Christy's Irish Pub in New Haven

Christys Irish Pub is one of the best bars in New Haven. The owner and bartenders are very nice and professional. 5-stars easy!

Authentic Irish pub. Great food too! Good selection of beer on tap. Great selection of Irish Whiskey.Veggie burger is delicious. It’s house made.I wish they would offer the steak fries again which were my favorite.Good options for vegetarians. Nachos are great.

I’ve been living in New Haven for two years now. A friend recently invited me to meet at Christy’s for a late night drink. He said it’s real New Haven. You meet locals and all manner of interesting people there, he said. I was very excited. A new spot in town to check out ain’t ever a bad thing. So come to Christy’s I did. Sadly, it was the opposite of what my friend promised. The place is dirty. And the service ain’t all that good either. I didn’t feel safe there at all. And I couldn’t trust the food or the drinks. It’s not a nice thing to do, writing bad reviews, but I feel it’s my duty to share feedback like this so that others can avoid the pain of having to experience what I did there. This place should be closed down. Or at the very least should improve its culture and service. New Haven deserves better bars. And there are amazing bars in town. But Christy’s ain’t one of them.

Monday night build your own burger is pretty damn good. Put the jalapeños on the veggie burger. Youll be glad you did.

Yesterday I called in to have a Shepard’s pie puréed for my grandfather who is in the hospital on a liquid diet. They were so kind and accommodating, and when I sent someone to pick it up they didn’t charge me at all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. I really appreciated it and my grandfather was delighted to have a delicious meal. ❤️

I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was the best I ever had. I am 300% satisfied, my only complaint is that I dont live closer.

Very enjoyable time. Everything was pretty good. Its an Irish pub though so the lighting in there, like the pubs over in Ireland, England and other places in Europe, was very dim. Upstairs TV, where we sat, wasnt working. Would have been perfect otherwise. But, 4.5 out of 5 for me

Brilliant Food, Exceptionally great! Burgers are absouloutely fantastic, Tater Tots are great! Great Place to sit and watch sports! Great Breakfeast food too! A bit pricey! Bathrooms are clean and a very nice atmosphere!

We usually just go here for a few drinks everyone now and then. Good service and comfortable atmosphere. Tonight we ordered food and were gravely disappointed. My onion rings were so over cooked that they crumbled when I touched them and my mushroom cap burger was more than just burnt. The food was unedible.

The pub food is good. Atmosphere is perfectly grungy. Oh, and, theyre and Arsenal bar. This means they are good people too and know their sport.

Fun and relaxed atmosphere. Watched soccer,drink some beers and had some delicious Fish and chips.

They were highly rude, young guy bartending made some bad stories about being in the service. Started to flirt with my wife behind my back while using the restroom and charged me 8 buck for tap beer while I saw him pocket the rest. Wifes drink was flat to add to this all. Avoid at all cost if your looking for a bar to bring your lady to. This is no more than a hole in the floor in this area.

Was very displeased with Christys Irish Pub.bartender was a young male covered in tattos. When my boyfriend and i Walked in we were not greeted by the bartender and waited about 5 minutes for him to finally take our drink order. Bartender waites till my boyfriend whent into the restroom to start flirting with me. He habded my my drink anf still hadnt placed my boyfriends drink down yet. After making it clear i wasnt interested in taljing he continued ti try to talk to me untill he saw ny boyfriend come out and then he walked away.He charged us $8.00 for two drinks on top. The cider i ordered was watered downand tasted horrible. Bartender was very rude and snappy when my boyfriend would try to have a conversation about the pub. Bartender would wait until my boyfriend would look away to try and smile at me and flirt more. Horrible service. Overly priced. Rude Behavior, and watered down cider. Stay clear of this pub.

Very Dissapointed. Took too long to get service. Menues were beer streaked. Rap music playing (in an Irish pub). Had a Guinness and left to find someplace else.

Absolutely the best place to watch soccer in Connecticut. I went here for a World Cup match and was so impressed — an amazing crowd, impeccable service, delicious food, and a huge selection of beer on tap.

They have good deals pretty much all the time kinda like a "happy day" food tastes pretty good very chilled atmosphere small patio but cozy and Mondays 5 dollar burgers you have to be there!.

Dark, narrow and loud of music. Beer-soaked aspect borne of a fierce and raucous sports bar. Food rough, plain. Enough beer makes any carbohydrate palatable.

We went to Christys on Saint Patricks day, and were not very happy with it. We didnt eat so I cant judge the food, but there was no Irish atmosphere, no Irish music and the drinks were sub par. It got very crowded, and the waitresses were basically pushing people around. The bartenders were not helpful either. Not likeThe Christys we remembered. Very unfortunate

My girlfriend and I stopped by on saint Patricks day for some corned beef. This place did not disappoint, one of the best corned beef reubens I have had in this area

Ive had friends and family whove worked here, the atmosphere is always pleasant and the game is always on. Try the Irish curry, its wonderful, as well their drink selection is always on point. Its always a good time at the public house.

Burger was AWESOME......mIne was ordered med. with grilled onions and red peppers with everything else. “Soccer on TV” was what initially brought here.....food was amazing.Everyone one else’s food looked amazing as well! I had food envy until I received the burger.Beer wasn’t cheap tho.

I like Christys for an after work beer. Good beer selection, pretty decent food too. The burger is my go to on the menu. Its a little tight but not usually too bad on a weekday afternoon .

Food is ok, mostly hangover type stuff. I appreciate the 22oz magners bottles. Drinks are priced competitively, bathroom could use a good clean and updating. Parking is tough.

Went there for my first time on Saturday night with a friend. It was late but the bartender was nice enough to let us order food before the kitchen closed. A good experience and good food. Great beer selection too.

Ive passed this place up a few times thinking it would have weak bar food. I was wrong. The burger was the best Ive had in a while. The Buffalo Mac was phenomenal. Ill definitely be back.

The staff are welcoming, and they always have a nice selection of rotating drafts. The Tuesday late night traditional Irish music sessions are a blast, and anyone with an instrument or a drinking song in mind is welcome to join.

Great beer selection and great food. The Sheppards pie potato skins are to die for!!! The bartenders are super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

I like to go on Friday nights after work. The staff (Christy, Gary, Owen, Kelli and Mikehave always made me feel welcome. My girlfriend and I like their sign "Enter As Strangers Leave As Friends".
