Cliffside Restaurant in Saint George

The food was amazing! Cole was very friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular and there was no wait time. Overall this place deserves 5 🌟

With temperatures in the lows 80s, we decided to eat on the patio and enjoy lunch. Vast views from here of St George. We had wine and a Doppelbock 22 oz beer. My wife had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich with an enormous amount of fries. I had the butternut squash soup with toasted almond slices. Food was served with a small loaf of freshly baked sour dough bread. Service was perfect.

Our party of 4 was very happy with the service and food. We also love the view of St. George while eating. Was the third time there and everything has been spot on all three times. I especially loved the butternut squash soup, wedge salad and chocolate molten cake with vanilla bean ice cream. 😋😋

The food was really good but not $40 a plate good. There is a lot of mistakes. I feel like what youre paying for is the view rather than the food. The coconut shrimp dipping sauce was a little off-putting with the horseradish in it. The steak requested medium rare and was brought out well done. They also over torched the creme brulee so the sugar was very bitter. You got to start by I think with some fine tuning this restaurant will be a destination worth spending $40 a plate for. One highlight to the meal was there lemon limeade.

In restaurants with a view, food never seems to live up to the dazzle. Not Cliffside, where the view paled in comparison to everything on our plates...unique salads, fresh and crisp, or the amazing spiced corn on the cob. The homemade cheesecake was uncommonly good! Friendly and capable staff, Taylor made great recommendations! Wish we were staying a second night in St. George. Dont miss this place.

Nice dinner here. The view is the star, whether day or night, it’s spectacular. Food is good too, albeit both our dishes were WAY too salty. Service is welcoming although our server seemed to think every interaction was an audition for a Broadway role and I really didn’t appreciate him calling Scottish kilts “skirts” (if you’re going to bond over a spurious cultural connection at least get the name right, Colt!)That aside, a nice evening. It’s not as good or as special as it was six years ago when we last visited but it’s still a great spot. Just tell the Chef to lay off the salt!

First off, the view was great! The food was also really good! My wifes burger was a little dry, but my steak was tender and juicy. We went for our anniversary and they charged us a $1 celebration fee, whatever that means. The desert was good, but really small for the price they charged.

We’ve eaten at Cliffside a couple of times now. The reservations were easy to make and accommodating. The view and atmosphere are of course, spectacular! The restaurant is really clean (it still looks brand new). The service was very classy. Our server (Trinitywas very kind and very accommodating. I have an allergy disorder that causes me to react to multiple things. She was extremely careful to make sure I didn’t get something that would cause me issues and they were all very kind to adapt to whatever I needed. I was never made to feel like I was a bother.The food was amazing. I eat simply without a lot of sauces and creams. As a result, it is obvious to tell when high quality food is used. We have found that they do use the best and it is cooked to perfection. I happen to really enjoy good sides & appetizers. I found my new favorite. Oven Roast Brussels Sprouts Glazed w/apple smoked bacon & aged balsamic. I highly recommend it.To put it simply, we were treated very kind, respectful and like a valued customer. I noticed that other diners around us were being treated in the same manner. The manger, Trevor, came out to check on us and Trinity was very attentive.At a time when so many restaurants are struggling to staff their establishment, they either are not having that issue or are very good at adapting to it. There was no wait, the food was prompt, correct and as I said before cooked to perfection.Five stars from us and we will definitely be back ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Completely blew me away! Based on reviews I expected it to be amazing but the Pear Pasta was the BEST I have ever had anywhere. Coconut Shrimp was good, Wedge Salad was good, Watermelon Salad was great, and clam chowder was a sizable portion and was also great. I will drive three hours to eat here again! Spectacular!

Really cool restaurant on the hill, beautiful views and great food. Drinks were good as well I got the lime and cumin braised beef tostada. She got the sweet chili glazed salmon. Both were really fresh and really good. The views were outstanding overlooking the town of St George. This is a must that you need to go to. The drinks were really good as well. This is a must try when visiting.

Great restaurant. Had the swordfish, vegetable pasta, limeade, strawberry Italian soda, creme brulee, and smore skillet. It was all great!Went a second time and it was great.

Go to the Painted Pony instead! So much better!The food at the Cliffside is fine, not amazing. It’s very out-dated and definitely is past it’s prime. People still come for the views, but the service isn’t good. The last attempt we made at going was today. We stay nearby and the views are nice so we had been returning every year. We made a reservation over the phone and confirmed a time for that evening. The system was down but the host assured me we had booked. I received a call later with no one on the line when I answered so I thought nothing of it. Arrived for dinner and was told that our reservation was no longer valid, the mystery phone call was to confirm and it my fault that we didn’t have reservations anymore. There was zero attempt to take ownership of the situation or offer another time slot. We were made out to be the problem and the place was in a frenzy. No concessions, no apology for their error, just a sticky note with my name on it and no table.We found the PAINTED PONY instead and were instantly met with kindness and a willingness to fit us in. They found us a table in moments-despite being very busy. Incredible food, wonderful service, amazing drinks and fantastic experience all around. Good food served with a little kindness will be bringing us back over and over-NEVER going to Cliffside again now that we know a much better option exists!

