Great experience. I didnt have many expectations as I was following friends, but I found it moving, interesting and very relatable. It is worth making sure you spend more than one hour inside. You go through history, while reading /hearing /seeing stories of actual people who travelled by boat. You are given a ticket to begin with, which helps with the immersive experience as you search for "your" story.I will definitely come back with friends.

Once the lobby of the towns railway station, beautifully restored its now an amazing emigration museum and heritage centre, known as the Cobh Heritage Centre. Its full of an amazing array of displays on the story of the Irish emigration from Cobh right through the period of the famine in 1845 to the era of the great liners in the 1950s. As well as displays on Irish naval and military history, and the historical role which Cobh harbour has played as a port, the museum includes displays on the ill-fated Titanic and the Lusitania. Its a very well presented and informative museum. They also provide a Genealogy Recordfinder Service and theres a small cafe and gift shop a well as an ATM inside the centre. Its a must visit.

The Cobh Heritage centre gives a great overview into the immigration of Irish people to a wide number of countries. It shines a light on the conditions they faced. Theres a lot of information so we prepared to spend 1-1.5 hours here.

The current train station at Cobh is where famine victims got off to board the “coffin ships” at Cobh during the famine. It was named Queenstown following Victoria’s visit to Ireland in 1849. There’s a very good level surfaced walk by the sea next to the Heritage centre with seating and play facilities for kids. WELL DONE COBH!Cobh!

Experience itself was good. However the rudeness of the lady selling the tickets was beyond belief. Her attitude and abruptness when I innocently asked for a receipt when paying was quite frankly unbelievable and totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, that is the memory that is going to stay with me from the visit.

It was a very entertaining visit for me. They had live music on - a choir. It was a bit difficult to listen to the thing on exhibition though. There was also smell of cabbage coming from the kitchen. I guess it only adds to the environment of Irish culture. The on-street parking was free everywhere in town in April 2022.

This is where the Titanic last set sail. They have the largest collection original objects and lots of history videos, pictures, and art. Food shops are available at this place. Great location next to the bay and near to several other attractions in the area.

Cobh was amazing. One can spend an entire day here visiting the museums and the Titanic Experience. This was the highlight of my vacation as the people there were extremely friendly and helpful, while being extremely aware of the history of Cobh as well, filling us in on the interesting aspects of it when we strike up conversations with them. The view from the harbor is absolutely glorious. This is a must visit destination for anyone in Cork.

Very comprehensive info about Irish immigration. Fascinating. Really does get into heritage, ships, Ireland immigration (forced and in some cases not). Also, goes into shipping from Cork Port, to include Titanic. Couple of movies playing at different locations. Displays, art work very nice. Place at the end to rest and eat. Location right next to port/sea.

After six days at sea we arrived to the most inviting and lovely Irish village. The entire town felt welcoming with lots of interesting maritime stories. We really enjoyed our walking tour which included a self-led portion in the Heritage Center. Getting an “identity” of one of those either on the Lusitania or the Titanic was a fabulous way to improve my own attention to details in the museum. We loved our Irish Coffee or Guinness which was provided at a very lovely and authentic pub, The Rob Roy.

Interesting, informative and interactive. Includes the history and stories of indentured servants, convicts and emigrants who boarded ships, liners and steames from the port of Cobh, including a section on the Titanic, the Lusitania and RMS Celtic. There are 3 computers to research your ancestors.A couple of spots in the part about the Irish Famine are low lit and I found it hard to read some of the panels.

The Cobh Heritage Centre is a great stop for visitors to learn about the history of Cobh and the Cobh connection to well-known events and disasters. Cove, Queenstown, and then Cobh; youll learn how each name came to be at the start of the self-guided tour. The immigration section is well-designed to mimic the feeling of traveling on a ship. Finally the history of the Titanic and Lusitania to wrap-up the tour. Youll learn plenty about Ireland here, so dont skip visiting the Cobh Heritage Centre.

Great little heritage centre. There is a coffee shop and souvenir shop. The heritage centre is small but well worth a visit. It would take about two hours to go around. It is good for kids. There are plenty of interactive exhibits and models. The centre goes through Cobhs rich maritime history. It covers everything from pirates, coffin ships, the famine, emigration to the Americas and Australia and Tasmania as well as obviously the towns connection to the Titanic.
