great food, & music..the DJ was one of the best Ive ever heard!

we were there for an bday party, but took forever to get us seated. I mean we seriously waited over 40 minutes, standing around the table of our party. very awkward. then they tried to serve food to me and other guests with no tables, meanwhile other guests are able to be seated right away. our waitress asked us when she brought our food "where are yall going to sit?" as if we were responsible for seating ourselves. why take our order if you didnt have a place for us to sit? we eventually were able to sit at the table with our party but only bc ppl had started to leave.. the food was OK, not even worth the wait. the performers were great and the music was ok. way too crowded and unorganized, though I would not return on my own will.

The music is extremely too loud! It will bust your ear drums!

Ive only been twice but was satisfied with my food choices both times.

We decided to go here for my sister in laws birthday..Upon entering there was light music playing pretty empty..Service was slow and we waited almost an hr for some seafood eggrolls..I wouldnt return or tell someone about this place

Some months AGo visited From De. The food wasnt as fresh.Today Oct. 31 2022 our food was to perfection 🥰 the server at bar always gracious, big smile. We go 2x a month to this establishment from De.

Arrived on a Friday Happy hour, Grown sexy, a mature older crowd. The place had a very nice crowd and old school music played in the background surrounded by many televisions viewing sports. Live music was great. . The food was delicious. I enjoyed a variety of different meals, chicken egg rolls, fish tacos, fried shrimp and fries. Over all, the place was an enjoyable place to visit.

Food was really good. Although they ran out of my wine I was able to find something else. The DJ was popping on a Thursday night. Ill be back😊

We enjoyed the food, the drinks and the service. Sunday is Happy Hour all day!!!

Celebrated my birthday here with friends. Had a great time and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration.

Customer service was excellent. We sat at the bar and watched the Sunday Night NFL game. Bartender was great! The drinks were perfectly made. The food was delicious! Great vibe. There was no dj/music. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Look tonight October 5th 2022 I had the best stuffed salmon filled with crab meat sauteed spinach with some garlic mashed potatoes.Baby it was tasty, the price is more then reasonable,it was cook perfectly,mmmmmm

Great live music, food was good but it was very oily and greasy. I had a steak quesadilla. It was good but the atmosphere was the selling point.

Food ok, service not bad, but the wait time is slow..the waitress kept apologizing..nice atmosphere for the grown folks with R&B jams.

My husband and I had buffalo wings for the app and shrimp stuffed with imperial with Mac & cheese and loaded baked potato. Everything was good. Mixed drinks are a good size and reasonably priced.

If you are a door dash driver expect the order that you are picking up to be at least 20-30 minutes late after its supposed to be ready. Never on time and they never care about us drivers as if we get paid enough to deal with the bull

Prices not bad for happy hour food usually good i had one bad occasion but overall solid.

I hadnt been there for years! And even though the place looks a bit run down it brought back good memories and the food was on point! Additionally, the waitress (the name on the receipt is Ashleywas absolutely AWESOME.

It was a return trip for me there with a old friend.Ordered seafood platter.Have to admit food was great,but the Long Island Ice tea was awful.I think they forgot to add the liquor or watered it down.Must have a new cook,now needs to get a better bartender.It wasnt crowded,but waited almost 15mins for server,but food came quick.

Pretty chill atmosphere for a Saturday night. Jason the bartender was awesome. I will return just for him alone. He was friendly and fast with mixing up the drinks.

From going there when they 1st. became city view from pargos my opinion...from my previous visit.. big crowd changer... young crowd is ok..to much comes behind them now days...what happen to the middle age crowd...over food was in the money...

This restaurant had some of the most amazing garlic parmesan wings Ive ever had! And their sweet chili wings are crunchy heaven. They are under-staffed, so expect a wait, and skip the salads.

This place has HH everyday except Saturday. I enjoy my visits each time, especially when I dont have floor seating. The servers seemed to overwhelmed with the floor seating. The bartenders are great. Food wise, the lamb chops, the fried & baked wings, the egg rolls (cheesesteak or seafood), steamed shrimps w/ onions, fried pork chops are a few of my choices w/o issues.

