Huge observation wheel giving passengers a privileged bird's-eye view of the city's landmarks.
I bought the champagne package and it is worth the up charge to pass the whole line, have a smaller group of people, and a great guide! I have gone twice and did the champagne experience both times. Beautiful around 16:30 for sunset and night views! Arnie was my guide last night and was literally so amazing with knowledge and photos! He also gave me a bottle of water when I felt dizzy before getting on the Eye. He was so nice and outgoing, he had everyone in stitches and smiles!
This was a fun place to visit! A bit hectic before going in as groups of schools seem to flock there but otherwise how fun! The wheel goes slow enough for you to take in all the sights and enjoy all the views!. The cabins are spacious enough for many people and are weather controlled. With a visit and a feast for the eyes .Do book your tickets online!
Must do!!! Went on the 10:45 am Boat Tour and then on the Eye. Very smooth and efficient. The guide on the boat had a lot of dad jokes and a bit of raunchy humor but quite knowledgeable and it was a pleasant 40 min tour.Eye is a marvel! Great views! 3rd time.
Absolutely loved it. We bought our tickets online and then joined the queue to get on. The queue went down really quickly and once you are on, there is no waiting to set off as it is constantly moving. The views over London are amazing although depending on the time of day, the sun can make it difficult to see in certain directions.
This giant-size wheel with a height of 443 feet tall is an absolute must-do and it is a great attraction to experience the spectacular London skyline! There are altogether 32 capsules on the London Eye and each capsule can accommodate up to 25 passengers at a time. The capsule is designed for everyone as there is a bench in the centre of the capsules for passengers who prefer or need to be sited during the 30 minutes ride.
They cram more people into some of the carriages than is comfortable. Some of the carriages look less crowded, but ours was too crowded. 30 minutes in a crowded room with strangers. There wasnt enough seats for everyone or enough window space for everyone so we were constantly pushing past each other to move around and see the different sights. 5 less people would have been nice.
Positives: it is a nice experience, the venue where it is located is very lively with many performers, foods and gifts. The view of there river from high above is amazing, you can usually get this attraction bundled with few others around the same areaNegatives: long waiting line, short experience, if you really want to see the city from elevated point of view, i would recommend “Sky Garden” as more interesting option.Time: queue can extend up to 1.5 hours, the ride itself is around 30 minutesChildren: suitable for children
The London Eye is located on the South Bank of the Thames River in London. It is easily accessible by a short walk from London Underground Tube, either Westminster, Embankment or Waterloo Stations. As Westminster is on the North Bank I find the walk pass Big Ben, the houses of Parliament and across Westminster Bridge provides you with a good scenic view and good photo opportunities. You can purchase tickets online and is advisable. If you get a fast track ticket, you wait less. The ride is about 30 minutes and provides you with a panoramic view of London that you wont find anywhere else. A must for anyone visiting London.
Amazing experience, recommended to visit at the sun set.Buy tickets for 32£ for 16+Under 3 is for freeLong queue, but well organized and moving very fastStaff are quite helpful and polite.Baby stroller (buggyis allowed until the capsule door, then you have to fold it and carry to inside few steps onlyThe capsule was empty and not crowded inspite the long queue.Seats are available inside the capsule.
I visited London eye again after 16 years.. The wheel is visible from many parts of city, creating very interesting and picturesque combination of old and modern, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, London Eye.. Night lights are wonderful. From London Eye itself, there are amazing views of London.. Those who like engineering, they could see how it holds together and work..I admired maintenance sufficiency, that it was running smoothly, without squeaking.. Even after 16 years. Its a pity there are not night rides available.I would appreciate also small windows in the bubbles where we could get photos without plexiglass.Ride is pretty expensive for family with children.. As a small rewards it would be great if you allocate the bubble for the family only.. Not to be mixed with 8 unknown people.. We were there on Thursday 15.9.22 when there were no queues.. There was no need to group us with so many other people.
Really enjoyed the ride. Second time going on the eye . Great experience each time."Make sure you have a good camera to capture all your beautiful moments and never pay for the pictures taken by the crew on the eye. (Its £25 each to collect them). You can take a better one with your phone for free.
