A trail encircles this body of water, which has fish, ducks & a wading pool, plus boats for rent.
Very popular in summer, could do with some toilets, the only ones were for café customers only! We had to go to McDonalds across the road.
Very disappointing, lake needs a good clean up and sorting out. Lots of rubbish in, as water levels are very low, which is understandable under the circumstances that we have experienced regarding the dry summer. No one seems to be considering the wildlife on there , such a shame!!! As it used to be a lovely lake to walk round and enjoy.
Its was great, nice walk watching dad try and scale an almost vertical embankment to watch the train was a highlight.
Cool place to relax, lots of wildlife...
Cool place to visit, great selection of wildlife on the lake, people were also enjoying the boats on the lake. You could also buy food to feed the ducks, which is always great to do. Great place for families to visit
Love walking round the many paths and watching all the water birds. Shame the water is so low at the moment.
My moms favourite place while she was still alive. Having lost her in March, we had a plaque on her favourite bench - we loved the view from there, and also scattered the last of her ashes close by.Toilets could do with machines for sanitary protection for those of us who urgently need it, though!!
The area had been cleaned up since the last time I went. That was years ago though. Nice play area and water dipping pool for the kids. Cafe and real ale bar for the adults. Lovely area
Great location, right near the miniature railway.Ample parking nearby, and great walks around (including walking along the seafront more into the centre).
Lovely gren area with something for everyone and ample parking. Theres lovely views over the Humber estuary, good paths for buggies and wheelchairs, the sand pit for a sheltered dig in the sand with seating all round and a wooden boat climbing area to play on, the paddling pool with lifeguards in attendance for a safe dip and splash about without the dangers of the sea and the Cleethorpes Light Railway running the full length on the beach side, with all the smells and sounds of the steam trains. Our favourite place to go at Cleethorpes!
Visited paddling pool with 2 grandkids, was very busy, well organised with onside refreshments. Kids didnt want to leave, not bad for free.
We regularly visit, it never gets boring. Theres also sand pits, paddling pool & food areas
Kids always enjoy feeding the ducks lovely day always nice to take a picnic and enjoy the surroundings
A pleasant public park, popular with the locals, well appointed and well maintained. Includes a café, playground equipment, a "floral hall" and two bandstands.Toilets are at the café in the centre. Opening times might be limited. At the time of writing, you can park on the road that curves around the park. For a longer walk, leave through the south entrance (the centre of the curved sideand head south. The road eventually turns into a path that takes you into the cemetery.
Kids were happy trundling about here and really enjoyed the sand pit just over the bank with the climbing ship in it. The water is minging, definitely needs some more attention to cleaning, then it would be 5 star. Kids were happy to see there first heron though and few ducks about worth a visit if in the area though. We will be riding the train along the pier next time I think that seemed well priced for the experience but didnt have time when we went.
Lovely place to walk with family and dog friendly. A small park for Toddlers and a much bigger park for older children.Theres a cafe you can eat in or take away.Plenty of sea around the duck pond or the grass area
Really enjoyed the rowing boat but the water was DISGUSTING, may be a product of all the ducks (which you get to feed while youre there which is funbut ... got splashed and was totally grossed out!
This place is bussin, I sat watching the old boys on their remote control boats. It was lit.
Beautiful lakes with lots of wildlife inc of swans and many varieties of ducks. You can hire the wooden boats it’s a great day out and you can purchase bird food from the owner. He was so helpful on our visit.Just unfortunately on the main road down there’s some work going on so we accessed through the top road. There’s a band stand there and a restaurant on site. There’s parking too but it charges by a meter in the car park but there’s areas for disabled cars. It’s a good family day out and I definitely recommend you visit and thank you from myself and my photographer for letting us shoot there was lots of fun 🥰
Nice place to go with my daughter and fiancé, you can have a lovely walk around the lake or hire out a canoe or paddle boat for a cheap price if you want relaxation and a it of fun on the lake. You have pubs and fast food restaurants either on the lake or no less then a 2 minute walk. I would highly recommend this place
Cleethorpes Boating Lake is a large beautiful area with many varieties of birds including geese, swans and ducks that are a joy to feed (dont give them bread buy bird food). There are rowing boats and pedalos for hire and a nice restaurant that has a beer garden with lovely views of the lake.
Large boating lake that seriously requires cleaning up,the surrounding area is a bit untidy, complete bare areas of what use to grassed The walkway around the boating lake is a mess with bird dropping and feathers littering the place.😬😡There is a cafe and a nice art gallery defo worth a visit.👍Seen people fishing in the lake, also you can hire a rowing boat and other types of boats,we thought the prices are quite steep 😳.Requires a major clean up,please. This place was beautiful not that many years ago when we would bring our kids, real shame to see it like this.
Lovely day by the sea, not busy at all, probably dye to rail strikePopped into Willys micro brewery for a swift 1 or 2 & very nice too, food also looked good they were servingWent on to Becketts fish bar, small fish n chips £5.35..bargai & really tasty.Finished off with a £ on 2p slots..what more does one need ??RNLI having new headquarters built near existing building so road blocked but no issuesGreat day all round
Lovely day out. Dog enjoyed it!
