The food was bland. Especially the starter of chicken wings. It just had colour but no flavour

While the staff are generally good, the lady proprietor is one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. She hit my car and was completely unapologetic . Just rudely offered Ksh 500 for repairs!

This was my first time in the particular clay oven and I thought the food was alright, but we found a strand of hair in one of the meals and we alerted the wait staff to let the kitchen know. No apology was received, the kitchen or management didn’t even acknowledge it or anything which was a bizarre experience. I wouldn’t go back.

The service was fast, food was fantastic.I had chickens spring rolls, and butter chicken and naan (mild spice). You may want to order a higher level of spice if you like your food spicy.Portions were big enough for one but not for two.

Very Good Indian restaurant in Nairobi . The food is so tasty and the place is well maintained. The staffs are very professional. They serve Veg and Non veg dishes . Highly recommended place .

Highly recommend! The food was incredible, the flavors were bursting and I could tell it was very authentic. Service was good, and food came out in very decent time. It’s just a shame it’s located in a hard to find place but definitely worth the search.

Best Indian meal I’ve ever had. Everything was so delicious. We had samosas, aloo gobhi, channa masala, garlic nan and basmati rice. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was very clean. I highly recommend!

Food is good. But the price is bit expensive. Its like 3 times than our Indian Restaurant. One bottle of water is of 300 KSh.

great dinner experience! Though a little tough to find with the new highway, it is well worth it!!! Food was very tasty with a lot of great vegetarian options. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. It was a colder night, and they set up a small heater for us without having to ask. Had 2 starters and 3 main courses and everything was delicious. highly recommend.

Great food. Food was delicious and service was great. Ambience is ok but not great. They were at the top floor before which had great views but now they are at the ground floor with not so good views. I think due to COVID etc they had to down grade.

The seafood, Yellow dhal. Jeera rice. Very pleasant to the palate. Tasted fresh ingredients with every bite.

Biryani was really good. Turbo naan was obscenely turbo though, lol. Butter chicken was pretty standard. Good food but maybe better for dine in...

I ordered poussin chips which I got soooo soggy and I ordered butter chicken and the chicken tasted soooo bad!!! It tasted like it wasnt fresh had a bad smell on it till I felt like puking. Ordering online from clay oven was the worst idea as they dont send fresh food and dont read comments !!!!

When you call for a delivery. they always want you to pay to someones personal number. Which I am not comfortable with. When I went there I see they have a buy goods and staff was not happy when I decided to pay on card.

I have visited the Clay Oven on three occasions now. Each time has been a devoted trip planned before even arriving in Kenya.The first time was on Valentines Eve. The place was very busy and the server was totally overwhelmed. However they still produced a very good and tasty selection of food making up for the very delayed service.The second visit was by far our best. The food was good to very good and service okay. A couple of weeks back was our final visit. Our flight was delayed by a good 4 hours from Diani Beach. We were meeting two other friends there for ones birthday celebration. Clay Oven advertises to be open until 11pm so we followed through with the function. We arrived at 9:30pm to find 3 tables being occupied at the restaurant so felt our service should be great. Unfortinately, the meal and night was a disaster. The server spent more time and attention preparing to close up then he did in taking care of our needs. We waited a good 10 minutes before having our order taken. As for the BDay- dessert part, we were informed we arrived to late for dessert, but sent out a small container of 5 or so sugared cake balls? After traveling for 2 days and placing our time around the Clay Oven as our big event in Nairobi, we were all very disappointed. The guests we invited were truly not happy even though they tried not to show it. Never again! Thankfully we paid a visit to Open House the following night and were treated as kings.

Lovely Indian food in the middle of hussle bussle Nairobi. Bit hard to find with the construction on the highway going on but well worth the adventure of getting there.

First time I ordered have to say simply fantastic authentic taste creamy means creamy tender chicken fresh salad amazing chilly sauce in short thank you made my dinner perfect and yes is worth to pay a bid extra

Ordered online through Glovo, I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant. The packaging was bad and the Mutton Biriyani portion has hardly enough for 1 person.I would call this a total rip off. I will definately inform every one in my circle not to order or even bother going there

5k plus for two people and rice is damn expensive with 550ksh but nice food. Waiters impersonal unless owners check on you. Generally cool if you have money

This restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly with extraordinarily amazing food.The service offered is excellent with courteous and readily available staff. We were particularly served very well by Leonard.The ambience is also commendable with very minimal and generally unobtrusive sound from the speakers.I highly recommend.

Its an easily accessible Indian restaurant along Waiyaki Way in Westlands. There are a variety of Indian classic and yummy dishes, great service and friendly staff. I must say that I enjoyed. Kudos.

Food was amazing as well as the juice but we asked for 1000 ksh main course what is included? They told us rice or naan bread but all the naan was extra in für bill so at the end de paid 700 ksh more then expected.

Exceeded expectations in terms of that taste of food.. We enjoyed a delicious meal of Mix Vegetables and Malai KoftaThe service was prompt and the staff was courteous..Only negative was the dessert (Gulab jamunwhich didnt feel very fresh..

The food was amazing, just the perfect amount of spice. Plus the waiters really knew their way around the menu and recommended great dishes..I loved their prices too! Super affordable, including their drinks menu which had quite a variety of drinks

I love the fact that clay oven has variety. Iv had several dishes like butter chicken, and cauliflower and potatoes, lentils etc, which were really good. My absolute disappointment was with the biryiani, both the vegeterian one and the mutton one. No salt, no flavour, very boring. Definitely not worth it. For an Indian restaurant this is an absolute shame.

Nice Indian restaurant, serving a variety of Indian dishes. The restaurant has enough sitting area and is not usually crowded. Popular with small groups. They serve alcoholic drinks too and have decent pricing for food and beverages. Service is pretty fast and pleasant. The only down turn are the bathrooms which are two staircase sets away from the restaurant and could use some renovation.

This place has delicious Indian and Chinese cuisine . They have good customer service , their meals are fresh and delicious. They serve variety of drinks from fresh juices to soft drinks, they also serve alcoholic drinks . it is also a good place to meet or a date