We went here on a recommendation from a local and were glad we did! The outdoor view was spectacular and the hamburger was really good! They have great seating inside and out and the staff was pretty attentive. Food did not take long to prepare either. You will feel comfortable in this resteraunt dressing casual. Overall, I would recommend eating there.

Atmosphere was amazing, service was good and our meal was kindly split for us. The food was good but, a little too high end with presentation with not enough flavor.

Really cool place!! I love this whole concept of being on the cliff and watching the sun set. It was truly beautiful looking at the whole city from above. In addition, the food was delicious. I ordered the cliff side burger and definitely recommend it to others. I believe Cliffside Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the state of Utah.

The aptly named Cliffside restaurant offers gorgeous views of St George and, far in the distance, the Rockies. Our waiter was friendly and promptly offered to replace our rock fish plat du jour when we questioned its freshness. That was the only disappointing note of the evening. Appetizers, entrées and cocktails were all on par with what you would expect at that price point. Worth a stop

Fantastic food, and a view to die for. Food is a little pricey, it was about $70 for both of us. But definitely worth it. Would absolutely recommend especially around sunset.

Amazing food and service. The salmon was absolutely delicious, so tender and flaky! The coconut shrimp was another favorite. The attached hotel is clean clean with charming rooms.

Our experience at cliff side was absolutely terrific. I came with my fiancé on our last night in st George before our big move to Oregon!The food is phenomenal. I ordered the Salmon and it was very bright, wonderful flavor with a hint of spice. Presentation was also very nice and clean. My fiancé ordered the Cajun Chicken Penne, which was also terrific. The sauce had a tremendous amount of flavor, it was very rich and creamy.We ordered a starter of the garlic Parmesan fries, which were also quite good, everything tasted fresh.Finishing with a wonderful cheesecake and it was hands down the best meal I ever had in st George. It is a bit expensive but the menu was so wonderful it was worth every penny.Our service was also phenomenal, VERY kind staff. Food was on the table quickly and was warm. Our server Anna was attentive, but not overwhelming. Huge thanks to the Cliffside team for making my last meal in town one to remember. 10/10

We had an amazing experience here. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and they treated us so well. The food was absolutely amazing, the view is unmatched and the service was wonderful. The waitress brought us a honeymoon treat that they put on the house. We look forward to coming again.

Oh. My. Gosh. This place was fantastic! You get a gorgeous view of the valley with spectacular food. It is a very popular place and so you MUST HAVE A RESERVATION. We saw people being turned away because they didn’t have a reservation and it was so sad because it was so wonderful! You can choose from indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor dining sits on the east side so dinner time is cool and you are not being baked in the sun. If it happens to be a cooler night, they do have heaters for outdoor dining spaces as well. We went for our 10 year anniversary and we’re treated so wonderfully. Our waitress, Anastasia, was helpful, kind, took some pictures for us, and even gave us a small anniversary treat! It is pricier than just an average night out, but SO great for any kind of special occasion or fancier date. Can’t wait to go back again!

Great food and the views are incredible.My wife got a burger which they grind themselves with only the best cuts and I wish I had gotten that too! I got Cajun chicken penne and it was really good, but not very spicy.

The food that we ordered all tasted great. Only problem is that they fried the Chicken Fried Chicken a little too long cause it looked burnt. My sister didnt mind though. The Four Cheese & Pear pastas sauce elevated this dish. And the service was also exceptional. Its a great place to treat someone for the spectacular view, awesome service and great food. It was too windy at the time we came so we asked the server to seat us indoors instead and they are very kind to oblige ☺️

Had a birthday dinner for 4 here and was blown away by the food. Or server Haley was wonderful and made an effort to get tiring information for us. The lab special was truly the best ever, the salads were all fresh and delicious, and the pasta and fish dishes were all better than expected. Beautiful location with food you shouldnt pass by! We had one minor issue which is why the last star want given: on the floor behind one or chairs, against the wall was 2 pieces of food that were never cleaned up.

We came here on a Friday night and sat outside. Although it was rather cold out, the patio heaters kept us warm. The view was breathtaking!Our server, Annie was amazing from start to finish. Her positive, upbeat and friendly personality made our visit to the Cliffside Restaurant memorable.The food was delicious and incredibly fresh; we both had pasta dishes.I would highly recommend this place if youre in town.

