8km stretch of cliffs reaching height of 214m, with vista embracing Aran Islands plus viewing tower.
Amazingly beautiful! We were very lucky with the weather tho! ☀️ Although, I do wish they wouldnt charge you 10€ to go up there. It felt really out of place, especially since they differentiated between students and adults, but did NOT actually have a different fee for students. Quite disappointing, but the cliffs make it absolutely worth the money!
Nice view. Tour bus and crowds generally arrive 10:30-11am. So go early. Download the app to listen to the audio guide. Free wifi near visitor centre. €12 per person is a bit pricy. Expect to spend 2.5 hours if you hike both trails.
Gorgeous cliffs. A must visit while you’re in Ireland!
Such an amazing 🤩 place. Breathtaking landscaping. Parking can be a problem and tickets can also be quite expensive. If you plan you trip in advance, you can save a bit of money.
Great landscape, dont forget that the weather can change quickly (have a coat or a strong umbrella, because the wind will return most of the cheap ones). There 2 pathway, one on each side, the right side is great and show you some excellent spot for photography, well worth the effort.
American visiting for first time. Lived this park. So much natural beauty. The ocean. The Cliffs. The waves crashing against Ireland. EZ for paths to the best views. Nice information center with info abt birds, flora, geology, human history, etc. Total total recommend it.
Amazing, incredible place. There are beautiful, fantastic and spectacular views. You need to know this place because I cannot describe with words the wonderful experience that is to be there. There is a quiet hike around the cliffs, not too hard, Good for all ages, and you enjoy every minute. You have to live it. You will not regret it.
The Cliffs of Moher are indeed stunning and have to be visited but the way Clare County Council, (who bought the land around the cliffs in 1970 for £1,000 which is about €15.000 in todays money), is just extortion and exploitation of both tourists and locals. I am fortunate enough to be well travelled and I cant think of anywhere in the World where you are robbed to this degree to visit and view a scene of Natural Beauty. The Cliffs of Moher site has been developed to have a state of the art visitor centre and even a meditation room, but for those that just want to park and look at the view there should be an option to do this. We did not want to use and didnt use the visitor centre, BUT we had to pay €48 for the 4 of us to park our car and cross the road and walk a few hundred metres to view the cliffs... PURE EXTORTION!!! Sure sell tickets to the visitor centre at the door for those that want to use the fabulous facilities, BUT for those that dont just charge a reasonable car parking fee of say €3 to €5 per hour. When you visit for example Niagara Falls in the USA or Canada anyone can look at the falls for free, then if you want to go into the visitor centre, go behind the falls or go on the boat to the base of the falls you pay, which is fair enough. I recommend people park in the local area and walk to the Cliffs to stop lining the pockets of those who are allowing this immoral exploitation for cash to continue. The Cliffs get well over a Million visitors a year so at an average of €10 each person someone is coining it in.
Excellent parking, excellent views, rainy and stormy weather, really nice exhibit and gift shop, food, and the drive up to it is nice too. There are cows on the sides as well.
A must go place to visit whenever you are in Ireland. I’ve heard from friends it can get very windy but we were lucky because it was very warm the day we went, just be careful during the winter months
This is a gorgeous place that is worth all the hype and more. I went with a day trip that spent 2 hours at the cliff - but I could definitely see half a day being spent here.Keep in mind weather is variable here and that could affect your views/experience. Luckily, I went on a sunny, clear, albeit windy August day. Definitely bring some kind of rain jacket, pants, and some comfortable shoes. I would say avoid sunglasses; I was wearing mine over my eyes and they flew right off my face because of the windWhen you arrive, you can go right or left - I recommend left for even more incredible views. There is a tower but I found it very crowded and without as good views as following the trail. There are decent bathrooms on site along with a cafe, but I did not utilize the cafe. There is also a gift shop, but I didn’t utilize this either.
Wow what a beautiful place ! Ireland is truly full of wonders. I was lucky to have amazing weather when i went to see the cliffs. The winds are quite strong, so I walked on the safer side of the cliff. But honestly, a must visit while in Ireland.
Pure scandal ! 12€ per person to visit a natural site with the excuse of improving the environment …a joke ! Wifi & video to secure the view of nature! You should Look at what as been done at diamond hill
Nice experience, very beautiful landscape! Definitely worth a visit there. It’s well maintained, and there are few shops and restaurants. We spent around 3 hours
Definitely a tourist destination but still worth the visit. Even better experience if you can find a spot tucked away from the crowds to sit and enjoy these majestic cliffs! Definitely visit if you’re in Galway!
