Stucco walled dining room with false brick details and tiled floor serving traditional Italian menu.
Wonderful authentic experience, perfect pizza, pasta and fantastic, friendly service.
I can’t stress enough how delicious the food was here! It is absolutely the best Italian food you can possibly have and I was so grateful to have find this gem. The owner and the waitstaff are straight from Italy, the pasta are homemade and their pizza is OMG! Delicious better than NY. Yep, sorry my Italian friends back home, they are truly the best! And sorry, this was long overdue
We were seated immediately without reservations on a somewhat busy night which was lovely. Ordered 2 beers & pasta dishes. Penne Amatriciana was alright, sauce was tasty but the pancetta was inedible. Rigatoni alla Genovese sauce was quite watery. Some extra parmesan cheese on the side would have been appreciated. Service was fast and generally friendly (all but one waiter, who seemed a bit agitated with us as we had finished our food but not payed yet, we were only finishing our Peroni pints), prices reasonable for Temple Bar area.
This place has a great Italian dynamic, the food is done with passion and you are always made feel welcome. Been a regular since 2011 and albeit there were a few hiccups here and there, Ciao Bella Roma gets 5 stars for holding the standard for such a long time. Bravo!
Really nice. Had a nice dinner with my fiance. Food was really great and tge staff very nice 😊
The food was tremendous. The linguine with king prawns was amazing but the customer service was very irratic. The waitress only took an order for 1 drink but there was 4 of us at the table. Very odd.We were asked if we wanted dessert - we did but nobody returned with menus or to take our order. We paid the bill and left, feeling a bit puzzled.
To recommend . Good place to eat good food. The time there were wonderful and they made it even more special having a funny person going around. The food is good.Freshly cooked and well presented .Friendly staff, clean venue, very fast service had food within 10-15 mins of ordering.
Amazing place, food, staff and deal of the day!!! Delicious pizza, tasty wine... friendly staff!! Definitely recommend the place!!
My favourite Italian restaurant in Dublin city center:The staff is wonderful, the place spacious and atmospheric, especially downstairs. Pizza and other dishes are excellent and not overpriced like most of restaurants in Dublin. They often have great deals until 6 PM. Located on the end of Temple Bar, but away from the chaos. ❤️
Good for a cheap eat but a few things to watch. Anything but the house wine is way over priced, sea food to be avoided, pizza safe bet. Saw staff get the beer order wrong, take it back, pour it into another glass and top it off with the right order.
A handy Italian place in Temple Bar accessible and with good pizza. Friendly staff.
Great italian atmosphere in City of Dublin, we love it!! 😍👌🎉 Professional service, nice food and wine, not pricy even has a menu offered. Highly recommend them
Had a lovely experience here! Food arrived quickly and staff were lovely and gave wonderful service. Could tell the ingredients in the pizza were very fresh and it was delicious! Would recommend getting an espresso at the end of your meal. The total for a pizza, beer and espresso was €21, very decent value for a high quality dining experience. I will be back again!
I was very disappointed with the dish I got. It was good, dont get me wrong, but portion compared to other dishes was twice as small. Maybe it was one dish, still... Disappointed to get something like this. I ate ate like 3 forks. Was not there much more..
Absolutely fantastic. Starters were expensive but well worth it just in terms of the size and quality. Mains equally as good. Didnt opt for dessert as I couldnt eat another bite. Got a bottle of wine, let me taste in advance and staff conducted themselves very professionally. Will be 100% be back!
This is a lovely Italian restaurant with a great Monday to Friday lunch menu of starter, main course and a glass of wine for €10.90! The food is excellent, with decent portions and a nice wine. I highly recommend it for the lunch menu.
Honestly, my favourite Italian restaurant in Dublin. Fantastic menu(pizza, meat, vegetables - all is very delicious), polite staff, convenient location, cozy interior. They have three big rooms so youll always find a place. Also one cool thing - the lunch here is only for 10.90 on weekdays. If you are a fan of Italian cuisine, this is your place.
Disappointed, we ordered pizzas and pasta. Pizza was somehow wet? Not greasy but wet and lacking in flavor. The pasta was VERY disappointing as it tasted like it was shop bought and like any other average pasta, said it came with sausage bits but no sausage was present. Two stars because of reasonable price and friendly waiter.
Their lunch special is extremely good value and delicious. Appetizer, main and a glass of wine for EUR 10.90 is a steal. Pizza was very tasty, white wine fresh and crispy. Would definitely recommend this place, hadnt been there in a while, but the quality of their food is still very high!
Had the most delicious meal here this evening with family celebrating my birthday. Huge portions of tasty calamari and linguine frutti Di mare. Kids enjoyed their pizzas, finished off with tirimisiu and espresso, sneaky sambucca too. Wonderful staff and the food was just like what youd get in Italy or Sicily. Bellissimo .