My wife and I loved the food and the service. Our waitress Heather was amazing and very attentive as well as informative. The view, food, service and the atmosphere are well worth it.

Best part of this restaurant is the view. Wait staff is awesome. Food is good but not over the top. Lemonades are top notch. Calamari has jalapenos so not for folks who dont care for spice. Coconut shrimp has really good flavor. Burger is good but not epic.

The food is just as amazing as the views. The salmon as well as the pear and cheese pasta are unique dishes that compliment the atmosphere. Be sure to have reservations in advance. Only beer and wine available.The home made carrot cake is a unique take, a dense yet very moist cake that can be shared by two. Enjoy with a coffee!

We celebrated our anniversary at Cliffside and it did not disappoint! We had incredible views of all of St George! We were there for lunch and got a burger and the chicken wrap, both with their rosemary fries. Everything was so good!! My husband loved his burger. I thought the chicken wrap was excellent! And we both kept talking about how good the fries were. They give you a lot too! We didnt finish ours. The waitress sold us on the lemon limeade...I didnt love it. My husband liked it. Definitely big enough to share! It comes in a huge mason jar. Wed come back in a heartbeat.

We were staying at the Inn on the Cliff, and it was Valentines night; every table was booked, so we just got room service, which was awesome. We got the lemon-limeade, which was delicious. My wife got the filet mignon, and I got the seafood chef special (it was cod that day). The food was incredibly delicious and amazing, and you could tell the ingredients are high quality. Definitely recommend! Im sure in-person dining is awesome, but room service was sweet as well.

Had dinner here while staying at the Inn on a trip to St. George with the gf.All in all, great place to eat with friendly staff, awesome views, and a great ambiance. Will definently be back in the future.We had the sourdough bread w/butter that it seems everyone gets, caramelized bacon covered brussel sprouts with parmesan, and garlic shrimp alfredo.The sour dough bread was kinda bland in our opinion, the brussel sprouts were FABULOUS, and the alfredo was really good. Had the tails of the shrimp been removed and more garlic added it would have been as fabulous as the sprouts and for the price, the side salad should be included with entrees.The waitress also explained why the on-line menu and restaurant menu are different due to new kitchen staff including new chef. So for these reasons i would give it 5 stars if fixed in the future.

We love the view, the servers are always knowledgeable/friendly, and food is always great. Cliffside is one of my favorite restaurants in St. George for dinner. This is a great place for a date night. Pictured: the chili-glazed salmon and filet mignon.

Cliffside Restaurant was amazing! We got the butternut squash soup, cheese and pear pasta, and the crispy chicken wrap. All were delicious! The bread they bring to the table was hot and yummy. We LOVED the Lemon-Lime Ade. The Italian soda was also good. The views were amazing! We actually came back the next night for dessert, and the city lights were so pretty. They were out of ice cream, but our waiter (Destinyoffered to replace the ice cream with their berry sorbet. The berry sorbet, molten lava cake, and carrot cake were divine! The lava cake was definitely a personal serving, but the carrot cake was a big portion. Everything was delicious and the service was great! The only con Id mention is that they mixed our reservation up with someone elses so we got seated about 10 minutes after our reservation after asking a few questions.

Cliffside Restaurant is wonderful! Fresh ingredients balanced with color and flavor will have you enjoying every bite. The views are something to write home about as well.

Trevor was our server and was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and great at explaining things on the menu.We were seated immediately, no wait, on the patio in a great spot for the beautiful views of the city.The food was very good, from the fresh baked bread with dill butter to the salads and entrees. The pasta tasted light and fresh, the salads were chock full of ingredients with flavorful dressings. They were both decent in size. Not like other fine dining places with a $30 pasta dish with 4 ravioli.They were out of a few items by our 7:30 reservation which was a bummer. Also they only have a beer and wine license, so no cocktails, but the wine spritzer is a tasty, refreshing alternative. Only other thing that could be added is heaters for the patio for when it gets colder. We were fine but imagine with a 10 degree drop in temp it would be chilly out there. I think they mightve had a heater on the other side of the patio but ours on the cliff side didnt appear to have any.

Great views. Exceptionally friendly staff. Excellent variety of foods. Wahoo fish tacos were great. Nice warm bread.I had to take one star away because they dont save any reservations for Inn on the Cliff guests. So unless you have a car youre stranded without any food at this hotel. I ate lunch, but they had no dinner reservations either time I tried.I would recommend they allow takeout for guests at the hotel to eat in their rooms.

Loved this place. The view is amazing and beautiful day and night. It’s also very quiet outside since there’s not city traffic because you are up high. Totally great food and the staff was friendly. Very much enjoyed our lunch and would come back here if we’re ever in town again.

