BEST tartare sauce Ive found in the country.

My partner and I were visiting Queenstown & we were recommended this place. It was absolutely delicious that we went back the next day for more! Had the classic Hoki with the Chur’s seasoning for our fries. The location is a bit inaccessible but totally worth it. Would recommend ordering online before heading down as there may be a long waiting time especially during peak hour.

Value - 5/5Taste - 5/5Probably one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Would definitely recommend the orange roughy and blue cod if that is available! The hoki is great too if you are looking for a good value fish. The fresh battered oysters are also delicious!Regarding the other foods: the chips, squid, corn nuggets, mac and cheese bites were pretty average tasting, but they are still of decent value.

I don’t agree with the 4.8 star review I saw on google when I ordered last night. The blue cod fish was good, however it was sticking on the fries so everything below was all groggy. Fries tasted good but not all of them could be eaten. About was for the 3 stars. The remaining 2 stars could not be given as the other pack which consists of handcut fries, chicken nuggets, crab stick, sausage, squid, were all not tasty at all. The colour of the food looks was dark not like the other fish and chip pack, why? All were fried too hard and not so nice. Salty too. We didn’t touch most of the second pack and fries of the first pack. Quite disappointing that I had to express my disagreement in a 4.8 star review. Sorry.

Just give this place a try! Well worth the effort.Quirky requirements for you to order online. Unable to order from the guys face to face. Duh. Otherwise a superb place to get your fish and chips fix.No where to dine in. More for a grab and go meal. Tried the cod,squid and scallops. Loved it all. And of course the chips rocked!

a great filling amount of chips. i mostly order a feed from here when the blue cod is available because the hoki isn’t the best. and just a heads up, don’t get the grilled fish because battered is always the way to go!

As we were staying in Kamana lake house, Chur’s fish and chips was literally right around the corner, and that is such a blessing!If you’re looking for fish and chips, look no further. We tried this on our first night in Queenstown and ate Churs for 3 out of 4 nights. One was given to Fergburger.Of special mention is the scallops. This is a must order and one bite of the sweet and succulent scallop will be enough to convince you.The fish and chips itself is great with generous amounts of chips and the blue cod and hoki breaded fish being fantastic.I love that they also let you choose to add salt, pepper and vinegar to the dish.Again, we stayed in kamana and basically bought the food and ate it minutes after it is made. That’s one of the reasons why it tastes absolutely fantastic but I believe it will still be awesome even if it takes a little longer before you can dig in.Must try.

love the vibe here with the tall kiwi churbro lad, good fish and good chips, worth the trip out of queenstown and cheap as chups, better than alot of the food at queenstown central and so much cheaper and hearty

Best fish and chips in Queenstown. However, when we visited on Saturday evening the portions of fish were tiny and much smaller than in the past.Portions of chips are massive (possibly to make up for the lack of fish?). For two people Id suggest only one portion of chips + two fish, instead of a fish and chips each. The chips are thick cut.Still my favourite for now, but slipping.

Very disappointing. Went there to order some fish and chips. Didn’t aspected it to be so complicated. At the shop they told me I have to order online and they didn’t take my order at the shop. 😂

Highly recommend the BBQ bacon chicken burger. Also crumbed Hoki and curry chips were very tasty. Good value for money, quality takeaways, with friendly service.

omg - i have just finished eating the best chips and fresh pineapple fritter i’ve ever had in my life. i wasn’t going to stop at chur but i did. you must too as it is incredible. amazing service as well. don’t dilly dally go to chur.

Ordered on line and picked up.Fish was grilled and delicious.Mistake made with chips as they realized they had cooked regular and not skin on but still delicious. Was charged appropriately.Nicely presented in individual containers so we could sit in car by lake and watch the Earnslaw come back.

This has to be one of the hidden gems of Queenstown.The food is next level and the menu is extensive and reasonable for the quality received.The Blue cod, along with the macncheese & corn bites.....amazing.$5 for tu meke milkshake(thick and tasty)one of the best Ive had.