Even on really bad weather we get like a 20 minutes to get i nice pictures.
Just amazing, mesmerizing views.Took a bus tour from Dublin City centre for 60 euro.To and fro 10 hours and all worth it. A lot of walk for sure so if u have a problem walking then think twiceRestaurants and few gift shops are there along with clean wash rooms. A small museum is also there with a few interesting facts. Its all about view view and view. Sit back and relax and try to capture in ur mind for future apart from smartphone 😊
The Cliffs of Moher are absolutely amazing. The sheer size and length of the rock face is stunning. Bring a jacket with you most days - as it gets pretty breezy - and make sure its waterproof, since...its Ireland. Also, be sure to wear comfy walking or hiking shoes - the paths are pretty well maintained, but have decent ups and downs. Even if youre just staying near the visitor center, its a bit of a walk with steps or paths going uphill to the main viewing area. The main viewing area offers fantastic views - but definitely be adventurous and hike for a bit to take in more and more of the viewing areas and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Its definitely a must-see on your Ireland wish-list.
One of the top 5 places in Ireland! Breathtaking views. Cliffs 220 metres high.
Windy, windy but wonderful, amazing, breathtaking. I cant wait to go again
If you like to be wowed and awed by nature, stop by here for a hike. Even if just standing at the main entrance, the view is spectacular. I hiked around with my wife for about 4 hours. Heading south about 2 miles, then back north to the Moher Castle. All said it was about 7 or 8 miles we hiked. Bring some comfortable shoes and plenty of water. Even got slightly rained on twice and didnt care, the views were too good. Could stay out here for hours taking photos.
A must see if youre on the west coast, even the young ones loved every minute of it . Bring binoculars or a good camera and you can see puffins around June time.also wrap up...it can get very wet and windy quickly.
Costs money to view this natural feature! Approx 12 euro per adult. This is paid when you park across the street from the cliffs. If you were dropped off or walk in there is no charge. There is NO parking nearby. The parking attendant (nice ladysaid the nearest free parking is 8km away... so youre left with no choice. Theres a few gift shops, information center/museum bathrooms and wifi. Theres also a tacky castle shaped viewing area. Most people come only to view the cliffs, so these extras do not justify the price and add very little value. The cliffs themselves are pretty amazing. Id suggest seeing them or others in the area, but try to be creative and find a better way in... or youre gonna pay for it. A shame this naturally occurring feature has been commercialized like this.
€24 for two adults. I dont feel it was worth it. My feet are bad. If you are going to spend time and walk along the route then Im sure its better, but for me who cant go far it a bit expensive.
I have visited this place twice. Always a chance the fog will obscure the view, but worth the trip. When clear, very beautiful.
Wow! Amazing scenery. Absolutely breathtaking. We hiked from Doolin up the cliffs to the car park and tower at the top. Some steep climbing but well worth the views.
Nice and peaceful place ! You need at least 3 hours for a complete walk. Good to wear windcheaters as it will be very windy. There’s a picture museum just at the entrance. If you go by car they charge 10 euros person as an entrance fees.
Incredible views and excellent hiking opportunities. You can walk an hour and a half one way in each direction along the cliffs so up to six hours of hiking available. There is a visitor center with bathrooms and refreshments. It does cost to park. About 12 euro per person.
Stunning! Worth a visit. Beautiful rain or shine! These cliff are just a marvel. A wonderful reminder of the beauty of life. Can get very crowded and tourists can be very rude and unaware of their surroundings. So just be careful and kind.I wasnt impressed with the museum but it had a lot on local wild life. The shops are adorable and built into the landscape. For lunch, I had a ham and cheese toastie with cheese on top too. Omg. It was so good. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Its obvious they are used to working with large crowds. They have golf carts to transport guests to the stairs from the parking area. But its not very handicap friendly. They have a flat inclided portion or stairs. They also have the unpaved area marked with "danger signs". I imagine its difficult terrain for those with wheelchairs or walkers.Very windy!
Very enjoyable hike. Narrow path that requires single file in either direction. Look for the water bottle refill station near the start.
It’s an amazing experience with a remarkable scenery. Breathtaking view and I highly recommend to visit this place if you are in Ireland. It’s a 2-3 hours drive from Dublin. Usually it’s very windy so don’t forget to bring a good jacket and it’s recommended to have good and comfortable shoes as well.
Absolutely breathtaking, a must see when in Ireland. It’s worth the journey and something one should experience if visiting Ireland!
