Cloef in Metz

Definitely a nice view, not spectacular; but what a fuss.Parking lots are too far away for non-walkers; parking lots more nearby have been made inaccessible!The lookout rack is seriously disfiguring.The tourism industry apparently has a lot of power.

A stunning place to visit. I’d recommend paying for the tree walkway as your views are much more impressive from there.

Beautiful and romantic place

Hard to describe the feeling while looking out over the Saarschleife.

Easy parking and only 5 minutes walk to the viewing point.

Beautiful place to explore with the entire family, including your dog, and when COVID19 restrictions are lifted, the playground and wooden trail look fun. Bathrooms are very clean, parking is 1.50 Euros for 2 hours. I went during the week, so the place was not crowded. Bring 5 cents, and 1 and 2 Euro coins if you like to collect the memorabilia coins. The machine is on the trail. Great place to visit!

You can go up/down to the mountain, there are a few courses. For me I choosed tracking course where we go up to the peaks and it takes around 1 hour, children can take bikes, not so hard! At the middle point, relaxing and seeing panoramic view. Some people take a walk along the river. Beautiful place, for going up to the Top loft, entrance fee costs 10euro for adult. Bit expensive.

Beautiful scenery overlooking the meanders of the river. Good spot for a small walk, equipped with toilets and other amenities.

Great place to explore the surroundings areas. Took a day trip to Saarschleife. Visited the Tree Top path and ascended up to the summit. If you’re afraid of heights then be careful! It’s very safe however you will get vertigo, especially if there’s a strong cross wind. Afterwards we explored the forest paths which there are many. Great views if you can find the right spots! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

The Saar River takes a 180° U-turn.

This place was fantastic as this fantastic wooden construction has a astounding view, and you can see the Saa river and the beautiful landscape.

We did a part of the round trip hike, which was beautiful and very diverse! However, if you come for the views, we do recommend to choose your timing wisely:p Attached the view in December with mist :We will be back in the spring!

Nice views, the wipfelpfad views are wider... There is a little stand where you can buy local shnaps and bratwurst.

Stunning. One of Germanys best views. Dont waste money on the forest path, just follow the path to the Cloef Viewpoint underneath, same view but free. Sun shines directly on the bend in the mornings.

Really nice viewpoint. Not too crowded either. Fantastic view. Although you should consider parking closer to the lower viewpoint.

Well worth the visit. A really nice and informative treetop walkway (10 eur), also fun for the little ones, and a stunning view, overlooking the Saar with surroundings, from the tower at the end.

Beautiful scenic elevated perch to see the beautiful Moselle River turning below. Cool for families and kids with interactive canopy walk. Worth the trip.

Amazing view! I suggest to take the top tree walk and enjoy the amazing view you get at the end. The price is around 10. It is also wheelchair accessible!

Perfect for a short trip with family. The entrance is a bit expensive (10€ Adultfor what you get. Nevertheless it is worth the money.

amazing views of the saar river. there is a hiking trail to the river bench where you can enjoy a drink. it gets really windy at the top of the structure though even in the summer.

Worth the visit, probably interesting for kids :You walk high up in the forest among the trees, and then ending with a big view point far above ground. Assume maybe 50 meteres.

Impressive viewpoint, definitely worth a trip. Its reachable as part of the Cloef-Pfad dream loop, a medium to difficult hiking trail, which is definitely recommended. If you hike there its a bit of a pity that the viewpoint now sits in the shadow of a huge wooden platform thats part of the treetop walkway. In my opinion this takes away the natural charm of the forest, but I cant say anything about the treetop walkway itself as I havent visited it.

Beautiful views and lots of informational signs to teach you about the forest and the plants and animals that live there (with translations in German, French, and English)

If you want to see the phantastic meander of the Saar River, view point Cloef is the place to go. Breathtaking views of river, hills and villages.

The highlight of Saarland. An excellent day trip. If you are a trekking fan, then you have just reached heaven. There are a number of trails along the view point.

Great view, but 10€ is a bit steep. Old one is almost as good as the new one and it is free.