The service and food were mediocre at best. I got a chicken salad wrap and it had no seasoning or taste but I can say it was a hearty wrap. The fries were ok but also nothing spectacular. The drinks were alright too. The bartender was nice but it was just her behind the bar so as people came in for happy hours she was not able to be as attentive as she could have been. They definitely needed an extra bartender there at that time. I was there from 1pm til about 530 and when I was leaving another person came in but by this point it was already busy. Im sure this is a nice establishment that people love but I more than likely will not be returning.But again, the staff was very pleasant.

I always enjoy their food and enjoy the service. I recently had food delivered, and it was packaged well. The food was still hot when it arrived. The stuffed salmon is the best.

I attened a celebration here. The HH menu prices are awesome however, the food and drinks on that same menu are mediocre. The drinks were completely watered down, the chicken quesadillas were thrown together with no flavor, the crab balls were full of filler, and tasted like they were in the freezer and was thawed out and reheated. The only reason why I gave this review 3 stars is because the old school dj was rockin! He made the time enjoyable!

Parking was a nightmare. The wings were very good. They had live DJ on a Sunday afternoon/Evening...probably not your cup of tea if you have to work on Monday morning...a bit overcrowded..

Watched a live band ate great food drinks were flowing. Expensive bill and we eat with plastic forks. So upset i tried to eat a fried chicken salad with a 3 prong mini fork. Waitress looked for a real fork she could not find one.

I am a regular customer at city view and I never had an order that was this terrible. I had an order for the 8 pieces honey garlic wings baked. And I only received 6 fried wings with garlic no honey.Waste of time and money . I usually rave about city view but they really dropped the ball in this one.

If I could leave zero stars…I would.City View service has sucked for some time. They really sucked tonight. It’s a slow night (Tuesday). Not many people are there. My girlfriend and I sat at the table in the bar area for 20 min. A waiter and waitress walked by us several times ignoring us. Not one of them stopped. My girlfriend tried to get the waitress attention and the waitress ignored her. We left! Poor service!!!

We went in for an event, the music was great, the crowd was 35 and over. We did not eat but the food look good, because it was so crowded it was difficult to get a drink but we managed. The parking lot is small for a place that holds that many people. It was overall a really great experience because I was with friends.

My experience here was the worst! My Aunt wanted to celebrate her birthday here, and a week prior to our attending she paid to reserve two tables. When she gets to City View a half hour prior to her reservation she sees that they have given her tables away. After a bunch of back and forth with the "manager" we were able to get one of her tables, and the manager kept stating that the people who were at the second table had paid their bill and were leaving soon, but they wind up staying later than we did. City View refused to take accountability and basically tried to make it sound like even though she paid to reserve two tables their policy is they cant really reserve tables during busy times. Apart from that fiasco, they didnt have enough menus fo our table, the food was sub par, and overall a bad experience. I wont be coming here again.

It was a nice outing in a monthly get together with friends. I enjoyed my meal of bbq ribs , crab cake, asparagus and German chocolate cake with coffee. Our server was very busy but pleasant. The environment was friendly, inviting and many partiies taking place surrounding us but not overly loud. I spoke with many patrons and they eager to engage in wonderful and uplifting conversation. Take the opportunity to enjoy yourself. I didnt drink any liquor but they had a good bar also. Also another server took a picture of my friends and I and you could see the joy we had at that time so we could share with those friends who were unable to attend.

First, it took 10 minutes for the waitress to come to the table. Second, we waited over 2 hours for 3 dinners. One of our dinners came out and she was able to finish her meal and have her plate cleared before the other 2 orders came out. Also, 3 other customers were seated after us and got the food before us. We ordered 2 fried seafood platters and both were missing the shrimp.The crabcakes and the scallops werent cooked thoroughly. The collards were horrible. The only thing I ate was the yams and some fish. The manager gave us 30 % off and a free soda. This place is joke.

