Set near shops and restaurants on a bustling commercial thoroughfare, this modern hotel is 3 km from Mexico City International Airport and 6 km from the ornate Metropolitan Cathedral. The streamlined rooms feature flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and safes. Airy suites add kitchenettes and sitting areas.A complimentary breakfast buffet is served in a bright breakfast room. Other amenities include a gym and a furnished patio. Parking is available for a fee.
No towels provided and only 2 pillows. When I called for towels the lady was extremely rude and made it seem like I was asking for so much. The breakfast in the morning was terrible. This hotel is actually expensive for what it is.
they didnt pick me up from the airport as advertised, and could not take me to the airport the next morning. they run one tiny shuttle every hour and apparently wont run any more when theyre full. unbelievable. also, the light switches in the room are your worst nightmare, and the breakfast stinks. but the rooms are nice.
Great staff makes this a great place to stay here.
VERY BAD HOTEL !!! Worst experience ever! They have really bad costumer service and we couldnt check in 10 min before. NEVER BOOK IT, horrible rooms and most of it HORRIBLE SERVICE !
Good for spend a night before depart to the airport. Clean and nice. The reason that I gave 4 stars is the limitation of the shuttle to be just every hour, you have to reserve at the check in but if the shuttle is full you have to choose an hour before or later and that is not good option if your flight departs at 7:00 and you need the shuttle at 5:00 but it was full so the option are at 4:00 am because 6:00 is too late. Fortunately we made a group and arrange with the driver to open an additional run departing at 4:30. But the lady in the lobby when we tried to reserve told us that there was no additional options just 4:00 am or nothing with not the best attention. In other things the hotel is acceptable.
It is a nice hotel that is reasonably priced. Our room price would compare to Holiday Inn in America but less expensive. The room is nice but simple. One bottle of water provided for two people.Everything is operated by your room card. The elevator your door and the lights in the room. Dont lose it!
Really bad service at this hotel. People at reception act like they don’t care about providing a good service for customers. We only got 1 towel in a double room. Very basic. Did the job. Breakfast super basic.
New, nice and clean and very convenient location close to the Airport. The area around doesnt look good, but the Hotel enlights the neighborhood.
Great place to stay for a quick stay close to a hotel. Nice and clean.
Room without a window that could be opened, 70$ Far too expensive for a hotel that has the installations of a youth club. 1 bottle of free water for a double room (??). Linen that smells like Chloride.
nice staff… clean rooms…. Handy for dining out very close to hotel .. great over night stay for airport… love to stay there again ..
Hotel is really nice. Friendly staff. Free airport ride
Even though the airplanes pass over the hotel the noise is minimum. The crew is kind. To close to the airport.
Highly recommend! Clean and safe establishment. Stayed 2 nights with no issues and everyone was friendly.
Good location, safe, basic breakfast. Only complain is about the smell on the bathroom.
We booked a room for 2 but there was just one set of towels in the room. Room is clean but the air conditioning is very loud. Breakfast was quite poor unfortunately and stuff don’t speak English which I would expect from 4* hotel in the airport area.
Rooms are nice to wait for flight but food is terrible,I do not recommend this place in city.
Stayed in Mexico City for two nightsVery close to the airport, comfy beds, clean room. And healthy breakfast 🍳.Smoking AreaDefinitely I would recommend this to any visitor.
I arrived in Mexico just before lunchtime and didnt fly out until later in the evening so wanted a place to get a shower, have nap and rest before the flight home.I used an app to search for hotels that offered a day rate and found this oneI was really impressedA taxi from the airport cost $MXN 45 and I was there within ten minutesCheck in was fast and easy and free tea and coffee are available tooThe room was big, had great double gazing keeping out the street noise and a really good blackout blind so I got a few hours rest before taking a walk outside and grabbing some food from the stalls near the hotel.Just before checkout I realised I needed to print some documents and the reception did that for me for free, thanksId happily recommend this hotel and stay again, thanks, andrew
The place is cleanCheck in and out is super fastI liked the transportation to airport I recommend for people who have dealys flights
10min from airport, great service, clean comfortable rooms. Close to sights and city! Definitely recommend
My room is hugh but with poor shower headMost of the front desk staffs are with no courtesy including the breakfast in chargeWon’t come again
I had a bad experience, no water whatsoever, no food, no breakfast, the room is very far from the lobby, if you order room service which is from 3pm you have to order from room and leave ur room and walk to reception pay and walk back to wait for it to arrive. Very dark place and if u plan to eat in the morning u will have to leave the hotel. There were much more options around the same area for a better price. In the room a double bed with only one pillow and 1 towel.
