that the meat industry is destroying all hope your children have of enjoying a habitable planet.

This place is amazing! The food is super delicious and all plant based. We had the taco’s and the burger of the day. Both really tasty. You can spend your day at the beautiful. Also the service is really nice.

We tried the pasta and one of the burgers. To be honest, I have tasted better veggie/ vegan dishes than those (for the prices as well). But its a lovely place with great atmosphere and super nice waitresses

Wow, this restaurant is so amazing. The staff are super friendly and the food is brilliant. Really tasty, with lots of variety! I’ve been coming here everyday. Everting is around $5/7 and the portions are very generous. There is a beautiful pool which you can use too, perfect for a nice cool down before and after your meal. I’ll miss it here when I leave!

Incredible food! Great, fresh taste, surprising and perfect combinations of flavours, colors and served really pretty and original. Like it that they have iron straws! I eat meat but LOVED the lentil burger. We came back twice and probably will come back again. Great vibe! Love this place . Very friendly(Dutchowner. Best food ever!! We came back 3 times. If you have a meal and drink you also can use the swimming pool.Are you a couple or traveler that loves a quit cosy place to sleap with jymmy food? Stay here for the nights! They have Airbnb. We stayed in a hostel nearby and spend some hours in the pool after lunch.

Coco Calala is wonderful. I stayed there as a guest (and found the property through AirBnB), and also ate at the restaurant. The hosts were incredibly gracious and and helpful , and were communicative for weeks in preparation for my trip, offering helpful tips on transportation, what to expect, suggestions for things to do once in Leon, refererrals to tour companies that took me on outdoor adventures, etc.Coco Calala itself is beautiful - its a hacienda-style property with lush, tropical plants surrounding a beautiful pool area, with a small vegetarian restaurant in the back. The food there was AMAZING - fresh juices, sophisticated vegetarian entrees, delicious coffee in the morning, etc.The property overall is very tranquil and relaxing, and the spacious apartment we rented was stylish, and perfect for our stay. Some practicalities: the apartment is up a flight of stairs. Also, there is no AC (but there are many fans, and the rooms are spacious).The location is also very central, and within easy walking distance of anything youd want to see in Leon.I had a great time there, and highly recommend this property to everyone!

Beautiful place to stay and delicious restaurant. We stayed here two nights and had a wonderful time. The place is amazing with a beautiful garden and pool! The drinks and foods are also delicious and healthy with vegan option.