This place has really gone down. I ordered something simple like Nachos. They even messed that up. The ground beef was all dried out and they put melted regular cheese along with Velveeta on it to try and make it better. I didnt bother to send it back because it was at Happy Hour price. Plus it took them over an hour to bring our food. Thats probably why my ground beef was dried out. A friend of mine had chicken tacos. The chicken was cut into little cubes like it came out of a can.The drinks were weak as well. Usually 1 long island ice tea gets me tipsy if its made right. I had two and still wasnt tipsy. The waitress felt bad for the food taking so long that she gave us a free drink. However, as stated before the drinks were weak.The place was half empty. Now I know why.

I placed a order for city view bar and grill through door dash. My mom used to love city view back in the day and since its been so long since the last time I been I decided to give them a try. Worst mistake of my life smh. I ordered a broiled seafood platter using door dash at 9:00pm! When I finally received my food @11:30 pm it looked as if they just threw everything in the box shook it up then said here ... food was horrendously horrible, cold and bland. The mashed potatoes tasted like Cornstarch and water yuck.. the crab cake was dry and wayyy to small for the meal to total $40 smh never again city view NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

I ordered the bourbon salmon with sweet potatoes and green beans. The salmon was very good however they should have marinated the salmon with the bourbon sauce. Instead they put the sauce in a cup that you could pour over the salmon. The sauce was like water so it didnt really stick to the salmon. The sweet potatoes were very sweet and the green beans were dry and bland. The atmosphere was kind of ratchet. I wouldnt return there.

I ordered through grubhub and picked up my order. No issues. Prior to the pandemic my cousin and I went here and enjoyed the good food and live music.Hope soon we can get back to the live music. The below pic is of the stuffed salmon, greens and sweet potatoes.

The alfredo was creamy, but lacked flavor, consider garlic and Italian seasoning, or cajun even....wings were good, blue cheese was good, my shrimp was a little over cooked, add cocktail sauce to dip in to the sample platter please! Mozz sticks were great, loved the DJ, was a little taken a back at seeing a waitress invade a customers space to the point of a fight and customer being livid, and for the waitress to further keep an attitude and still serving other customers. Enjoyed the wait staff dance to the music, and give great service. Will come back and try other foods

This is one of my favorite spots. It has a new menu & extended Happy Hours🍹🍷We got Sunday Brunch & happy with our waitress (newwho was very attentive and anticipated our needs from start to finish. The portions are generous and bartenders know how to pour🍽 Winning!!!

Good food and live entertainment occasionally. Good place to meet with friends and family. Connected to the Knights Inn motel. I would like to recommend an excellent dish Seafood Rockefeller $23.00 worth every dollar!!😍🤑

We went there for an early dinner...The waitress was good...She spent a few minutes talking to us. My friend wanted a glass of wine but she forgot her id in the car. She sent me to get it but the waitress was kind enough to say its fine.. She said just because she has a baby face doesnt mean she isnt old enough. So we ordered a glass of wine Moscato....One thing lead to another we never received the wine but we ate without the wine...The food was good... But the pork chop was under cooked...The chicken wings on the other hand was fantastic...There was loud good hip hop music playing...Live DJ ...I would definitely recommend this place...

Though it has changed owners a few times over the years it has always been a community staple, a place to go and meet friends and listen to great jazz and see people you havent seen in a long long time. The new owner is a pretty cool guy.... he sits down talks with you, makes sure everything is to your liking and if its not.... he makes sure it is. Pargos... ooppss... City View will always be on my list. ;)

Pretty nasty place, not clean and it smelled dirty and greasy like the 20+ year old carpet hadnt ever been cleaned. Service was pretty lacking also, half of us didnt get the food we ordered with the others or it was wrong. Huge menu, not sure that is a good thing. I pretty much stuck to eating fries, but they were good.There is a pretty big lack of decent places in the area, in general, so if you can go out of Woodlawn I would recommend it.