Should be called wait side.At first was very excited to enjoy a scenic view with my dinner. They where right on time for our reservations, view was as promised, spectacular. As soon as we where seated started the problems. We where sat right over a AC register. We mentioned how cold it was and the waitress said she agreed andwas wearing a hoody earlier, but offered no solution. We saw someone go out and get a jacket. Keep in mind it was in the 70s outside. One of my party even ordered soup to warm up.Good selection and prices as expected for an upscale restaurant. Our waitress was pleasant, but timing was horrible. For a $50 a head meal I expect my glass to never go empty, and food to come out of the kitchen timely. We recieved our appetizers before our bread, had to ask for a 2nd loaf, barely 1 small slice per person. Our appetizers as well as all of the food was very well presented and tasty. Then we waited, and waited as we turned into popsicles. We waited for drink refills. And waited some more. 1 and a half hours later we finally got our entrees. Again presented very nicely. BUT, NY strip was over done, asked for med rare minus. Received med. Flank steak was supposed to be med rare, got rare. After waiting for so long to get our food I was hesitant to ask them to replace it fearing another 1.5 hour wait. Everyone else was done with their meal and still no steak.FOH manager took off for the over and under cooked steaks and did offer a desert, but by that time we where so cold we didnt want to stay any longer.If waiting for your food and refills on drinks is not a problem, then this is the restaurant for you. The view is amazing and presentation is equal, flavor profiles where excellent as well. Just timing took so much away from the meal it made the experience a dismal event.1 star for view, 1 star for presentation and flavor once food arrived.

Fabulous food, fabulous view! Inside and outside dining. Many of the tables are right next to the window or railings, so getting a good seat was quite easy the day we were there. Parking is easy and right out the front door. The staff is professional and attentive. I had the Gourmet Ham and Cheese sandwich with a wedge salad and their butternut squash soup. All of it was great, but the butternut squash soup was out of this world good! Best Ive ever had!

Great table service, lovely view be on the outside deck or inside, and very delicious food. The appetizers were nice, loved the clam chowder, the salmon was wonderful. Definitely a winner.

Cliffside is definitely a place for special occasions or just an insanely yummy bite. We were not disappointed with our service. The waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable to what would fit our appetite best.The views were incredible, and when the food came out it made the experience that much more amazing. I ordered a steak with the carrot cake. The steak was fill d with rich juice and it was very savory with every taste. The carrot cake really topped off the entire meal. It definitely needed a glass of milk with it and even had gold raisins. It was an artsy carrot cake but it was very very good. I definitely would love to go there again. The price is well worth every bite and I recommend going all out when you eat here. Don’t be stingy, and enjoy every moment and bite.

It takes A LOT to get me to give a negative review, but my food was awful. I’m not even slightly a picky eater. Our waitress raved about the special of the day (flounderand it looked amazing when I saw my plate, but it had zero flavor. Literally comparable to cardboard. I’ve also never complained at a restaurant, even if I don’t love it, but this time I had to. All she could offer was a “sorry” (even though I had only had one biteand offered to bring me out some extra sauce, but the sauce was also lacking flavor.

The food was delicious. The veiw was amazing. The people were nice and friendly. My boyfriend and I loved it, this was our first time being here and we are highly satisfied with our experience at Cliffside ❤

Atmosphere was amazing! We ate outside—beautiful view! We tried the special for the day shrimp appetizer and loved it. My husband had the New York strip and I had the Wahoo tacos and both were great. We recommend the flavored lime-aid for sure! Great experience.

Not just a great view... the food is stunning, the service is even better and yes, the view is fantastic. Parents came to visit for a 20-year Anniversary. A big deal so we wanted to find the best. There were many options but Cliffside was ultimately chosen for an early evening view with dinner. Our waiter was very attentive from the get-go. Appetizers came out and were good, but the entrées are what really blew us away. Beautiful plates with great portions and an amazing balance of proteins, greens, sides and flavors all blended together. After that they surprised us with a special Happy Anniversary dessert tray. A really beautiful experience for a very important occasion. We will definitely be back!

This was an interesting place. The atmosphere was incredible and the view of the city was incredible. That part alone would have been 5 stars.The building was freezing. We were cold the whole time and had the air blowing right on us, it actually impacted our enjoyment of the atmosphere.The food was good, amd had really good presentation, but wasn’t too out of the world for what it cost. I had the steak and it was made using sous vide and it made it tender, which was nice, but wasn’t worth the cost of $40. The hand cut fries appetizer were good, my wife liked them, I felt like they were soggy.We ordered the dessert lava cake, which took about 15 minutes to cook. It was really good, but we were so cold waiting for it, that it was a rush to eat and get out.
