Exquisite British Hotel with wonderful bars, restaurants and accommodation.Be sure to visits The Fumoir, it’s a beautiful Art Deco bar, once the ‘smoking room’ for the well-to-do of London in the 1920’s. Nowadays it’s worth a visit for one of the amazing cocktails on offer.
Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous city.Staff was so knowledgeable, and friendly.
Outstanding service, very friendly staff, excellent food and all creature comforts you could want in a hotel. Very large hotel.
Outstanding as you would expect. The bed was so comfortable and the room and bathroom clean and altogether immaculate. As you would expect nothing is provided without a price, and the tea and bottle of water requested of the guy who showed us our room was quite pricey. It was our wedding anniversary, hence the night stay, and whilst we stated this was the reason we had booked at check-in, we really did not expect the complimentary bottle of champagne which we found placed in our room on our return, courtesy of the reception staff. We were also having the afternoon tea, which was so good it has now coloured our view of all subsequent afternoon tea events in various other London venues we have been too, so I would suggest you do those before you go here 😄
An unbelievable experience. Centrally located, wonderful large, comfortable rooms. Attention is second to none. Rooms are huge with super facilities in the rooms and around the hotel. A truly relaxing experience.
In the heart of Londons Mayfair, its located an emblematic building founded in 1812. Visited by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the hotel soon becomes a favorite of heads of state and royalty throughout Europe. With an impeccable, intuitive and highly tailored service. Home to breathtaking rooms and suites. From Londons finest afternoon tea in the Foyer and Reading Room to vintage champagnes and rare spirits at Claridges Bar or after-dinner drinks in the Fumoir, all are part of the hotels unique splendor.
Spent an evening there for a party in the music Hall. What a place. Delightful service and the food was tremendous!
I would like to leave this review specifically for Todd who was our splendid waiter in the Foyer and Reading Room yesterday (9/10/22). Todd really made our visit something special! Todd explained everything so beautifully and he was mesmerising to listen to! He truly cared about our experience and I would say our experience was a thousand times better because this lovely gentleman was our waiter. Thank you so much Todd for making sure our gift from Chloe was even more special. We didnt share our reasons for being there until the end of our afternoon tea and even until that point it was as if you knew how important this experience was to us. We will never forget it and never forget you Todd. Oh and as for the afternoon tea, it was absolutely superb! Thank you. :)
I didn’t stay at the hotel, but had afternoon tea. This was an experience I’ll never forget - incredibly kind staff, delicious food, and beautiful interior. If I ever have any friends visit London I’ll urge them to have afternoon tea here
Afternoon tea is probably the very best. The room is magical and the variety of flavours stunning. Excellent and unforgettable.
Disappointed in this hotel. For $1000 per night, I expect more from the rooms. No coffee or tea in room. Room was fairly small and looked out on an interior wall/courtyard of hotel. Shades had to be closed the whole time as it was facing other rooms. The room layout was such that there wasn’t room for a didn’t have a comfortable chair or couch to sit or read on. Additionally, hotel was very inflexible about a late checkout. There are better options in London.
Beautiful place attended my sisters wedding and had a fantastic time, best place to be xxxx
Came for a birthday celebration. Lovely food, really friendly staff.
The pinnacle of British hospitality…stayed here for 2 weeks and Claridge’s felt like home. We were truly sad when we had to leave at the end of our trip. The decor around the hotel is beautiful, chic yet never failing to remind you of how historic this place is. Service is simply impeccable. The gym is brand new, very well equipped (with refreshments as well ☺️). Not to mention one of the best locations in town - 3 mins to bond street tube station, stone’s throw away from new bond street & regent street.Only few weeks removed from our stay here & missing it already.
Its was lovely and beautiful to join my friends for her 30 year birthday partyAnd a big thanks to the staffs. they extraordinary friendly and the concierge team for making our stay so special.Truly memorable and also a special mention to the front door team too, great guys couldn’t do enough for us 🤩Much love and happy birthday to my friend of life Oluwaseun Ayomi Oluwanifesi 💕😘😘
Very impressed by service and friendly staff room top quality beautiful decor with lots of extra facilities
The people who work in the Foyer are so lovely. I sadly had to cut my afternoon tea short because of a terrible migraine that, with my awful luck, hit at the start of my reservation. I had felt awkward asking to close out early, but they were so accommodating. Multiple servers came to check up on me as I waited to make sure I was doing okay and could get home safely. I hope to go back some time to enjoy the full experience, will never forget how kind they were to me.
Amazing place for afternoon tea, Their scones my favorite 😋
I had an afternoon tea here a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. Todd was the waiter looking after us and he made our day one we will remember. Thank you Todd! Everyone was very attentive, delightful and kind. The fudge you are given at the end of the tea made my day. See you soon!
Went for the afternoon tea. What a treat and this should be on everyones bucket list. The staff are excellent and couldnt be faulted, they treat you as though you are the most important person they have met and their knowledge of teas was spectacular as they guide you through pairing tea with the food. The food was excellent and very tasty. I would wholeheartedly recommend the afternoon tea to everyone and I look forward to going back.