This is my second time visiting the London Eye and I cant get enough. It was a great experience. The views from every angel were amazing and it was very beautiful to see everything from the top. The ride was smooth and I felt very safe the whole time even though Im afraid of highest. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in London.
Superb execution riding in London eye.Must visit and experience while in London. One of the best view of sites in sea shores of themes river in London city. You will find crowded in weekend, if you want to enjoy your visit smoothly and peacefully check-in weekdays.I would recommend advance purchase of tickets.
Cool view of London. On a good day can see 25 miles. You are apparently unable to show up and just ride. You need a reservation. The reservation can be arranged online or at a kiosk in the adjacent building. You also ride with other people, it is not necessary just your group. Arrange for the boat ride. It was fun and worth doing.
An amazing and huge fares wheel with an incredible view on the Big Ben, The Parliament and the Buckingham Palace. Also the skyscrapers of London can be seen from high above. Definitely worth a visit when youre in London. Especially when the weather is nice. Amazing pictures can be taken then.
It was fantastic! Its totally worth the money and there is not a long queue. There are air conditioners in the cabins which keep the temperature cool and comfortable for the clients. The landscape is adorable, you can see a lot of things when you are on the top of the wheel. Thank you very much for this great experience and see you soon!
An incredible experience. It was great seeing the whole of London. We queued for 20 mins but it was worth it. I felt safe due to bag checks and they even check the cabins with mirrors to check for your safety. If you are having a holiday in London then you must have a ride!
This is a great attraction. Not only is it an impressive feat of engineering but the views across London are fantastic. The staff are friendly and very effective at keeping the queues moving. We werent queuing for long as a result. The only reason I havent given it a 5 star review is the cost of the tickets, they are a bit overpriced in my opinion.
"Been there, done that". This is how I feel about London Eye. I did it once in my life and dont think doing it again. It is nice, comfortable, gives you a nice view of London but a bit pricey. If you can buy the package with 2 or 3 attractions, it is a good idea. Including wait time in queue (even if we had timed tickets), the whole experience lasted a bit over 60 minutes.
If you want an awesome skyline view of London then this is a must do attraction. The queue seemed to be huge when we went at 2pm on Saturday but within 25 minutes we were in the pod. The pod wasnt over crowded and allowed enough room to move around while making the rotation.Views are incredible and definitely worth it.
Very good experience. We visited on a very warm and sunny Saturday afternoon. We had our tickets purchased in advance, luckily. Big queues but well marshalled. Great views. Spacious, air conditioned pods were a welcome relief. Well worth a visit.
The entire experience of the London Eye is one that should most definitely be done when sightseeing in London. It provides the best views of the city being close to all of the main spots! The attraction definitely goes through periods of increased usage depending on the time. The ride runs on a scheduled basis but it is easy to jump on one of the time slots of the day. Just ensure you book in advance. In terms of price, the standard price is quite expensive, higher than I was expecting but due to being a student I was able to get my tickets cheaper by a large amount which was a relief (and enticement to definitely try the ride out!).
London Eye is one of those things you need to experience once in your life. Not only because it is an iconic place in London (and the world), but also because the views are really stunning. Tall enough to have a panoramic view of the city but not high enough to lose detail, like the Shard. Go with family, friends, partner. Whatever. Just go! You wont regret it. 30 minutes of pure joy.
We had such a wonderful time! The staff was very friendly and professional. The area was very clean and tidy which made for even a better experience. The views from the attraction are breathtaking! What a wonderful 30 minutes to spend with family and friends and you get to see some of the most magnificent views that youll find in London.
A ‘must do’ and has been London’s one of the best experiences since years. Stepping up into the capsule and enjoying the most mesmerising view. Really enjoyed it and it’s always better to buy tickets online instead of waiting in the queue. You can view the Parliament House, Big Ben, river Thames and some skyscrapers 🏙 Good looking city view in various angles and views. Definitely recommend this place.
Definitely purchase tickets online in advance . We had tickets for 1300, and was able to walk up , ,waited maybe 10 min . The capsules are large enough to hold approx 20 people , I didnt count but it was approximate. Has a bench inside capsule to sit and view is from all around moves slowly enough to walk around . Pictures will be taken as you get on and then while reaching a point of rotation your picture will be taken if you desire . Great views . Very organized with getting on and off .
