A great night at the Pavillions. Saw the Australian Pink Floyd. An evening that was enjoyed to the full.
Excellent all round I am pleased to say, comfortable seating, good bar service.... A good night out, friendly helpful staff too..
Fantastic venue and great shows all year round
I had a great evening here watching the first UK tour date of the Australian Pink Floyd last night. (24/10/22)The concert was fantastic and the atmosphere tremendous, Id recommend the group to anyone! The Cliffs Pavilion hosted the show well, with fast and easy access to the auditorium, great views and fairly comfortable seats. There is a lift for those who need it.Parking is easy with venue having its own carpark but with others in easy reach.Disabled visitors have dedicated parking spaces. The Cliffs Pavilion has a restaurant, bars and the usual facilities youd expect.
We ate here before seeing Dave Gorman who was very funny. You get the table for the evening so avoid the "scrum" at the interval Food is well cooked and there are a good selection of dishes, portions are not huge but we had enough to eat. Dessert is served at the interval. Staff were friendly and efficient. All in all a good evening
Had an excellent evening see Joseph. The audience enthusiasm was quite extraordinary and really encouraged the cast to give their absolute best. We had a very good meal with excellent service and your table was reserved for you with drinks in the interval. A brilliant evening.
Had a very nice meal here before the show. Good idea to be able to have your pudding with a drink already & waiting on your table at the intermission.Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Brilliant service and mealJust had a lovely meal at the cliffs restaurant, they had a new menu tonight and the food was lovely. I can recommend the tagliatelle (huge portionmy other half had the cod cassoulet which he enjoyed, all followed down with cheesecake. Tyler our waiter was very attentive and has a great sense of humour.. The table is yours for the whole evening too (including the interval. We will definitely be back.
First time visiting this venue for an Elvis tribute. Lovely venue with friendly staff. Couldnt get a space in the nearby carpark so parked on the main high street just a short distance away. Will definitely come back.
Great show, and the view out to sea as we left the autitorium, beautiful. We could have been anywhere in the Mediterranean! Great place, parking was a bit of a pain, but when isnt it? Definitely booking to see something else here soon.
We came here to watch Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat on tour, and it was amazing! All of the actors are incredibly enthusiastic, and we saw the understudy as Joseph - you wouldn’t have believe me if I told you he wasn’t the main actor! He was brilliant, and all of the other actors were brilliant too - they all add their on pieces to the show!10/10, would 100% recommend.
This was our first time at this venue. The views are great and there is garden area to walk through or plenty of seating to just sit and admire the view.We saw Joseph and his technicolor dream coat. The performance was very good and there are plenty of pleasant staff to help those with disabilities that need assistsnce.A lovely afternoon out.We didnt eat there as we didnt know what to expect but the food looked good.Next time we might try it.
Went to see Ronan Keating here after being moved 4 times because of covid. Everywhere was clean. We did have a email telling us to arrive early for bag checks but no one on the door to check bags. Told to wear face mask in crowded areas but no one was. Security was not really good people did rush down the front or stand in the alise
Went to see the show Joseph. Brilliant! We were early and able to park very close by at no cost. Got great fish and chips from nearby shop. Good seats for a London quality show. Would definitely look for more shows in the future.
Very poor booked for Joseph taking a group of people I had specifically told them Jason Donavon was appearing in we paid 40 pounds each! Then the performance started late with an announcement he was not appearing that night. They then went on to do there best with a very good high school production. By no means professional .standard standard. Although they did their best it was not
Came here to see David Essex concert, staff very welcoming. Sat in the middle of row F great seats good view.
Great night seeing kim wilde.at the cliffs pavillion southend. Great venue .kim was amazing as always i had a meet & greet with her ..she was lovely to meet and had my pic took with her snd signed pics lps.a night to remember 5 stars
Cliffs Pavilion is always clean and the staff are polite. There is a good variety of shows throughout the year. The train station is a 5 minute walk. There is a car park that is a couple of minutes walk that is free after 6pm but does fill up quite quickly but parking on the seafront is free after 6pm and you can get access to the pavilion from here.
Went last night to watch Don mclaine first stop bar did not have much info when the bar was serving so I was going to order to have one later and was told not to bother i can get a drink any time . Then when I went to the bar it was closed. Still poor Don he could not get the high notes but we enjoyed the second half.i noticed the seating is now stained and worn and the cliffs needs a revamp or something. Toilets we very clean and the staff were nice. Been there about 30 times and I still love it.
Watched six the musical. What an amazing show. The theatre was very big and liked gorgeous. Sound was incredible. However when leaving there was no set exit everyone kind of just forcefully pushed through and made it quite uncomfortable. However other than that it was a good experience.
