Всё было прекрасно! Отличный номер, вкусный ужин (очень понравился чёрный хлеби завтрак (вкусные панкейки)! Музей жутковат, но это история, было интересно.Кровать в эконом на 140 см не раздвигается.

Fantastiskt bra frukost, trevlig personal och mycket mer intressant historia kring hotellet än majoriteten av dess konkurrenter. Missa inte det lilla muséet i källaren.

Strul med bokningen via appen som personalen löste fint. Oorganiserat vid kvällens buffé men god mat. Bra rum, saknade dock klädhängare innanför dörren, var tvungen att gå in i rummet till garderoben. Bra frukost, trevlig personal, bra parkering och bra läge.

Ligger ganska centralt och det är trevligt med kaffe och mat som bjuds på även om det inte är det samma som man får om man går ut på restaurang, men det är bra mat så man kan inte klaga.

Mysigt, fint och fräscht hotell med god frukost och perfekt läge!

30 minuter för att äta en hotellfrukost där man dessutom behöver boka tid gör att vi väljer ett annat hotell nästa gång

Har varit här flertalet gånger senaste åren och trivts bra. Aldrig känt något behov av att prova något annat.

Så trevligt bemötande och omhändertagande på detta hotell. Det var över två år sedan jag bodde här senast och jag saknar den thai inspirerade middagen som fanns här innan. Men, det är fortfarande det enda hotell som ringt mig och frågat om jag kommer att hinna fram till middagen eller om de skall spara undan mat till mig, det kallar jag service. Bra med parkering utanför och fina ställen att promenera på runtomkring. Lyhört, det är väl det enda negativa jag kan komma på.

Trevligt hotell med intressant historia. Lite ont om plats i matsal, reception och gym, rummet är helt ok, högt i tak, sängen är 140 bredd. Dårlig belysning och lyhört drar ner betyget. Bra läge med gångavstånd till restauranger å köpcenter inne i stan. Frukosten är klassisk och välsmakande.

Trevligt hotell med ganska små rum och smala sängar 2x 80cm, lite dålig belysning också. Väldigt trevlig personal särskilt i receptionen. God frukost med mycket att välja på. Även middag och eftermiddagsfika ingår. Fängelsemuseum att titta på. Gratis parkering finns också.

One of my favorite hotels in Karlstad. Its a very unique hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Secure parking at additional cost under cover. Great location walking distance to center. Free evening meal and breakfast.

Stayed here in October 2020. It was a very pleasant stay. They had implemented an hygiene strategy for the hotel and breakfast.

I really liked that dinner was included in the price! Simple dinner but still nice and good value for money. Staff was really friendly and helpful adding an "at home" feeling during our stay. Rooms were quite small and the bar and the gym also. Still, not a big problem since the staff managed to find good workarounds to accommodate our stay.

Cozy, lovely place. Cheap parking (120sek./night), dinner included. Coffee is serving all day long. Close to centre. Anna was super friendly and professional!

Good hotel.

In the summertime, on a sunny and warm day: IF they want to give you a room on the 4th floor: REFUSE IMMEDIATELY and request a ro change! Those rooms are incredibly hot with no aircon - its nearly impossible to get some sleep.The free diner buffet does not make up for that trust me!

Cozy place!

Good room, somewhat ok breakfast. The included dinner was not really as expected, but the soup was great. The staff was beyond expectation.

The old prison and mental hospital turned in to a hotel. Nice cozy rooms. Friendly staff.

Great place...husband bit disturbed by noise of railway and traffic close by but it was quite overnight.

Free breakfast, Dinner and coffee at 3pm. The rooms are quaint and modern.

It is home away form home. It is like living in a museum.

Ive stayed here for 5 nights in a row and can say Im very happy with the experience. My frst time in Karlstad I was so suprised to find out this building was once a jail! They have a meusem with actual jail cells on the lower levels that are a must see. I was also suprised to find out both breakfast and supper buffets are included! All of the food Ive had was excellent and presented very well. The front desk staff have been super freindly and happy to speak English with me while helping with things to see and do while here. The rooms are clean and quite nice. Ive also found it to be quiet. I would stay here again no question.

A simple hotel with a history as a prison. Clean and nice roms with soft beds. We stayed at the top and the room was very hot. The breakfast was fresh and had what you might expect.

MY LUMBERYARD IS CLEANER THAN THIS HOTEL!!!The badroom was not clean and there was a pile of dust > 1 cm thick on the heating-radiators. we know, but we cannot clean it was the front-desk reaction. Well, what was I was suprised...: when I visit a 1365 SEK = about 160 euros per night hotel I expect it to be basicly clean!(mind you, I was there in the summertime. But when the radiators are heating up... the dust will get in the air-it will get smelly and most people cannot stand it and start sneasing.)Second: like in all Clarion hotels the internet encription is uselessly difficult: you need to be a professor to understand it (and a new 20 digits code is supplied every day. Scandic and Best Western have a better login-system)As long as this problem is not solved - this hotel is a NO-GO area!
