Always fun!! Not super packed inside the theater during our showing (which I preferso it really made for an enjoyable time where I didnt feel extra pressure not to whisper a comment on the film to my friend. The popcorn was actually good and the drinks were great!

Love this theater management is always friendly and accommodating. All the popcorn is fresh and hot and the pricing hasnt gotten out of control. A great place to bring your family.

We love this theater. Its always clean and the manager is often out front dipping popcorn or taking tickets. Fathom events offered are really nice too, now if theyd just bring back the grateful dead fathom events!

The staff was very friendly the prices were cheap and affordable the seats were very comfortable the sound quality is fantastic the only reason this place did not get a five star from me is because this is a minor point but I think it is still worth pointing out the numbers to each theater most are labeled up above each door so everyone can easily spot the right theater the numbers on the theatres were located on the side but to see the numbers you have to completely turn your head or you will walk by your theater and not even notice but all and all this place does not get enough credit I highly recommend this theatre to anyone and I will come back here again

Prices are amazing, especially for matinees. The workers are very knowledgeable about the movies and length of the trailers. Seats are comfortable. Sound was fantastic!

The selection of movies is usually better than its Abingdon rival, the Cinemall, but do yourself a favor and just go there instead because Tinseltowns chairs are very uncomfortable. I imagine anyone with back problems could not make it through an entire showing; personally, without any, I still suffer.

Its a well run old school theater. Not a lot of the premium thrills that some theaters offer but with that comes no premium pricing. So if you are looking for a decent theater experience that doesnt empty your wallet this is a great option.

Tinseltown is a fun movie theater. They have a large arcade & a nice party room. They have 2 snack bars, one close to the theaters so you dont have to walk all the way out just to get snacks. Still pretty pricey, but not as bad as the other theater & not as packed since the other one opened. Its a fun place for a birthday party. And of course its perfect for a date night or a GNO.

Its not all about the expensive tickets to get the best sound and seats. It starts with good customer service with friendly people. A movie theater that is family oriented. A good clean theater and a movie your family can enjoy with out all the hustle and bustle. We still support our local theater. They are the best.

This is by far the best theater in tricities. The manager is amazing he is so helpful and overly nice. He will bend over backwards to make sure your experience is the best. The whole staff is friendly and helpful as well. Price wise is the best you can get with four dollar movies before four and six dollar movies after four. How can you beat that? Most movie theaters are 9.50 and above. Also the prices of popcorn and pop is not bad. You also have to realize that concessions is where they stay in bussiness for any theater. Most theaters make little per movie. If you miss out on this gem of a theater then you are missing out on an experience. I even drive out of my way when another theater is closer just to visit this one. Why because of how they treat their customers. Please come and support them I want them to stay around for many years to come. I had my first date their and it is very special to me and my wife.

Great place to go. Movie tickets are really cheap and the seats and screens are amazing. Got a game room for the kids and good prices on food and drinks

Good and cheap tickets the only down side is the price of popcorn and drinks even a small popcorn is more than my ticket other than that nice clean place

Took my daughter and some friends to see Aladdin for her birthday and we had a very pleasant experience. Even though it was a recent release, we went to a night showing and the theaters were very nice, the tickets were very inexpensive! Its a bit of a drive for us, but we will be back and recommend it to others.

I love taking my family here to watch movies. Prices are the most affordable by far and the employees are super nice. Even the manager is extremely nice. I have watched several movies and fight events here.

Convenient parking lot; friendly, efficient staff; really comfortable seats; great popcorn - what more could you ask for in a theater?!! We went for our first 3D movie & were hooked... cant wait for the next one!

Yes this is an older theater but you cant beat the price and the management is very nice. If I ever run into problems they are willing to fix it any way they can. Thanks for being so awesome!

Friendly fast service with affordable ticket pricing. Always go here to watch a movie. One time, one of the people in my group got sick so we had to all leave since we carpooled, and the staff was amazing about it! They gave us cards so we could come back and watch the movie, without paying again. The only thing that could be better is the snack bar prices. Its a little to pricey, but otherwise, Its a great place to go watch movies!

Good theater! Not as crowded as the pinnacle. I enjoy going here.... popcorn an d drinks are still pricey as of any other theater but other than that i cant complain, movie was great and even refilled my popcorn and drinks before i left..... great place.

Love spending time with my family at the movies.. it was our mommy/daughter date night and it was great til 2 10yr olds decided to pull out their cell phones and turn the lite on and put fake fingernails.. yes they really did!

Went today 12/21 to the 1:50 showing of Bumblebee. I already knew my ticket would be less than $5 and all I had on me were large bills. I had a $5 roll of dimes in my truck so took it. The girl, Becca, who I had to deal with in the ticket booth has solidified Ill never go to the movie theater there again. When she told me it was $4.73 I handed over my role of dimes, legal us currency and she started laughing. She hadnt done this when anyone else in front of me paid. So apparently it was okay to make me feel belittled and embarrassed because I paid with that roll of change? I certainly wasnt breaking $100 bills for $4.73. Cinemall with all its faults has never laughed at me for paying in rolls of change(its a good way to get rid of loose change). I sent in a complaint online, though there is no actual clear way to do that so I hope it was done right and have yet to receive a response. This isnt how you treat people who live in the area youre serving.

