Circus Bar in San Marcos

Pretty good pizza, classic spot in town.

We went there on a friday evening, which meant that we got a lot of entertainment. There was a live band and another performer. Super nice to see and gave a cozy atmosphere. We got a pizza and pasta, both really good but too much garlic for our taste (the garlic was also close to being raw, which made the taste even stronger). My mom also tried one of the virgin cocktails, but it had a very chemical, perfume-like taste which was not really nice. I had a beer which was great and we enjoyed our evening!

Come for the experience. The food is just okeish. The pizza is too doughy for my taste. The Vodka tonic I had had no tonic water.

Ordered delivery from circus bar twice while we were in town. The service was great, it was quick and easy to do, and the food was equally excellent. Prices were good. Highly recommended

It was a rainy night and the family decided to get some pizza. It was delicious!! We ordered 3 boxes for a family of 9 and it was enough. Each box brings about 8 slices. We got the Hawaiian, meat lovers and one w mushrooms/olives. My favorite was meat lovers (ham, sausage). That isssh tasted like lasagna. I was in heaven!!! The crust was thin/not burnt. If you’re in town; I would give it a try.

Some of the most delicious pizza in Guatemala. Pasta is good to my tastes though some people might think otherwise.

Was recommended to come here because of the live music. We came here on a Monday so didn’t really expect much as far as ambient. But the food was good, (we had pizzabut felt it was over priced. The service was not good at all. We had to call waiters over every time we wanted to add something to the order. There was one time, where a waiter saw me calling him and pretty much ignored me twice when I called him over. My girlfriend and I were the only ones at this place at that time.

The food is soo delicious. You need visit this place if you travel to Panajachel, Sololá.I order shrimp with pesto, and yes the salad is included.

We ate there last night. cool place with a laid back atmosphere with old circus posters all over. delicious food (pizza and salad were top notch), their cocktails are poured nice and strong, just wonderful. the Guitarist playing last night was stunning. a touch of Django in his playing. A+++

I will say this is the best pizza in Guatemala. Best to go during lunch, it is usually crowded during the evenings. Sometimes it has life music.Muy buena pizza!!!

I dont agree with the places rating. The tequila sunrises orange juice seemed watered down and it lacked granadine syrup. The menu descriptions are vague; a dry tomato and jalapeño pizza turned out being a pizza with huge chunks of pickled jalapeno. There are better places around.

I dont know why this place is so popular. It is loud and fairly pricy, my pasta dish was not great.

Not quite sure why this place was rated so high. Skip the tourist trap and head somewhere more local. Wasn’t a fan, food was basic and tasteless.

I really loved the food, really good. The only problem was (big problemwe found a hair inside of our food, a reaaaaally long one. (Imagine it getting caught between my stomach and my tongue). How the employees dealt with the situation was like talking to a stubborn sick kindegardener. You dont pass the blame and make excuses, you eat your pride, say i am sorry, and offer another plate or a free diet caffeine free Coca-Cola and move on instead of escalating the situation with your hard heads. I highly suggest some employee edicate training!

It wasnt as good I expected to be. Everyone recommended me this place that is ok but I had more expectations.

Extremly rude staff. To the point of freaking out my kids. Guy at the door was trying to pick a fight. Go somewhere else. I’d been there last decade a few times and it was good. Such a dissapointment. Service in Ati is usually amazing, people are so polite and nice, not this place.

If you have a craving for well cooked Italian food: this is the place to go in Panajachel, Atitlan! Other restaurants who present Italian food dont put as much effort into it as Circus Bar!The portions are huge! I recommend the pasta: Grateful dead.The horchata is also very tasty.The atmosphere is cozy and fun and when there is live music, the restaurant comes alive!

We picked up takeout multiple times during our stay at Balam Ya & they never disappoint! The menu is so expansive, offers tons of items, all very good.

My husband and I tried to enter this restaurant last night and we were told that we had to be sprayed with a disinfectant atomizer that looked like it was used to disinfect a large building!! Really...not enough for temperature check and hand sanitizer!!! Now we need to be fumigated!!! We went to Ente Restaurant instead, and had an awesome pizza and were treated with respect!!!

The pizza here was pretty good. Not the best pizza Ive had in my life - but Ive eaten some really good pizzas. My girlfriend and I shared a large margherita and were full after it (but some of you might want a bit more).It came with fresh basil on top which, if I was ordering again Id leave it out. They seem to cook the fresh basil a bit and I prefer when its just thrown on after the pizza is cooked. There was also quite a bit of it.I asked for salsa caliente and they brought me some and some sort of chilli salt shake thing which was also tasty.

Very weak mixed drinks, good pizza. Long lines to get in so maybe we should have ordered some beers instead. Mojito and sangria were pathetically made, could not have been half a shot of alcohol and very little wine.

The pizza here is very good - not amazing, especially as it crumbles, so the crust can use a little more heft. There are tons of great pizza, pasta, and drink options, and the vibe and live music are a lot of fun.

The food was great, but the big pizzas were really big and they didnt tell us when we order 7 pizzas for 7 people. When usually people go for 1 pizza for 2 persons... ! We aware of it ! Anyway the pizzas were great just really big and heavy.

The pizza here is phenomenal. Acrobatics and live music with dinner, cant beat that. The atmosphere is cozy but comfortable. Great for families unless youre sensitive to loud music and cheering. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a nice delicious pizza for dinner here. The restaurant is nice with old circus pictures on the wall. The prices are bit more expensive then other restaurants in the area, but the pizza was cooked well and tasted great.

The pizza bad and way too expensive. On the positive side, the atmosphere was nice, drinks were good and the live music was great. However, there are much better places to eat in the area.

Circus is now more of a sit-in restaurant than a bar. Its very dark, as its always been, but it is clean and pleasant. Food was ok and service was good. We were there on a Tuesday evening so maybe it was an off day for going out in Pana, but it definitely didnt feel like the Circus Bar from a few years ago.

Really great pizza and pretty good tapas. Service is good and attentive. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Pana for a fun night out. Live music is awesome here as well on the right night. One star lost because we always seem to eat at a table that is too small and unstable for our dinner. It has a romantic charm that is hard to find in Pana sometimes as well.

Fun Italian/clown themed bar in Panajachel! Very cool vibe in here. No riff raff! Got some pasta with meat sauce, and it was exactly what I was looking for after a long day boating and exploring lake Atitlan. I got a pina colada here and it was super delicious! Kinda pricey. But you get extra quality. Tip: Make a reservation here for dinner. They get crowded. And we got lucky just waking in.

We tried pizza and onion soup and we enjoyed very much. On Fridays they have live music, not sure the rest of the days. I liked a lot the atmosphere of the place. Btw, there is a dog in the picture but thats normal in panajachel and actually adds up to the whole experience

The best pizzas in Guatemala! Very good music almost all the nights, a big variety of food (recently produced or imported from Italy), it is not expensive, and the staff is very friendly. Careful on Saturdays nights, you may not find where to sit; Circus Bar is victim of its success.
