Chucs Belgravia - Restaurant in Gueckedou, Guinea
I went there for my first time, you need to book before going, I didnt book but they were kind enough to give me a table.Service was excellent and food was great, place is really cosy.
I sat outside as a solo diner. Great service.. I had the rigatoni and green saladCouldn’t be faulted
Patience is rewarded at this restaurant in Belgravia, as is having a reservation. On a cool, clear October evening in London people were willing to eat on the patio which led me to believe the food was going to be good. The restaurant was very busy and it took a while to get seated even with our reservation. We were greeted and seated by the evening manager who also turned out to be our server. At least one other reviewer encountered this woman and complained about her, but we actually chatted with her and discovered a lovely and knowledgeable person. Our interactions with her helped make a memorable dinner. Appetizers of crab bruschetta and zucchini fritti were excellent. I had the Orechiette, broccoli and Italian sausage pasta, and my partner had the Risotto Verde with prawn tartare. Both dishes were first class. I was a little disappointed that the bar was out of all the Scotches that interested me, but that happens almost everywhere I go these days. Fortunately, the wine list was good and we enjoyed our selection very much. A nice Amaro digestif capped a great meal.
The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and well trained. The food was also excellent. Overall this is what I expect from a restaurant in Belgravia.
The lady that welcomed me (Denisewas not friendly at all it’s the same women with dark hair and glasses that was mentioned in one of the reviews she should be fired ! If this is the first impression of a restaurant it’s very bad.. the place looks really nice and the food too but this lady really makes you start on a bad mood the morale of the staff is not good because of her and the other Italian manager and they keep talking in Italian..I asked the bartender and he called another staff member which was absolutely amazing and went not only out of his way but above and beyond his name is Leo if I come back it will be just because of him and I think he should be front of the house
Highly advise greeting people who come in and offering them and asking what they need or taking orders before they have to ask you, especially if you have gone to all that effort xLovely food!
Perfectly done pasta, I enjoyed the crab linguine. Courgette frites a tasty side if youre famished ☺️ Friendly and attentive service, smart dining room but quite cosy too.
Have heard rave reviews and finally made it today for my husband’s birthday. Leo made it the perfect dinner/ outside table so our dog could join and delectable fresh Italian cuisine. Tasted wine and had bday treat on the house. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks for making our day !
Beautiful place, extremely friendly staff and some of the best club sandwiches you’ll ever have.
Such an incredible restaurant, amazing food and the waiters and maitre D in particular took really good care of us. Perfect for a date
Incredible food, and immaculate service. Specifically Leo. The assistant manager who made sure we were happy with everything at all times. They also serve a fantastic mojito, and the truffle and rice balls were to Die for!
There are only 2 vegan mains on the menu (Mediterranean salad or Plant based burgerand only the salad was available. Unfortunately, the salad was extremely oily and lacking substance and overall I was disappointed with this experience. The waitress did not even ask if anyone had any allergies or intolerances, and this is pretty standard in restaurants these days let alone a place like chucs. It would be great if chucs would add more vegan options and to improve the ones they currently have, including making sure that they are available and lack of substance is not compensated by being drenched in olive oil.
bad smell from plates, the chef asked the waiter to make all burgers well done because he was not bothered to do mine in medium rare and the rest two well done.
Nice atmosphere definitely one of the best Italian food I had in London.Extremely delicious Arancini and the steak tartare.Main course Crab 🦀 Absolutely mouthwatering .
I don’t know what these reviews are referring to, but the food was terrible, apart from the steak tartare which was their only saving grace. Breads are stale just as the “fresh” pasta they claim. Staff look as if they were born tired, the atmosphere was stiff you cannot move. And a hidden service fee when paying the bill. Would not refer at all
What a delightful find in the heart of London! We strolled in without a reservation and "Denise" the manager ensured we were seated and welcomed warmly. She personally oversaw our order, its delivery to our table, and ensured it was to our complete satisfaction.. Denise was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and excellent in dealing with our questions on wine and our food choices. The food, ambience, service and staff were a 10 out of 10 and we loved every minute. Congratulations Denise on making our evening in London (we live in Canada), so wonderful!
