Zoological gardens with more than 5000 animals from 500 global species, including lions & hippos.
I really like this place, Ive been there more than 3 times and will definitely go again. There are many zones to visit, variety of animals, this place is vast and it seems that they take very good care of animals. Here is not old and does not deteriorate, it’s beautiful. I recommended to allow more than 3 hours for this place. They have discounts for students as well :)
Wide range of animals, great place to spend the day with the kids
It is a great place to visit, particularly if you have kids. The zoo was expanded and modernized over the years with larger exhibits more focused on animal-welfare and eductaion. The zoo is moving in the right direction, though the city officials have cut funding and created more problems recently. It is best to visit on a weekday, as weekend crowds can be massive and noisy.
very nice zoo! large area❤️ animals are beautiful and well-groomed
Great day out. The Zoo is massive and there are plenty of animals to see. Lots of places to eat and drink or hide in a shade during a hot summer day. My only issue was a lack of map/directions and not the best signposting, but we managed.
We could not make it in three hours - to cross all the pavilions. It was worth it. You pay just for kids. And one more bonus - reptiles pavilion is wonderful
Beautiful zoo! Animals have a lot of space, everything is clean, attractions for kids.
An whole day can be spended here. Good services, toilets and cafeterias. It was very pleasant to see that the animals were helded on proper conditions, they had enough room to walk around and so. Some Zoos do not have this unfortunately. Big variety in the species as well. The lizard house and bird house were also in very good condition and had a lot of different species. A place to visit when you enjoy animals and nature (even though they are in captivity). The entrance fee was not bad at all and the queue were held in balance with enough of cashiers. There is also a lot of parking space for those with car (for us , foreigners with a camper van).
The zoo was quite a disappointment. The one in Budapest is 100x cooler. We barely saw more than a few tired, grazing herbivores. And the zoos runway is pretty uninspiring and plain. The elephants was not very well cleaned and totally untidy. It was fun to spend 2 hours in Warsaw, but its only a 1 time visiting place.
Good place to spend time with family...a lot of places for luch..playgrounds for childrens.
In my opinion this zoo needs a bit more love, caretaking and structure. Some enclosures are wild - loads of bushes, branches, high grass. It doesnt seem to be maintained regularly. Same goes for the water. The water (penguins, seals, ...is dirty and often you can see trash near or even in the enclosures. This made me really sad. Another point are the feeding "shows". Feeding times are publicly displayed however, the feeling itself is the most loveless thing Ive ever seen. Additionally, there are not many signs in the park - its hard to find specific locations / animals. Lastly, you can smoke everywhere (except inside the houses). Huge minus point. Surely, you can eat and drink - loads of opportunities.
Spacious, green and well kept. One if the cleanest zoos I have ever been. It doesnt have that "zooy" smell and they have lots of space. You may want to buy your ticket online to skip the long queues. Will definitely recomment
Im animal lover and so I refrain from visiting zoos. My friends insisted me and confronted that the animals in zoo leave peacefully comparative to their own habitat.Im very much disappointed by seeing the condition of the animals. Lion and lioness are not physically active as theyre in jungle. Penguins are very small and also penguins are habitual of living in cold weather but here they were under sun on a small piece of artificial land and water (which was very oily). Anacondas are being captivated in a tank where they just stay lying on one side. Leopards are very skinny. Giraffes are comparatively shorter in height (due to their in-presence in their natural habitat). I was very upset to see this. Animals must be left to live in their own habitat. Were making mistakes by visiting and profiting zoos which encourages them to keep the animals captivated.
Not an expensive place for a day with the kids about 30pln an adult. Its a nice zoo not the best one tho. Some animals were not visible (not there fault).it took as about 4 hours and did not scan like the whole place so bring snacks you can find a water fountain but not easily you can buy it there. we did wait in line for about 30 min tho.
I highly recommend a visit here, I guarantee you will be amazed by the abundance of animals and have a great time here. Lots of greenery like a botanical garden.
This is a place where you can spend the entire day. Its a zoo and park in one.It hosts plethora of different animals and plenty of them also have enclousure big enough so that they can excercise their limbs by running around and hiding from people. Many of the animals living there did in fact hide and thats to be expected.I was a bit sad that the day I visited the one animal I wanted to see the most was not available but I understand that there are many reasons why some animals cant be seen every day. They are after all being subjected to high amounts of stress every day by being started at by humans who visit.I was very pleased to see how nice the zoo was, at times it felt more like a park that has areas where you can see animals. You could walk around without looking at animals and still have a good time here.I would recomend entering the zoo no later than at 13:00 if you want to see everything.ps: if you decide to get ice-cream, go for the good 6,- a ball one instead of the 5,- ones. The waffle it was in was much nicer and it also tasted better .
An amazing zoo with a very wide variety of animals. Lots of places to rest and a huge array of refreshment stands, meaning that you can relax without being too bundled together in one place with too many people.Too hot? Well, they have these awesome water spray gates that you can walk through to cool you down! (it was about 30 degrees when we were there, so the water was much needed!)Most text is in Polish and English so tourists can learn too, the Zoo is very well kept and easy to navigate.