Lovely boating lake. Hire a row boat or the new 4 seater swan shaped pedalo.Lots of ducks and swans live here and plenty of opportunities to feet themYou can actually swap a loaf of bread for some good quality bird feed for the ducks and swans. They have at the moment a resident black swan which is cool to see.A little cafe sells refreshments here.Located a nice stroll from the main beach.Plenty of parking here. You must pay of course.Next door to it is a small lido for the kids to splash around in.
Rowing boats were out, model boats were out, geese were out, swans were out. 1 star lacking as the wind was also out!
What an absolute gem of a place, beautifully kept, my kids went on the pedalos and loved it! Good prices and friendly owner...highly recommend
Lovely little walk round the boating lake and take in all the birds ducks and geese or jump in a boat and get on the water. Close to sea front with a nice stroll either on the walkway or on the beach front.Lucky to have a beautiful black swan here at the moment to have a look at and get some great photos
Lovely and quiet early morning. The wildlife are very tame and slowly get out of your way as you pass.
Very, very beautiful 😍 park , here is black swan 😍 ❤️ 👌 and a lot of different birds 🐦 here is nice playground for kids, also nice and not expensive car park 🚗 around this park available McDonalds and other nice shops and restaurants ❤👌 enjoy - this beautiful park 😀 ✨️😎
Lovely place, especially when its nice weather. Got a couple of bird feeding from the cafe and fed the queese and ducks.
Its a lovley place to sit peacefully and watch all the birds. I counted 10 different species, including a black swan. Lots of parking right in front. And the beach just a stones throw away too. The cafe is really good, its changed since I last went to it. Trendy Tap house with interesting craft beers and huge gorgeous scones. Great service smiley happy, helpful staff.
Lovely walk round the boating lake, lots of lovely ducks to see. Lots of swans this year. Boats and pedalo for hire. Excellent path all the way smooth enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Always a lovely place to beBoats for hire, dog friendly. Shop and cafe restaurant, selling local goods and lovely food. The famous black swan is often there at the minute. Area is lovely and clean from litterDuck and bird food available in the shopSwap your bread for it. Im there at least 3 a week when on holiday. Carnt beat it. Light coastal railway next door to. Also dog friendly
Wonderful place to commune with nature.
Went for a lovely walk around the lake on Saturday morning with family. I’m not local to the area so they were introducing us to their home town, and it was really beautiful! Very clean and well-kept, the lake itself was stunning. Lovely place to go for a scenic walk; we shall be returning in the summer for a picnic on the green for sure!
Nice to walk around with children or your dog 🐕, and theres also a place beside the lake to buy an ice cream🍦 and a bag of bird seed for 50p to feed the ducks 🦆, and you can even hire a little boat 🛶 to go around it as well x
Great place for a relaxing walk. Plenty of seats and lots of grass areas for picnics. Theres a good cafe that serves great pizza. Theres also boats for hire.
Its really lovely here, I hired a pedalo it cost me £9 for 30 minutes and it was great fun, I would however recommend buying duck food as they follow you around alot and come up to your boat. Staff are not too strict on timings either so you can go over your time.
Great walk around the lake can take rowing boats, canoes or pedalos out on the lake. Beautiful place to relax
The Jungle is a great place to visit. The staff are very friendly and the animals are very well cared for. I would highly recommend a visit.
Outstanding place to stroll with your loved one, or even your wife!!, or better still someone elses wife!! Flanked by the dunes of the Humber estuary, the lake has plenty of birds to feed, there is a childrens paddling pool area, only open from July because alas, its not heated. Take a trip on the miniature railway, to the end of the lake and back, its not expensive at all. Or even hire a boat for a relaxing row around the lake. Take the children, grandchildren, borrow someone elses, (as long as you give them back at the end of a daytheres nothing nicer than seeing the wonder on a childs face as they feed the ducklings. Have a rest halfway round at the cafe, grab a coffee, beer, ice cream or pizza while you sit and relax. It really is a jewel in Cleethorpes crown.
I live in Cleethorpes anyway and I have always found the boating lake really pretty especially in the summer.. Its so peaceful and quiet up that way . Its amazing always helps with my mental health problems. I love the boating lakeXx
Lovely little place for a wander and a picnic there is a cafe that is normally open pre covid and the toilets are open still, situated next to a large car park not far from the jungle zoo, a KFC, McDonalds, a cinema and a few other shops are just across the road
Loved it. Beautiful place to visit. You need a full day to get the most of this lovely spot.
Great place for a bit of family fun. The kids loved getting on the paddle boats, feeding the ducks and playing at the playground. It wasnt busy during our visit, the toilets were clean
The area is nice enough, however water looked very dirty. Paths around lake are narrow, making social distancing difficult at times.
Nice place when is warm outside. Very close to the beach also. Great for a walk with the kids as well.
This boating lake is a wonderful family place to visit. The boats are easy to move around the lake and for 50p ago you can buy a bag of bird seed to feed the ducks. This is a relaxing place to come and unwind. Carparks are nearby. There are benches to relax on by the lake if you dont want to hire a boat.
This is a beautiful place to take a walk. We went on a rainy day with two kids and just slowly walked around the footpaths. It was clean and quiet. The kids loved the sandpit and play area and we loved the scenery.