Is walking past the door and being treated politely by one of the guests as we went by a qualifying experience? If yes then it was great!
Very nice place to visit with friendly staff £50 for 2 cocktails was outragous but tasty all the same. If you want the best afternoon tea in London this is the place to go.
The best food and beverage I have ever had. Loved the service too.
Fabulous venue for an amazing party..... great food and impeccable service from a talented team
The painters room is a stunning place to share with your friends. The staff are welcoming and familiar and worth coming back to say hello again. In the heart of London. Where else would you want to be???
Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This website will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you wont regret it.Popped in to Claridges, unplanned on our way back from House of Lords social event. Nothing was too much trouble. So accommodating, lovely spot in the restaurant to enjoy fabulous evening meal with cocktails for the 5 of us. Great ambiance, friendly staff (lack of tourists a bonusand I parked right outside the front door.
Always excellent service at the bar, and always very accomodating. Good selection of cocktails as expected, the whiskey options are excellent too.
We’ve lived in London for over a decade and just got married. We decided to stay in a 5 star hotel the night before and the day of our wedding and while London has a lot of choice, we immediately knew we wanted to stay at Claridge’s. It was the best decision we could have made. From the first email regarding the booking to the final checkout, everyone we spoke to was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were treated so wonderfully throughout our stay and we felt so incredibly special. The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, getting ready there on the day of my wedding is something I will never forget. We had champagne in the bars on the ground floor and the service was incredible. We ordered breakfast to the room the day after our wedding which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking Mayfair, and it was wonderful. We really didn’t want to leave! I would highly recommend Claridge’s for any special occasion (or if you just want to treat yourself!you will not regret it. Thank you Claridge’s for providing us with an unforgettable stay, we hope we can celebrate our first wedding anniversary there too. Jenna and Emanuele
Just wonderful and a big thanks to Andrea and the concierge team for making our stay so special for my partner’s 50th birthday.Truly memorable and also a special mention to the front door team too, great guys couldn’t do enough for us 🤩
This was an impeccable experience. I went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, as were the desserts and the beef tartare. The service was absolutely excellent as you’d expect and all of the staff were extremely friendly. The staff even served each new cup of mint tea with its own new teapot to avoid over brewing, which was impressive and thoughtful. I also liked that their coffee and sorbet dishes were delicious, and not just an afterthought as it sometimes can be. The inside of the restaurant is also decorated immaculately, and there was live entertainment, including a violinist and a pianist. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pictures inside, as their is a policy against that. However, I would recommend this amazing and classic place to anyone.

It was a great experience. All food was good, they should have some Aisan food options too.
What an elegant hotel! Everything is impeccable. The staff are very helpful. I will be officiating at a wedding here later in the year in the Ball Room Reception and I am really looking forward to it.
One of my favourite hotels, historic, yet modern and classy without being too snooty.Decor throughout is in keeping with the building, yet feels fresh and modern too. All the staff I encountered were friendly and professional - from the door and reception right through to hotel security and bar staff. No, its not cheap, but its worth the cost.
High Tea 💯Afternoon tea is a classic British experience and there are almost too many institutions to choose fromWe chose one more moderately priced afternoon tea and splurged for our second experience at one of London’s institutions: Claridge’sVerdict? We absolutely loved the service, diverse and high quality tea selection and the quality of both the savory finger sandwiches and the scones and pastriesWhile the price is higher, the quality matches and the pastries felt like individually crafted treasures rather than mass produced confectionsThank you Claridge’s for a fantastic experience!📷 Traditional Afternoon Tea £75 ~ A Selection of Traditional Finger Sandwiches ~ Poached and smoked salmon with samphire on rye bread / Coronation chicken on brown granary bread / Dorrington ham with tomato chutney and watercress on onion bread / Burford Brown hens egg with Heritage tomato and basil on white bread / English cucumber with lemon cream cheese and rocket on white bread / Raisin Scones and Plain Scones ~ freshly baked every day in Claridges kitchens served with Cornish clotted cream, Marco Polo gelée / A Selection of Handmade Pastries ~ crafted under the guidance of Jérôme Chaucesse, made daily by our team of Pastry Chefs ~ Coconut and strawberry pavlova / Blueberry religieuse / Finger chocolate, Earl Grey tea and raspberry / Clafoutis aux cerises📍Claridge’s (London, United Kingdom)
Afternoon tea with my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything was first class. A joy and real day to remember.
Are there 6 stars? Or 7? I had a short stay but felt so welcomed and taken care of, people working here obviously love their job and take great pride in being part of the Claridge’s family. Everyone takes their role seriously but are relaxed enough to engage in playful banter and a helpful in every way. The rooms are beautifully appointed and immensely comfortable. The cocktails were delicious and creative, and there is something for every palate on the robust breakfast menu. It is perfectly situated in London. Great shopping, beautiful parks, an abundance of delicious restaurants, all within walking distance! I just might agree with Spencer Tracy’s declaration that he would prefer Claridge’s over Heaven as his eternal resting spot! 😉😇Thank you for my delightful stay, I can’t wait to be back soon!