Wonderful walk, although near handicap parking there is a shuttle for those that cannot walk. The cliff walk to the right (Northhave a better view to the south and that is where the tower is. The cliff walk to the left (Southis not as good a view in our opinion. Markings indicate end of monitored cliff. Unsafe beyond but it is part of the cliff path so at your own risk to continue. To the left of the information desk in the Reception center is the museum entrance and not to be missed. Photo opps and movie inside. Vendors at the entrance are expensive.
Absolutely great place, what a stuning views!Avoid visiting in windy days.Highly recommend to visit if in Ireland .
It was remarkable to experience the amazing scenery. The weather was chill with showers. The Cliffs give you humbling moments, just to glance upon the earth. It stood here for millions of years and it will be here after we long gone. The sky looks breathtaking, and the green surrounding also feels wonderful. The walk is somehow difficult in the sharp hills but its possible, you feel immediately rewarded when you see the next view. The air is clean and clear. In the end, you can buy a gift from the gift shop. The museum at the entrance has many interesting photos and explains the history behind the land. The bathrooms are available at the museum.Be careful while walking up the hills and be alert.Have a good company and have great adventure!
The Cliffs of Moher are iconic and a must-see while in Ireland. The views are beautiful and self-explanatory so I’ll point out a couple of things: It costs 10 euro per person to park and visit the cliffs. That cost is reasonable, however we went late in the evening and found that all the shops were closed. While we didn’t go to the cliffs to see the shops, I feel the price of admission should be lowered after business hours as you don’t get the option to buy a souvenir.
You simply have to go there when you are in Ireland. Very impressive. Also possible for people with limited mobility.
Stunning views, nice visitors center ...built into the side of a cliff so it doesnt block the view. Weather changes over the course of minutes. We had rain and sunshine. Very windy so dress appropriately.Bring binoculars if you want to see seabirds below.Fun to visit the little shops at the top, also built into the hillside.Check out the OBrien tower for 360° views.
Must do in Ireland. Plan for extra time. If you can do it without a tour guide I would recommend it. This place is special, and being limited based on a prescheduled timeframe can ruin the experience.
The place is taking your breath away. They even offer a mini car for people with disabilities or for seniors with moving difficulties. The entrance fee is around 10 euro/ person and 9/senior. You pay at the parking.
Remarkable, absolutely stunning, jaw dropping…whatever you want to call them, they’re a must see in Ireland. We did a day trip drive from Dublin and it was very manageable. The drive through the Irish countryside rivals the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher. If you enjoy driving, that alone is worth it.
It was a lovely experience €10 adults entrance free .Plenty of parking . Certain parking spaces for car and the other one is for your buses .The cliffs was magnificent and gorgeous.Dress appropriately as it’s always windy even if the sun is out.Long walk so comfortable shoes would be best. Buggy accessible too .They have the visitor Center with small food hall that gives you loads of portions for foods . The foods were lovely and not much options for kids foods tho.The visitor Center have loads of stuffs to learn make sure to go and make your own postcard would be automatically sent to your own email address . Twas fun.Few mini stalls on the entrance too where you can buy souvenirs from the visit.Overheard someone asking for a tax back card I think you can claim it in the airport if you are a tourist. Worth it to ask. ☺️Over all the place is lovely and the drive to the cliffs was breathtaking and fun ☺️
Good distance for hiking. Awesome sunny rainless weather🌞. Nice cafeteria too within the area. 10 euro per person per entry car included 9
Stunning place! Breathtaking views! Surely deserves a visit! There’s a lot to walk. Usually very windy.
So amazing! An incredible, gorgeous sight that’s well worth the trip. Don’t forget to look for the cave where part of the 6th Harry Potter movie was filmed!
Look, not only is the whole of Ireland amazing, the Cliffs of Moher are incredible to see. Certainly a must to visit, only 2-3 hours from Dublin.
A fabulous walk but fairly windy in places.Went as far as Hags head which is a long walk but so worth it for the views. A bit mucky in places so wear your walking boots.
Fantastic place to visit and a must do if you are in the west of Ireland. The parking is extremely expensive however as it charges by the amount of people in the car (€10/adultso try to park a few miles down the road and start walking from there.
Visited here in December so it was winter. Breathtaking view of Ireland’s coast! Get there nice and early like 9 during winter to watch the sunrise. It does get extremely windy so be prepared to keep nice and warm.
Great experience. One of the beautiful experience. The wind is really strong at the top. Its better to be well prepared for that and go in hiking shoes as the way to top can be slippery. The waves and birds make amazing view and sound. Trip to Ireland 🇮🇪 is incomplete without visiting cliffs of Moher. Must visit.
