No. 81號, Chang'an West Road, Datong District, Taipei City, Taiwan 103, Taipei
Set on a bustling street lined with shops and restaurants, this bright, hip hotel in the Central Business District is a 6-minute walk from Taipei Main train station, and 2 km from the park and history exhibits at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.Streamlined rooms with vibrant wall art feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, as well as minifridges, and tea and coffeemakers. Family rooms sleep up to 4 guests; upgraded rooms add DVD players.Use of 24-hour guest laundry facilities is complimentary. There's also a colorful TV lounge with a snug dining area.
Stayed for 5 days. Rooms a bit small but bed is comfortable and room is bright and clean. The layout is functional and they manage to out a desk inside. Aircon is cold. Washing machine and dryer is free to use.free washing powder also. Free coffee or.tea and free cup noodles in the night. I think its value for money . Would be perfect if there is simple breakfast provided for the price.
Superb service and facilities, very clean and comfortable room. Best location to explore the old districts of Taipei city, to start journeys to other places in Taiwan via railway and buses.
I can only concur with previous reviews: this hotel does Taiwan proud, and you’d be hard-pressed to find this level of service and comfort in a 5-star hotel. Staff are so kind, sweet and helpful it boggles the mind – you can tell it comes from the heart! My room was spotless clean, and everything in the whole place says “welcome”. The location is also pretty much unbeatable. Is it weird to say I miss this hotel? Who cares – I will be back soon and really look forward to my second stay. 💜💜💜
I have stayed here twice. It is the best value for money hotel I have stayed in. Free wifi, water, tea, coffee, snacks and laundry. Excellent, friendly and helpful boutique style service. Reception speaks Chinese, Japanese, Korean and English. Very clean, fresh rooms. The only thing to note is some standard room have no window. Most do, however, as do all superior rooms. Fully recommend with no hesitation.
Got free upgrade from the hotel from deluxe room to triple room and it highest floor in the hotel. There is light snacks in the room and at level 1 corner too. Bed and pillow is Comfortable. Movies is very updated, speed of WIFI is good. Only bad point there is aircon or machine sound on one of the night and suspect someone smoke in the hotel as when we stay close to aircon there is abit smoke smell. Service of the hotel staff is very friendly and good. Overall is an excellent stay. Will recommend family and friends to stay here and will definitely come back here again when we are back in Taipei.
A very nice hotel with very friendly staff, the location is quite good, easy to get to the main station which is within 5 minutes walk from the place. The rooms are cleaned daily. The standard room is a little small but can comfortably fit two people. Free good quality wifi is also available. When you are booking a room make sure that it has windows as not every room has them. Overall really happy with my stay in this place.
Very disappointed in how they handled my situation.Ive stayed with them many times over the years, and granted I booked a non refundable room, but unfortunately something came up and I tried to cancel the room to even get a bit of a refund back. And they still wouldnt allow it.Very disappointed.
This Hotel is absolutely amazing! The rooms are super clean and comfortable, my husband and I stayed for a few nights and we really enjoyed this hotel. Besides the fact the bed made me itchy, we checked all the blanks and couldn’t find anything but it was still confusing why I was getting itchy. They have a free coffee and cold/hot teas in the main lobby kitchen, there is no traditional breakfast but they have a microwave for warming up your foods. In terms of location, it has a lot of amazing coffee shops nearby that sell tea/freshly roasted coffee. For food, there are a few places nearby. But if you want anything good you will need to walk. The nearest place is KFC and Seven Eleven.
This was my second stay at this hotel. Location is perfect. Compared to my first stay, the room allocated to me this time was much better in quality, with a big window facing the main street. The black out curtains worked great. Excellent hot water and shower, especially the complimentary toiletries made from herbal formulas. Stable wi-fi. No breakfast but didnt bother me, as theres plenty of local food options around. Only point to improve is the aircon system ~ the citys temperature dipped the night i checked in, and i wasnt able to increase the aircon temperature, despite help from the friendly staff; hence, i kept the aircon switched off the whole stay.
Enjoyed my 3 nights stay at City Inn Taipei Main Station Branch II during a recent solo trip. Pleased that there was plenty of natural lighting! Felt extremely safe and comfortable. Would return to this hotel and other City Inn hotels in Taiwan.