Poorly maintained zoo. Cages were full of bushes🌾🌾🌾.I could hardly see some animals in this zoo and those animals are also not healthy😢Looks like they are not fed properly ☹️ On the other hand I see dozens of food stalls and ice cream shops inside the zoo which is more than the number animals inside the zoo.disappointed 😡😡😡
Nice place , many animals can not be seen
I really liked the visit, there is so much space, the zoo is so spacious that your eyes are dazzled and you dont know which way to go. We visited on Friday, but there was no line, so we went right away after buying the tickets. It took us 4 hours to pass everything, we didnt see only a few animals that were hiding, it was amazing. So, if you want to admire the zoo in no hurry, I suggest planning 4-5 hours for it. When we got hungry, we went to a small cafe to try a waffle with nutella and strawberries, it was very tasty and really filling. So, in summary, I really recommend only the best evaluations❤🍀
My favorite spot in the city! The whole garden is very organized and the animals look very peaceful and relaxed. You can also eat lunch there at a very reasonable price. If you come at certain hours you can see how the animals are fed. I recommend reading the description plaques at every habitat, you can learn a lot! also children under the age of 5 (i thinkcan have a free cart to carry them around.
Its a good place to take a walk, but not many animals
Like other people, Im conflicted with the idea of zoos as a concept. But the animals are here, so I guess the best thing we can do is to support them by buying tickets. Which are super cheap by the way. Ended up paying for a yearly pass because it was so cheap. In general, the animals here are well taken care of. Maybe the best enclosure for great apes, elephants and big cats I have seen. The birds are worse of in tiny cages unable to fly. The polar and brown bear cages are so dirty and old and in dire need for an upgrade. Cant believe they have kept the brown bear outside the park with a restricted view only to a super busy street. That bear must be traumatized. But dispite its limitations this is a good zoo.Summer edit: Polar bears in 33 degrees is tragic. Why dont make them a cage with freezing temperatures year round, just like the tropical animals have warm cages year around?
Definitely a good place for families with kids. Good for walking; there are lots of cafes inside to buy ice cream and other snacks. Plan your trip early in the morning or afternoon during summer season. Take a cap to protect you from sun. Though there are lots of trees and greenyr still sun is strong in most points.
Why is a POLAR BEAR outdoors with grass growing + in the sun !? POLAR BEAR. He was dirty, tired and overheated. The water was nasty too! This zoo is too famous in historical events for it to be so poorly maintained. Its sad. All of the water portions of the habitats are nasty - the seals had moss all over their bodies. The fauna everywhere needs taking care of; there were some habitats with trash. The main pathway is beautifully kept, the rest of it needs better treatment.
After long time been here, Nice ZOO & PARK!
A very nice park, big and various things and animals to see.
The animals dont have much space and some of the enclosures are composed of only one animal whereas they are made to live in group. The water is not changed often which is quite sad for the animals. Its a pity
nice place, but the zoo was empty, a lot of animals were absent, coffee at zoo’s cafe was awful. the tickets are overpriced i think, maybe i was there in a wrong time, but that was so upsetting.
Very nice zoo but animals mostly hide in the shadow. Unfortunately, the house of Zhabynski family is closed for visitors without a guide. Its perfect for kids and families for weekend. Lots of places with ice cream. On the weekend too many people and the ticket costs a little bit more expensive (5 PLN). There is a discount for students.
Very nice place! Almost we saw all animals 🦒🐘 The advice is to buy tickets online and to go in the morning, because at 12 oclock there was a big queue. We spend here about 3h and walked 6 km. So be ready to do sport!
Its one of my favorite place to visit, very well-maintained, Best place for family picnic, time spent well on that day
Its been like 20+ years or so that I wasnt in a zoo, happy to see those great animals again. Good way for kids to see in real what they see only in books and their reactions are so good to see. We came early on opening, so was no queue, but when going out there was a lot of people, so I suggest going early and buying tickets in advance.
Nice zoo - not too big. Huge line to enter on a weekend so we decided to come back on a week day and there was no wait. You need about three hours to see everything.
Really great place, I would advise to buy tickets in advance online because the queue was long , you can buy food inside . Above all you generally have a lot to see trust me!
I like the huge space area it is covering. The management of the zoo activities is also super nice. In other words it is fully managed in a proper way. There are a plenty number of animals, birds, serpents, aquariums, insects, reptiles and much more fun. If you are visiting zoo with kids, they will enjoy a full day picnic there. There are multiple kids activity areas where young ones can enjoy at fullest. Zoo management has taken care of the kids very well. As far as I know there are three entrances to the zoo. If you are thinking of buying ticket from counter, the queues are really long on all the ticket selling counters. There are self ticket wending machines installed next to ticket counters. You can also use that but it has no promotional tickets like group or family etc. But normal ticket you can buy and enter immediately rather spending whole day in queues. Bring plenty of water to drink due to warm weather. I recommend to visit Warsaw zoo at least once, you will enjoy it.