Just another flawless visit to (in my opinionthe worlds best hotel, Claridges’ in London. Massive thank you to Denis (artistry in making my wife feel an important visitor againfor creating the feeling we’d never been away and just amazing to see George once more in Claridges Bar. Not seen George post-pandemic but he knew how I’d like the Dry Martini none the a less!!Everyone and mean everyone in the hotel took the time to make me feel they knew my wife and I personally by name.80%+ of the Uk economy is now service based, this team do it like no other in the world!
What a treat. Really delicious afternoon tea.We planned this 2 years ago, but with the pandemic could not go, the Hotel honoured our tickets for our afternoon tea which we were very pleased about.
Celebration afternoon tea for our 10th Anniversary and it did not disappoint! Amazing food 😋 wonderful service 🤩 and stunning surroundings. cannot recommend enough
My daughter treated me to afternoon tea for my 60th birthday. Its the best weve had by far. The service was second to none (especially Gabrielleand we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience
It was already a special 90th Birthday treat for my Mother. When we arrived my Wife and Mother went to the loo. I sat in a leather chair in the lobby area. A lovely young lady came over and asked me if I was with the two beautiful ladies and asked if I would like to go to the bar area to meet the rest of my family. She left us greeting each other and a few minutes later arrived with my Mother on her arm, as if it were her grandmother. It touched me! That kindness set up the whole experience. I’m so annoyed I didn’t get the young lady’s name. She, and I’m sure other staff that work there know who she is. Amazing!
Went there only for the tea. Which is definitely an experience. One should go there understanding that you are paying for the scenery, the atmosphere, the experience, the excellent service. Because honestly, the sandwiches, scones and sweets are nothing you cant get somewhere else for half the price. But still, fun to do.
Really enjoyed my afternoon tea experience here, food and service were amazing.Sandwiches were very memorable and I am sure I will book another afternoon tea here because of them. My favourite was the ham and truffle sandwich. The service was impeccable too, the waiter assisted in our many tea refills and pouring our tea for us with extra care. Also, waiter checking on our stay was pleasant throughout the afternoon.
This hotel is lovely but I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I don’t think it’s as good as the savoy or Ritz. It was very busy when went so maybe that’s why it didn’t feel as special. At first they couldn’t fit us in the bar so showed us to the painters room. I’m guessing this bar was made to add capacity but it isn’t great, it feels like your in a cupboard. We decided to wait outside the bar and the lady was lovely and came and got us as soon as their was a seat at the bar. It felt rather cramped the bartender wasn’t particularly friendly and the nibbles that you get aren’t a patch on the Ritz or Savoy but the drinks are more.Beautiful hotel though and worth seeing.
Fabulous hotel. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really friendly and helpful staff. Really good with children. From the moment you arrive, the staff really go out of their way to make you feel special and are very welcoming. They want you to enjoy the experience, and the occasion you are there for, be it a big celebration or a quiet meal. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend. Have been a handful of times now. Definately want to make another visit.
The afternoon tea here is absolutely perfect, every time ⭐️You’ll likely need to book well in advance so be prepared, especially if you want to try a seasonal tea.The staff and their service is impeccable. Dietary requirements are always remembered and catered to without a fuss. The sandwiches, scones and cakes are of exceptional quality too.
If you want to go for the most ultimate afternoon tea experience, this is the place to be and in my opinion worth every penny. The whole experience is so special. The building itself is already so impressive, the beautiful area where you are having the tea, the experience of the toilet (someone who will hand you the towel after washing your hands,OMG you truly feel like a celeb). Extremely friendly and amazing staff, live music, delicious food (their mokka pastry was to die for and the scones the best I have ever had). Very special teas and the staff will make sure to tell you everything about it. Too much to say but honestly: just go and you’ll experience it yourself.I was also lucky I got to sleep in the hotel as a surprise for my birthday by my brother and his partner. Truly felt like a queen. Everything is thought through and they will make sure you’ll have an unforgettable stay. Top notch experience.
Had an amazing afternoon tea experience. It is very expensive, but worth it if you are on a vacation or special trip! You get refills of all sandwiches/scones/pastries included in the price. I asked for extra scones to take home with me to my hotel for breakfast the next morning (they were the best scones I’ve ever had with delicious clotted cream and jam and they happily did so in a beautiful packaged box - at no extra charge. The food and service are top notch
Had a wonderful lunch here for a family members birthday. From doorman onwards all the staff were friendly and attentive. The choice of wine is staggering, I settled on a glass of Malbec, others had cocktails, again outstanding. Now the food.. what can I say? Probably the best steak I have ever had! Even though we were stuffed, we squeezed in desert! Well done to everyone!