Stayed at the hotel last week while in Taipei. The hotel was clean and modern, really well situated close to Taipei Main Station. The staff were really friendly. Recommended if you are staying in Taipei.
Second time here. Never disappointed. Minimalist hotel, but very convenient (wash and dry machine for free, spacious room, etc).A bit noisy, depends on your neighboor. Very good location and really low price.
I love this hotel. Second time staying here and never disappoint. Good location near Taipei Main station. All the staffs are very good and welcome you with big smile. Thank you to Ores who always help me and give me tips on attractions/places to visit during my trip.
Staff were friendly and attentive. They gave very good advise on where to eat and visit. Location of hotel is very convenient, 5 mins walk to either Taipei Main Station or Zhong Shan Station. We booked a Twin room, the room was spacious and the bathroom very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Kind and friendly staff. Clean rooms that are promptly kept whenever you leave. Nice complimentary gifts such as bottled water and snacks as well as a self service public kitchen area at the lobby that also has some free stuff as well!Kudos to Dudu for his excellent service and warm reception!
A+ service. front desk was very accommodating and always available even at 4 am in the morning. By far the friendliest experience Ive had with any workers in the hotel service industry.
This was an unexpected surprise as the room is well kept and the staff ensure that housekeeping is done when we are out of the hotel. You get clean towels, nice bedsheet, clean toliet, well stocked pantry (with biscuits, beverage dispenserand nice dining area if you decide to have packed meals. The room comes with VOD, you have lots of movies to choose. The wifi connection is extremely stable, what else could I ask for? More than value for money. If you are travelling with family, this is where you would like to stay as the staff will even remind my parents that the weather is cold, have to keep warm. We even received some snacks when we checked out.
The hotel is within walking distance to Taipei M Station and the Ning Xia night market. Room is very clean, modern and quiet.
Location is good , close to Taipei station. Room is very clean. Laundry service is a bonus. Staff is excellent, very helpful, especially Ms. O. Wu, shes awesome!
4 star Inn with 5 star service. Extremely impressed with the Inns staff and amenities. Definately will stay again and highly recommended. Worth every $$ .. cheap and deserving of its 5star service.
Nice n clean, check in is fast, front desk is very willing to help, have free self laundry, 7 min walk from airport mrt station, very handy.lots of eating place close by.
We arrived in Taipei before check in time, but we were allowed to leave our baggage in their concierge, lent us an umbrella so we can go to some places even though its raining. They had a pantry for free coffee and a free laundry station. Most importantly, the staff were all courteous and accomodating, taught us how to go about the city without getting lost. The room was very clean and have all that we needed. The hotel is near the bus station and 2 mrt stations. Well book with City Inn again if well be given a chance to visit Taiwan again.
Was in Taipei last week and stayed at CityInn Taipei Branch II. Great location, with KFC and MacDonalds just opposite of the hotel. Walking distance to Taipei Main Station accessible to MRT and Buses. Very Professional and Beautiful Polite Staffs whom were quick to attend to the needs of customers. Will definitely stay there again when I go back to Taiwan.
Great hotel for the price. Service was extremely good and staff was very friendly. Rooms are small, but modern and comfortable, and insulation is a problem as we heard people screaming from the upper levels watching the World Cup. However, would still recommend to anyone wanting comfortable accommodation in the city.
The location of the hotel is great which is 7-8 mins walk away from Taipei Main Station and Zhong Shan Station and you can access to Red, Blue and Green line. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There is free Video On Demand and you will not be bored during the stay. I will definitely choose this Hotel again during my next stay in Taipei!
Nice hotel. Staff are friendly and attentive. Location is also great as its near two major train stations. Bonus: famous donut shop just 3mins away on foot.