The shop was humming when we placed our order so we had to wait about 20mins. No worries with that. It was great to see the shop busy as. When we got home and opened our parcel all looked great. Perfectly cooked chips. However, the Hoki fillets turned out to be inedible. Brown colour, a little greasy and smelling strongly of Ammonia. I have a feeling the fish had been frozen for a little to long. Might try the burgers next time.

Had the cauliflower cheese and gravy after a co worker suggested it. Been a while since I had an amazing cauliflower dish in NZ. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes as well:)

Received a email with the confirmed address and turned up 20 mins later.Had looked online but this stood out as the best place and being the foodie I am I travelled 5kms into town to see what the fuss was aboutI ordered the orange roughy battered and was Blown away at the batter !! it was tender, beautifully crisp and the fish was so fresh it melted like butter.The chips were amazing and ordered some potatoFritters which they actually threw in one extra for free.I’ll be telling my friends all about this place.Absolutely blew my expectations out of the water.10/10 best fish and chips in South Island !Thankyou

Photo does not do it justice. These are the perfect example of what proper Kiwiana fish ‘n’ chips should be. Amazingly fresh, perfectly cooked blue cod. Delicious hand-cut chips and decent amount of seasoning! Medium sized sauces are huge, definitely only needed a small size. Enough chips in one scoop for two adults. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! Well worth the 40 minute return trip from LHE. Don’t bother going anywhere else! We also got a special treat which was nice :)

Never write reviews but this crew deserves it. Tastiest takeaways in Queenstown. Best bang for buck. Huge portions, was so stoked when I got the loaded wedges today.Not to mention cool, friendly staff and never late on orders. Not just a fish and chip joint, heaps of range and always consistent with their top quality food 😍

Im not a fan of fish and chips but these were OUTSTANDING. Beautifully cooked and served with a side dish of humour. Definitely worth the slight detour out of Queenstown!

Wow! Great food and great value! Crumbed fish was great, and plentiful. Chur chips are fantastic, hand cut and twice fried to crispy perfection outside with a soft interior. I loved the moorish cauliflower with cheese and gravy and the Kumar fritter was delicious. Too full for the slaw which is in fridge for tomorrow.

The chips and gravy were amazing. Had a burger missing from my order but it got sorted ASAP and I was super stoked with the service. Thanks so much guys. A+ fish and chips.

Ordered from here last night for a nice eat in meal whilst on honeymoon & just have to say these are the best fish & chips Ive ever had. We had cheese and gravy added to the chips too. YUM

This fish and chip show slaps harder then your step dad after to many beers. Possibly the best chippy in NZ, if not the world. This chippy has given me the ability to fully sympathize with anyone from my 600-lb life, I understand now. My only complaint is it isnt open for breakfast so on Sundays I have to nurse my hangover till 12 before I can have it instantly cured by whatever deep fried heroin Ive chosen to order. Chur til I die.

A little fish & chip shop on the corner of Fernhill road next to the convenience store. Only takeaway, but there is a table outside the shop.I had deep fried blue cod, mussels, potato fritters, and chips. It was fantastic! The oil used was good quality, and the batter wasn’t over the top! The choice of seasoning is a nice touch.Reminded me of the fish & chips I use to have as a kid... definitely recommend this place.

Hidden gem in Queenstown. We found this place while looking for takeaways food. Their fish and chips were delicious. Lots of varieties and cheap as well. You will see that the locals come here as well. Very friendly.

Ordered the $10 fish and chips on the phone, arrived 15min later to pick it up. Ended up eating at the bench outside, and ordering oysters and kumera fritters. The Chur seasoning was tasty but a bit salty. The fish, batter, chips and oysters were good. Friendly and fast service as well. Although its a little out of Queenstown city center, would still recommend coming here, its a short 10min drive and worth trying.

Simple place with amazing food, small but cozy, theres a video game if you want to spend some time waiting. Theres a small parking space and a table outside if the place if crowded.

The best fish and chips in Queenstown that i had to go for 2nd round. Wish I could have a big stomach for 3rd round. Fresh fish menu was super delicious and their scallops were magnificent... Definitely willing to come back for the third round! :)
