Charming facility showcasing painting, sculpture & other works by local artists, past & present.
I was there for a music event. It was excellent!
Claremont Art Walk Saturday!
day visitors to Claremont - Pomona area with an interest in local arts should absolutely visit here...the architecture of this historic train depot and the locally based artwork that is exhibited inside are worth the trip...free entry on Fridays, and just $5 to enter other days.. a good cause to support..and a good stop for people doing an art gallery walk in the Pomona Claremont Valley. Exhibitions are not permanent, new shows are staged every several months, because there are so many great local artists in the area to exhibit!
What a gem of a little museum! The facility in the old train depot/now Metrolink station is gorgeous! Lots of original architectural details from the wooden window frames, to the period lights, to the beautiful tile work on the floor and walls, youll feel like youve been transported back through time. They feature new exhibits every 4 months. Theres a local art outreach group that works with high school students to promote art and have them do art. The museum is open Fri., Sat. & Sun noon to 4:00 PM. FRIDAYS ARE FREE, so please stop by and see whats showing!
This is really a beautiful little jewel of a museum. I went to see the John frame exhibit which was perfectly suited for the small space. I enjoyed a nice walk after in the downtown area, which had a farmers market.
John Frame had some occult looking stuff and I think the exhibit was pretty well put together.
Participates in Discover and Go Library complementary museum pass program, great exhibit on my visit.
Nice and beautiful view here.
So Many Great Artists ! A Beautiful Way to spend an Afternoon .
Great little community museum it’s free but I suggest you bring some cash for donations. If you are In town you need to stop by this lovely place.
A beautiful local museum with top notch exhibitions. Small but wonderful, and with the planned expansion, they will essentially be tripling their space to allow for even more robust exhibitions! Donate if you can!
Went on free day. Its cute, but its VERY small. Takes just a few mins to talk on it all in.
This is a small, beautiful space to view some works of art up close. Most of the art and exhibits have a local connection. It’s located in the historic Claremont train depot adjacent to the Metrolink stop. If you’d like to get a good sense of Claremont’s deep visual arts history, this is a good place to start.
A Claremont treasure!
It was nice, but to be honest it was a very very small and said that there wasnt really much to see it all
Small but choice exhibitions. Donate your art books here! Volunteer run, needs funding to expand enough to exhibit some of which is stored.
Glad to see such a great use of the historic train depot!
The historic Claremont Depot has come to life again, reincarnated as a jewel of a small art museum. A variety of ongoing exhibitions celebrate the community’s rich artistic legacy and the cultural vitality of the region. A great place to bring the kids on the first Sunday of the month with free admission and fun activities at ARTStation.
Very small. Good concept. Not a lot of work.
Great museum.
Very small, two rooms. Nice staff. They building is nice as well.
I guess Im considered riff Raff. I work 40 hours a week and ride my bike on my days off. Ive ridden 25 miles so far today and went in there and asked if I could use their facilities. I was very politely told I use use the bathroom at the library "up the street". Im sure they gave a very lovely museum. Ill never know because Ill never go there.
Lovely place with great interest for almost anyone. The only thing that is an issue is that it is very small. Otherwise, excellent!
Absolutely loved the exhibits here. The artists showcased are very talented. The volunteer at the desk was very informative and gave some great insight. I look forward to visiting future exhibits. Lastly, love the history of the depot and the community.
Wonderful collection but the new gallery is terribly small. Made the mistake of trying to bring in my stroller, still its nice to see them up and running again.