A charming modern and sleek hotel located within walking distance of Taipei Station and the Taoyuan Airport Line Station. Its hard not to smile at the adorable characters that decorate the exterior and interior of the building. The room we stayed in was a standard, there was enough space for a bed, the beautiful glass-walled bathroom, and a slender desk/table where the TV sat but you could also use for a little working space. Unfortunately for us there was only one chair so one could use the desk while the other had to recline on the bed (oh the horror). There is no breakfast served here but you can reserve a breakfast room service from McDonalds or there is a small simple kitchen space on the first floor with toasters, microwaves, and a communal fridge where you can heat up something of your own. There is also coffee, a variety of teas, and hot chocolate available for guests.Next to the little kitchen there is a laundry room which is apparently free for guests to use. Im not sure how detergent works though. The staff were all friendly and very helpful in answering questions. When youre leaving in the morning you should let the front desk know if you want your room cleaned or not or you can specify how much you want your room serviced.
Clean room, fantastic service (nice and polite, makes you feel that you are in a 5-star hotel), reasonable price. It’s about 10 mins walk from 中山 or 台北車站。
The staff at reception, they were really kind and could speak English well. The room was comparatively small but clean and nice.As I stayed at 7 floor, I could use terrace as well. This was comfortable to breathe the out side air.You can use free wi-fi without password. This was also nice. And VOD was also available for free. Those who enjoy Taipei will suit this hotel.
Very warm and welcoming staff who can speak English. Facilities such as laundry and dryer is a welcome, rooms are small but clean. The hotel is close to a shopping mall and train station for easy transport. Would stay again :)
My husband and I spent 10 days in Taiwan staying in Jiufen, Yilan, Xinju, Miaoli and Taichong, making Taipei our base. Taipei CityInn ll is still my preferred stay because of its location, facilities, hospitality and particularly its cleanliness. They have excellent staff who are friendly and eager to please. I will definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable yet affordable stay in Taiwan.
The rooms are a nice size but we got a room without windows so you really cant tell the time or the weather from inside. However, the hotel is well-equipped with shared kitchen and self-laundry.
Pleasant surprise by staff, Mia and Ria, for a great 38th Anniversary celebration. City Inn II has been our choice for our past 2 visits to Taipei. We have alway enjoy our stay here.
Excellent location because it is close to Taipei Main MRT station. Staff were friendly, attentive and responsive. Room was clean, warm, bright and well-equipped.
Small and Nice hotel, ten mins walk to Taipei main station, opp got Mac Donald and KFC, room is cosy with free snack and drink, free use of wash machine and dryer behind the lobby. Service is top notch!
Cheap, clean, friendly staff and 10min walking for Taipei main station (train, MRT, airport MRT).They dont offer breakfast but give you good advice to where you can have one and even with a menu translated in English! Very friendly and efficient staff. Room small but very clean and comfortable. Thanks
Good service , clean, reasonable charge and convenient location. I experienced v good memory few years ago in Taichung and let me surprised by staff enthusiastic and dedicated to provide quality service.......I enquiry a staff how to order my old mobile phone parts online...... She helps me to contact the hotline for d, and even explored the nearby shops with maps and direction!!!!! Finally, I bought my phone parts and thanks the staff for her profe.
I would like to explain it in the best and politest way possible for those who take as negative a review of a hotel from a tourist, first, if most of the five stars are coming from tourist it may be because it is a good place, second, is a hotel, of course is meant to be for tourist, of course there is some Taiwanese even from the same city coming, but pretty sure not from the same district, if you leave hear is pointless to go to a hotel ... In other words taiwanese coming to leave here "are also tourist", you dont need to be from a foreigner country to be a tourist, third, the statistics doesnt lie, if the people is willing to spent a few minutes to give a review is either because they got a good impresión offset the place and want someone else to also know it or got a bad time and also want to make every one aware of what is bad about the place, since the hotel got 4.3 stars after 205 reviews dont need to be that smart to notice it as a good place, finally, you may find a place with lower price and same service maybe also same quality, but with such a good location? ... I doubt it. Is a nice place with an average price but with an excellent location, kind and very polite staff and clean and nice rooms.
Honestly a lot of the 5 stars are from tourists. You can find what this place offers at lower prices in Taipei. Also the first staff member who works overnight www super polite, afternoon staff woman was like, rudest I’ve deal with in Taiwan. Anyways 430/2HR is overpriced for here. Nothing special .
Good price for a place at a convenient location. It is very near Taipei station especially if you get through Q Square. Places for breakfast nearby. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is equipped with a laundry room and a snack and drink mini bar. The room is clean and comfortable.