Zoo with nice walking lanes, beautiful plants and all kind of different animals to visit and be their guest.
Great and amazing!!! Hippos, elephants, giraffes, bears, tigers, lions, insects and birds and many others! Awesome picturesque views, rare plants all over the territory! Tasty ice-cream dots and coffee increase the wonderful mood for anyone! I liked it a lot! Ill visit it again and not once
Very nice and comfortable place. A lot of animals you may see. The territory of zoo is large and green, very beautiful.
Spacious Zoo with variety of animals. A few tips:1. Tickets. October 2021 price list is on one of the photos. When the weather is nice on the weekends you can expect sizable queues to buy the tickets on site. So, either come early in the morning(before 10am); or buy the tickets online to avoid queueing(fair to note, buying the tickets online is not as smooth as it could be, but still could be better vs standing in the queue, especially if you are coming with your kids..). If you plan to visit the zoo more than 3 times per year, it pays out to buy annual passes(these can be purchased only on site, in the customer service office close to the south entrance).2. Parking. While there are free parking areas, these get full quickly during the weekends. So, either come early, or opt for the private paid parking(close to the south entrance, 20pln per day), or get emotionally ready to do a bit of driving around to find the empty parking spot..:)3. Food. I haven’t come across the food which I could call heathy(maybe I gave up too early..). So, if you are into healthy food, better take some snacks with you.4. Making it easier if coming with the kids. AIf you want to get some rest, there is a playground more or less in the center of the Zoo, where you can sit and get some rest while your children are enjoying the playground:). BThere are free trolleys available for your kids (see the phototo ride in and while they might not want to ride them initially, the trolleys might get pretty in need after an hour of walking. You can get the trolleys close to the south entrance.5.Additional adventure for the kids. There a few geocaches(if you are into this stuff..:in the Zoo, so you can add “treasure hunting” to your Zoo visit experience.
I suggest going when its sunny, cos when we went, it was drizzling slightly and most of the animals stayed inside for warmth. Some animals, like the lion, tigers, penguins and the red pandas werent even there to begin with :( but otherwise, the animals are well taken care of and was a nice experience :)
I am not sure I agree with the existence of the zoo as a concept. However the animals I saw over there seemed well maintained, cared for and healthy thanks to the good work of the employees. The gorilla seemed a bit depressed or otherwise tired :(. The facilities were in an overall good shape, however the layout of certain areas and the lack of direction tables could make people go in circles at times.Regarding the bars there, I would advise against the cold brew offfered as I was not happy at all with it, quality-wise and price-wise. Theres room for improvement. My overall experience from the zoo was very positive and I would recommend it for a weekend entertainment option.
Really nice place to visit in Warsaw. Great for children too. Can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic place. Super cheap to get in, 70 PLN for 1 adult and 2 kids on a family ticket. The weather was torrential rain on our visit and although there are some indoor areas, we were just so soaked we sadly had to cut our visit short before getting round the whole place. But! We saw elephants, and gorgeous monkeys, gorillas, exotic birds, an amazing aquarium with sting rays and sea horses 😍 plus more.We had lunch (gorgeous fresh fish and chipsat a little dine out near the entrance. Wish we could re visit and see the rest of the place.
It is beautiful garden, lots of animals to see, but I left with mixed feelings. Seeing polar bears walking in the sun on a hot day, yes, they had water drizzling continuously in the air, yet I am not sure how they feel. I read the book of Gerald Durrell how the animals didnt want to leave a zoo when they could, that it is not that bad for them, yet...
Day out with the kids dont look any furtherGreat zoo, very spacious, relatively inexpensive (entery and foodand with a load of animals from the smalles to the largest for all the family to enjoy
Many areas/cages were temporarily closed. It was extremely crowded during the last visit (weekendwhat made the visit annoying. Even though there are many interesting animals I prefer the zoo in Poznan
most of the animal enclosures are very overgrown and hard to see animals. Some animals look very sick, which is sad. If the animal runs were better cared for, this would be a nice place to walk
This zoo is big, the only thing I like is the layout. Aside that I felt sorry for most of the animals as there is only one of each. One lion, one tiger, one elephant, one alligator , one hippopotamus, one rhino. If you are a bird lover then this is the place for you lots of birds. If you want to wander around for an hour or two then its OK for that, I have visited much better zoos so was abit disappointed.
Its not too big like most famous zoos, which could also be considered as an advantage as we dont get tired after some while. We are easily able to explore all the animals in a single stretch. Its well maintained and has sufficient restrooms. It has some unique animals which I havent found even in some famous zoos. You can take your strollers when you go with kids, since each and every space is excellently paved. Worth for a single time visit for sure. Kids will also enjoy the time there. The major problem what I felt is that they dont have variety of eatables. They have only basic stuffs like ice cream and zabikanka. If you are family with kids, dont forget to ask for family tickets.
