High-end Westin St. Francis Hotel bar serving inventive cocktails & gourmet bar food.
Stylish bar, good energy, understand its in the Westin St Francis, so on the higher $$$ end
Small but hopping hotel bar. Had to ask for lemon wedges several times but otherwise enjoyed this lowly lit, hip spot. Clientele was predominantly good looking gay men.
Crowded and slow service. Nice atmosphere and good drinks, pricey though.
Nice place for a quick drink, bit dark inside but to be expected. Good service.
What can I say about the Clock Bar...hmmm..just go!!! Lol. I met Sophia and Phil here. Fantastic people. We had a grand time. However, I made a little too merry (quoting Charles Dickensthat night. Crown Royal is smooth but potent. Brandon (the bartender)in the picture with me, went up and beyond the call of duty with me. He helped, dragged, carried...etc me to my room.I dont recommend getting as plastered as I did but..u will meet some unforgettable new friends and will always remember the Clock Bar with fond memories.
Not impressed, drink wasn’t done correctly and the waiter simply brush me off - 16 us later, white wine 9oz 40$ US a little overkill
Beautifully designed comfortable bar inside the Westin.
Nice bar and nice service !
Best martinis weve had in a long time!
This is such a stylish place. The atmosphere was super laid-back when we came. It got a little crowded later, but didnt ruin the vibe. Staff was great. Got the St. Nicholas cocktail and it was strong. Nuts and olive were complementary and delicious. I believe I heard someone mention a charcuterie board, but I didnt inquire further. Definitely a great place to great a drink.
Sorry but a bit tight to many tables and chairs, no place to sit comfortably because of the closeness. Need a place for casual non-alcohol folks . Fact is the clock bar was the only defect of the hotel.
Busy place but made some great dirty martinis.A little pricey but great to people watch
Great friendly Staff/ Owners.. Good booze great meats, cheese and bread. I always have a great time here. also this place is always full of beautiful ladies ;-)
Great bar. awesome bartenders. Lots of people here having a good time.
They still had Christmas cocktails! Got the Grinch. Was really good.
Very nice and very much fun. Sitting with a view of Union Square.
Nice atmosphere... Friendly bar tenders. Great drinks
Good drinks at the what you would expect to pay given the location.
Great small bar with excellent bartenders.
A nice hbar with good bartenders to enjoy some drink next to the historic lobby.
Great location, great place for a few drinks. To much jealousy by the bartenders. It made it uncomfortable to sit at the bar.But drinks where great.
Incredibly creative, curated cocktail menu. Food is wildly overpriced but delicious. The bar is intimate, quiet, comfortable, and romantic. Itd be the perfect date spot.
A solid choice for a drink around Union Square. This is a pretty classy bar with a relaxed crowd, right in the lobby of The Westin St Francis.
Attentive bar tenders and delicious cocktails ...
Delicious cocktails. But slow service for such a small high end bar.
This is a swank, classy bar/lounge area located on the first floor of the St. Francis hotel. Low lighting with dark wood tones on the bar and the walls. Leather couches and leather chairs at the tables in the lounge area. Very nice. They have a full bar, and a decent wine list. They have a list of signature cocktails, but no beer on tap. Only bottles and cans. Most of the beer offerings are locally brewed and the bartenders seem to know a lot about each one. If you’re looking for a particular style, just ask, and they can describe each one to you.BUT, it’s pretty pricey...Bottled beers are between 7 (for the Coors lightand 9 dollars for the craft brews“Signature” cocktails are $16“Specialty” cocktails are $17Wine ranges from $12 to $40 per glass. Full bottles range from $44 to $200 - OUCH!The service was great and very friendly. There are a few food items on the menu. Mostly appetizers, but they also have a burger, a tuna poke, a grilled veggie wrap and two dessert items.
I might have expected to much from a hotel bar. The food came before our cocktails. The music was way to loud. So many great bars in SF. I definitely wont be going back.
66Expected more from a Westin. Service was slow took 20 minutes to get 3 of the 4 cocktails ordered...10 more minutes to get the 4th.The music was loud and not conducive to talking with anyone. I think they thought it was a night club at 6 in the evening? Will not return or recommend.
A warm environment with the ambient lighting. Service was quick. A very chatty atmosphere. Plenty of seating considering the size.
This is probably the best burger Ive eaten in over a year, maybe two. The place is really nice, if a bit expensive. But it has a nice atmosphere, and Seans like a cool place to chill for a while.