Reserved a room for 2 & had towels & pillow for one & we needed to sleep but had to wait 3hrs after talking to the desk a few times - also never got wash clothes. We told the desk person we had to leave at 6:45am to the airport & she told us we could order breakfast at 6:00am. Turns out you can order at 6AM BUT they dont deliver until 7:00am so we went without breakfast. Air conditioner was VERY loud. Only got 2 very small bottles for drinking water. One positive point - they practiced very good safety measures for virus prevention.
New and modern I really liked this City Express. The staff is friendly and there is a shuttle that heads to the airport on the hour. While it is at the airport jet noise is not overwhelming. The neighborhood is very commercial, but safe.
The room is clean and warm in the night in winter. Its quite, you dont hear the planes much and the AC is not noisy, too. Fhe bed is comfortable and they have a few pillows. Its near to the airport and they have a free shuttle service - but I had to wait 30min for it to pick me up and they bring you just every full hour to the airport (-1 Star). The breakfast is simple but thats the case is most of the hotels in mexico city. All in all quite good for the price, and recomendable.
Just ok for a good nights sleep. Overpriced & hygiene questionable. Soundproofing was great, given proximity to airport. Clean rooms; but damp towels as if used, & smelled like old socks!!! Woken up at 7am by room service trying to barge into the room! Breakfast very basic but ok. Located near the airport & hourly shuttles. Overall ok, but have clean towels & wait till checkout to clean the rooms please :)
Great place to stay for a short time. I spent one night, waiting for a connection flight. It is quite, clean, with a great breakfast.
Good hotel for a short stay-over close to Mexico City’s airport. This budget hotel has a great price-quality ratio. I was positively surprised with this hotel. Nothing fancy but certainly comfortable, clean, and location is very convenient as traffic in Mexico City is a nightmare. Staid for one night after a long transatlantic flight and I’m glad I booked this hotel. In less than 10 minutes their transport van picked us up from the airport and after a short drive (over 10 minutes, this is SUPER short in Mexico City), we were at City Express. Check-in was fast and smooth, just what you need after a long trip. The rooms are spacious and quite confortable. The room was quiet but planes flyby all the time (didn’t hear them). Breakfast is good, a selection of fresh fruit, traditional Mexican breakfast and bakery (pan dulce). A choice for everyone. Decent for a budget hotel. There is a small a gym but discipline and creativity will land you a great workout. Staff is also friendly. Recommend it for a short stay if you need to catch an early flight.
Terrible time at check-in. I arrived at 1:00 am with a series of delayed flights and the two employees at the desk were totally overwhelmed with reservation issues from 3 guests before me. Took them 15mn to solve it, and their lack of training was baffling. Avoid if you can. There are better options around MEX airport.
If your flight connection is inconvenient, City Express is a budget alternative to hotels on the airport grounds. Its scrupulously clean. Rooms are sort of like an IKEA display. Its a 10 to 15 minute taxi from the airport. (They supposedly have a complimentary shuttle but were not the only guests to have been given flimsy excuses for its non-availability. Taxi fare is modest though. And the hotel can often summon a driver to take you back to the airport. The breakfast is filling. If youre not prissy about walking in the streets, theres a VIPS diner-style restaurant less than 10 minutes away.
I stayed here on an overnight layover in DF. The hotel is quite clean for the price and the breakfast was pretty decent for Mexico City. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport as well as free Wifi, free bottled water, a gym, and accessible computers with printing. What I must say though is that the staff are quite friendly and very helpful. The company should be pleased with their front desk staff. They allowed us to pay half with cash we needed to get rid of and the other with a card. The only thing that was upsetting was that our beds were pretty stiff. But they seemed new so....maybe that had something to do with it. Otherwise would 10/10 recommend staying here if your passing through.
New building, clean rooms with simple decorThe downside is the airplanes landing at the airport fly right above the hotel. But be reassured that the walls are well sound proof.
This hotel didnt honor my reservation. I was poorly treated by the staff with no solution to my problem. They left me unattended with no other options at the moment I needed the stay; despite the fact that I showed my reservation code done in time plus the credit card hold in the statement/notification. I ended up looking for alternative hotels at 2am. Just imagine if I wouldnt have found another option... Terrible experience. Will never stay in a CityExpress again.