Popped in for a coffee and watch the tide come in. Pleasant venue with comfortable chairs (no chairs with arms though which is a shame for those who benefit for mobility purpose).Staff not over enthusiastic but pleasant enough. Average prices but proper portion sizes for very nice cake selection, not thin sliver rip offs :-). They do light lunches also.Perfect for anyone with mobility issues - plenty of disabled parking spaces outside venue, a lift if you come up from lower ground level, and no steps entrance if you approach from front doors.Well worth a visit outside show times.
Went to see a show last night which was fantastic. Shame the queues for the bar was so long which made us nearly miss the beginning of the show. Recommend getting there at least 45 mins before your booking. Also didnt help out server had absolutely no urgency about him at all. We didnt even both with a drink during the interval as the queues were crazy for the bar and toilets. Would return though as it is a lovely theater and we had fabulous seats
Great theatre and seating was good. We were at the stalls at the back but still seemed like great seats. As they were on a slant I felt like the view was better than the ones in the front section which were flat. Easy to get everything and we ordered our drinks for the interval and they arrived quickly! Very good. Seats are a bit tight and it got hot in there! But otherwise a great place to go, will be happy to see another show there.
Was there for a wedding in one of the function rooms. Very well organised event with capable staff, giving a friendly attentive service. Food was well prepared and presented. Care was taken over dietary requirements. Altogether a good event.
Had a really nice lunch at the Café, good portion size with a selection of cakes to go with your drinks.Gluten free options for sandwiches and jacket potatoes, staff are understanding of cross contamination so felt safe eating here. The seafront looking glorious out in the sunshine, great views from the balcony area.
Went to see We will Rock You with the family and had a most enjoyable evening. Show was brilliant and although the seat was uncomfortable it didnt spoil the evening.Just need to sort the queues for drinks as you had trouble navigating your way to the toilet
We saw We Will Rock You on Saturday 6th August 2022 and found the theatre was very good. The bar and the snack shop were also good, I liked that the bar had a good selection of beers, including ales. Overall very pleased.
Had a really great time.Really good show and the staff were really friendly. We ordered the luxury package which consisted of food and drinks beforehand and at half time.We had a young feller called Tommy looking after us,he was really nice and nothing was to much effort. Thanks Tommy
Just seen We Will Rock You again. Saw it when it first came out at The Dominion, Tottenham Court Road The show was brilliant. The theatre is good and you can have a meal in their restaurant before the shows. If you want. Lots of future entertainment. Check out their website.
Very modern theatre, easy to access parking near enough next door and great views of the sea front. With several close restaurants its an easy place to have the west end experience. Prices inside for the drinks are certainly London prices. The theatre itself is very nice and it has a really modern feel to it.Staff are friendly
I love coming to The Cliffs Pavilion always a great experience.Small enough to not be overwhelming but large enough for a full house of fans!Great bar and facilities, warm and welcoming.Easy to get to from rail and parking available.Good website for easy booking and plenty of hotels nearby to accommodate you if going to a late performance.Thank you Cliffs recently enjoyed The Osmonds the new musical, brilliant 👏.
Have seen a lot of original and top end tribute bands here... always a great experience. Small enough to get a great view but large enough to have a fantastic atmosphere. Choose the right act and you wont be disappointed.
As this is a theatre and you pay near enough the same price as a London theatre depending on what your seeing, they need to do more with the seating, I always choose stalls as usually its a great place to sit but not here as the seats are all on the same level. I think they need to change it so each row is on a different level like a theatre should be. Other than that everything else is what I would expect in a theatre, very overpriced snacks and drinks!
The staff couldnt have been more helpful on our visit to see Sarah Millican, spoke to us before the show as we had a potential issue with our tickets (not their doingand then came to find us when we were seated to check everything was ok.The parking was free after 6pm which was a great bonus, parking was tight though with avoiding the pillars. Sadly no disabled spaces which would have been very helpful for me.We had time to kill before the show, so ventured down the steps to the ice cream shop and sat watching the river etc for a while.Highly recommend.
Parking in the area for an event is poor at best. Im local to the Cliffs, however if the sea front and cliffs car park are all full, there is very little to find unless you have plenty of time to park in the town. The venue is very sizable with many different areas to sit and enjoy. The main theatre is great however be warned the balcony and stalls offer a reduced view for some performances.Food and snacks for a family of five is expensive in my opinion. Five large slush puppys, two small pots of prickles and three bags of sweets worked out £29.35.The staff a very helpful especially in the box office. Ive been going to the cliffs since the early 90s and a 4 🌟 review is a fair review.Oh book really early for events because they sell out really quickly.
