I really enjoyed the tour of Bath. Great driver through narrow streets
Price gets you two routes which is great, but dont think it should be priced the same as the London bus. Best place to change buses or start the trip is across from the train station. Can buy tickets as you get on the bus. Map provided could give more info as you have no clue what you looking at unless using the headset. Overall pleasant and good way to see the city and get an idea of where to explore further.
Really not worth the money, the city tour commentary is not live and difficult to follow & there is nothing on route that you couldn’t walk in an hour. The 2nd bus tour around the surrounding hills is worse in that there is nothing of any interest apart from spectacular views hidden by roadside trees
Great experience, daughter 8 found interesting. We received headphones and the bus took us on a tour of bath, detailing all the historical sites of interest. Not too long for little ones, just the right amount of time actually.
We had a great time on the sightseeing bus. My boy had never been on a bus before mainly due to covid so he had a blast doing this for his birthday. We found the automated commentary to be good although on the city centre tour it repeated itself a few times and wasn’t talking about the things we were near all the time. The drivers were great and the conductor on the day was a lovely guy, we shared some jokes and he was great with my little one. Thanks for a fun day!
Putting a timetable on your crummy website might help. Why not just plot the times and routes on google maps?
Poor experience on these buses today. Took the city centre route first, which turned out to be an extremely short loop that I almost certainly could have done on foot. Much of the 50 minute journey was spent trying to squeeze the double-decker bus through comically narrow and congested city streets. I thought Id make the best of it by listening to the informative commentary provided, but alas I missed most of it, as the driver decided to have a shouting conversation with an elderly passenger she picked up en-route. She was so loud at points that she completely drowned out the audio, even when I had both headphones in and the volume turned up - very inconsiderate. Despite this, we decided to make the most of our (not inexpensivetickets by taking the "skyline tour" later in the day. I dare say the commentary would have made this more enjoyable, but lo and behold, I couldnt hear it again, this time due to the audio simply not working on any seat I tried. With no idea what I was meant to be looking at, it essentially became a trip around the - albeit green and idyllic, rather dull - Bath suburbs. Having had a much better experience with City Sightseeing in Cardiff earlier this week, its disappointing that the Bath buses couldnt live up to my expectations based thereon. I wont bother next time.
I felt for £17 it was a bit steep. Especially when half the journey was at standstill and the earphones were a bit dodgy. Had to move seats twice to find some working ones.
2 tours available - City tour and skyline tour. Better on a clear, dry day otherwise you will get soaked on the top of the bus. Covid precautions in place with sanitiser, social distanced seating and throw away headphones.
Made for a great day out!
Two excellent tours provided. One takes you roind the main tourist locations in the city and one takes you round the surrounding countryside. Both are well worthwhile, entertaining and educational. They can be seen as expensive but personally i thought the price point was pitched about right.
Great tours. Great location. We recommend them to our clients.
Great staff, informative and in some cases very funny.
The best way to see a lot of sights if you have limited time, probably the most affordable and easiest as well. The tour gives you two circuits with your ticket and is a great way to cover a lot of ground in the city as well as the outskirts.Plenty of photo opportunities on this double deck bus tour. The buses have an on board audio tour on multiple languages and ear buds are included. Both circuits originate very near one another so its easy to transition from one to the other.
Fantastic tour. Took in both the City Tour and Skyline tour.Carol was the tour guide for the City Tour and was very informative. The commentary went on for the entire tour covering the history, architecture and people behind it all.Robert was the guide for the Skyline Tour and was himself the highlight of the tour. The humourous, entertaining and informative commentary did not stop from the moment we got on the bus to when we stepped off. Beautiful scenery and architecture. These tours were the first thing we did when we got to Bath because the toue bus stop was directly across the street from the train station. It gave us an overview of the city so we knew what sites we wanted to explore over the next couple days.I highly recommend this tour.
Rip off - £27.50 for 20 minutes not 50 as specified. Spent most of time at traffic lights .Due to commitments wasnt prepared to prolong the agony.
The City is so small you really dont need the bus tour. Information provided on the buses is repeated multiple times like there is a glitch. Experienced a faulty Jack where only one earpiece worked on each of the tours. There are long pauses with music between the points of interest - like there is nothing else interesting in the city to talk about. As the other reviewer said, for £15, it is not worth the cost.
This is a bus tour of the city split into two routes. One takes you round the city and the other takes you up onto the hills that surround it so you can get some excellent views. One ticket covers both tours and can be used as many times as you like over the course of two days. Ticket prices at the time of writing this are £15 which I think is a tad over priced. Buses are incredibly cramped so if youre tall youll have to wrap your legs around your neck. There is on board commentary from the tour guide which can be listened to through a pair of earphones which are plugged into an outlet beside each seat. However the one I was using was gave out so much static noise it was unlistenable.