Satisfactory pizza and pasta, but haphazard service. The two tables that came in after us, and ordered after us, were both served before us. And the waiters were uninterested in having a conversation about that aspect.Prices are rather steep for Italian staple menu items, and €26 for a bottle of house red is over the top (April 2019). Makes Londons Italian restaurants look like an absolute bargain!I remember a much better experience than this on previous visits - admittedly 11 years ago. Next time Im in Dublin, I wont be eating at this place.
There are a decent number of Italian restaurants in Dublin, and this competes strongly. The menu is a dizzying array of choices that will never leave you bored. The ingredients in each dish felt fresh, and though I cant confirm, I suspect the pasta is fresh as well. If it isnt, they had me fooled.I ate from two separate gnocchi dishes, and both were satisfying. The pizzas on adjacent tables looked incredible and Ill definitely head back for one of those. In addition, the portions are absolutely massive, especially given the very accessible cost. Many reviews I read before going told of rude or inattentive staff. I suspect these were North Americans accustomed to waiters at your elbow for your every need. While that would be a bonus, the service was solid and I had no complaints. This one is definitely going on my list for a second visit.
I have come here for food on many occasions over the years, it has always been one of my favourites. The food is always great especially the pizzas.unfortunately the waitress was rude and abrupt with my wife and I, especially when we asked for a high chair for our 7 month old.another waitress carrying plates ran into the back of our baby nearly squashing him and almost dropped the plates on him.fortunately he was unhurt but the waitress barely stopped to apologise. This was a place I used to recommend to others but unless the staffs attitude changes I wont come back
Unfortunately was really disappointed this evening. I have been going to this lovely restaurant for the last 20 years and the food and service is generally excellent. But this evening the restaurant wasnt busy and I was bringing my wife for what I hoped would be a romantic meal and the only seat the waitress would offer us was beside the door with a draft coming in. We requested to be seated in another (there was quite a few emptyand we were willing to wait but the waitress just threw her hands in the air and it was a case of take it or leave by her reaction. So we left and went around the restaurant where we were welcomed as I would have expected in a pizzeria
We use this restaurant quite a lot as it it one of the restaurants we use as a DreamTrips Local for our travel club. This means we can eat here and earn a percentage of the bill back off our next Holiday, which is amazing. We only ever pick the best restaurants, and this is one of them.Ciao Bella Roma specializes in Italian, but there ARE other things on the menu to choose from, including vegetarian and vegan friendly meals. It is based in Temple Bar which is central to everything, so you can have a meal here on the way TO or coming FROM any event in Dublin City Centre. It is knows as one of the best Italian Restaurant in Dublin and when you taste the food, you will know why. The last time I was there, I had the most amazing sauteed spinach with garlic and olive oil and beautifully baby boiled potatoes with herbs. Absolutely gorgeous, and I didn’t even need a main course after, but most of my friends had the Steak and it DID taste amazing.Ciao Bella is a very authentic restaurant with a relaxed cosy feel, and the service is fantastic. If Pizza is not your thing, and you don’t feel like pasta, there is an absolute plethora of stuff to choose from as this quaint and quirky restaurant has the biggest menu I have ever seen in a restaurant of its size.
If you are looking for a restaurant with a great quality of Sea food with an affordable price, this is the right place for you. If you are boring of being eating the same menu over many restaurants in Dublin and you are looking for something new to try, you will love this place. Friendly staff, Good price and Amazing food. You won’t regret.
Food was amazing and portions were huge. I think they need more waiters to cover the three dining areas though, people had to wait a lot to be served.
We ordered spaghetti carbonara with my friends. We werent able to eat it as was extremely salty. We couldnt not get an attention of the staff when we needed it ( we were the only one in the restaurant). The waitress was very rude and impolite and nearly screamed on us for bad reviews. They exchange our dish for pizza, however my friends suffered from food poisoning next day. Do not recommend.
Came here on a Friday evening with three others, I had only rang up earlier that day to secure a booking. It’s a very easy restaurant to miss and is quite cosy. For some reason it was very hot inside - uncomfortably so and the wait staff repeatedly forgot our order of water. The food is quite nice italian food but with the heat, the lack of water and attention from wait staff I had to mark it down to a 3.I would go back during a quieter time.
Havent been here half enough. Wine served at a proper temp. Food as good as the chefs granny. Today I got Rum Babas. Never been rushed or asked to leave. Brilliant food, great value, amazing place
Great pizza & skinny fries. Lovely Italian decor/atmosphere and staff are very friendly.
