Churchill's Food and Spirits in Flint

The music is too loud. People have to huddle and speak loud to be heard. The food is mediocre. The servers were outstanding. With a large group, the servers were attentive.

Food was great! Service from Dana and Chef Tyler was great, they both did a great job!

Good food. Cool place. Horrible slow service.

Pepper jack burger will leave a pleasant burn on your lips.

Food was pretty good but I CANNOT get over finding my waitresses long hair in my food or the attitude/eye rolling she had everytime I wanted to order another drink or ask a question . Was going to have a family dinner here of 25 but after the service from the waitress Im finding somewhere else. Pretty sure I heard the other workers calling her "Skyler".

Definitely a hidden jem in downtown Flint. After spending time outside doing the Alice and wonderland experience and finding all the clues and completing all the challenges I (and my fellow wonderlandersworked up an appetite and were very thirsty! Was walking and seen Churchills, never been so decided to try. Food was great! Burger was cooked to correct temperature and fries crispy like I like them. Kayla my server was excellent. They were busy because of the event but she made sure to check on us and no issues with the ordering. The food and service will definitely have me returning!

The food?????? Sweet baby jesus. So. GOOD.I was there yesterday afternoon and got the Bourbon BBQ Burger. When I tell you this burger patty either melted or fell apart in my mouth... I couldnt believe it. 😂 I couldnt stop eating it. So whoever cooked that around 3 pm yesterday. Thank you. Thank you so much. Haha 🤙🏼4 star is only for the server. She wasnt bad at her job at all, she just seemed like she didnt want to be there. Not really enthused.

Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a nice place to grab a bite to eat downtown. The cheese curds and pretzels were both amazing. As was the smoked old fashioned. All of our party had great food. We sat in the front window table and felt like we had a quiet place to chat.

Stopped in for bikes on the bricks, cold beer and a wrap. Good food, good service.

Best ribeye dinner in the state! Also love Mondays when the outfit is playing. Love the local purchasable art too.

Good atmosphere but they were understaffed due to a large party. We sat on the patio and I had to go to the bar after a 20 minute wait to order my drink because the waitstaff was MIA.

Love Churchills! Food is absolutely amazing Everytime... Whether its lunch or dinner they have something great.Drinks are really cool.Service is quick so if you need to order lunch you can online or phone and itll be ready so you can get back to work and eat.This isnt typical barfood its made fresh to order and hand battered or spiced up a notch by their amazing chef.Please for lunch try their chicken quesadilla its so good!

Food is amazing, bartender’s know what they are doing and its got a MASSIVE selection of whiskey. Legendary place!

Great food, perfect and friendly service by waitstaff, Chris. Would give them more than 5 stars if I could. First time going there for lunch. Have only been there on the weekend before.

Winston burger was incredible! Im a burger lover and this one might have just hit my top 10 list. Really juicy and flavorful they definitely use high quality beef here. Our server was great and really friendly. I liked the decor as well. They had live music at the time too which was a nice touch to dinner. Will definitely return when I can!

Food was great! Had the 5 Alarm burger and cajun fries...nice heat and good flavor. Paired with Keewanaw Brewings Widow Maker, awesome dark beer.

I cannot recommend. I got the beer battered Atlantic cod. First the good: It was hot when it arrived at the table. But it was tiny and I’m pretty sure I’ve had better in a middle school cafeteria. I ordered the truffle fries, which they forgot. Then they brought me a replacement and they were terrible. Others in my party ordered them and said they enjoyed theirs. But mine had Parmesan on only one side of the plate with very little truffle flavor and everyone agreed mine were terrible. There was very little staff for service on top of everything else. Also the beer was served warm. I’m not a fan.

While they were short staffed when we got there, the staff was more than attentative to us and our 2 children. Food came pretty quickly, all things considered. Food was very good, would go back again if we are in the area!

Awesome steak, even the brussel sprouts were good. Great drink selection as well. Recommend getting mini tacos and bread sticks for hors doeuvres.

Food was excellent. I thought Id try the Brussel sprouts as a side since there were several great reviews, unfortunately I was disappointed. Maybe I will try the appetizer of them and get the full affect. Otherwise, the rest of our food and drinks made up for. The truffle fries are amazing and highly recommended

This is the place to be. Best kitchen Ive found in Flint, the food is AMAZING! The Servers and Bartenders here are always nice and super friendly. Signature Cocktails are a must try.

Great atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome!!!!!!!! She had the whole bar seating area to wait and pulled it off flawlessly. The garlic truffle fries are amazing!!!! Will be back!

Live band was awesome. Fish and chips (truffle frieswere delicious. Too involved in eating amazing food to take a picture. Great beer/whiskey selection too.