What a wonderful experience. We purchased the fast track tickets. They are a little more expensive but certainly worth the money, as they alliwed us to be relatively spontaneous and also stood on the shorter queue. Also, they enter a small amount of people in the cabin for fast track holders. As for the ride itself, it is spectacular. You have about 20-25 minutes to complete the full circle, during which you can see this beautiful city from above. It was a bright sunny day which allowed a clear view for quite a distance. There are opportunities for touristic photo shoots but tgey are not mandatory. Highly recommended stop while visiting the city.
Bought tickets at the ticket center kiosk, time slots can be selected, but while at the queue, it was first come first serve. The view was amazing, the cabin is air conditioned and there is a photo zone inside (marked on glass panel in pinkand you can opt to buy the photo once the ride is over. A photo is taken on green screen before entering the cabin, the cost of which is £20. Id recommend booking a day in advance online as you may get 2 tickets for the price of 1. Cost for one adult is £36.
It was a very pleasurable experience. It looks huge just before you get onImagine being in a plane and being able to see everywhere clearly ? Thats how it was!Such great views from high up.We got on a queue to get on it but it was a fast moving queue, we were on the queue for a little over 10 minutes and then we were on the London Eye!It was great fun for the Jubilee weekend. The kids loved it!I loved it!I would highly recommend it!!!
Stunning beauty. Can take the opportunity to see the London from the top at any direction. One can experience some height fovea but it is very stable on the move. Inside sittings are there. Advanced ticket purchase can reduce some time. Remember to complete your toilet.
Firstly, I went on the River cruise, not London Eye. However, the River cruise was seriously so cool and only 14£!! Going under the tower bridge was my favorite part, but there were so many sites we went by/under. Vicki was our guide and she was hilarious while giving great historical facts about everything we were seeing. I would highly recommend everyone to do this, especially if it’s your first trip to London.
Long but fast queue. Stunning views. There is enough time spent on the top, so you can enjoy the city around you. I would appreciate if the crew doesnt try to over-fill the pod with so many people. We were group of seven and they pushed us into a capsule already full of people and we were like 40 there.
Panoramic views of the city. Fun for all. Even if heights us not your thing, try it. It moves so slow you cant feel a thing. Look out and across instead of down and youd be fine.Dont wear green as youd blend into the background for the photos.New feature (since we last visited): security checks.
The lines are long to enter the London Eye. We waited 40 minutes in total. It wasnt too bad of a wait. They have fast track tickets as well, and it looked like that wait was about 20 minutes. Once you get into the capsule, the ride is supposed to be 30 minutes. However, there was some issue and instead the ride was 38 minutes. While there is enough space in the capsule for the number of families they cram in, there are (effectivelyonly two family spots for the photo they take at the end of the ride. Unless your family photobombs another family. As for the views, they are nice. The Elizabeth Tower (with Big Ben insideis probably the most photographed spot. You see a great distance in all directions, but as a tourist, you cannot recognize the landmarks as easily. Overall, it was a good experience. Worth the wait in the queue.
Quite the ride! The views are good. Youll be able to see the skyline of London including: Big Ben, parliament, the shard, etc.Its expensive though, for a relatively short ride!I would definitely recommend to book your tickets online in advance. We did so a half hour before the ride, which was fine. Didnt have to wait long.
Amazing tourist attraction and a great view of London.Pre brought tickets that included entry to the near by London Dungeon’s (would highly recommend)Line went fast.Carts hold around 12 people, so plenty of room to have your own space, have a good view and get photos.Photo opportunities as you arrive and while you are in the cart right before you get off.Would highly recommend
Best 360 degrees view of London. Definitely a must if you’re visiting the city. Better to book in advance to save money, and in a combo with the boat tour. All the staff was really friendly and the lines move fast. It feels really safe there and the ride didn’t wobble
The ride is smooth and the cabin is large. Be sure to stay in the river side to catch the better view. Although the views are good you can catch better views from some of the skyscrapers.Even with ticket in advance you will still have to wait in line for almost an hour. The ride lasts for almost 30 minutes.