Convenient hotel with close proximity to the airport. Free shuttle bus to the departure lounges. Helpful staff. A taxi from the airport will cost you 70 peso.
I stayed while on a business trip to Mexico the night before we flew out. Compared to where we stayed in Chalpo the first night we where in the country it was very nice. Everything was clean and they provided some bottled water. From my experience in Central America the beds are pretty typical which is very hard compared to the US so if its your first time in the country it might be a shock. Over all it was similar to a business hotel in the US. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was good and the eating area was clean.
Room on the second floor. Nice sized, functional, made to spend a night or two. Bed was good, temperature also good. Front desk staff was very helpful and transportation to and from the airport can be booked for free The includes breakfast could be better. It has chilaquiles and sandwiches to be self-made. Juice and coffee are terrible. Smoking area inside the hotel is nice, there is no bar.
Good, clean airport hotel. I would have given five star if the bed sheets were large enough to cover the bed (weird problem)
Its clean, it has car service, the rooms are really comfortable and the personal is so lovely.
I’m in T2 and called the hotel to pick me up and they just told me they can’t do it right now because of an internal issue, another person said it’s because they only have 2 drivers and one of them was assigned to take a group somewhere else and the other driver didn’t come. I will never stay in this hotel again.
I stayed at the Airport City Express in Mexico City. Customer service was excellent, as well as the facilities. Its very clean and functional. Breakfast was simple but nice.
Close to the airport. Free shuttle prompt and only a 15 minute ride. Breakfast good. Complimentary coffee and tea bar.Firm beds, lumpy pillows but quiet clean and safe. A good buy.
Just 5 minutes from the airport, this new age "mechanical, minimalistic" express hotel has all the perks for you to succeed in your visit to CDMX
This review is based in the terrible experience scheduling the shuttle. I called them to ask for the transportation, they told me to be in door #6 because “the shuttle is almost there”. After 25 minutes I called them back and they said: oohh the shuttle will be there in 30 more minutes, so keep waiting in the cold weather. Terrible lack of communication.
Comfortable, new and attractive price for an airport hotel. Close to the terminals with included transportation. Do not forget to secure a place in the van by telling the front desk the time you need to be there, it runs every 30 min.Front desk staff could be friendlier.
Hotel rooms have all the essential for a night. Have multiple charging stations and A.C. power outlets. Room service is good. Recommend for a night before a morning flight.
My husband and I travel around the world all the time and have stayed in many places , this hotel seemed descent and very clean.Everything was perfect until we came across with Ms.Tania who we met in the lobby and gave us an attitude that made us feel like they didnt appreciate our business. We have had a terrible night at the airport since they canceled our flight and we wanted to check in earlier, we called the hotel and an associate told us that she would have a room available for my family including my one year old daughter at 8:30 am when we came accross Ms. Tania she came to us saying that there was a charge for 600 Mexican Pesos which no one mentioned before plus in a very rude manner she specifically pointed that "we could eat breakfast tomorrow , not today"What type of customer service is this ?I definately wont stay in any of the city express hotels until they train their workers in the right way.Poor customer Service, dont value business , no going out of the way to earn your business!
We arrived and immediately the staff came to pick up our baggage, we were sent to the lobby to complete our check in, which took about 5 minutes, we were given a key for the bedroom and were fastly settled down. We ordered dinner through the room service, the staff took around 45 minutes to bring the meal. In the morning the transport to the airport provided by the hotel was great.
Great hotel very clean rooms. Great staff very friendly very secure, close to airport and city. They have complimentary shutle from airport to hotel as well back to airport and also free breakfast and the food is really good. As well room service food is very good no need to go out for food i recommend room service good flavor food... i recommend this hotel .
As a Canadian i would never stay in this hotel again. The staff ws horrible. Most importantly i told the front desk that i needed to catch a flight at 4am which is the reason i stayed near the airport. The rooms have NO insulation so you hear everybody in the hall room and next door .. I GOT NO SLEEP !!tHE STAFF WAS IGNORANT AS HELL ABOUT IT. They have no respect for foreigners . Worst of all the website said it was 129$ a night and when i arrived they charged 3,855 pesos approx 400$ !! there was nothing i could do about it they told me it was tax? sure it was double the price is tax? Save your money stay at the Camino Real if you have to stay near the airport.