Exceptional atmosphere, food, and drinks. They do a lot of in house prep with their food menu. The sweet potato fries and the burger were crafted from fresh ingredients in house. The best I ever had. Topping the meal of with Michigan craft beer recommend by their bar tender, Callie, perfectly tied the meal together.Even if you have no need to visit Flint...you absolutely should just for Churchills 🍻🍻🍻

Fast friendly service with a smile, excellent food.

Building is beautiful and the atmosphere is pleasant, but its a place for 20 year olds. Food is over-priced and boring. Portions were big enough, though. My problem was, my server. He had only 3 tables, and couldnt handle those. I had to ask for silverware and everything else. Server kept disappearing. I had to go look for my server to get the bill. He asked me for a drink refill after he brought me the bill. (that makes no sense Server seemed confused, lost, and absent. I tipped him because I felt sorry for him, but wish i wouldnt have. His hair was a mess and not pulled back either. Thats NOT ACCEPTABLE in the restaurant/bar business.

They have done a great job turning an old hometown bar into a solid Gastro pub with a great selection of food, as well as great drinks, and the beat bourbon selection in Mid-Michigan. You’ll frequently find live music and full concerts on the weekend as well. Check it out for sure!

This was supposed to be chicken tenders, it’s fried in fish fry, dried out, jus in edible and how hard snd fry it is

Food was good. But the truffle fries I probably wont order again theyre 7.50 for a side and they just taste like normal french fries and dont really have anything on them. Lol 😆

Great meal and ambiance. I had Southwest Turkey Burger and a glass of JKs cider which was so delicious! Definitely more upscale than when I frequented in college 20 years ago. I love the grown up Churchills as much now as the bar I remember from my youth. I grew up, too!

It was ok, qhen me and my son walked in there were 4 more ladies that walked in after using, the hostess automatically went to them first and sat them. I didnt say anything I turned and walked out I ended up coming back because the other establishment disnt have anything for no meat eaters. I didnt really get to try the drink I wanted because they ran out of ingredients. I got thr quinoa wrap it was just ok.

If you are in downtown Flint, MI, you need to stop here. John Saites is a bourbon and scotch expert.Allow him to steer you I the right direction. If John is too busy ask for Tom at the bar, he take care of you just as well. Next time Im in town I will definitely be coming back to visit John and Tom.

The short rib tacos and the balsamic Brussels are life. You better get down here and find out

Shout out to Matt our bartender! He was awesome! First time here and being a big bourbon lover this was great. Awesome selection of rare bottles and variety of unicorns here. Cozy and fun setting that has an original and welcoming charm. Great burgers and prices overall. Will be back soon.

Really enjoyed our visit for lunch. Always heard about this place but never tried it out. Pizza was amazing and great drink selection.

Beautiful old pub! Still has the old charm, and old fashioned decor. We dined on appetizers for lunch, and sampled some local hard ciders. Nothing disappointed, the wait staff made some excellent recommendations. We found it very warm and inviting, very pleasant.

Love the space. Great service! Sweet Potato fries are so good! Burgers here are also great. Draft beer selection is good. I was charged for samples of the beer, which I wasnt expecting and even stated that, "I only wanted to try a sample, to decide which beer to buy." Yet they filled up the sample glass to the top and charged me a few dollars for each one. Disappointing.

Very laid back. Food was excellent and a good offering of craft brews. The setting was dark lit with a old timey feel. It works well for this space. Had no problems finding parking, food came out in a reasonable amount of time for the mount of traffic. Staff was friendly.

Churchills is one of my favorite places downtown, the food is fantastic and the fish and chips are some of the best. Im a whiskey lover, so being able to try all of the different things you cant get elsewhere is always fun. Last visit I had a pear cider that was really good too. They are usually very accommodating to larger groups as well.

Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. Honestly this place has everything I want in my local bar. They have music, but I believe they have moved on to focus on live bands. I ordered the loaded fries, not what Id suggest for a single person meal. The cheese got hard when it cooled pretty quickly. This is nothing like the home fries they used to have😢. Parking in the area isnt as sketchy as 10 years ago. They do have outside seating. And are friendly with our pokemon catchers.

Great local restaurant with large beer selection and craft drinks. I had the rosemary rubbed ribeye and it was cooked perfectly.

Great bartenders - especially on Thursday nights. The Little Winston late night burger and homemade chips is a steal for under $4 with the purchase of a drink. I like the Zombie Killer on tap served in a tulip glass or the smoked bourbons the offer. Have $2 wells for happy hour. They even started carrying a few tequilas and mescals to accommodate my husband and my palettes. Great neighborhood bar.