The restaurant is located in the heart of Dublin. In parliament Street. It is an authentic Italian restaurant. The food is definitely good. I noticed that sometime the food can be bad as well and it depends when the chef has just been changed. Overall the pizza is good and the main courses are delicious either. I suggest to go there and try the food. It worth. 4*? Just because I noticed that the service is not so efficient. Up and down and for a restaurant is not the best.
We have had great evening meal with friends. Service was really good and food was amazing. Cooked perfectly, as I remember it from my holidays in Sardinia. The one thing that changed this review to 3 star was the behavior of the owner. She had problem that we were in the hurry when paying for the bill. She was giving out to us and to the waiter that served us. He could not possibly do anything in this particular situation. It was outside his control. (Waiter was brilliant). Very disappointing behavior coming from the owner.
The food was delicious! I had a lovely glass of organic red wine. The staff were warm n welcoming, our waitress worked as though she wanted us to have a happy evening.
Always perfect! And loads of Italian inside which is a great sign 😁Every time Im there I feel like visiting a friend. The food is simple and delicious, the vine very tasty and the staff friendly. And you must try their Tiramisu :)
The food was good but did not like the service and the place is not that clean. Worth to have an experience. I highly recommend the fish of the day
We went here based on a friends recommendation of good but inexpensive food. I was disappointed on both fronts. In relation to the price, it depends on what you order. I was unlucky enough to order chicken with lemon - avoid this at all costs. The portion was tiny, with only a small piece of chicken breast with a side salad, but the cost was roughly €14! My friends had more substantial meals. One of them had the calzone and, having tried it, it was just as unappetising. The dough was extremely salty. The place was extremely busy when we were here so the staff were rushed and the food took an awfully long time.On the bright side, the menu is huge with around 70 dishes (not including deserts), so Im sure there are a few great ones in there. Ill need to try this place again and hopefully have a more enjoyable time.
Food was really nice and reasonably well priced. The service was excellent. The place was busy as it was a couple of weeks before Christmas and we were a big party. Service was very efficient food was fantastic. The only problem we had was as a parent of a kid with special needs we had to go downstairs for the toilet and it was a cubicle in the gents as opposed to a special needs toilet.
Let me tell you - best restaurant in Dublin. You have no idea what you are missing! The fried calamari is among the best calamari I have ever had! Youve got to try it!
This is my favorite restaurant in Dublin to eat Italian. However, today I had the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in terms of staff. We were greeted by a rude manager, who gave us a hard time throughout the night. When we made the complaint (to her, because her supervisor didnt come to talk to us), her attitude was still the same, making excuses for her, instead of taking the complaint and apologising, which basically was again, another hard time.Customers not only buy food in restaurants, they buy services, and the overall experience. Next time I would definitely think twice if I want to go back.
Nice Italian restaurant close to Temple Bar. Starters and Pizza could definitely be more authentic and have better quality. Pasta is actually quite decent.
Lovely spot and great food I do recommend vegetarian pizza, tagliatelle fruit di mare and panacotta
Amazing restaurant, with wood fired pizza. The pizza is so nice, and tastes very good. We liked it so much the first day we were in Dublin, that we went back the next couple days too. They have very good appetizers as well, and ask for the chili oil.
Visited here for lunch. The restaurant has a rustic decor and is set on two floors. The lunch menu costs €12.50 for 3 courses, including a glass of wine as one course, if you want wine. We got in early (12:30so service was very fast. Food was tasty. The pizza I got was more than 12 inches in diameter, struggled to finish it! Service was good, even though the place was almost full by 1pm. I think I remember that the lunch menu extends up to 6pm, so this restaurant is good value for money as an early bird option.
The food was OK. I wouldnt say is the best pizza in town but Calamari was good. Its a bit pricey compared with some other Italian restaurants in Dublin. Portions are pretty big though. The staff was nice but the place was crowded (sat nightand the service was very slow.
Great little find. Took a tour and looking for a late meal and this place hit the spot. Very welcoming. Had meat and cheese platter great to share and bolognese was fantastic very flavourful. Good price. Will be back. We sat upstairs but great cozy cellar down stairs
Nice Italian food, was there with a few friends and i am going back for sure.
I ate there at the suggestion of a bouncer from a nearby bar. I wish Id gone earlier on in my trip so I could have tried more of the menu. The food came out quickly and the fresh pasta was so delicious; it really hit the spot after a long day on my feet sightseeing and after weeks of meat and potatoes. I only wish Id had room leftover for dessert!
A regular visitor here, thanks to the fixed price lunch menu. We also had the rehearsal dinner on the night before our wedding here, as they are good at dealing with large groups. Very decent Italian pizza and pasta.
One of the best Italian restaurant in Dublin. I have been here several times and I have never been disappointed. The menu contains authentic Italian dishes and pizzas are delicious. They have a good wine menu too. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed and service friendly.