Nice place. First time in this theater. Lots of stairs to get up to the movie area. Then more stairs to go down to the seating area. A little unnerving when sight and balance is an issue. But other than this one theater, its a very nice place to watch a movie!

Does not have the reclining chairs and the free refills are limited to one with the large popcorn and large drink. The seats are uncomfortable. The area was cleaned before the movie and no sticky floor where I was. The A/C did not seem to be working well and it was hot enough to cause my brother to sweat profusely.

Matinee cost $4, for the most part people are pretty nice except for one time I went there, one girl was super rude. Other than that def. the best value cheapest place to go. I will continue taking my family to cinemark tinseltown, where we ball on a budget.

With movie pass were able to see a different movie every day and any of the local theatres. Tinseltown is just as comfy as Abingdon Cinema and The Pinnacle. They also have half prince tickets on Tuesday evenings and better prices on popcorn and drinks. Friendly staff.

I went here for the first time last week and it was very nice. They were fairly comfortable seats, and I enjoyed watching the movie there overall. The service was excellent as well!

Price is definitely worth it!! The price of candy and drinks are over priced as all movie theaters are. The seat was better then most and the arm rest folds up so you have more room for those cozy moments. Will go again

Tinseltown is a great deal for a good movie viewing experience. The prices are phenomenal and its comfortable and clean. It doesnt have stadium seating, but the price is worth it and the seats are comfortable.

This was only my second time going to this movie theater and I dont remember that much about it the first time. Todays visit was great though and I loved the staff there. The lady waiting on us was very nice and even made a comment about the movie that we were going to see so that showed that they were compassionate about the movies they show on some level. Even the people working the concessions were very friendly as well. The theater was very clean and taken care of. Easily one of my favorite movie theaters if it wasnt such a drive to get to it. Might be worth it for some of their movies though. Especially the ones like today that the local movie theaters werent showing.

The matinees here ridiculously cheap! I love going here after paying NYC prices! Even though its not as fancy as the new theater on the TN side, I still think I like this one better. Its quieter, cheaper, and my kids love it. Hope its around for a while!

Absolutely worst implementation of a new policy I have ever experienced. We have been three times in four weeks. NO mention of purse policy. They have a BIG SCREEN where organizations provide information, but make the ticket taker responsible for communicating to their cusomers.

Today I went from my movie to the bathrooms near the front door. I looked over at the concessions and there was two girls behind the counter stuffing their greasy faces with Taco Bell right over top where the serve customers. It was nasty watch these hog like eaters cramming face right in view of everyone. Last time I checked workers had a break room to slop in. Love the movie but will never buy concessions again. I dont want ABC Taco Bell in my popcorn. It was gross!

Very reasonable prices for early seating on movies. Comfortable seating and plenty of room. Food is expensive but you get free refills on large drink and large popcorn.

We catch all of our movies here at Tinseltown. Even better since they replaced the cloth seating to leather. Plus we get the senior rate all the time at $4.19 each for every movie we see.

My favorite place to watch a movie. They seem to be kept clean and the theaters are very large and roomy. The tickets arent too expensive amd theyre always playing the best movies. Im a total nerd so I make alot of trips down here. :)

This place is great and has been my theater of choice in the tri-cities for my entire life - including now that the new Pinnacle 12 theater has opened.The prices are unbelievably good. You can barely rent a movie for the price of a matinee here. But dont let that convince you that this is a low end budget theater. The seats are comfortable (and new as of the last year or so). The screens are bright and big. The sound is good. The staff is friendly and the facilities are always clean.I hate to see this place losing so much business to the new Pinnacle 12 down the road. I went there once and paid 3x as much for a newer looking lobby, reclining seats, and a bigger crowd. Not worth it.

Tinsel town is a decent budget movie theater. Its conveniently located at near Exit 7 in Bristol Virginia. The picture is sharp and price is reasonable.The sound system is often incorrectly set. This primarily manifests in the advertisement / previews before the main film. The stadium seating is being to show age. The seats are becoming worn and the supporting bars inside the cushions can often be felt. This is most apparent in the center seats.The floors and bathrooms were clean. And the main concession area was well staffed. The secondary concession was unstaffed which causes inconvenience if a refill is desired and your in one of the far theaters.Overall the theater is a convenient and is an excellent choice for as a budget choice. Its clean and the feature film displays and sounds good.

Great theatre! The seats are quite comforatable and have been redone some time within the past year. Tickets are very cheap and it does not tend to be very crowded. The sound quality is up to par, as is the viewing experience itself. The concessions are easily accessible at the front of the theatre and serve quickly and without hassle. I would reccomend for a casual movie with the family!