We loved the design, staff was lovely, the place has a calm vibe. Food was really good, we especially enjoyed the desserts. It was the perfect place for my friend and I to catch up.
This was a very uncomfortable experience. We arrived and waited 15 minutes before having to ask for a drink. A nice chap called Leo then gave us Prosecco on the house by way of apology. Alas, said Prosecco was warm! We went on to order our meals and they were decent but we continued to struggle to get any staff attention; they were clearly overwhelmed. By the end of the meal, there were six children in our part of the restaurant. We have a seven-year-old ourselves and didn’t bring him with us because we thought it would be a special meal! In the event, we were surrounded at 9pm by tired, crying kids and it felt more like a high street on a Saturday night! We asked finally for a table outside to have our dessert and were told there were none free. When we left 10-15 minutes later there were actually four free! All in all, somewhat bemusing that you can get it so wrong in such a great location with a solid concept but we were mystified by how lacking the overall experience was by the end of it.
Terrible, bland food which is way over priced for what it is. 3-4 different servers were serving us and had to be flagged down every time, even on a quiet night when it was not busy. Air con not switched on during the hottest day of the summer. All style and no substance. Highly disappointed.
Was an amazing experience, delicious food and our server Leo was so friendly and made it extra special.
The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.I highly recommend this restaurant #dinnertime
The place is really fancy and good food
Great food, terrible service.Moody short girl with dark hair and glasses greeted us as the door of an empty restaurant with a ‘Have a reservation?’. Hello would be nice!Expect to sit in a restaurant filled with empty plates and glasses while the staff play on their mobiles. When the food does arrive (if it’s available that isit won’t disappoint.
A lovely decorated bistro-esque restaurant with fancy Italian pastas and cuisine. The truffle arancini from their cicchetti menu were absolutely gorgeous and their ragu pasta was amazing. Highly recommend this place for a luxurious date out with friends, family or even a date.My only criticism would be that the staff has some trouble understanding our orders. This may be due to the fact that perhaps English is not a first language to some of the waiters, but nonetheless they still failed to give us the correct wine drink twice and ultimately gave us the wrong sized glass.Apart from that it was mostly a very enjoyable experience. Five stars for the food, easily. The interior was lovely to dine in and overall the dishes themselves honestly made the whole trip worthwhile. Will consider visiting again to try more of their menu! 🍝
Stopped off by chance and had a lovely breakfast. Good atmosphere, furnishings and service well definitely try to book a table when were in the area again.
Popped in for just coffee, small cups but nice coffee. However, asked 2 seperate people to kindly bring sugar to my outside table and both conveniently forgot!! Back to basics eh!I ended up going back inside to get it. If you are going to charge a statutory service charge on 2 coffees then the service needs to be 100%.
Lovely spot on the corner of a gorgeous area. Tasty food. Let down by the repeatedly confused staff and being charged the bill of the couple next to us because of it! Expensive apple juice, iced coffee, toast and eggs Benedict.
Very bad service, wait too long for the bill and food because of short staff all the time. The waiters are very apologetic all the time because of this
Tasty good, great atmosphere! Very friendly stuff. We enjoyed our dinner.
Only positive was that the place was open. Poor house wine. Very poor Ragú totally tasteless. Truffle fries had zero truffle taste. Burger a replacement for the bad Ragú, you have to have very good arm strength to cut through a piece and enjoy the extra black pepper that the burger was flavored with. Incidentally, the bar was covered in a mound of dirty dishes!! Hmmmm! Where is the health department?
Stopped in for a quick coffee and snack. It’s a nice little cafe. Got the sale e pepe pasta it was a small dish but good. Service was a little slow but they seemed to be understaffed. Our waitress was trying hard to keep up with everything thing.
Extremely disappointed.Ordered Milanese Chicken which sounded super nicely on the menu. All I got was tasteless chicken breast, several rocket leaves and half a lemon. Thats all for 22£. I left hungry and annoyed. Waiter was not super polite either.I seriously do not understand how this restaurant get so many good reviews. One star for interiors, at least I was not dissatisfied by that. Will never come back again.
The waiter was a life saver as I had forgotten my laptop on the table and he made sure Id get it back upon my return. Pizza was great also!