Visit was to watch diversity ,Of course an excellent show ,their beat ever ,. No problems with the venue ,even managed to park in their little car park ..Nice friendly staff thanks ..
We went to see Rob Beckett, great show.Pavilion is in a great location, easy to park, great views of the ocean to sit and waste time whilst your waiting for the show to begin or just having a drink at the bar or in the restaurant. All the seats in the theatre give a fab view, plenty of leg room and upstairs each row of seats is slightly higher so no craning your neck to see over anyone who is tall in front of you.Drinks package available for half time which can be pre ordered and brought to your seat, only drawback was how limited the selection of drinks is, there is nothing for those connoisseurs amongst us who prefer higher value branded drinks, no complaints otherwise, great night out for reasonable prices.
Great night out, watching the 80s music performance. Calling Planet Earth were Fantastic.Parking was free after 6pm, so that was a great start. We were lucky to be able to have a dinner in the restaurant before the performance, even though we havent prebooked. Very limited meal menu but was lovely food. Seats were easy to find. The show was very enjoyable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Fantastic all round.
Lovely place to visit we was there for my sons Boxing show travelled down from Manchester very clean and spacious place view was amazing would highly recommend this place thank you for a Brilliant boxing show 💯🥊💯🥊
Excellent venue for live events, i have sat in the stalls and rear stalls which always give me a good view and i am a man of average height. If im being picky one minor issue could be the rear stalls have no central aisle and so if you are sat in the middle it means disturbing a fair amount of people to get out. I tend to find the tickets are reasonably priced and for evening shows their is plenty of free parking (past 6pmby the sea front.
Well done Cliffs Pavillion Maritime Room staff helping to host Bring the House Down event which was really enjoyable. One member of staff in particular did her best keeping the dance floor free of spilt drink. She deserved a medal that night, mop in one hand, slippery sign in the other. Great venue, great staff.
What an experience!!! My friends and I enjoyed a really fantastic meal together, the views were amazing and added to a relaxing atmosphere; with friendly staff the experience was complete. To top it off, we then watched RuPauls Drag Queen Race - which lol I really enjoyed, the music and venue was electrifying and everyone enjoyed themselves. Will definitely go back for another round of shows ☺️
A wonderful venue! Staff are very helpful, the whole place is clean, friendly and somewhere lovely to visit even if youre not seeing a show. We travel over 100 miles to go there and have never yet been disappointed.
Great night parked right next door,, entry queues were dealt with quickly, not too much of a queue at the bar either.Great sound in the venue. The only downside was rather an unpleasant aroma in the toilet area.
Always frustrated by the long queues for the ladies toilets and the lacking facilities to cater for the numbers. Also it was very crowded at the main bar which was a little disconcerting, especially as many were not wearing masks. In warmer months, people wouldve moved outside with their drinks rather than clogging up the limited space available. Its a shame that other areas of the venue arent utilised in some way to help relieve this issue rather than having rooms sitting empty below. Seating in the auditorium is quite packed in, making you feel youre practically sitting on the lap of the stranger next to you. BUT Alan Carr was on form so the show itself was brilliant and we still had a great night out as always at the Cliffs.
Had a fantastic night with my granddaughter and daughter in law. Fabulous show. Brian Connolly was awesome and funny . Would absolutely recommend you all go see it pantomime are not just for children . Well done to you all
Great venue to watch Paul Weller not too big not too small just the perfect balance to feel connected to the artist performing and actually be able to see them. Sound quality was brilliant, the staff & venue awesome really good night well organised rock on shall deffo choose to watch more live artists here 🤘
Finally got to tick of an old favourite from my bucket list as a teen... Michael Bolton such a legend... Glad to see he can still rock at 68!!! Thank you Cliffs pavilion for making it possible.
Good venue. Old style flip down theatre seats with modern facilities and spacious areas to congregate. Good sound and vision. Great show by the artist too, but hes always great! 😉
Perfect sized theatre for a visit with children. Lots of bar staff so even though full very short wait for interval drinks and snacks that although more pricier than shops seemed reasonable for a theatre. Very nice bar and waiting areas and the outside verandas are a nice bonus to enjoy the sea views.Toilets were very clean and plentiful. Good disabled toilets offering larger platforms and hoists. There are disabled parking spots outside but very few, if needed it may be worth contacting theatre directly as there is a carpark. Negatives was the online order to seat wasnt operating on our visit and the carpet in the auditorium was very sticky feeling.