Love the afternoon week days. Sometimes, just two of us in theater. Popcorn is great. The only complaint is the popcorn and other snacks cost way more than they should.

For the Tri-Cities, this is my theater of choice. For the price of your ticket and concessions, they provide the best picture and sound and the most comfortable and clean theaters. The drive from Johnson City is worth it when compared to the truly deplorable Carmike 14 cinema.UPDATE: Years later, and even with the addition of the new theater at the Pinnacle, this joint is still my favorite theater. Sure, it doesnt have all the bells and whistles of Pinnacle 12, but its reasonably priced, well-staffed by cordial folks, and great picture and sound. Sometimes, for certain films, I would go to the Pinnacle 12.I paid $75 (tickets and concessionsto take my family to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at the Pinnacle. That was a mistake. The 3D projector broke but the staff didnt let anyone know until 30 minutes after showtime. And this was on opening weekend! So then all 100+ people had to stand in line for refunds (tickets only, I had to eat the concession prices). Another 30 minutes later, I had my refund and went to Tinseltown and watched the film (in 3D alsofor less than half the price I paid to be pissed off at the Pinnacle.

The only thing I hate about this place is how far I have to drive to get there. Prices are super affordable ($4 matinee tickets, $6 regular). Theatres and bathrooms are typically clean. Screens are pretty big and usually not too crowded.

Its always a great experience at Tinseltown. The staff are really helpful in finding the right movie each visit my daughter and I make. My complaint is that every child wants popcorn and a drink with a movie, right? Tinseltown does a 4-5× mark up on prices of refreshments. For my family, we go when we have it in our budget to go. I dont like having to explain to my daughter she is not allowed popcorn and drink with her movie because it costs $12-20 for one drink and popcorn. They also took away free refills of large orders of those. I think Tinseltown does well enough that each child could be given, yes given a small popcorn and small drink on the house so that no child feels like they are not getting the full experience of a movie and popcorn. Last time I went with my daughter, it me around $50 after she played 2-3 games and got her treats, over $20 of that went to a lrg popcorn and drink in which I was told AFTERWARDS, they didnt give refills anymore. I just dont understand with such good competition below in Bristol TN and up in Abingdon VA, why does Tinseltown not offer these refreshments at better prices. The time before last we went, she wanted to take her water in and was told no. I went to buy one for her and a simple bottle of water was almost $5 and I told her no she couldnt get it. Its hard to explain to a child why they cant have something so simple, especially when they see other kids parents buying whatever their children ask for. It saddens her, why is it that my daughter has to be all sad about something so simple? I dont know, all I can say is she is a child and its hard to explain some things to children.

Awesome theater with very affordable price of admission. Friendly staff, clean. . Ive gone there almost every week since October of 2016 when I moved here from another state. Nothing at all bad to say about this theater.

Nice theater but prices for food are to high. Prices are better than the theater at Pinnacle. Right off 81.

This is our favorite movie theater. Reasonable ticket prices. Reasonable snack prices. And I get coupons in my email to make it all even cheaper. Great screens. Great sound. Very comfortable seat.

Second best movie theater in the Tri-cities after the Marquee Pinnacle 12. This used to be my go to theater in the area, and they offer special events (met opera, Dr Who special events, Star Trek special events, etc). Tickets and concessions are reasonable. They were doing renovations to the lobby and other areas the last time I visited.

While this theater doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the new ones they are the best in my opinion. They have priced movies more affordable then all the others. The seats and theaters are in good shape and clean. Sound quality is pretty amazing. The yearly refillable popcorn and drink are a must for avid movie watchers. My wife and I are here at least 2 times a month and sometimes more. This is actually farther from our home but I would rather drive the extra 15 minutes because I like the theater that much more. Also for the gluten sensitive folks the popcorn without adding butter is safe to eat.

Be warned: The person selling the tickets will tell you its OK for someone under seventeen to see an R rated movie as long as they are accompanied by someone over 21. However, the person tearing the tickets will not let anyone under 17 through to see an said R rated movie and they DO NOT give refunds.TL;DR: Tinseltown is perfectly fine with taking your money and then not giving what you paid for.

A consistently amazing staff, super clean bathrooms and theaters, and great concessions. Theres nothing I hate worse than a sticky theater floor, and the floors here are never sticky. Considering that Im here around 4 times a month, I feel like Id know. Keep up the good work, Tinseltown.

This movie theater is very very premium. It is also very fresh. They use the best of scents to make your nostrils very happy. This is a very amazingly good fresh experience. If youre lucky there might even be left over popcorn on the floor to have as a snack. I enjoy this very much.

pricey but cheaper than kingsport ticket wise. if u go to their website they have weekly coupons that are really nice like free medium drink with any size popcorn. and if u upgrade to a large its like 25-50 cents! so 6 ish dollars for large popcorn and large drink...i think so!