Second time in two weeks we come to Chucs, food and drinks were great but Brian & Adrian service was utterly wonderful. Thank you! We’ll be back soon
Delicious foodWonderful staffGreat coffee and atmosphere!Return is a must ☺️
Exceptional evening. The Manager, Bryan displayed the most professional service in seating us in a great table perfect top celebrate a birthday dinner. His attentiveness to ensure a seamless event was perfectly granted to the selection of excellent wines inc an outstanding house rose to the Italian methode champagne selection. The suggestion of pasta and the staple fish dish with crab on toast was sublime. Excellence all round. Chucs Belgravia is a rare find and we look forward to return soon. The staff make the elegance and experience or the more worthwhile.Aurelia
Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Belgravia. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Crab Linguini is my new favourite.
Amazing athmosphere and exceptional food ! Club sandwich and Croque Monsieur are highly suggested, the service was also remarkable.
friendly staff. The food is good but not excellent. The risotto i had was a little bit too salty. The gnocchi my friend had is a little bit mushy.
Great belinis, good food and atmosphere. The location is great. It was empty-ish at around 6pm on a Monday but looks like it was pretty reservation-centered during busy hours. Highly recommend the risotto!
The only reason this establishment misses out on a full house of stars.is the fact that it did not serve 5 star quality wine. I mean its located in Belgravia....there is no excuse for not serving quality wine and unfortunately no matter if the food was tasty yet simple, the lack of palatable wine was distinctly lacking. They did however redeem hemselves with the service.
I was walking in the peaceful Belgravia when i saw this small and lovely restaurant. I just took a coke but it was enough to appreciate the calm of this place and the kindness of it staff.
Good atmosphere with sense of a luxury. We started with Belllini & glass of red wine, bread basket and Pecorino & Tomato croquette. Was quite good although the qroquette dish was quite miniature..For main course we order the Chicken milanese and poached halibut - both was clocked to perfection but with very mild taste and also comes with no sides that needed to be order separately.Overall nice place with a bit less value for the money.
We had the most lovely meal to celebrate my Dads 60th. Both of the waitresses who looked after us were amazing and really made up laugh/contributed to the evening. Food was exceptional, the setting was even more gorgeous and wed been given a lovely table too. Thanks for everything. We will be back soon!
Outstanding culinary fare. Prices are very reasonable for such a high end and distinguished restaurant. Ambience is perfect and the wait staff were impeccably kind and forever accommodating. Irrefutably, one of the best eateries in London and a must try for the uninitiated. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff, good service and food. Great ambiance perfect Sunday brunch with friends.
Seriously, they need a chef.. it is his/her responsibility to pick and buy the ingredients. Came for breakfast, ordered the veggie breakfast.. Everything was tasteless.. the eggs (omg), the mushrooms, etcWith good tasting produce minor cooking mistakes are surpassed by the taste.. everything was cooked well but I had tasted better from tins and supermarket dinners boxes..I had my suspicion when we asked for additional or side dish of cheese of any type .. they said they had only grated parmesan.. a kitchen that doesnt carry cheese .. I wasnt surprised later .. they invested heavily in décor and branding, I wish they did the same with their food.. left half of my plate.. going for brunch later
Beautiful venue, however, when we walked in no one was in the room to even say hi so we waited a bit when a lovely lady showed up after a few minutes time and showed us to our table. We sat down for breakfast, and so menu was lovely, ordered two main dishes and fresh juice. Juice was lovely, food took 30min to arrive even tho we were the second table there. When food arrived it was cold. Well, barely warm, knife wasnt sharp at all so I had to wrestle with my food to cut it :DLovely place, maybe we got there on a wrong day.
Really delicious food. So many things on the menu I would enjoy so was a bit spoilt for choice! Lovely service, ambience and atmosphere. The staff were great at letting me adjust my booking as well. Would definitely visit again, and try their brunch menu!
Best coffee ive had in uk so far. Totally worth it. Service was prompt and very nice. For coffee we got a glass of water on the house which in other places you have to ask for and coffee was extremely good. Recommend to anybody who drinks coffee for the taste.