Fantastic staff and attraction. Very convenient location and easy access. This is a very busy area, but it is well signed and easy to navigate. There are many services on site and you can enjoy the surroundings before and after the ride. The ride itself is fantastic and offers wonderful views of London - especially if you are a picture taker. The pricing is reasonable and you can also bundle with other attractions. We did find this a bit confusing, until we were helped by a friendly staff member. Well worth the time and cost. Amazing views of London especially the views from the top! Completely enjoyed the flight
Im scared of heights but had no problem with this. The views are absolutely amazing across virtually the whole of London. Pre-booked tickets so no faffing. Join the queue and on within minutes. Roughly 20 people in a bubble, Americans love it and dont stop talking while some non English speaking visitors with rather large families tend to occupy all the viewing area and most of your photos. All in though an amazing experience and will definitely be doing it again.
Iconic attraction in the heart of London. Don’t listen if anyone tells you not to take a ride in this beauty! Its totally worth it. The views are mesmerizing, staff is super friendly and polite, prices are quite reasonable and the capsules are very clean. You can also purchase different packages, we got London cruise and London eye together. Loved both experiences
Its larger than expected, what wonderful views you get when your inside one of the pods and your at the top! Brings a great atmosphere. Their are other things to do around the area within walking distance too.
Firstly, I’d really recommend that you buy tickets to this place it’s view is amazing and has lots to offer.—PRICE—The price is an important thing to talk about as it cost all the 7 of us that went o the ride £205. Which is a crazy lot of money but after all is was really worth it.—ENTERTAINMENT—The entertainment was big, of course you have the wonderful view to see all around you but not only that, you also have a speaker that tell you facts and information about the London eye and it’s surroundings. Finally there is also a camera which takes a photo of everyone inside. (You can buy them at the gift shop as you come out)—WAS IT WORTH IT—It’s absolutely worth it, even though it was really expensive you can get a lot out of it like I explained. However on a public holiday the queues will be massive and may take you 1hour-30minutes.But pushing everything to one side and thinking about the bright side, you will have a very memorable experience. :)
Amazing. The views from the top are really amazing. Can’t say that you can see the whole city but I would say whatever we see is fabulous.I personally think the views are much better at night, you see lights all around, even the day time is not bad either. It’s just person to person.I personally loved it at both times, while on other hand the staff is really friendly.More hygiene can be maintained, but it’s understandable because of amount of people visiting.
Amazing views of London especially the views from the top! Completely enjoyed the flight. An iconic attraction that can be enjoyed anytime of year, day or night, any season and in any weather. The capsule was very clean and additional hygiene and safety measures were in place which made me feel safe and I could enjoy the attraction thoroughly. Very friendly and helpful staff too.
Went on a morning ride and it was quite amazing! I wish that there is a more commentating on what to see or to point at places while we are on the ride but it was quite cool to see everywhere. Some moments it stopped and it was moving very slowly which caused a little discomfort so letting people know that this could happen could be great as well. It wasn’t a very busy day so having less people per pod could be nicer as well. Some people were jumping in the pod that made me feel uneasy so having these rules before could be good as well.
A really nice experience in London but maybe slightly overpriced. The views truly are incredible but you do share the pod with others so if you have a large group you might have to be bold and ask other people to move so you can get some good photos. We really enjoyed the visit and the staff were very friendly.
The London Eye is the Most amazing experience. It is accessible within walking distance of the Tube stations and the view is absolutely INCREDIBLE!I have had the privilege of doing this outing on the London Eye a few times and each time is more amazing than the next.Dont miss out on a few hours to enjoy. The tickets are available on line and make sure to book the fast track pass. Much quicker and easier than the queue.
You do have to watch times as they gave us a tight connection to the next attraction - no worries though as there was a wait time there. Well worth the time and cost
It looks beautiful. Due to numbers of high rising building, we will not seen London from top as much you have expected. Westminster, big Ben look awesome from top. It will save more if you buy tickets advanced as it cost 30 pounds each on same day ticket but you will multiple discount offers in online or national rail coupon.