I ended up here after trying to go to a ramen place on Geary St where the line was too long and I didnt want to wait.I saw that Tadu had an excellent Yelp rating and thought that having dinner here would be a suitable backup to the ramen place. As I started to walk closer and closer to Tadu I realized that I was entering the Tenderloin since it started becoming progressively more scary as I was walking towards the restaurant.Tadu seemed to be almost at the boundary point of the scariness, so I decided to go anyways even though it definitely crossed my mind to turn back and walk out of the neighborhood for safety reasons.Tadu is an extremely small restaurant, so I suppose I was lucky that I found a small table that was shoved in the corner and could barely fit me. It was definitely packed in the small restaurant, but at least there wasnt a wait when I arrived.
What a great little cocktail bar near to Union Square. We were a mixed group of friends looking for a quick drink together before a show at the Curan Theatre across the street. We wandered into the Westin looking for a bar and were directed to the Clock Bar, nearer to the Union Square/St. Francis Hotel entrance. Its a cute lounge, very upscale feeling without being pretentious. Great place to meet for a date or an after hours business meeting. Our server was incredibly kind and competent. She caught a crack in our glass and had it changed out right away. Our cocktails were excellent and I would come back for these anytime. They were inventive enough and all around $15-17, which is not awful for a hotel bar in a touristy area. They all tasted great. We had the:(1El Beso Ardiente, which was a lovely slightly spicy, sour flavor(2Curiouser and Curiouser, which was kinda berry and gingerish. Towards the end this was kind of sweet, but an ice cube in it made it great.(3White Rabbit, which was sweet and light, but still had some complexity.(4The Woman in Red, which sounds like a light champagne drink but came out more like a wonderfully-bubbly and ginger cocktail. This was my personal favorite of the 4.Id eagerly come back here.Pro Tip: Check in on yelp and post a photo on social media for $5 off your bill!
Nice place to unwind and enjoy a proper cocktail but the service here could use a boost. Our waitress was uninformed and inattentive. And when we tried to order some tasty bites to go with our second round of drinks a few minutes before the kitchen closed, we were refused.
Nice, cozy atmosphere. Great place to grab a couple drinks and relax after a long day of traveling.
During Bad Santa Crawl the bars were swarming so this location in the Westin was perfect. Our server was effecient and checked on us frequently. I loved their beer glasses
Great drinks and nice bar. Prices are very good for being a hotel bar. Highly recommended. I will be back.
The building is historical however the bar feels like it was built in a rush? Modern interior feels slapdash and clashes with the rest of the hotel. Staff is helpful but the drinks are bland and the whole thing feels uninspiring.
We met with friends at Clock Bar in the Westin St. Francis Hotel for after-dinner drinks. To enter the hotel, we had to cross a picket line for the hotel workers currently on strike; crossing their picket made me uneasy, as I would choose to support their cause, but our friends were at the hotel waiting for us. Clock Bar is rather small in size, and still busy inside, despite the strike going on outside. The cocktails here are usually good, but on this visit it occurred to us that the bar staff might be filling in for strikers, as the drinks didnt balance well, tasting overly sweet.
Bartender was excellent! He concocted some amazing cocktails according to our likes.
Very good ambience and delicious drinks and appetizers, beautiful people watching. Extremely expensive, a martini was over $20 each.
Very nice for a hotel bar. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and are able to make anything.
Had few drinks and food for few days. Great ambience ! The staffs were great and it was clearly visible that they enjoy what they do. Food and drink are little expensive !
The cocktails were good but not amazing. I went out of my way to go here but thought the drinks were not worth the extravagant trip. Good if youre in the neighborhood
The bartenders were really friendly and they had good suggestions for twists on regular drinks. The bar is a little small but the drinks and service are good.
Beautiful, classy, traditional bar off the lobby of this venerable San Francisco hotel. A little noisy during Happy Hour, but otherwise this us one of those wonderful, quiet watering holes where one feels comfortable drinking top-shelf booze and discussing world affairs with friends and strangers alike.

The Clock Bar is a fantastic craft beer bar with constantly changing taps featuring unique, often hard to find beers. The bartenders the night we went were attentive and friendly. I would give you some recs but theyve probably changed by now, so youll have to take my word for it and just go!
One of our favorite bars to visit! The one on the Upper East Side is even better well, larger, anyways, so more chances of getting a seat. Craft Beers that are constantly rotating so you can always expect something new AND of great quality every time you stop in. Unlike the beer menu, the food menu is always the same. The Roasted Chicken sandwich is super tasty and the fried pickles are yum! Plus, the bartenders love talking about beer and KNOW their stuff. Ask for a taste before trying a new beer they always oblige!
This place was that plus more! The bartender was super nice and so were the people that were there. They had great great brews! I met some pretty cool people and overall had a good night there.
One of the only bars in the city that has a shuffle board inside of it. It has a divey sort of feel to it but its a pretty large bar. Great for group gatherings and inexpensive drinks. They are close to most of the bars in the mission so its good stop if you are bar hopping.