Simple and clean budget hotel with laundry facility. Its location is convenient as it is near the main train station in Taipei. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Environment is extremely cute and the rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Train station is about a 10 minutes walk and a small night market is about a 15 minutes walk. They provide free snacks, water bottles, toiletries, and usage of their laundry machines. A small fridge is located inside the room, but there is aslo a regukar-sized community fridge in the lobby. 10/10 will stay here again.
The A/C stays on even when you leave with your key card, so you always arrive to a fresh cool room.I rented the cheapest room available, which is small with no windows. However, the lighting is immaculate and theres still a desk for your laptop and other charging electronics, with several 110V outlets available. The bedside lighting control panel is the best Ive ever seen in a hotel room. There are a variety of lighting motifs that suit any function or mood. There are many nice touches. For example, wall mounted shampoo and soap dispensers minimize clutter and waste.Other features:Mini fridgeFlat screen TV with HDMI portsHelpful, friendly staffTea and crackers that taste goodUseable wifiVery cleanTwo blocks walk from Taipei main station MRTCheck hotel websites for the best price.Even the cheapest room here would be suitable for a honeymoon in Taipei.Five stars!
Definitely 5 stars for awesomeness of staff, cleanliness, facilities, location and general value-for-money. Very handy for airport MRT, easy walk to malls, including underground cities (important if its raining), surrounded by bustling back streets full of shopping and eating surprises. Free Laundry & Drier, perfect kitchen. Creatively-decorated rooms. And did we mention stellar staff?
Its clean and accessible. Mac, KFC, 7-11, family mart, Cosmed and Wellcome Supermarket are just a short walk (5minaway. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful too. Only bad thing is the poor wifi. My hp got disconnected easily.
Rooms were clean, modern and match the photos but as expected for the price it was quite small. If you have large amounts of luggage or plan to spend lots of time in the room this place may not be suitable. Has a single shared set of kitchen facilities and a seating area. Noise isolation is not great but not so bad you hear everything happening next door. Very close to convenience stores, food and transportation.
Room was compact with little storage space but very clean and modern. There were at least 2 conveniently located universal power sockets on each side of the bed for recharging electronics.
Probably smallest hotel room Ive ever been in. Choose another hotel if you have big luggage. Luckily we were traveling with hand luggage. Location was good and the hotel was affordable. Not too far from the train station.
We decided to stay here due to a reccomndation from a friend. Things we are looking for in a place to stay in taipei are cleanliness, amenities, price and location.Cleanliness: lobby is modern and playful, looks slightly small but its Taipei not much different than others. Room size is small but also very clean and layout is well thought out. With a lack of a window its would seem a little closed off except that the hotel lighted the room in a way that slightly negates it. We also came during a typhoon and afterwords the hotel looked spotless and provided excellent customer service(added plus as I dont expect any customer-service in asia. Overall for cleanliness, its a super plus.Amenities: very close to American boutique hotels, fridge, free water and snacks in the room, lobby has microwave, big fridge for sharing, milk tea and lemon tea on tap, and coffee machine for everyone. When it was raining customer-service allowed us to borrow umbrellas. We put please clean our room magnets on the door and within a hour it was clean and taken care of(I only know this cus I left something and came back to see the cleaning in progress). Overall this is a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Taipei.Cost: we expected to pay over 120usd a night but this place came out to around 99usd night. That being said we booked through adoda and it seems we were charged more per night than the hotels own rate. We had to check in early to avoid being stranded by the typhoon, and we paid 30 dollars less a night. Book directly with them (also the city Inn 3 is right next door and their lobby is a lot bigger dunno if the rooms are bigger too but just FYI might wanna check them out too as the service seemed the same)Location: its close to taipei main station where the metro rail and high speed rail both meet. Its great if u are the type to want to explore theres 2 close stations to the hotel and taxis always driving around. 15 mins to taipei 101 15 mins to some night markets. So Ive blabbered on for a while so Ill sum it up. If I come to taiwan again, Ill be staying at the city Inn hotels. Good price, great location, amazing customer service at a price that is very good considering anything cheaper or more expensive probably wont add more value in total.
Within 5 minutes walking distance of Taipei main Station, this budget hotel scores high on exceptional customer service.Surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, its a safe bet for a first timer to taipei city.
